Posted 16 years agoA while back I was debating on whether or not to make a new FA account, and I think I have successfully solved that dilemma.
Instead of keeping my sketches and WIP's in the Scraps section, I'll be moving finished art to a separate account and keeping this one for unfinished things, sketches, requests and the like.
So what do you guys think? I've made the account already, but I want feedback before all you guys end up having to haul off to another account after you've gotten so accustomed to this one. c: Aren't I just a peach?

I guess I'd consider myself an old-skool furry. You know, the kind that draws anthro art of a characterized animal depiction of themselves. Mascot orgies sicken me.

Lol. It's all I can do to even bring up the subject of furry with her. She's not into debating subjects.
*How long have you been in the community?
Probably since early 2004-2005. That was when my first durrsona came into existence. I'll have to draw her later.
*How did you find furry?
Through DevianTART. I saw a section for "anthro" and was like, "HMM LETS SEE WOT DIS IZ."
*What's your reason for furry (what interested you to get into the community)?
I met a few other people who had "fursonas" and decided I'd look into the fandom a little more and see what kind of nasty secrets I could find. So far, my search has been fruitful.
*What's Furry to you?
Drawing anthro animals, having a fur/durrsona. Just generally being yourself.
*If someone found out you're a furry and asked you about it how would you respond?
I'd just shrug and say, "I could be considered one, but only because of my durrsona."
*What are your favorite aspects of our community?
So many people in the fandom are insanely creative, really friendly and accepting. Others are just fun to harass.
*Do you use any furry terms? (i.e. yiff, paws, murr?)

The people who are up-front and outspoken about their sexual fantasies, people who use furry as a means of having sex, zoophiles, pedophiles, the like. It's just ridiculous.

I wouldn't blame them at all. In fact, I've been known to bash the hell out of the fandom, but I think someone should at least try and learn about the good aspects of it.
*How strongly do you feel about anyone bashing you yourself for your interest based on the media's aspect of what furry is?

*We all know furries have a lot of sexual aspects in this fandom, What's your opinion on it?
It's a form of expression of course, and hey, if you want to dress like an animal or bark like a dog while getting porked up the ass, by all means knock yourself out; just keep me and the public eye out of your bedroom.

They vary with my interests. At the moment I have a wakaleo/fangaroo hybrid, a hyena/badger/fox mix, a Chinese Crested and a pink thing.
*Do you have any fetishes that pertain to the fandom?
That's got to be a rhetorical question. After all, this is a fandom site that allows you to submit art under different fetishes in the first place, so if I said "yes" I'd be a freak like the rest of you, but if I said "no" I'd be a liar. ;3 See? I've figured your secret.
*If you could magically morph into your fursona would you?
Maybe, but only Cloud because he's so damn cool. I mean seriously, freakishly tall and super fast? Hell to the yes!
*Do you believe you have a spirit animal?
To a certain extent. I used to be more spiritual, and at that point I had totem animals, two of which were the otter and wolf. Now I'm not so sure.
*What other fanbases/groups are you a part of?
Oh, the usual. A few game/sci-fi/anime fandoms. I'm not a rabid fan of anything though.
*Anthro/Feral, Therian or Kemonomimi (Not a furry, just a human with animal ears and a tail)?
Kemonomimi are fucking irritating as hell. I seriously cannot stand them anymore and have killed off any characters I had that were one of these. I only changed one of them to look human because he's my buddy, though. The others I know less about.
*Are you a fursuiter? If yes, how many do you own? If No, do you ever plan on being a suiter?
It would be interesting to try, I guess. Although I'd want a quadsuit because those just kick so much furry butt. It'd have to be my wolf character.

None of them are really "furries" but they all have durrsonas.
*How many pets do you own, if any?
I don't see how this has anything to do with being a furry, but I have nine cats and a dog.

*Are you confident enough in yourself to say that you're a fur, no matter what the media says?
I wouldn't necessarily say I'm a fur. After all, I think having a suit officially makes someone a furry.

*Do you attend any cons? If no, would you attend any cons? If yes, which cons have you been to?
I wouldn't mind going. I'd like to see other people's costumes.
*Do you go to local meetups(bowling, public outings...etc)?
Furry-style? No.

That would depend very strongly on whether or not my friends were there.

Nope. I don't go out of my way to meet people I know online.

FA, mostly. I'm still dabbling in Furocity.

Subeta, DevianTART, a few webcomics, Google, Wikipedia and a couple of other Wikis depending on the subject I'm searching.

I feel like this so often. Every day is exactly the same here. I feel trapped, like I'm in a cage. I feel like I can do so much more, be so much more. Here, it's like all the passing smiles are put on so that people can just pretend they're happy, just to avoid the question of "Why are you so sad?"
I feel like I'm lost, going nowhere fast. Like I'm in this deep hole I'll never get out of, as if the stagnant, gross muck of Denton will stick to me no matter where I go.
Sometimes I see it in the people I know, the ones I love. Their eyes saying it, screaming it. "This is all wrong". None of us are native to this town. None of us like it here.
There's a Starbucks on every block, construction on every street, the heavy pounding of equipment rattling through the smoggy, cesspool air.
I see it in so many people... There's just something about this town, this civilization as a whole, that just isn't right. It's taken so much from us, and in return we've gained nothing but destruction and suffering.
I don't want to feel like this anymore. Like I'm stuck in a tar pit, sinking further and further down until I reach a point where I'll be trapped here forever, left behind by everyone else as they've moved on to bigger and much better things.

Right now I have that kind of art blockage that's induced by mood. I'm in a magically foul mood and need something to lighten myself up a little and maybe inspire me to actually pick up my pen.
Also, for some reason the actual pen tool it had for the first two days is gone. Just fucking gone. Now it's incredibly hard to actually draw something because my tablet pen is no longer pressure sensitive. sklfdhskdfh sdfjh sdf i hate my life right now. I'm gonna go get some coffee and cuss.

But anyway, I asked ma if we had any kool-aid or anything, and she says probably and looks in a cabinet that we haven't opened in like... a year. Sure enough, we find a shit load of kool-aid.
I took a lemonade one and dumped the entire package into a 32oz glass with three spoonfuls of sugar.
Ow... Needs moar shuugs to lessen the sour. And ouch.

It's a sloth, kids. Just compare it to any picture of a healthy sloth, and you'll see the ever so striking resemblance. Clearly something was wrong with it to make it hairless, but as it was different the first human response was to attack.

First of all- LOL.
Second of all- People, grow up. Why should it be on one person to define an entire sexuality/hobby/wtfever? Define it for YOURSELF. Fucking idiots.
ANYWAY. This brings up an interesting question within myself. All of my friends have a fursona, but none of them (to my knowledge) would actually go to the length of DRESSING in a fursuit. For us, furry art and suchlike is just something fun we like to do. Yanno, drawing anthro animals. That's pretty much it. Drawing them and enjoying art. I don't honestly get how it's taken so seriously as "a lifestyle choice" like being an atheist or choosing to be gay.* Honestly, it doesn't seem to me like it's this big huge deal and everyone who's involved with it seems to treat it like teachings from mama.
Fff, I don't really care, it's just curiosity for the most part. So, yeah, that's my word on the "OMGCOW" subject.
*I realize that being homosexual is not always a selection, but rather something that comes naturally. I'm just using it as an example.
