Posted 5 years agoSo. A few people will remember in the time between 2017 and 2019 this part of the fandom had a bit of a problem with a user known as IceGodSage. This guy has genuinely created a problem I didn't actually think possible would somehow get worse with him not being here.
Before he decided to move over to his "kissin-the-chef" or whatever-it-was-called-account he sold a bundle of his characters on to me.
All 4 of his equine characters (Sage, Azar, Zephyr, etc...), and most importantly, the gold-white tiger that also had an equine version: Zerrin - who on his own cost me over $220 USD. There was also a Rhino version of the dragon that now belongs to a fur I actually like talking to but I don't usually bring that up.
These were sold on to me so long ago however that I can't trace payments from 2018/early-'19 and because of the fact he chose to delete the conversations on Telegram I can't even do much other than pull up conversations with other friends from the time when I discussed that I had bought them.
I think this totalled up to about $350 USD worth of characters and artwork that I have now found out has been sold to other furs in 2019. I hadn't posted ANY of these guys into my gallery because my plan was to take them, update their designs a bit and THEN put them out for everyone to enjoy without the tar of that utter scumbag on them.
So understandably, I'm angry. I made mistakes and bought characters off of a guy who clearly was only interested in money and using the characters to repeatedly make sales and con money out of more people.
I know this is my first journal in months but these are things I've had to say for over 2 years now.

A Little Update

So in light of everything that's been going on I felt maybe making a little journal updating you all would be a good idea.
So, if anyone's wondering why I'm fairly inactive on here, and even my Twitter, it's simply just because I've not had time to be going around posting things. I fully realise I've not even posted any of the stuff I have received of my new Dragon design on FA, or even finished posting the stuff of the characters I've chosen to keep to my name. I still have a bunch of them available for sale/trade. And if you really feel like picking up a big beefy stud? Feel free to contact me... do it through notes if you don't have me on Telegram.
Another rather large consumer of my time has of course, been work. I am still working at present within a hospital. I've been pretty lucky in that it's not been too bad in the local area with the whole COVID-19 pandemic but it has put a lot of strain on workplace relations. My already poor workplace relation with my boss has boiled over more than once into arguments over their treatment of myself and other staff during a time where they really should be supporting them and not trying to nitpick at every tiny little thing that goes wrong. It just proves incompetence more than anything else. It's majorly frustrating. I think there's going to be an unforeseen issue with their low-paid workers once it's back to as normal as things can be.
As for the fandom... well, I feel I've lost a lot of my old friends. It's a shame really, but I've not kept in touch with them over the last year. Things pushed me out of the fandom for a couple years really and I've felt ready to come back for a while but, not really been able to reconnect with those old friends properly, it's really just my fault ^^;. I'll probably do a clear out of my telegram messages pretty soon just so I'm down to people I at least hope I can talk with more. I'm happy I've managed to connect with at least one or two though. I'm hoping to commission new stuff, maybe refresh a couple of my other characters' designs a little.

So for those who I've not already told - I deleted every tweet I've ever made over on Twitter and blacked out my profile. And I also cleared my Toyhouse Page- And yes I'm aware this was probably stupid to do without proper explanation:
I needed a fresh start. I needed to finally let my character mature with my tastes, I needed to remove all the previous negativity that surrounded me, and my social media. It's something I've felt building up for months and months and I've not been doing anything about it because I either didn't have the means to do anything about it or I didn't have the motivation to really go through with it. I need to make a step forwards and this is starting with a redesign of the character that started everything for me, Slyphin, my Red Dragon. I want to make his new design something people can enjoy, while being something unique and still identifiable as me, and more to the point, something I'll be excited to commission, something I hope others will be excited to see, and for artists to be excited to draw... as much as it's probably going to wind up costing me a little extra if I make the new tattoo a bit complex like I have a tendency to do.
I need to overhaul a lot of my character lineup. And this is starting with the collection of characters I've found piling up over the years and me doing nothing with them is really annoying. One of those is the first character I ever adopted... and I'm really heartbroken to let him go but... I'm not doing anything with him, he needs a home with someone who's going to give him the love he deserves. And I have a number of R34 characters existing in my collection but they likely won't resurface on my commission profile unless they're in pictures with my actual characters. and I'll probably post them myself on Twitter and probably something like e621 'cause as much as they're my characters by name they're not really that unique and if someone wants to use them for RP I'll let 'em. It's just they're there if I ever feel commissioning an R34 with some characters I enjoy.
