Dang can't make it to CF this year with Beastcub coming. another plan had to be moved so i can't get out of it.

well Last year I did go to CF Fri sat. participated in the "your first time dealing with fur suits" panel. Was able to spend a lot of time just wondering around. saw some of the auction. still need to find out what it actually means do people use it to make friends or what? then i left after a while even though like everyone was either in suit or watching. so no one was at the Fursuit maker and wearer meet up. auction ran late so once again i did not stay for dance.
Saturday made sure to read the posted times for Parade since we have to go by the times to plan out day. so had lunch going by when parade was supposed to be cause need time to suit up. Then the drama only to find out Parade happened early. So once again no parade proof i was at convention. even though i was there. So I just gave up and went home cause I live close enough and was not going to spend time in suit cause i had a Bday party to go to the next day.

so now to time line of last year , friends wedding, mini vacation, sick, bathroom flood and home repair, family visit, Holidays, serious illness, all of this working. repairing home, Spring.
now we come up on this summer been following some of Stan winston school lessons, Found a Maker space to build stuff at, cosplay.

STill doing my best to get to CF and at least plan cosplay. However a Month ago A wonderful yet challenging detour happened. My Best friend got engaged and is getting Married at the end of summer due to certain factors like either get married now or wait a year and a half. So I need to plan some events :D So Looks like next spring and summer I'll get stuff done since fall and winter are never free.

Wow been a while. Got super busy with family stuff. Then I picked up a 3rd part time job taking up all of my time. Next came Christmas and more family. Then I got sick for all of Jan and my computer logic board fried. I have had either no time or been sick so I'm way behind on my Tron suit. I did get to see the HOw To Train Your Dragon Live Show. DUde Giant Robots are awesome!!!! Thankfully my family Califur bday has been moved to Sun so Party!!!!!

So summer was good busy with vacation, moving then Mist of Pandaria. Family illnesses and the like. Stuff was still packed way to much to get any cosplay worked on. Missed local comic con again... have seen friends. Now I really need to get to work on my cosplay for Tron /Califur and other conventions. Saw some new options for making my Ewok. P.S. Stan Winston studios School info so far looks awesome. I have yet to start the classes but i really want to. Its so awesome that they also sell "class supplies"
Maybe I'll find hope on the RPF forums for community groups.

Sorry for the delay. Was getting ready to move and my old building caught fire. Everyone was safe so was my place. Then moved as well as vacation. Califur was good. Only could go on Saturday was in the parade again this year :) Had alot of extra things happening on Fri and sunday so was unable to stay long. Did not get to cos-play on my vacation due to rushing to leave after fire. Hope my internet won't be gone too long after move.

Looking forward to making it to califur this year.. Sad i Missed last year. Hope to not cause too much total confusion with me in Red XIII Nanaki (beetlecats suit) and her (beetlercat) attending. already had minor confusion the last few years and events I have been to. moving this summer so that took up my time for working on my suits and other cosplay.
I will have my own space to sew on instead of the kitchen table now though. That will be awesome since I have been working on a Tron suit for someone very close to me and It will work perfect for next years theme.
Lets just hope I can make it and not have to spend the whole weekend on a milestone bday for family. I hope to be there Fri, and a until a little while after Parade Sat. Hope to make it Sunday afternoon but i doubt it. It would be a total pain to finally have space and then not be able to attend any big cosplay events.
Maybe I'll be able to hang out and get to know people this year. I'll be in my mutant hedgehog most of the time. at least during the day otherwise the dance and parade I'll be in Full suit.

Got two extra work projects going on. I'll be going to Ren fair sometme. As well as working on Cosplay and making it to Califur. Had a great time at wonder con.

Seems like once again Spring major major family health issues. Might be able to make it to Califur if everyone stays in well enough health. I never get a break for time to work on suits. Tons of home repairs too. Going to Wondercon :)

How to balance being allowed or able to have my few friends over in the living room/only open space with table or building my suits and various cosplay. I must default to wanting friends over vs attending very few costuming events fur or comic cons.

Lets see Insane changes at work. Way too many things going on. Extra work event for Jan on top of the usual May extra project. Muppet's return Awesome!!!! All that to say keeping me from building suits and all. Plus i'll have minor medical issue to deal with in Spring to take up time. Mist of Pandaria to also look forward to

Will miss All PS till Jan. MIssed Antheria with Kage being there. Have way to much going on IRL Halloween party, other events, Bdays, Family, helping friend move, life work and cleanings/organizing. LIfe is good though can complain but really busy so nothing to report.

Missed Aug PS meet up cause of family events so many Bdays and such. also had a dumb cough for weeks so I could no suit up even if I wanted too. cant make Sept PS either its my best friends Bday that weekend and they work so much and focus on there one break in from life hobby that it takes time to get together with them. Then the usual extreamly busy and packed untill the begging of the year. Still want to get lots of costuming done.

