Bought an external LCD for my laptop last night, and immediately discovered that my current art sucks. Something that looks good on a craptastic, six year old laptop display looks like hell on a new, crisp LCD.

I have to step things up.

Still working on things, although it's going slow now that business is picking up for the year.

Projects:

Rework Skylina Griffon model/textures. Now with new beak.

Apply 'anthromare' style ideas to the Krystal model. Should result in a curvier, sexier, more customizable figure.

Crazy things going on lately in my life. Was in the hospital a bit, but I'm fine now. Working on fixing my laptop, re-installing a few things here and there.

To any of you who work with DAZ... I re-installed DAZ but now my UberEnvironment lights/shaders are gone. What do? Any ideas?

So, I think I've got the whole quality/filesize thing down. I think. Nobody offered up any advice, just criticism.

Need some advice about image compression vs quality. I've switched to using png files, and I'm not going anywhere near an image with MS Paint anymore. There are options in gimp for saving the png, like gamma and compression ratio and stuff. Whats the best ratio of size/quality to use?

Back from fireworks sales. Had a good time, got to dance with some folks, piss off some drunks, and sell a shit ton of fireworks.

Getting back to working on projects, but things will be slower than before since the carnival season for me is starting up again on the 20th of this month. I'll still make stuff, just will take longer.

Going to go off selling fireworks tomorrow, won't be back til the second or third of January. I'll still have my droid with me though, so all should be good.

Today's FiM episode was more than what I was expecting, that's for sure. Daring Do is best Indiana Jones.
Well, she doesn't fight zombies or Nazis or even zombie Nazis, but she's cuter. Take that, Harrison Ford.

Also, today was the release of Ponies:The Anthology III. Been waiting on this one for a while. It was hilarious.
Even if you're not a huge fan of the show, it's worth watching.

Yeah, I'm going to talk about ponies. I'm going to make stuff with ponies in it, as well as non-pony stuff.
I do enjoy the show and the fandom, but I promise I wont go trying to push it on anyone.

Despite my intentions to get rolling again almost a year ago, I remained stagnant. I worked on almost nothing, ignoring everyone as well. I can't tell you all how sorry I am about that. But It's just personal problems, something I hope is in the past now. Got a decent enough laptop, a droid for tethering internet, everything I need to work on the road. I'm sorry to say that I don't plan to do much work in 3D. Maybe some morphing, not sure. I do plan to work on writing though. Already posted two quickies, and I plan to open a FimFiction account to post a fanfic I've been tossing around in my mind.

Hello everyone. Sparky here. Iv'e been terrible to all of you. All of my old friends, I just brushed everyone off and went in my little corner. I owe people pics, I owe people stories, I've kinda just abandoned everyone and everything.
I'm sorry. My life was pretty bad for a while, but I'm over it for the most part. I'm back. Back to writing, back to my little 3D image projects. And I plan to stay this time.

I mean' I never actually watched a single episode of the show, but I enjoy reading the fan fiction, have read all the wikis, and am thinking of writing a crossover fanfic myself.
