BW
Posted 13 years agoDrawing when being moody does help, but also doe writing too. Don't really feel like drawing anyway, at least right now. Been submitting job apps here and there, playing video games to pass the time, trying to find my muse again. Things are going so slow and I miss Boston a bit, only because Jacksonville sucks. Maybe I'll plan to go somewhere this weekend, might need it.
I'll try uploading more of my stuff, I do draw, it's just I'm too lazy to move my toys from on top of my scanner.
Also which is better in this link: http://www.threeaonline.com/blog/?p=2355

character studies
Posted 14 years agoBeen drawing more nudes lately (obviously with couple of new naked stuff), need to practice up on my male and female forms more. Gotta start bare then I can throw some clothing on them! Or should I? ;3
things are
Posted 14 years agochange can be good, and I think it's something I need. not really a change to something new but a change back to something old remixed I suppose, lately been getting stressed over little things here and there. gotta try be more laid back as before, so lets return to last year again but this time hopefully I don't go crazy again. gotta focus on art, love, and fun; speaking of art....I need to find a white eraser to clean up some recent stuff.
next year
Posted 14 years agoPAX East is open for registration, gotta plan to go either next month or most likely January. The rate is $65 for a three day pass, do want to go around Boston though. So some sketchy plans in the works at least.
how odd
Posted 14 years agomost awkward sunday morning, was enjoying my coffee and doing my usual computer stuff with my window open and I hear little girls screaming, dogs barking and a lady screaming and it stops after a minute. I take another sip of my coffee and shrug and go about my day. How odd
winter cold
Posted 14 years agoWinter is on the way, hands and feet are all sorts of cold without the winter cold. I need to get a fitting jacket next friday when sales happen. Been reading World War Robot, might dive into Popbot sometime today. Boredom is a bitch sometimes, might just get started on some coding or play more batman today.
it's too cold
Posted 14 years agoit's only 60 degrees but it feels incredibly cold already. I need a new jacket and warmer dress. at least I'm busting out my heavy blanket now
almost the weekend
Posted 14 years ago2days till the weekend, holidays around the bend, good times ahead; can we, will we pull through? fuck yeah we will
Freedom and Dissatisfaction
Posted 14 years agoHolidays are almost here. Everything should be a whole lot more cheery but I'm nothing like that this morning. I kind of want to scream, kind of want to cry, mostly just want to escape really. General moodiness I guess. Just feeling really dissatisfied with my job, nothing really worth noting or taking pride in since it's all customer service and sales. I get yelled at on a daily basis for mistakes other people make and misinformation. Then after helping them calm down and correcting errors I have to sell them new stuff, which I don't care for or even want to do. Honestly I'm tired of sales, I just want to do something more fun, but work is work I guess.
I want to go to design school and paint/draw for a living, or even do something like marketing. I graduated back in August, but only with an Associate in Arts with a major in communications. I think I'd love to work in a bakery or something. I just know I want a career that caters to my creative interests. I'm tired of sales, it's boring and it's a constant uphill battle, nothing worth stressing over or even caring about to me. Maybe I'm worrying too much, but it feels like I'm life is on pause right now.
I need something to make it feel like I'm doing something with my life, I want something that'll make me feel free, in the meantime I'll just keep drawing I guess. I'll get my freedom from the art I do like I always have.

should stop being
Posted 14 years agolazy, or just upload the rest of the stuff I've been doing. working on random sketching during work downtime, dunno; just been feeling a bit lazy of late with scanning and uploading stuff. I'll get on it quick if someone prods and pokes me into doing it. lazy cat is lazy as always
phones
Posted 14 years agoSo my job consists of customer support on phones, just got out of training and onto the phones with real people. Most of the time they're mad, but somehow I manage to get them to calm down and get them squared away with their stuff. It's honestly kind of fun to help people and sell some stuff along the way.
Also for some reason my hair has been getting lighter in color to a more reddish brown, maybe the dye finally settling in or something. Now to decide if I should just let it grow or get a cut already.
Some interesting art projects in the works as well, going to be collaborating with someone to get some stuff out there with a loose story in the works. Should be pretty interesting.
Holidays feel like they're on their way already, it's getting somewhat cooler at night here and I'm really anticipating it. Reminds me of the turbulent times of last year around this time, but it's better now. Keep moving forward right?
Cheers

22 years
Posted 14 years agoAs of three days ago I've turned 22 years old. Still feel the same for the most part. This year had it's ups and downs, it's pretty much been an emo roller coaster for me. Lately though, I've been picking back up and starting some side projects, doing more artwork and being pretty busy. Still need to actually get supplies and get it started but it's pretty much going to happen sometime this year. Thanks though for everyone who follows this blue cat who is pretty inactive (that should change).
So in the meantime while I get my thoughts into actual things you can see, I'm gonna give you guys a face to put to who is behind Soph. Well...many faces, here's a timeline of myself from High School to just a few days ago.

