Weekend art drop
Posted 8 years agoGot a decently free weekend I think so gonna drop some art I got saved up to post and I might be open for a few trades/commissions, let me know if you're interested and we'll see.
In need of a roommate/housing solutions....again.
Posted 8 years agoUnder the incredible stress of having no home, and in an area where getting a job is all but impossible, and it giving me a terrible mindset and influence...and also since
Rossmallo suggested it...
Is there anybody out there, United States-wise, close to Arkansas or thereabouts, who wouldn't mind helping out with home and space? I don't have much, but I can pay my own way/help out with things until I can land a job/find steady income and pay for part of rent and etc. things.
I've lived with a few furs in the past (Ranger, Roco, Raytlin), who can vouch for me being a decent fellow
Really need some solutions soon, I'm in a very dangerous place.
(also if anyone suggests unemployment benefits, assisted living, or other government programs; I've tried them all already. I don't qualify for anything, or am in such a low priority of the queue since I'm an otherwise healthy middleaged Caucasian male and not disabled in any way)

2017 Commissions Procedures
Posted 9 years agoI don't see myself doing any art sales this year, so this will be the general year-round price guidelines and rules, and I will link to this journal when people ask about commissions.
PRICE GUIDELINES
Single Image - $10 each (may be willing to haggle down or discount for bulk buys)
Examples:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22372299/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22372162/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19024973/
*Up to two characters, third character and up add $5 each. Maximum of six people in view. In the case of vore images, bulges do not count as characters with the following rule exception.
*Incredibly complex characters or designs will add a fee relative to how much extra effort required to draw them, includes but not limited to; spots, stripes, multiple limbs, vore bulges in 'extreme' mass, multiple wings, tiny scales, patterns, etc. Each case is unique as each character is unique. Ask ahead of time and we can determine if any extras will be required, or if you don't mind cuts to quality to keep it in budget.
Comics - $6 to $10 per panel (cost depending on individual panel complexity)
Examples:
Unique Panels - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16373805/
Copy-Paste-Edit Style - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19211796/
*Price will be adjusted based on how much is going on in the comic, but the guideline is as above.
*Copy-paste-edit style comics will be $10 for the base image, each extra edit after may be $3-$7 based on how complex the edit is. For example, image #1 is $10, and you want 5 edits of growing belly size, at $3 each, so the final total would be $25 for 6 part sequence
RESERVING YOUR COMMISSION AND RULES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Send me a note first asking if I am currently available for a commission. I will reply promptly.
- If open, tell me your drawing/comic idea, what fetish you want, scenario, and characters involved. If the content is NSFW, please note my NSFW page. Also state if the image is a private image or if it is ok to post publicly.
- I am generally open to almost any drawing scenario but there are a few limits.
*Will not do babyfur or underage characters
*I will need permission to draw characters you do not own/owned by other people
- Once we have the ideas in place and I have agreed to everything, I will quote the payment, and give you my paypal. Art will begin once I have confirmed the payment has been sent.
- After the initial image lineart is done, I will send it via a private link for you to inspect. I will fix most errors, but I will not re-draw entire segments or begin from scratch. IE I missed a tattoo on a limb, will fix.
- If you OK the image, it will be colored up and fixed up as needed and finalized.
- Once the image is finalized, I will post to my FA or link to a time limited private link for you to download from.
- You are allowed to repost the art I make you, granted you credit me for it and link back to my gallery.
REFUND POLICY
Due to some salty situations in the past, I will make this as clear as possible.
There will be three scenarios in which I will give a full refund.
1) If I fail to draw your image in a timely manner. Art is expected to be done within 1-2 weeks of payment, up to 1 month for comics. If you buy in bulk, this timeline may be extended. If I have not provided any progress in a fair amount of time and you ask for a refund, I will do as such and give a final progress on the unfinished image as an apology, but that will be that.
2) If I am midway into the image and discover it is a 'bit off more than I could chew' scenario, I will ask you if you would like the refund or are willing to compromise.
3) Once the image is final, I will not refund. However, if I provide sketches or WIPs that you find the image to not be suitable, I may allow a refund, but in doing so, you both allow me free reign to edit and re-purpose the image.
The following refunds are examples of situations I won't allow anymore;
-'EMERGENCY' need to reclaim of funds. Please do not commission me or any artist for that matter if you can't afford to have things come up and need to pull back your cash.
-Unsatisfied at final image refunding. I won't work on the entire thing to the very end to have people say it's not OK and get a free art and their entire refund. It's a nasty scam if anything and I won't tolerate it. This is why I will send lineart WIPs.
-'Pay you later' deals. I will only start work after the art is paid in full. No partial payments, no 'IOU's, no 'I'm good for it's. No sending some money and requesting it back to cover for another expense with promise to re-pay me when things settle down. Once you send the money, it's in my hands, and the art will soon be in yours.
Those are only prime examples but give a clear indictation of the nonsense I won't deal with anymore. If you commission me, I fully expect to draw your image and earn your money, but I won't deal with people trying sketchy schemes.
That should cover most things, if you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Hopefully it all doesn't sound too stern, I'm just trying to avoid the nonsense that I keep bumping into with people who seem to be more into causing trouble rather than honestly want art.
I will also be trying to draw and post regularly as I used to, but most of my income comes from streetside begging as I don't have steady employment. If you like what I do but don't have any specific art requests in mind, feel free to tip me using the paypal link paypal.me/SpencerDragon and give me a little boost!~ <3 Even a dollar helps feed me for a day, ramen rice and discount breads are my main staples currently. It also assists me in my proof of earnings for assisted living forms, among other things. *shakes tip jar* Keep me posting~ <3

