"TL;DR of it: In-laws are considering selling the house we're living in, they just sold the one that we gave them $10k for to a house flipper, and now I'm in panic-brain mode and can't seem to stop thinking of everything I possibly need to do for this or that or the other thing. Looking into places to live, realizing that my 7-person family is going to struggle to find anywhere to rent given that most apartments have a 2-body-per-bedroom here, and they only offer up to 3 bedrooms. So I'm looking for a job.

In the meantime, and in the manic panic of all of this, I'm trying to work through my queue as best as I possibly can so I can open up further comms to start saving aside more and more money for a deposit or a down payment on a house. I'll find out next week I think whether they'll let us rent or buy the house that we're staying in. We don't pay rent, we pay all the bills except land taxes (not for lack of trying, mind...), so I don't know what is happening to us or for us. If we're homeless, my daughter and I are the only people with a place to go, and I'm scared for that to happen, I need these lovely people I live with and share my heart with. I'm just... frazzled.

Any help anyone can give, be it monetary or advice, it's greatly appreciated.

This is what I posted a few days ago on my commissions account.

Since then, I've managed to get a job (I start on the 12th) and still don't know the end of how things will go. I'm saving up every bit of commission money I get in order to try and make headway on a Deposit for a rental or a down payment on a house (which I have *zero fucking clue* about buying houses...) but I just... I need help. We're a family of 7. Housing authority says our family is too big for their units. Low-income apartment says we're 1 person too many for the occupancy level... So we need a house. But that's... ugh.

I've gone down from 315lbs to 299lbs in less than a week (yay, weight loss! Boo, cause of it!). I can hardly eat, sleep is elusive, and I'm... I don't know. I can't stop going Panic brain no matter what I do.

Hoping tomorrow will yield good results with the in-laws, but I'm still needing a lot of financial help while I try to fix my credit score and my husband's and get in a better place in life. So... please, anything you can do... I feel alone and scared and hopeless. Spread this around, I don't know... Just... anything. Please.

I just got off the phone with Paypal's customer service because I had to justify where my money was coming from. It's a hassle, because had I NOT fiddled with my account before I left for my trip, I may have been without the funds FOR said trip.

Accidents happen. This is why I usually use invoices. If I have you pay through the paypal.me, PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK that you're sending it as goods/services. There's a little check box under the person's name to say whether it's for purchases or for friends/family.

I think I know which payment(s) was/were at fault for this, and it had previously been discussed with them waaay before this hit. Next thing I know, I'll probably be hit for no shipping info. :/ Cuz I have no idea how to make it so the commissioner's address ISN'T required that way. >.<

Two different girls, same name. One wields a magic tablet pen that can draw anything into reality, the other one hunts demons and monsters.

Thirsty for blood, and not one bit hesitant to spill it, Hayze is the Spirit Sprite of Blood-lust. His wings seep blood nearly constantly, though whether of their own accord, or from countless victims, one can never be sure. Crazy and sadistic, it would be wise to steer clear of this creature.


✪Syko Teddi
Cute undead girl by day, menacingly cute teddy bear by night. Lover of gore and blood and violence, and LOVES to terrorize her victims.


✪Starr Struck
A cutie mark for being in the porn industry? Whodathunkit? Starr Struck may be a sex-hungry lady, but that doesn't mean she doesn't play it safe. Wanna sex her up? Protection and testing, or you don't lay a finger, or other appendage, on that sweet-spot.


✪Catryna
Catryna seems like the kind of girl you'd take home to Momma, but don't let those doe-eyes fool you. She's got a wild side a country-mile wide. She's down for just about anything, anywhere, and if she wants to say something, don't hold your breath for a mental filter. Catryna spills it all, whether she thinks your mom's hair is too gray (to her face!) or you best mate has a bigger dick than you.


