My cousin makes the Inkling hats from the latest Nintendo game, Splatoon, and they're made from anti-pill fleece, and filled with polyester to make the hat 3 dimensional! They are fairly unique hats, and I even own a neon green one too, and it is very comfortable and very warm. Mine is especially unique, because I requested squeakers to be inserted into the tentacles, and it just adds more fun to the hat, and everywhere I go I will squeak them. LOL! I just love it.

Posted 10 years agoIt's been a bit rough lately...
I lost my cat named, Tar on Friday, July 10th. She died on that Friday evening and she was 12 years old. It was just all of a sudden when she started showing signs of not feeling well. She seemed like she could not see or hear (or both), and she became unresponsive when I called her name several times. She was vomiting and she was also crawling and stumbling 'cause she was so weak. The more and more it all dragged on, I started to get extremely concerned and it went all downhill from there...
Me and my mom later took her to our vet and she perked up! Thank god! And the vet told us that there could be numerous things going on with her, then she added that it could possibly be neurological. Since she acted fine at the time, we decided to give her a chance and give her medication just to make sure.
So me and my mom went back home and it did NOT, in fact get better, she got much worse... So much worse that whenever I moved her or even petted her she would moan and groan. I could not even stand watching her go on like this, it was so heartbreaking to see an animal in pain and left with nothing else to do, but pray and hope she'll be okay! I stayed with her most of that evening and cried by her side. I was so emotionally exhausted it made me extremely tired, and it was so unbearable. She was still alive once I went to bed (but just barely), but my mom checked on her and she was already gone.
Ever since, it's been hard eat cereal, because she would always sit next to me and purr and kneed on my lap and she would look up at me with her cute eyes. It's also hard to get over that she won't be meowing at me once I get up in the mornings... I will really miss her. Any pet lover would miss their animal best friend. I definitely miss mine.
My parents and I decided to cremate Tar, because she was so special to us. She was with me most of my childhood, basically... And it's been a joy having her in our lives.
It's also been tough doing this one drawing for my aunt... My uncle died about 2 months ago, and every memory I've had of my uncle has resurfaced ever since I've started to draw him. I can remember his voice, and all the qualities that made him a unique person. As far as my picture goes, I've decided to draw a portrait in honor of him and I decided to gift it to my aunt and my two cousins (the ones who have lost their husband/dad)...
So yeah, it's been some deep and depressing stuff happening in my life lately... And I'm sure things will get better over time. But, there has been some huge and exciting events that have been happening as well!
But I just want to leave you all with this... I hope you cherish your family members, even the ones who aren't human. That also means friends too! Everyone can be special in your life and you never truly realize you care until they're gone...

Anyways! I finally mustered up the motivation and time to do some fixes on my Blue, Green, n' white Coywolf mask, Squeaky. It's been over 9000! ...no, just kidding (again!) it's been over a year since I last worked on the thing, and I thought it'd be time to update the little guy, and since Ohayocon is right around the corner, I decided to finish em' up at the very last minute... Because... Well, I am one heck of a procrastinator. Unfortunately. (I really need to fix my procrastination problem.)
Okay.
So! As for the updates, I have been adding things and testing things for Squeaky. I'm really happy I finally got around to this... I'm giving the poor thing a neck! Finally! He most definitely needs one... Even though I will miss having to wear him on top of my head like a welders helmet or as a hat when I need to breathe and cool off my face. Yeah, that probably ain't the most greatest looking, but I ain't no professional suiter! I'm just the kind of furry that just wants to be casual and have fun! I have no time to worry specifically about how I look to others while I'm at a convention. Although, I do have my limits... I don't want to completely look terrible, of course.
Sooo... Here's a little review/goal on what I'm hopefully going to have done on Squeaky's mask...
-A neck
-apply ear fluffs
-dental work (teeth and gums and stuff)
-black outline on the eyes and eyebrows! (Maybe!)
-arm sleeves
-Feet
-add claws (to the hand paws and feet)
-apply DVC silicone paw pads
Aaaaannnndd... I'm pretty sure that's it.

