[ An Open Note. ]
Posted 5 years agoHeya folks. S'been more than a year since I've posted a journal on here, and I deeply regret that fact. I don't know how I let myself get here. Well, I do know exactly how, but I can't excuse myself for it either.
So let's talk about it.
Over the past year, I've started working at a particularly well-known retail store, 'unno if it matters whether I say the name or not, but I'm gonna play it safe on that one. I started in late February, 2019. It was my first, real, true job experience. I never really had that experience before, despite 'working' previously. As such, I've been working 40 hours a week (and then some), every week, for practically the past year. At first as a cashier (also customer service desk), then was promoted as soon as I could, up to eCommerce. It... took all of the energy I had out of me to keep this job, and to do it well. It's still taking nearly everything I have.
As a result, when I took on all of the commissions I could, and resolved to have them all done - that's when I was hired, and that's where my terrible conduct begun. I lost all will to draw for months. The inspiration seeped out of me. And after so long, I forgot much of what I had learned, which only made me not want to draw even more. Everything I drew turned up terribad compared to how much I had before. In the latter half of this year, I've been living alone for the first time as well. In the end I'll still be staying with someone, but they've been away in another country since August. I've been depressed, lazy, and procrastinating nonstop. Every time I bring myself up to do something, I shoot myself back down. And I let everyone down, including myself. It really hurts.
This brings me to today.
Over the past few months, I've been drawing and creating characters of mine in order to get my skill back to a proficient enough level to draw commissions at a level that I feel comfortable giving them. And in honesty, it's also because this is what gives me inspiration to persevere with art. Despite still working full-time, I've managed to get 6 hours of sleep a night and draw at least every day. Now I can create things that I feel are half-decent. I want to make this work, because I really do enjoy those moments I'm able to create. Now I just need to figure out how to make it a job, y'know? That's the dream.
So! Here's the deal. I'm going to post ALL of the art I've drawn up to this point. I know your commissions are there, I can't forget even if I really tried. I still remember the raffle prize that I need to finish. But these are what got me back up and running. For those of you who are still waiting for you commissions, please, feel free to contact me through a note or Discord. I won't bite, and I understand the hole I'm in. I'm tired of throwing my artistic career down the drain. I want to do it right. This is... sort of a vent, sort of me opening up to everyone about what's going on. An open conversation. So please, bear with me. And thank you, if you read all this hot garbage. I appreciate your time. <3

[ UPDATE! x2 (I'm back!) ]
Posted 6 years agoHey, you know everything I said before? Well, it all died in a fire. Like, a chemical fire that doesn't wanna go out.
So, I had my trip to Indiana to see my family - but I was so busy the whole time, (even did some other work while I was there) that I didn't manage to get very much done concerning art. This was due to multiple factors:
A: My laptop being a cheap piece of crap, and Photoshop constantly crashing. And when it didn't crash, it was still incredibly laggy and fairly unresponsive. I tried switching back to SAI, but I'd gotten too used to PS by that point and my art felt clunky and off. Plus, the screen on it is absolutely horrible when it comes to color accuracy, so things would look crazy over saturated on a better screen if I wasn't careful.
B: Heading out a lot to see old friends and family - which is kind of why I went there, and I'd feel horrible if I didn't go when I had the opportunities. I haven't seen many of them in 3 or more years (That's a long time for me).
C: I ended up catching two strokes of sickness - the first being a fever/head cold, and the second a few days after that was through being a far worse fever, stuffy nose, real sore throat, the nasty stuff for 2 or 3 days straight. I was taking meds, but like that, I couldn't bear to look at a screen or have decent attention to detail. Not to mention, mild seasonal allergies the whole time. I get sick quite often in Indiana, for some reason - part of why I moved back to Florida. I was born there, and it showwws.
ALL THAT BEING SAID. Now I'm back in Florida. It's art time. The day I got back, my sinuses immediately cleared up, my skin stopped drying out like a fish in death valley, and I have my lovely computer and monitor setup again. By next Monday, I hope to have WIP's out to everyone who needs one, if not outright completing your commission. I'm sorry for the wait. It's been too long. I'd like to offer refunds, but what was left went to food so I could eat before I went to Indiana. Thank all of you for your patience, truly. ❤ I want to try and keep things up to date more, keep all of you who support me informed.
OH. Also, happy Christmas, and a merry New Year. ❤
[ UPDATE! ]
Posted 7 years agoHeya guys! It's been a while since I've made a journal on things are going! So here's an update!
I'll be honest. I've been quite behind on commissions, and I'm sorry about that. But I have been getting through chunks of the queue, and got some of the bigger stuff out of the way. There's a lot of art I just haven't uploaded, so prepare to see that sooner or later!
On that note, as of tomorrow, I'll be headed to Indiana for a week or two for Christmas! I haven't been able to see that side of my family for a long time, so I'm really excited.
Why does that matter? Well, unfortunately, this means my internet is going to be absolute shite for about two weeks. I may not be able to be on as much, or work on comms as much. So I'm sorry if things are delayed even further. I haven't forgotten though! Not by a long shot. ; 3; Thank all of you whom have decided to commission me, you all mean the world to me. <3