✪Diana
Diana is impish in nature, often seen playing pranks on others. She often competes with Cream to see who can be the most creative, but she's not above using cheap and dirty tactics to win. She doesn't get along with many people, but those who manage to get a glimpse of her true self are often the ones she's most loyal to. Her tailmouth, who she named Veil, is more like another person than an extension of her own body, as it often seems to "talk" back when Diana is up to no good. One more than one occasion, Veil has eaten the star that floats above Diana's head in an attempt to get her to do as it wants.


✪Cream Aliquam
Mischievous and sneaky, Cream Aliquam could give Loki a run for his money. Though her pranks and tricks may seem cruel and cold, Cream would never intentionally let harm come to anyone on the receiving end of her fun. Loyal to a fault and has nerves of steel. Cream is best friends with Ne'Raina and Asgardna, and often likes to poke fun at Iria for her height.


✪Asgardna
Although she tries to act big and tough, Asgardna (Azzy) is really a big softy. Even when doesn't want to, she wears her heart on her sleeve, leading to many hurt feelings and hits to her self-esteem. This little Demoness loves sweets and soft things, but you didn't hear that from me! What seems like a frisky tentacle is actually Azzy's tail, and she often "wears" it so she doesn't have to find clothes. Occasionally she is apt to losing a limb, but that's okay, she floats around anyway.


✪Ne'Raina
Ne'Raina (Nee-Ray-nuh) can switch genders at will, though prefers female pronouns when in gender-neutral form. Munmu particularly loves to be around her because of the aroma coming off of her body...She smells like fresh grapes. Ne'Raina doesn't speak much, but when she does, you better cover your ears. Though her body is tiny, her voice is big and could be compared to a loudspeaker. She loves to hang around with Asgardna and Cream.


✪Munmu Paige
Tiny but tough, Munmu paige is an Earth Aeone. His favorite place to be is in a garden or in a forest, and particularly loves to make nature grow.


✪Laradel
Innocent, but not entirely naive, Laradel is never far from her favorite people: Iria and Munmu. If she's not tagging along to the office with Iria, she's seen closely following Munmu while he tends to his garden retreat.


✪Marmalade
Marmalade (Mar-muh-laid) loves to dress in cute tops and jeans, try new hairstyles, buy shoes and make-up. But there's just one thing, Marmy has a 'thing'! Constantly being mistaken for a girl because he loves to look good, Marmalade has heard it all. Pansexual, he's willing to be a bottom to make you feel more masculine, and he won't tell your guy friends that he's a dude. Marmy is just that easy-going.


✪Miss Trix
Miss Trix doesn't like it when you misbehave. Miss Trix taught you better than that.


✪Ruby
Often mistaken for a large stuffy, Ruby is a very tiny cow. Her size isn't testament to her strength though, as she can easily move aside creatures 4x her size. Standing at a mere 2'4" and weighing only 45lbs, this little powerhouse proves that size doesn't matter.


✪Gaia
With no set gender, Gaia can be depicted as male or female. Much like Munmu, Gaia has an affinity to earth magicks. Soft spoken, gentle, and laid back.


✪Agape
The youngest of three sisters, Agape loves to play instruments. Musically inclined since she was a child, there's almost no instrument she can't play.


✪Aella
The middle of 3 sisters, Aella is all about the arts. She loves to paint, she loves to craft. If you can imagine it, she can make it in almost any medium you desired. Aella often chastises Agape for slacking off when she could be doing something productive, but has a big spot in her heart for the girl often letting Agape get away with a lot of things.


✪Arya
The eldest of three sisters, Arya is everything that her younger sisters aspire to be. Talented in many things, Arya connects most with magic and music. Though she is the eldest sister, Arya is more of a mother to Aella and Agape, teaching them and helping them grow.


✪Melory
Melory is a soft-spoken student, top of her class. When she's not in her college classes, she's seen in the library studying an assortment of books. She excels in math and literature, though she struggles with the arts.