Art sale and commission closure, and happy holidays wishes
Posted 9 years agoJust officially closing the art sale. Any art still undone will be finished and posted (if not private), and probably will go back to the norm of posting cute voraphilic blue fluffdragon. Maybe open up for trades often again, but we'll see...as always, just ask, worst that can happen is I say no.
Also, I'm going to semi-close my commission status. If you really want some art from me, I'm going to go up to around $10 per image, and I'm going to filter the commissions I accept. I had another 'bad customer' deal with this new round, and another unhappy customer who I just could not please, so I'm feeling less comfortable taking commissions now.
The sale itself was mildly successful at least. I might be able to dig up a bit more scratch and get the tablet that was my goal, but going to hang onto it in case I need more food over the winter months to come. So thanks to everyone who did buy super-cheap art and did enjoy what they got!
Having said all that.
Hope you all have some great holidays coming up. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years, and all~

Regarding trades
Posted 9 years agoHad a couple of notes recently with people asking things so making a journal to clear things up.
First and foremost, art trading is a very touchy subject for me right now. I'm normally very open to trading art, but there have been many circumstances that have me in a bit of a sour mood over trading. Had a guy completely forgo my only-predator desires when they tried to initiate a trade and threw a 3 minute sketch my way without me even seeing what I would like to see from them, which of course lead to a bit of drama (thankfully contained, they were kind enough to dropbox the pic so it was kept minimal in views). Also had another trade more or less forced upon me, and I was...severely unsatisfied with what I got. Had examples and links to pics of pretty amazing quality they did, but ended up giving me a very dark, hard-as-f to see sketch that was hardly lineart at all. As a final point, I'm also very into my alternative vore at the moment (cockvore)
Having said all that, I am still, technically, open to trades. You are free to ask via notes at any time as usual, but here's the points I'd like to make.
1) Please don't ask more than once. If I say no, or don't respond, odds are if you ask again quickly a second/third/etc. time, it's rude and gonna have to block ya. It's fine to ask again after a period of time, like a month or two, but don't flood my inbox three times a day asking for a trade.
2) If I do agree to do an art trade with you, at the very least wait to see and hear what I'd like.
3) I may wait until I see proof that you're working on the trade pic before I start on my side of things. People have a tendancy to take art breaks/drop art projects, so I'm doing a zero risk side of things from now on.
I'm also, as always, open to commissions at $8 a pop (complexity may need a tad more) and tips are always appreciated since I don't do other things like patreon and the like, so if you like what I do but don't really want to buy commissions, tips help me buy groceries and food, which keeps me sane and happy <3 *shakes tip jar* https://www.paypal.me/SpencerDragon