Lets see did not make it to PS after CF because long lost friends wanted to hang out ( much more important)
missed PS in July because I was sick :( So busy with work, being sick, catching up on work after being sick, finishing my cosplay for Comic con. Being with family and friends for the 4th. Sadly wont be taking Nanaki to comic con because my cold left me with a terrible cough and coughing in suit is just not fun. Wont be able to make PS next month because family Bday stuff as usual. on another note Beetlecats Panda is totally amazing no i know that making a Pandaren can be done and look great. Kung Fu Panda also inspired me to make a Pandaren.
So Hasbro and all those companys are having tons of panels at SDCC about transformers but not a peep about MLP. :(

Well then after dealing with family emergency, health issues, family gatherings and working overtime to make up for missed work. I will Sadly be unable to make it to Califur after knowing for a long time I had that weekend free and clear no plan for Grandmas Bday. Now I have to work full time that weekend and there are something more important in life like keeping my job then having fun at the only fur convention I ever attend.

I will try and make it to PS this month to make up for it. Also hope no one minds if i join in on the unofficial Dland meet up after Califur even though I dont know anyone who goes or puts in on. Sorry if it seems like i'm stalking gatherings. REally a downer since Beetle and Far will be there and I have her old suit that she knows I go to Califur with. Also I think I heard Beefjerky was going to be there and she's a cool suit maker as well. Also I've lost out on the 2 awesome ref sheet artist that i follow. they have either left the site or stop taking orders because of greedy or cheap people.

I will miss getting a chance to try again this year and May be This year actually interact with people. I will be at Comic con Im bringing Red even though He wont be at the con. He's just for the lucky chance that Califur Diego happens .

Good News I now that the attachments for grandmas sewing machine I can now ZigZag and double needle through thick fabric as well. Dude the Armors in Thor are Amazing. Hope to have Airbender (kyoshi and Azula Kyoshi shit done for comic con. Had to put off Tron suit for a while due to costs and some un forseen costs.

Wireless broke for 3 weeks then emergency took up my time. Costume has been delayed for a while. Going to Califur for all the time. Trying to make a Tron suit. Can't really think of anything else to post. Other than I doubt I will be able to make it to PS next month.

Will not be able to attend PS gatherings for a while more. Taking up some good hobbies though Going to take a circuits class to help me get into some robotics classes (ie. StanWinstons new school). I have loved Robots since I was a little kid. These will hopefully help me with my masks/heads and building Tron and other awesome suits. Still waiting to see if I will be at comic con this year if not I should still be able to go to Caifur and maybe I'll plan in Dragon Con. It would be a big sacrifice to go to Anthro con but you never know.

last month did not make it to comic stuff. However did make it to my first PS as Red. It was interesting cool that people were talking to me in a way that they were wanting me to return and get to know me :D Sadly I wont be able to make it to anymore till next year. Have too many things going on. If i do return to PS I will be going as my hedge from now on and only rarely as red... too much work cleaning the suit all the time. Enjoyed doing Avatar the last airbender cosplay as well. Did go out suiting on Halloween in the area. in the darkness people saw my feathers somehow thought i was a Bull or a horse. my friends were cracking up over that. Just normal busyness of life till the end of the year. Then I'll be working on Hedge and Tron suits, or more Avatar Cosplay.

Had a good but busy summer. looking forward to 3 possible suiting times through Oct 31. 1) random halloween party, 2) local comic book convention might suit as Red, 3)Awesomeness of Halloween. Working alot, annoying things breaking like shoes, and extra things to deal with repairing so cant work on suits.
looking to the furture the Savannah (spelling) cat might be an interesting pet to have one day. As long as everyone is ok with that. I would have to wait till I could possibly live in a House but I can live with out pets till then. Would still like to get into a group of costumers and make some friends. Hopefully a group that is willing to share and help. Dont really know what to talk about other than,I would not be going to Anthera (spelling) as Red at least so people dont think I'm Beetlecat. It would be neat to see I think (dont know about "reputation" other then youtube) but Uncle Kage would be there.

First off last month I read "some ones" post that it seems people don't read and or care about posts. This slightly made me sad but I will keep posting. Cause you never know there may be those rare people who would show interest at some point.

So I did not make it out to Anime expo (after the fact I totally regret it) knowing that some suiters who seem interesting where there. As well as the Weather was perfectly and not warm unlike Califur. I did not go cause I would have had to take the bus and do not have any spotters or people to help me.

I will be unable to make it to San Diego comic con this year. Have a big family event that I cant get out of at all. Will miss all the Tron Awesomeness as well as Califur Diego. that I did not get to last year cause it was at night and as ALWAYS i would have had to go alone.