✪Pumpkin
You know that one girl that everybody tries to avoid? The one who's always so spunky and cheerful and bouncy that it takes a truly patient soul to befriend that girl? That's Pumpkin. She loves to party and have fun, so if what you need requires her to be responsible and stick to a schedule, you'd be better off finding someone else. She's terrible with time management and gets bored super easily, and while most may say it could be ADHD, it's really just her not wanting to grow up and be an adult.


✪Midge
This tiny little panda is curvy in all the right ways. Standing at 3'7", she's the perfect cuddle-buddy. She doesn't mind being called "cute" and "precious" but don't mention her size. She's the perfect height to take out your kneecaps.


✪Tatters
Keeping to herself, Tatters doesn't speak outside of electronic communications. Because of this, not much is known about her personality offline, though her presence online is just as vague. All anyone knows is that she's gone for long periods of time from both her home and her computer. What is this little feline up to?


✪Luluu
Junyper's twin sister and a succubus, she's naughty and nice all in one. When she's on her own, she's her own brand of kinky, but paired with her brother she's a force to be reckoned with.


✪Maggie
Despite her amazing healing abilities, Maggie is very clumsy. Constantly falling and tripping, it's a wonder how she keeps her team alive at all.


✪Embri
Munmu's big sister, Embri is a fire Aeone. Her emotions have an effect on fire and heat, so she often tries to keep her emotions in check. Besides the emotional tie to the element, she can control it by will, though it takes a lot of focus.


✪Izzy
A Peacock Spider Taur. She's a seamstress and seems to have no interest in sexual relationships. Very friendly and open, Izzy is always there for her friends.


✪Azure Galaxy
Fierce and sarcastic, Azure takes no shit from anyone. A fighter by nature, he would gladly put someone in their place.


✪Kaleb Onyx
A tough little dragon, Kaleb has a short-person complex. He's not super small, easily standing taller than Midge or Ruby, but he is only 4'11" in height. Too proud to ask his taller friends and family for help, he is often found teetering on the tops of ladders and counters to reach high places.


✪Maunty
Sweet and eager to please, Maunty likes to strut his stuff while following close behind whoever he is paired with. Both a professional cuddler and escort, no matter what you're wanting, Maunty is willing to pull through just for you!


✪Rynko
Barely legal, Rynko likes to push the limits in everything he does. Super sweet and caring, he always tells his friends to do as he says, and not as he does...Though he DOES make some things look super fun.


✪Myre
To put it simply, Myre is as gay as the day is long. He is always bottom, never top, and gladly takes on the stereotypical female roles in everything he does. He'll gladly proclaim he's a male, but will never say he's a man.


✪Sypher
Strong, sturdy, and proud, Sypher is bisexual and a switch. He loves his partners equally and will take just as much as he dishes out, be it bedroom or workplace.


✪Trinity
Gay and dominant, Trinity often looks more feminine than he does masculine. Despite the girly clothes and fashion sense, Trinity takes no shit from his partners, gladly putting them in their place. He's not above making them do something they might be uncomfortable with, but his promises are guaranteed, "You might not like it at the beginning, but by the end, you'll be begging for more."


✪Junyper
This incubus is a mixture of sweet and sour. His favorite colors are also from his favorite holiday, and he wears them proudly. His sister, Luluu, is a succubus. Together, the like to find their prey, often acting like a raunchy couple than the siblings they actually are. After all, a family that preys together, stays together!


✪Tobi
Tobias, Tobi for short, is a tiny little demon. At merely 2 feet tall, he acts simply as a personal assistant to Soul, Junyper, and Luluu. It's not certain what powers he has, though he is perfectly content being errand boy.


✪Spyre
A little grem cat, in love with all things dark and morbid. He doesn't seem to speak, though he is quite sentient and behaves like humans and anthros do.

I. AM. A. HU. MAN. HUUUUMMAAAAAAAAN. I am not a machine that can spit art out at you the second you ask for it.

Actually, that goes for all artists! We're human, we have lives, we have feelings, and yes this is our job, but dammit, sometimes we can't sit down and draw for you 24/7! We try so hard to give you what you want in a timely manner, but sometimes it falls short!

