so I'm putting up this Journal in the hopes that people will see it and stop asking.
I've tried doing Commissions in the past and found it very difficult and stressful for me.
It's hard enough drawing for myself, and harder still to do gift art and art trades.
Doing commissions is even worse because I feel obligated to get the art done if I'm doing it for money, and if I get stuck I'll fall into a self-destructive loop of depression and anxiety, were the longer I go without being able to draw, the more stressed and depressed I become which makes it even harder for me to be creative and draw.
I honestly wish I had the ability to draw on demand and take Commissions, but unfortunately I can't draw on demand, and can't deal with the stress that comes from worrying about letting people down.
so I'm putting up this Journal in the hopes that people will see it and stop asking.

I found a gallery with art and themes I liked so I give it a watch.
A lil wile later I find I've gotten 2 notes from the artist.
The first one is asking why I watched them.
The second note which appears to have come an hour after the first,
The artist assumes that I'm ignoring them.
I attempt to send a note to inform the artist that i was not in fact ignoring them,
and had only just received their notes as I was offline when they sent them.
Find out I can't send notes as they have blocked me.
Try sending them a message on their front page to let them know I wasn't ignoring them.
Get temporally unblocked and receive a note from them saying "it's ok." only for them to suddenly freak out about me sending a message on they're front page.
They re-block me wile my head is still spinning, and then completely take down their gallery, along with all their art and everything...

I've already got 2 players lined up, and was wondering if any of you guys might like to join in.
Sessions will done be over Skype, with some use of roll 20 when needed.
Gonna try an set it up for Sundays, or Saturdays depending on what works for most players.
Would like to have at most, 5 players if possible, an at least 3 if not.

Posted 9 years agoIt seems the older I get, the harder an herder it is for me to draw anything.
I hate it... it seems like the only way I can create anything, is only after the most perfect conditions have been
met, to give me any kind of motivation to draw.
Any one else experience something like this.. and if so... did you manage to overcome it?

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens

OOoohoo ho ho boy~!
I didn't know what to expect when I first heard that J.J. Abrams and Disney would be doing the next Star Wars movies! All I could do was wait patiently for the Trailer an hope for the best.
Now that I've seen the Trailer and have had a small taste of whats coming, I have to say...
..I'm fucking Exited!!
I looks and feels like Star Wars, but a little different. You can tell that Lucas isn't piloting this ship anymore. It feels like something old just got younger and full of energy!
The clip with the X-wings is what really got me! I haven't seen X-wings since Return of the Jedi!
Now seeing them coming back after all these years, looking fresh and Bad Ass, I'm getting pumped!
And compared to the star fighters from episodes I to III it feels like the professionals have arrived, as if the X-wing are saying, "Step back rookies... Let some real star fighters show you how its done!"
Story and plotwise I still don't know what to expect, the Trailer give very little insight into the characters. All I know so far is we have a Black Storm Trooper (good guy, main protagonist?), soccer ball droid (adorable sidekick), Girl on speeder bike (girl protagonist), Cross lightsaber wielding Sith (main antagonist, duh)
Millennium Fucking Falcon! ( AAAAALL my nostalgia feels!! <3)
With the amount of hype this thing is going to generate, and with the legacy it has to live up to, I know some people are going to inevitably hate this movie! Whether or not its a good movie remains to be seen. So far it looks good, and I'm looking forward to watching it when it comes out!

No more Commissions
Posted 11 years agoI've come to the conclusion that I just can't do commissions any more.
The last several months have been a constant up hill struggle to draw anything.
I desperately want to draw, but it takes all my focus just to draw simple doodles.
I thought money would be a strong enough incentive to draw art on command, but I can barely draw anything for myself, much less draw anything for other people.
To those of you waiting for commissions from me, I am very sorry. I did my best to keep going but i just can't go any farther.
I'm going back to how I was, drawing what I wanted when I wanted. Letting my imagination go wild instead of trying to force it into creating on command.
I'm not doing commissions again... at least not for a very long time.
Again I apologise to everyone waiting for commissions from me.

Collin counts two cans at a time, counting each pair of cans as 1
Collin counts out to 37, and then multiplies it by 10 which equals 370, or $3.70.
Collin goes to write down $3.70
Boss assumes Collin is writing down the number 37 as the number of cans he counted.
Boss tells Collin to stop an write down $1.85
Collin realizes the assumption and tries to explain.
Boss doesn't want to hear an explanation, Boss tells Collin to stop arguing, and do the job right.
Collin tries to explain that he is doing the job right.

An uncomfortable sensation
Posted 11 years agoI've had a rather unpleasant sensation wile working on the last pic I just posted.
It hasn't been that long that I've not been drawing. I've gone for longer periods without drawing in the past and never experienced anything like this.
Wile I was working on the picture I felt vary unsure of myself. It felt like I was a stranger in my own body, as if I wasn't qualified or experienced enough to do the art that I was doing. Even though I knew exactly what I was doing, and how to do it, I felt way in over my head, as if all my knowledge about art was just something I had read in a book, and had never put into practice.
I eventually found my center, and got some of my confidence back, but it was still vary unsettling.
Just needed to write it down an get it out of my system, and wondering if any of you guys have experienced anything similar?

Taking it slow
Posted 11 years agoI'm finally back home, bin here a few days now.
I know I said I'd open up commissions as soon as I got back, which i still plan to do.
I'm just taking it slow for now, getting steeled back in, an trying to get a job here before all the openings close up.
I'll open up commissions again, just not until I'm ready to.. I don't want to open them up when i have no will to draw, or have no time because of work.

I've moved up to about the middle of B.C. along with
Caoimhe and an another friend!
Using my friend's phone to give me "limited" internet access. Wont have real internet for at least 2 weeks.
Looking for jobs right now, hoping to get work in a mine up here, if not I'll try for one of the grocery stores!

One way mission to colinize Mars

A Colony on Mars! It feels so Scifi, yet If this project goes through it will be a reality. What I wouldn't give to be one of the colonists to first set foot on Mars, and be a part of a community that will build a life on the new frontier!
I know I could never make the cut, but that doesn't stop how exited I am, I can't wait the 10 yeas till they day they send the first 4 colonists!
If this mission is a success I think it will be the pinnacle of our accomplishments in this century, and a rallying cry for humanity to push even farther into outer space!
