We are Back!

here,Hello there Scribblers! We are back in action and are aiming to be bigger and better than before. One of the newest upgrades is our shiny awesome main site.

Check it out. All of the latest and greatest updates will be hitting those pages first. We already have an event planned for mid October on our calendar, and there are already a few more you'll be receiving info on in the coming weeks. One of which is an online event open to anybody who can move a pencil. We also have goodies stashed away for people. So keep up to date.
There are new spots you can find us too. The main ones that stay up to date with the site are Tumblr and Twitter. We also have a new instagram to share the art and fun for future events.
If you have any questions or input please share we would love to hear from ya.
Arising from the dead

We're no longer bumming it. We've got nice and settled.
That means we can finally start thinking about this group again and getting stuff together so we can go back on outings. Not to mention some bigger better plans waiting in the wings.

Tonight is the opening reception for the "Ladies of Animation" Art show. 6pm to 10pm.
If you can't make it to the reception, the show will run from this evening until March 2nd.
Gives you plenty of time to see the beautiful work of these talented women.

Ladies of Animation-Art Show

GRWorks is going to be having an art show!
Already awesome, I know.
The Exhibit: "Ladies of Animation"
Showing the personal works of artists who happen to be women in the animation industry. Coming from studios including: Disney, DreamWorks, and Pixar.
The show begins with an opening reception February 9th from 6-10pm.
The show will run 2/9 through to 3/2
I plan on going to the opening reception it should be great :)
This show is free to the public.
All the work in the gallery will be for sale.
They are also planning a series of Valentine's Day Cards from each Artist that will be available for Sale.

114 W 4th St. LA, CA
The artist's being featured are: Victoria Ying, Sho Murase, Mingjue Helen Chen, Nicole Mitchell, Clio Chiang, Griselda Sastrawinata, Anna Chambers, Lorelay Bove, Claire Keane, Fawn Veerasunthorn, Brittney Lee, Kendelle Hoyer and Lizza Treiman.

The women’s contributions span many disciplines within the world of animation from the design of feature characters to story and visual development in films such as Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph, Frankenweenie and Paperman. The reach of their work extends beyond the studios into the arenas of toy design, graphic novels and advertising.