Just this passed Monday (YESTERDAY!) my husband just started a new job. I have two roommates who work too. Guess what that means? Not including errands like groceries and laundry at the laundromat, I am in my car 5-6 times A DAY, now! Husband at 8:30/9:30 in the morning, Mazzy between 2 pm and 5 pm on any given day, and Wednesday night through Monday morning, Kimil goes to work at 10 to get off at 7 in the morning. That's not to include the pick up times of my husband and Mazzy, which range from 5 pm to 1 am! I'm not making excuses, here. I work on my commissions in between, while struggling to find time to sleep, and struggling to make more time for my daughter.

I AM working on your art! I AM getting things done! And being asked every few hours to every day is NOT going to make me work any faster!

When you commissioned me, you agreed to my ToS. Whether you read it or not is on you.

.......I need a life......*headdesks*

I've noticed this a bit here recently, with people buying on my YCH quick buys and auctions. The typical rule is that you must pay me within 24 hours of the time you've claimed it and I've sent you an invoice. I send a note when the invoice is sent. I check periodically of you've read the note. If I see that you have, I give you time before checking on the payment. But when your note has been read for more than four or so hours, and I have not received my payment, I will assume you do not intend to pay and will put the ych back up, and cancel the invoice.

Artists have these rules because this is our business. Many of us need the money to pay on bills or buy food for us and our families. If you do not pay on time and within minutes agreed to, you make it difficult for us to make ends meet. Yes, we could get jobs elsewhere. However, some of us have problems that keep us from being able to work outside of our homes, or have to do art for a living because those we live with have schedules that aren't flexible. For me, it's the chronic pain I suffer in my knees, hips, and back, as well as being the only licensed driver in my home with a roommate working in another city. Art is my only means of work.

If you don't pay us on time, or you constantly 'have something come up', you can cost us the chance to make the money we need. Art is a luxury item. If you don't have the money to spend on it, but bid or claim slots anyway, maybe you should rethink your priorities. If you're not going to be able to pay within the time previously set and agreed on, and consistently do so, you will be banned from all future auctions/YCHs. You won't be barred from regular commissions unless you constantly ask for a piece and then never return messages. Non payment of regular commissions will receive three warnings. After that, you will be barred from those as well. Those barred from regular commissions will be barred from auctions, YCHs, and adoptable as well.

Thanks to the help of the three people here, I had a little bit of a kick-start to a new home. Had to rely heavily on my father and my in-laws as well as a loan to pull it off, but we got a place to live.

The place we live in now is owned by my father- and mother-in-law, but we will be renting-to-own this home. The money you helped us raise will be going to paying for getting utilities turned on in our name when they move out, and the rest will go towards rent and furnishing up the house bit-by-bit.

I haven't been online in a while, not since Friday night.


Seems like such a negligible thing to do when my work revolves around the internet, but the time came.

On Saturday morning at 4:30 am, Grandma passed away. I haven't been "here" mentally, and haven't been able to really put how I feel into words. It's painful to think about, and often times, I cry.

But the important thing is I got to say goodbye and though she couldn't hear me, I told her how loved she made me feel, and that we'd be okay, that we'd remember her in the best way possible. I apologized to her for not coming to see her more in the last two months of her life, and that it wasn't because I didn't love her. In fact, because I loved her, I couldn't be there to see her. My sorrow and pain would have done nothing to ease hers..Maybe I was selfish for not wanting to go to see her as she withered away into nothingness, but I don't really regret it.

I told her that Jasmine would know all the great things she did, and that she would always have the memories we pass down to her, so that she'll know Grandma too.

I can't say how soon I'll heal, and I am so very sorry for all these delays lately. I hope that you all can understand and continue being patient with me.

This is just me venting something I came across, I won't name names, because in the end, it's what they decide to do and I have no right to control it. No right to really judge either, but sometimes it's hard.

So...Here goes.