A really, really, really, really, REALLY good manga!
Posted 11 years agoIf anyone is wanting to read a good manga that will make your emotions go crazy, then you must read Immortal Rain (AKA; Meteor Methusaluh) it is packed with action as well as a hint of romance. It has a bit of graphic things in it, such as blood, violence, creepy creatures, and profanity. Behind all of that, it has an amazing story line, and I honestly never read something so good in my life. Kept me on my toes a lot, especially towards the end. Oh my god! I loved this manga so much! I wanna marry it! (Not really! Lol!) if anyone ends up reading this, I hope you won't be disappointed... Yes, it's a little old but it has quality! Just read it, and you will love it at the end! It's a real shame that it's not very popular. :'( I just hope I can spread this manga around, it's just amazing. I really enjoyed it.

What do you prefer, digital artwork or traditional artwork?
I prefer traditional (if it isn't obvious enough, *hint my work*) first off, computers are exactly a huge thing for me... Yeah, I like to use them, but figuring out codes or using Photoshop... Nuh-uh, nope, not at all for me. Something about traditional art has it's little "imperfections", and that's what I love about traditional.
If anyone would love to share what they think which is better and maybe explain why, then I'm open to read your opinions. :3

Animal/Color Symbolism!
Posted 12 years ago So I was curious to find Animal Symbolism because I really want to find my TRUE animal someday, it bugs me that I can't find a symbolic animal that represents me, the TRUE me. Well, unfortunately, still haven't found it just yet. I don't believe that my animal is a Wolf, 'cause I truly think I'm not huge brave or totally loyal person (I just really like wolves, a lot. They're adorable).
Anyways, I also stumbled upon some symbolic color meanings, if anyone's interested I suggest you check it out and maybe reflect, 'cause I like these type of things myself. Here are the links...

They will be free too, so no money needed! I do character drawings and animal drawings (non-realistic)... My little pony, Pokemon, Adventure Time, and animals like, Canines, cats, rodents, horses... You name it! Lol! Holiday things even! Like Christmas or Halloween for example!
I only have 2 more slots to fill, sooooo...
Oh! Another thing... I do not do yiff, gore, blood, or any adult art... I'd rather keep it general audience. :( Sorry.
All I ask in return is some credit and some patience, because I have a lot of other things and I cannot multitask! >_<

and (I'm excited about this one!) I get to create a cartoony mask for this nice lady that works at a Petsmart store near me. She asked if I could build her a doberman with cropped ears. Right now, I'm in the process of making a reference sheet for her, and I'm crossing my fingers that she'll like it, and I will post it on here when I get a chance to. As for AuroraWolfe, I think we're doing what's called an art trade and sort of a gift exchange... I don't know what you call it, but that's something like it. I'm excited to do that as well.
Aannnndddddd... My cartoon coyote/wolf mask, he is sort of finished... He has no neck fur and I'm having a tough time trying to get myself to finish it... ugh... But I can't, I need to figure it out some more, which may take a while. I have so much work to do for people and all I'm doing is procrastinating and being lazy. -___-' if only I could buy an abundant amount of motivation!

This mask (squeaky Coyote) is taking ssssso long and on top of that, I'm procrastinating soooo bad. ...I'll get it done eventually, but in my opinion this mask will look good. I'm debating whether to make this suit a partial suit or a half suit... Or a full suit (probably less likely to happen) I'm thinking a half suit would be cute. C:

Posted 12 years agoI'm not entirely sure what people generally type in these journals but... I'm guessing almost anything. Lol! I'm a FA noob, so bear with me here... If you can. :3
So... I'm building my second mask now, and unfortunately, the mask may not be exact to the rough sketch/blue prints, as I'd hoped. I'm not talking about exact to the extreme but more like being very close to my sketches. Trying very hard to make it look like the picture, but it's being a bit stubborn. I'm guessing that would probably be expected.
Still learning how to create masks, it's my second time making one of these beautiful pieces. I love making them, (even though im currently constructing my second one) it truly comes from the depths of my heart and I have a serious passion for fursona masks. :3 I'm more inspired by other people's work on masks and fursuits than any superstar, actress, or famous singer or plain ol' dancer!
Down fall to building these awesome masks... GETTING BURNED WITH A HOT GLUE GUN! O_O yeah... It's my fault and probably stupid for burning myself, because I wasn't paying enough attention. But, I'm okay. Everything's okay now. ^^' lol! Nothing to worry about.
