Can't get DAZ studio working in linux, even using Wine. Tried blender but it cant import the furrette files. Any ideas? Any of you other 3D artists know of a good 3D program that will run in linux and be able to utilize pz2 and cr2 files? Need some help, I want to get back into 3D work.

Good news and bad news folks! Good news is that I'm back for a while! That's right, I'll be doing some art and stories n stuff again.

Bad news... I'm trying to work on a Linux box... So to all you out there who know anything at all about linux, I could use some help, heh. Can't get DAZ working, and can't find any 3D software that will work..

Suggestions?

Just a message to anyone who may read this...

My laptop is a Great Quality 2800+ series. The cables connecting the motherboard to the LCD are shot beyond repair.

If anyone has, or knows someone who has, this model machine and they don't use it anymore, or scrapped it for parts, please see if you have these cables.

If you have them, and are willing to sell them to me, please note me here on FA.

On second thought, maybe I'm not as back as I thought I was...
Laptop problems arise yet again, this time in the form of a rapidly flickering screen which goes completely black after a few seconds.

A tech friend of mine told me the culprit was most likely a dying FL Inverter board, which is part of the LCD thingy.

If that definetely is the case, I have to get a new board, the cheapest I've found for my machine is about forty bucks. I'm getting some second opinions though, and crossing my fingers that it's something simple like an unseated cable.

I think I'll still be able to do 3D work.. theres a monitor at the house I'm going to try and run externally on the laptop, I hope it works.

Gotta go, It's Wisconsin here, and that means shovelling snow, lots and lots of snow.

Yeah, I've been offline for a while. Still am, kinda. Taking my laptop to the local library every once in a while. But I'm still working on projects in my spare time, so look for some new stuff from me in the near future.

Well, here I am at MFF. It certainly is more than I ever expected. So many furs in one place, it's very overwhelming.

I guess I'm having fun. Some of the programs and panels have been pretty cool. I just wish I knew people better.

I don't really have anyone to hang out with here. I've met a few furs that I know online, and sadly, they don't seem to like the human me very much.

Hopefully I'll find some folks to hang with, otherwise I'm just roaming the con between volunteer work shifts.

Its really really simple..

Meh. For some reason I keep running into problems. They sold the hotel and I had to leave town for lack of jobs. At the moment, I'm traveling with a carnival in the Tenessee/Kentucky/Georgia area, and will be until at least November.

So don't expect much in my galery, if anything at all. But rest assured that when I do get back, there will be a literal flood of posts.

Side note: If anyone is in those areas, and sees a show by the name of 'Family Attractions Midways', stop in and visit! I'm running the 'ring a duck' game.

For quite the long time, I've been searching for a program to make animations with. And been stymied at every turn. Just yesterday, I discovered that Photohop Imageready can do EXACTLY what I need to do, and it's been SITTING ON MY HD THIS WHOLE TIME XD

Er, anyhow, working on new stuff a lot when I can, and when I'm not playing FF7.. um.. yeah...
(don't worry, when I beat Sephiroth I'll focus back on pics XD)