WHY is it when artists who aren't well known (like me!) draw out a design and it looks super neat and we want to sell it, anything more than...Oh...$20? $30? Is too expensive? And I mean, pretty unique! Not a wolf with regular wolf colors and maybe a pin stripe down the leg, but I mean, vibrant colors, or pretty markings, or hybrid characters with easy enough color pallets. $30 is okay, I guess. Beggars can't be choosers!

But when I see a design by well-known artists, that aren't anything spectacular (remember the wolf with a pin stripe in regular wolf colors above?) they don't get slack for charging $70, $80, $100 or more? Why are they the exception? Just the name on the art? Seriously?


Like I said at the beginning, not really my place to judge, and they charge what they think their work is worth, it just grinds my gears when I'm sitting on two very pretty little characters of a relatively unique species that haven't been sold. :/ I'm not even talking about the Poppadils, either, I'm talking the Whinrie species created by SnowySteed22 that he let me create and sell for a profit. The Poppadils, eh. Whatever. Don't really care, they were kinda half-assed and priced as such.

BAH. Makes me feel like my work isn't worth top-dollar like some people.





Difference in quality has something to do with it, but seriously....=_= I'm not a terrible artist.


...Don't mind me, just bitching with everything going on and having a crisis of some sort in my head.

Since the update a few days ago (Click here for a recap) things have gotten worse for Grandma overnight.

On Easter, I found out it wasn't going to be a matter of months till Grandma passes away. It could, in fact, be this very week.

She had a stroke last night while everyone is asleep, and she can't eat or drink anything. Her kidneys have shut down. She specifically wrote in her will she wanted no life-saving measures or resuscitation when she dies, and that makes it hard for everyone involved, because naturally we want to do all we can to make sure she lives.

I can't focus anymore. I want to cry and cry and cry, and wish I could stop feeling for one damn minute. Every time my phone rings, I'm terrified that it'll be the news I don't want to hear. These nerves and sadness, I feel like they're making me a bad mother. I get so short tempered with Monkey lately, and all she's doing is being a baby. I apologize, even though she doesn't understand me, because I can't believe myself. Why would I yell at my kid to "Shut up" and "Get off of me" when she needs just as much love and reassurance as I do. I catch myself yelling at her, and I wish I could take it back. But she still tries to do what I yelled at her for, so I pick her up and apologize and try and love her, and try and calm down.

I just want this nightmare to be over so the healing can start, so I can go back to being normal again, but hell if I know when that will be...

Starts out kinda bad, but okay, cuz you're surviving, then slowly turns up and you get on your feet again slowly, and then BAM, outta left field comes a curve ball of "Ah, fuck"s and then you just can't seem to see the light?

I'm having one of those years, so far.

Still struggling a bit, but income tax returns are coming in
Pretty decent month, until I fractured my drawing wrist
Cue inactivity for a month and a half
Bills are kept up a bit better due to funds from ITR
General blah feeling like something bad is gonna happen

March
Funds dwindle but lasted over a month, so that's good
Wrist starts to get a bit better slowly and I can draw for about an hour at a time at this point
Boopa gets a job, things look a lot better
Baby gets sick, again, likely from allergies

And we were doing so good! Until a bit before Saint Patrick's Day. Come to find out, Boopa's grandma (by marriage, my grandma) has only until June, give or take a bit of time. Suffering for over a year from lung cancer that migrated and added on brain cancer, by the time even she found out, she was already at stage 4, for both. They put her through chemo and therapies, and even brain surgery to remove most of the tumors in her head. And for a while, we thought it was going to be in remission, because the tumors were getting smaller, and she was regaining hearing. But we also had that feeling that there was something wrong, that the doctors couldn't detect. Cue more seizures and bouts of forgetfulness. Bit by bit, week by week, she got worse. This is over the course of a year.. Now, at this very moment, she can't recognize who anyone is a good amount of the time, and she forgets where she is or where she's going. She's forced to be taken care of like a baby, Depends and all. Wheelchair or recliner bound most of the day, sleeping the rest. She has violent outbursts when she doesn't recognize you, and is incoherent at best when she does.