Posted 7 years agoSo! The keen among ye may have noticed I've actually been moving slowly with commissions. That being said, most things are resolved, so I'm back on track! I just wanted to throw you guys some information, so that no one's dead in the water. Thank all of you for watching and supporting me, I truly appreciate it so, SO, unbelievably much. ♡

[ 50 Watchers Raffle! (Woah, really?) ]
Posted 7 years ago SURPRISE! 50 watchers really is not a lot in the grand scheme of things, but I do really appreciate those who have done so. To show that - I'm hosting a raffle! I'm technically at 49, but hey, close enough.
The PRIIIZE will be a refined sketch, flat colored and shaded, of anything you would like. I may provide additional prizes if enough people participate!
Rules For Entering The Raffle
1. Provide the character reference you'd like drawn in the comment.
2. Say something about robots/synthetics! It shows you've read this. :3
3. You have to be watching me! I'll roll again if the prize winner is not.
ADDITIONALLY, there are two ways to get more slots in the raffle for better chances!
1. Boost this journal! (I would really appreciate it, so that I may grow and continue to provide arts for everyone!) Drop the link of your journal, and I'll gladly add a some slots to your entry. :3
2. Bring a friend along, and have them say your furaffinity username in the comment. A slot will be added for that as well! ♥ (This only applies once, however.)
I will be giving out raffle numbers in the form of a comment when the raffle has finished, and then use a number generator to determine the winner. Raffle ends 10/8/18 !
Thank you all for your support, and for participating! ♥
[ OPENNN! ]

Posted 7 years ago Well, actually all of my commissions listed with the prices are open! But if anyone is looking for some cute sketches, I'd be glad to take the work!
Right now I'm visiting Canada, and my laptop's screen has horrible color, so it would be a perfect time for doing sketches! Turn around time would be pretty quick.
Check out my prices and T.O.S. here! Feel free to either note me or leave a comment on this journal with the commission you'd like. Thank you! u wu

[ T.O.S. ]
Posted 7 years ago* Snowfall Studios T.O.S.*
- References -
All references must be clear and concise. If any features of a character are not clearly conveyed within the reference, notify me so that I may adjust the art piece appropriately before I begin.
I work best with references that are digital and have no shading - if your reference doesn't meet this, I may not be able to accurately represent the character's design within the piece. Keep this in mind.
I may turn down references that solely consist of: Written descriptions, traditional images, 3D images, and heavily shaded images.
Providing additional pictures to depict clothing, poses, and the like are perfectly fine if it helps convey your idea.
- Time & Conditions -
I will do my best to complete any given work at maximum within one month of being commissioned - potentially longer if unforeseen circumstances occur, or if the piece is a complicated project.
Usually, I will try to have a commission done within a week or less, if the queue is not too long - but the above is worst case scenario.
I reserve the right to refuse any commission, or cancel any commission at anytime for any reason I see fit.
Do not rush me - asking constantly for updates (In any form) on your commission is discouraged. I assure, that I will finish a commission as soon as I'm able. This way, I will give you the best artistic quality within my abilities.
- Payment -
All payment will be requested via Paypal, in USD, upfront.
I will refund a commission if I cannot complete it for any reason.
If a commission is cancelled, I will only refund an amount equivalent to how much of the piece I have not already completed.
Edits that were not caused by an error on my part, may require an additional fee.
A charge back without legitimate cause will result in a blacklist for commissioning anything from me, and everything that entails.
- Completion -
Upon completion of your commission, it will be sent to you via a note and/or shout.
You may upload any of the artwork you've commissioned from me. I equally may upload any of the art commissioned from me.
All of my artwork that a commissioner has uploaded must give credit to the original artist.
Do not remove the watermark and/or signature from my work.
Do not edit the piece without my express permission. I usually allow it, depending on what the edits are. Ask!
Do not resell or make profit from my artwork in any way unless expressly given permission.
That's it! If you have any questions regarding anything listed here, please feel free to note me about it!