Changing Gears
Posted 14 years agoBeen quite busy lately, mostly work and doing some side projects. First full time job and all, funds are coming in quite nicely and am eagerly awaiting to start some art projects I've been thinking about for a few months. To give a sample, some projects will include working on traditional mediums like paint or ink on paper/canvas/vinyl and some sculpting. Thanks to the new job I can finally get these ideas off the ground and if I have my way you might see some surprises soon.

recommend me some art programs to use
Posted 14 years agoSo anyone have any recommendations on art/coloring programs you use or have experience with? I know photoshop is commonplace, but I'm also open to any other suggestions. Been looking to possibly getting illustrator or maybe just a bunch of adobe products sometime in the near future.
questions questions
Posted 14 years agoTo take commissions or not...
not really
Posted 14 years agoI'm not terribly good at this
STARWORSHIPUUUUR
Posted 14 years agoself-sabotage or something
Posted 14 years agoI like to keep a bright outlook on things somewhat, try to keep hope alive, but I can't just shake this feeling of despair that keeps creeping up on me. Maybe if I did things a bit earlier, if I cared a bit more back then I would of been able to stop myself. Can't help but think these things, regret sinking in and other things is kind of a bad mix for me to be experiencing.
Just sometimes, I wish I could go back and redo things a bit differently you know. Maybe then I wouldn't find myself wanting to punch the ground until I can't feel my hands out of frustration.
I've been told by people close to me, I can do it, I'm on my way, but...why does it feel like no matter what I do I can't undo what I've done to myself for the past 21 years of my life, damnit.

Not dead
Posted 14 years agoJust updating on some stuff that's been going on with me. Not sure where to start, but I'll start somewhere.
School has been keeping be busy with studying and projects. Spring break of course is coming up in a week and I should be getting some stuff done and spending time with friends and loved ones.
I've also been up to a bit of exercising and dieting. Honestly that's kind of driving me crazy, especially the whole exercising thing. I'm not really that much of a patient person and I usually want to see results as soon as I do something, so I'm not used to having to keep at doing something and not see results till way down the line. It's kind of wrecking my motivation to keep on going. Though there is some good news regarding my new healthy "habits." I've gone down about 5 sizes since the beginning of this year, so I guess yay on that. I'm still the same weight...which is the thing that is really bothering me. Bothering me quite a lot >>
Anyways putting that aside, I'm still working on art on the side. It'll just take me a bit longer, personal stuff and all getting in the way. So I apologize for the wait on requests.
Hope everyone else is doing well. Feels like I've been getting quite detached lately, so I might drop a message or something to some people I haven't talked to in a while. I don't know really though...anxiety issues and stuff. So yeah >>....I'm not dead.

Posted 14 years agoFew people are man/woman enough to answer any and all questions thrown at them. Are you? Prove it. Copy and paste this as a new journal entry and answer every question you get.
The rules are simple:
- You must answer each question no matter what it is and you must do so honestly.
- There are no questions that can not be asked as long as they are within reason. They can be personal, about oc's, and anything in between.

A Cat's 2010
Posted 14 years agoWhat did you do in 2010 that you’d never done before?
Went drinking with friends and was taken to a strip club.
Did you keep your New Year’s resolutions, and will you make more for next year?:
I guess so, I weighted a lot more in the beginning of 2010. Now at the beginning of 2011 I've definately lost some of that, looking to lose more though :/
Did anyone close to you give birth?:
No
Did anyone close to you die?:
No
What countries did you visit?:
Didn't get to leave the state this year. :|
What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?:
Money, I've been stupid with my money and life last year. I've been working on making things a lot easier for me to handle finances and make myself a lot more productive.
What dates from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?:
I'm not good with dates really, though a couple are meaningful to me. One would be the beginning of August and another would be most recent, being the middle of November and all of December.
What was your biggest achievement of the year?:
Losing weight?
What was your biggest failure?:
Making a lot of money in the beginning of the year and wasting it all.
Did you suffer illness or injury?:
Most of October I wasn't able to move my left foot/ankle without being in intense pain, also having it throb all the time didn't help either. I had to call out of work for two weeks and it didn't suit well with the higher ups and they pretty much took away most of my hours and told me I sucked at my job in a nice way. Way to go health for screwing up something nice I had :/
What was the best thing you bought/was bought for you?:
Some gifts on steam I bought for people, made me feel happy. Also received my first steam gifts this year which picked me up.
Whose behaviour merited celebration?:
Wat
Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?:
My friend Izzy's. He has gotten a lot of self-confidence since he's lost all that weight (he went from 240 to 180 I think), but he's also become more of a dick. He's become quite the frat boy type from nice bro who has your back.
Where did most of your money go?:
Video games :P
What did you get really, really, really excited about?:
Nothing really
What songs will always remind you of 2010?:
Compared to this time last year, are you:
i) …happier or sadder?:
Happier
ii) thinner or fatter?:
Thinner
iii) richer or poorer?:
Poorer

Art, most of the art I did this year was all done in the span of a few days just a little over a week ago. I need to finish up a request still >>
What do you wish you’d done less of?:
Money spending
How will you be spending Christmas?:
Spent it in my room working on stuff.
Did you fall in love in 2010?:
....*coughs*
How many one night stands?:
None
What were your favourite TV programs?:
Adventure Time, Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory, and Regular Show
Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?:
Hate is such a strong word.
What was the best book you read?:
Didn't finish reading anything this year. I really should :/
What was your greatest musical discovery?:
The Pass
What was your favourite films of this year?:
Toy Story 3, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Tron Legacy
What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?:
I went over to a friend's house despite being in terrible pain and hung out.
What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?:
More money?
How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?:
Lots of denim pants and regular shirts.
What kept you sane?:
My friends
Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?:
...Jude Law? I don't know :P
Who did you miss?:
Rather miss my friend Timmy, but he's busy being a good Father. Still am getting used to him being a dad now >>
Who was the best new person you met?:
I'm going to say....
fenrisookami
Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010:
What'll come from hating yourself and putting yourself down? Nothing. So stop it and dust yourself off and move on. Keep going and believing in yourself.