To make matters worse, her children (Boopa's aunts and uncles and mother) seem to be in a perpetual battle over who has what rights to what parts of her estate WHILE SHE'S STILL ALIVE. They waste so much more energy on FIGHTING than caring for the woman who won't be here much longer. They are so much more interested in what they will GET from her than they are in what they LOSE when she goes.

I lost both of my blood-related grandmothers when I was young. Grandma B' died when I was 6 and Grandma K' (my most favorite person in the world until my husband and daughter) died when I was 10. And now I'm going to lose a woman who was an inspiration to me in the four years I've lived here in Texas. Her attitude, her artistic abilities, her unending love...She is a beautiful woman, and it hurts so much to be around her now, BECAUSE I know who she used to be, how she was, and seeing this person who has to be spoon fed and changed like a child, it breaks my heart over and over again. I want to be there for her in the end, and I want a chance to say goodbye, but I don't think my heart can handle it. She was such a strong and independent woman, and now she can't recognize anyone a good amount of the time.

So...Since then, it's been hard for me to focus. When I can, I just hate everything I draw. I hate how it comes out, or the process. I "clear-all" the images so many times before I just force myself to settle on a pose or design that, in hindsight, WORKS, for the sake of completing an image. And my turnabout time is still crap. It was getting better, and then since the wrist fracture, it kinda dwindled... And the cherry on the top of the cake that is this abysmal year, half the people I thought were my friends, turned out to be a bunch of self-serving jack-offs. Sadly, I can't even count on a lot of my internet friends to not be the same way. For those who are curious about who it is online, don't worry about it. You'll know if you're one of the ones I can't count on. If you're not sure, you likely aren't on wrong side of me. ....Haha, listen to me, sounding all bad-ass or some shit "Wrong side of me" like what the hell am I gonna do? Rage block and troll your page? Probably the worst I could do online, jeez.

I wanted to ask a huge favor of anyone who is watching me.

No, it's not money, or advertising, no.

It's keeping an eye out on any site you go to that allows posting of artwork, be it SoFurry, Tumblr, Twitter, e621, F-List, dA, InkBunny...IMVU. Keep an eye out for the people you watch, their artwork.

I'm not saying scour every page, but if you come across something that looks familiar to you, don't hesitate to look in to it. If you have seen the artist on fA, but aren't sure if they have another site, message them on fA! Ask! Chances are, it really IS them posting up on that site, but there is also the chance that it's not them.

I would like your help with this, too. If you see my work posted anywhere, that is not under the names "SoulWesson" (May or may not have _ in the name) "Solux" or "Solxian" please be so kind as to notify me with links. Don't attack the person, they may have been a commissioner, and even if they did steal it from the character owner and myself, it is best left to the artist themselves.

I have accounts on SF, dA, F-List, fA, tumblr, and twitter, and I can't remember if I have one to e621, so if you have any questions about the art posted, go ahead and ask me! I'll appreciate it, even if the person in question is, well, me. And that goes for other artists! Even if it's US you aren't sure about, on a site with a username you're not familiar with, we appreciate it. It means you're looking out for us, and you want to make sure credit is given where credit is due!

So, scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours. I keep an eye out for that stuff, too.

EDIT: ALSO! Be aware of people using slightly modified usernames. Like Waitress had a user on dA go by "HensaBoo" and a lot of us thought it was her. Oft times, the person will be a dead-giveaway in the way they type. For example, if suddenly the person's grammar and spelling turn in to, "OMG, i hav 2 go 2 teh stor n get fud for my kitty", that's an obvious (and poor example of) a copy-cat. In the case of Hensa and HensaBoo, it was the fact that Boo was holding a sale at MUCH lower prices than the real Hensa, but Hensa wasn't offering a sale of any type at the time. Small details can be BIG giveaways!