Got a pic of my Failed lab experiment hedgehog posted :) being able to see it from someone elses perspective let me see all the improvements I can make. Needs much more color the body is too much one color, spines need to be visible from all angles. Also I need smaller ears I'm not a mouse. But the thumbnail that is posted shows some of the new color ideas. i will also have to figure out how to make him look Post apoco for next years theme I think.

After seeing the same Swat KAtz guy 2 yrs in a row totally makes me want to make a full on suit again.

Had a great time... sadly Did not get ready in enough time to make it in the parade with Red XIII this year. However I did go around Saturday as my Hedgehog. Learned lots of things for when I "really" make the suit. It was just a test suit to see how the suit would fit and hold up at a convention.(more on that later).
People made cool comments on the hedgehog attached to my badge. Got a few pic's taken in hedge but realize people saw it was unfinished and did not want a pic. Nanaki on the other had was very popular this year even got a video taken even though its harder for me to "act" in Red XIII then it is in Hedgehog.
Saw some of FNL that was cool The Sgt. Pepper Grey and Green (Badger?) was a cool suit. too bad the dances started soooo late. Granted yes I can stay up late 2am playing video games but I get tired after 10pm Does not help that I dont drink coffee and It does not work right. WAs wanting to meet people.
Sunday I went around as Red XIII, game room "guard' wanted me to DDR in suit that would have been awesome if I could move in the feet :)

First order of news... cant get the new loging verification to work on my Mac booooooo. So I wont be on as much untill i get site working right

Yes Califur I will be there at least saturday if not also dropping in Sunday midday.

I'm shy but I do like to talk to people, if they dont mind "guiding it with questions or topics" If i am in Red please dont try to talk to me too much outside of lounge Why is this? I cant hear very well unless you speak really loud. Plus i dont know how well you can hear me so tell me if Im mumbling.
I totally want to commission tons of hedge art. yes I like to dance/act cant do much acting in Red yet (head still give me trouble staying so I can see. Milton i guess thats his name at the moment. will totally be rolling about and tossing things. Sorry no buying me drinks, 1) im not rooming at the con and 2)I hate carbonation.

If you figure out its me outside of suit sure come talk to me :D NO IM NOT 14 I just happen to be VERY short 5FT and never grew (Im WAy older then you think "late 20's" If I look angery (its a lie) my face just does that when im thinking plus I naturally stand with my arms crossed.

Cant wait to actually meet people this year

I have official work done on my suit so far. Life has had its delays. Got a dark brown, camel/tan, Greens. The head/eyes will cause the most problem. Wondering if I should also sacrifice time to adjust Red XIII padding or spend it all on my mutant lab experiment of a hedgehog. Oh I also need to research a name that does not have any bad connotations don't want give any wrong ideas. Thinking about Milton, Miltin (spelling)

Looks like I will only have a partial of my hedgehog finished for June. Going to be testing my spine vest and head over a cheap "fun Fur" body (left over from old project). This will be to see how the vest moves and fits before deciding if the hedge spines will be separate or attached to the real body. Oddly when thinking of this idea I had no references to go to. However someone recently posted a Once upon a Forest pic and I noticed that my Hedgehog idea looks ALot like Russell. The final version of the character will look nothing like him its just the vest that is similar.
He is only half realistic but not fully toony. Green, brown, black spines, realistic eyes, Static jaw. Official body will not be a solid color and depending on how well everything goes might add some markings.
Red XIII will also be going to Califur with feet fitting better and redone padding. Hedgehog still unnamed will also be there but will not be in parade cause not completed

Finally back!!! Looks like I can make it to AX and Califur this year. Red XIII will be at AX hopefully as well as Califur. A hedgehog partial will hopefully be done as well for June. Trying to also go to a June Furmeet where hopfully Califur people will be at.
Upon seeing another persons post. I will try to be at the Wizard Comic Con in April :D

Well now it looks like I will be unable to attend Comic con due to other events conflicting. I may also have to miss Califur. This is good in that I have more time to work on characters and not have to rush the other one that hopefully gets made. However that is two suiting occasions I have to miss out on. I really want to still make it to Cailfur cause this years theme is Comic/superheroes double Fave.

In the far future this might help in me making it to FC, Rainfurest and Dragon Con. Ugg I only get 2 weeks of vacation a year and that leaves only one non holiday week. It looks like 2011 is already Awesomely reserved for mega vacation with friends. Therefore AC will never be an option.

In other thoughts I'm thinking of my still un-names/gendered hedgehog possibly being Steampunk (yeah yeah I know its the trend now) but that does not mean I am copying them trying to fit in. I have always loved that era. Plus guys that dress like that and have long hair ARE HOT!!!! I have finally figured out the coloring I want. Took forever to find and pin down images proving the colors I wanted exist. As in NO not all Hedges are Grey and brown/black and some do have minor lop ears.
