For over 14 years, Smooshkin has been a significant part of my creative life. The communities I've built, on FurAffinity and elsewhere, have been a source of immense joy (and horror) and inspiration, and I am grateful for every moment.
As my creative journey continues to evolve in new directions, it's time for me to formally close this chapter. To ensure the characters I’ve made find new homes where they can continue to thrive, I will be holding a final sale of my existing character designs. This is an opportunity for you to grab them before they’re gone forever. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for an incredible journey.
The Character Sale: How to Participate
The sale will be managed through my Smooshkin Discord server to keep offers organized. The server is being deleted soon so you only need to join if you wish to participate in the character sale.

The Future of My Species
The Erezu species and the Riddle of Bronze ARPG are not ending. We are still in beta and functioning on a separate website/Discord server for RoB. For all future RoB updates, community events, and lore, you can find that here:

My older species will become open and stay open and I will not be revisiting the lore or assets for them. Any remaining MYO slots are redundant (and also several years old by now). Ferragon and Dullahinny are now owned by faedread.
Up until the final server closure, I’ll consider offers on my other species if you want to become the new owner/s, or they will just become open and “retired”.
Some creatures and species are being repurposed in some of my new and future projects on my new personas.

cyst in my drawing wrist + bday month updates
Posted 2 years agoHi. I wanted to offer explanation for the slow content. A few months ago the ganglion cyst that had been developing in my drawing wrist got bad enough that drawing was becoming painful. I tried to push through it and see if it'd go away but my phys therapy doc told me it was a direct result of drawing microtraumas and I should look into treatment for any hope of it going away.
I did, and I decided I didn't want to pay more into the american medical system but the VA was taking way too long to approve me at the local VA location.
I fell into a deep depression because it felt like my livelihood was at risk. My only fear is damage to my drawing arm. So I haven't been doing my work and I have yet to send out Patron gifts this month.
I'm sorry.
The good news;
I did my research and I carefully treated the cyst myself a few days ago using suitable medical equipment I have on hand over cam to my friends. KEK. I've been letting the remaining fluid disperse for a few days but my wrist mobility is back to normal and there's no longer as much pressure on my median nerve and I can draw without discomfort.
I will do my best to make up for the last few months and I will have Patron gifts sent out soon.
That said, because I have not been able to draw, I've fallen very behind on my bills and I have entirely relied on my Patrons to get me through this until I was able to do smth about it.

⚠️Moving again, 20k Watchers, Sales
Posted 5 years agoHey everyone, I have been around but super inactive online. I know most folks on my Discords know but I wanted to make a quickish post with the latest updates so I can stop worrying about it.
I am right in the middle of selling my condo in Las Vegas and moving back to Florida. I never should have left. Though Vegas is amazing and I love it, I found that I have become depressed being away from the water and rain. For the last year I have found myself daydreaming about Florida and crying when I think about visiting the beaches or smelling the ocean again and I can't keep pretending I will be happy here, as much as I love the city.
So, a moving truck will be almost exactly 2kUSD and I currently only have enough for gas expenses. I will be driving it myself as hiring a truck would be over 6k and fuck that tbh. So I will be hosting another of my famous OC sales to cover this very important move back to the east coast for me and my animals lmao. That is insane and I couldn't properly find words to describe how I feel when I think about when I started drawing back in about 2009 to where I am now. Though sometimes my progress has been slow, or stopped entirely ala my military service, I couldn't be more thankful for the people that follow my art.
I've laughed, I've cried, I've wanted to quit, etc, but my followers make it possible for me to continue and, because I struggle to draw for only myself, keep me going when I feel like I can't anymore. Streaming for you guys is always a blast and lately I've been playing games with you in my game discord and I really couldn't be more appreciative of your attention.
I have a lot of stuff planned for later this year and next, such as art books, more merch and image series as well as further expanding on my Patreon offers.
Anyway thanks everyone. I won't be asking for donations for this move as the amount is not beyond my ability this time since I won't be making the same mistake with the moving truck again. ><
Also PS. All my owed work and waitlist progress will be very slow until about mid-July but I will still do my best to keep working on it when I can until then. Keep an eye on the trello.
I am right in the middle of selling my condo in Las Vegas and moving back to Florida. I never should have left. Though Vegas is amazing and I love it, I found that I have become depressed being away from the water and rain. For the last year I have found myself daydreaming about Florida and crying when I think about visiting the beaches or smelling the ocean again and I can't keep pretending I will be happy here, as much as I love the city.
So, a moving truck will be almost exactly 2kUSD and I currently only have enough for gas expenses. I will be driving it myself as hiring a truck would be over 6k and fuck that tbh. So I will be hosting another of my famous OC sales to cover this very important move back to the east coast for me and my animals lmao. I'm willing to part with some characters I wouldn't ordinarily think to sell since my fridge broke and fridges are not cheap. It'd really help me out if you would buy some of my children!

Posted 6 years agoIt's been almost a month since my father died and I'm finally at a point where I can talk about it and say thank you for all your help.
When I got the news that he was in a coma after a heart attack following a massive stroke, I was caught unprepared and didn't have the money for a last-minute ticket to Wisconsin. My mom also lives hand to mouth and had nothing. I had to cover us both.
In total, the trip cost us around $4000 including hotel fees and the exorbitant bereavement airfare.
But it was all mostly covered by the enormous generosity of my followerbase and beyond and I cannot begin to describe my gratitude for what you did.
You made an impossibly stressful situation a little bit easier and it made a world of difference to me. And my mother, who also asked me to thank you on her behalf.
Bless you all so much.
And I have to thank you further for being there for me when I got back home. I have been quiet until recently, mourning in my own ways.
But everyone was gentle with me and supportive. When I began to take commissions again, filled with inspiration gained from seeing my dad one last time, you were all there to support me and spend time with me in my art streams, or engage with me over Discord.
I've made a lot of friends over the last few weeks. And in the same breath, I've been able to let go of things I'd been hanging onto that I didn't realize were pulling me down. The experience re-ordered my priorities.
And made me all the more appreciative and thankful for the community I found here back in 2014 when I began drawing anthros more regularly.
I don't know where I'd be without it and all of you.
Your support and excitement over my art, especially as I began posting again, has really left an impression on me.
It's renewed my interest in my own art as, I'll admit, I'd been struggling this year due to things I shouldn't have allowed to control me so heavily. I lost a dearest friendship late last year and I was not able to recover from it no matter what I did. I'd lost my ability to enjoy my own company and the company of my own creations.
It's gotten much better and continues to get better every day.
I'm cautiously optimistic that my life has changed permanently for the better and I'm really pleased that this community is a part of it...
In closing;
There were some of you that sent me far more than I had any right to or deserved and there was no way I could find out who you were due to the nature of the paypal donations being somewhat anon.
Please share this journal around if you can so maybe some of those people will see this and know that I am deeply and eternally grateful.

Edit: On the phone with Delta. Just MY ticket alone is 720USD. It's going to end up around 1400 for both. FUCK. I need help..
Guys, I just found out my dad is unresponsive. Massive brain bleeding from complications from a surgery after a stroke last week. During surgery, he had a heart attack and another massive stroke. Doctor says he will not last the month, there's nothing that can be done and he has a DNR. Somehow, I need to get me and my mom up to Wisconsin or I will never forgive myself. As it stands, I do not have the money for a plane ticket for she and I.
I beg you, please help me. I am desperate. My dad and I did not have the best relationship but I couldn't forgive myself if I wasn't there.