Closing $5 IA soon
Posted 9 years agoUnless anyone would like to make reservations, or would like to buy a few soon, gonna go ahead and close up the $5 Keyword Iron Artist. I may still be available at normal commission prices, and the rare art trade, but it's been two weeks and only RossMallo has shown any interest in it.
He did buy a rather large chunk of them, and I'm very grateful he has, but I'm overall disappointed that I've had more negative comments and notes over the $5 IA ordeal and it's left me with a distasteful feeling.

Possible $5 Iron Artist thing/Accepting tips
Posted 9 years agoConsidering opening up for a $5 'Keyword' Iron Artist. If you would like a slot or two (or ten, or more), leave a comment below.
Keyword Iron Artist - You'll give me a single character ref or a generic pokemon/animal/etc, and one keyword, and I'll draw an image based on it. It'll be a quick, colored single image. No changes/fixes, what comes out is what you get, don't want to spend hours fixing an image. Also please consider using simple characters, if you have tattoos, limbs, wings and such for days I may dumb down the details a bit.
Finished images will be roughly this quality: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20864176/
Also at some people's suggestion, I'm gonna leave my paypal here for anyone who wishes to tip/donate to me out of kindness.
paypal.me/SpencerDragon
If buying a Keyword picture/series of pictures, please note me before sending money, so we can make sure everything is agreeable!

Unfortunate circumstances
Posted 9 years agoThings are not going well for me right now, my life is pretty much at one of the lowest points. Medical bills due to kidneystone and ER treatment, half broken leg, joblessness problems, you name it.
Activity is going to slow down considerably even moreso than it already is. Posts will only happen on weekends, if even then.
If anyone wants to commission or art trade, will only be available to do so on weekends. Preferably leaning toward commissions now, as money is a sensitive subject for me as things are.
Otherwise, if you notice a lack of seeing me via Skype or posting on FA, it's just my life situation being as shit as it is.

Ross art flood and tradestuff
Posted 9 years agoJust finished uploading a huge backlog of Ross art, both commissioned and traded for.
Also, just wanna say, right now I'm in a super frisky-mood type deal, so if you ask me for trades, it might be me wanting NSFW stuff. Clean art right now is commission only.
See my NSFW account if trade-interested~

Possible Iron Artist?
Posted 9 years agoSo hey, curious question. If I were to open up an Iron Artist type thing (open a whole lot of slots, maybe like 50 or more) and do $5 a picture, would anyone out there be interested in it at all? Possibly buying in bulk?
Depressfluff...
Posted 10 years agoSorry for the lack of posts...as of late, I've just been severely depressed, full of anxiety, and not even sure what to do anymore...
Going to try to post more again soon...

Official policy on commissions and art trades
Posted 10 years agoDecided it was finally about time to make this, since I've dropped PWYW and want to not confuse any potential customers or art traders.
Commissions:
- Single pictures are $8, minimum. All my pictures come colored by default, unless commissioner specifically request a black and white lineart.
- Comics and sequences are $8 per frame minimum, with the exception of 'copy paste edit' style, those get a 50% discount per followup frame. Ex. a 5 part sequence copy pasted and edited to have a growing vore belly would be $24 instead of $40. A 5 part sequence with 3 frames being copy-paste-edited would be $32. Example of copy paste edit style: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/14241289/
- I do focus on vore, but you may ask for any subject or fetish/kink, I'll likely do it unless it's a very uncomfortable one.
- Multiple characters that are outside of a vore-scenario are +$4 each for every person in the frame above 2. 3 characters (belly bulges in vore pics excluded) would be $12, 4 characters $16, so on and so forth.
- I will draw light backgrounds on request. Extremely detailed scenes will cost extra depending on complexity.
- I will draw safe for work (SFW) and also not safe for work (NSFW) material. The later I will post to my alternate account.
- Tips are appreciated for a job well done, but not necessary.
- No limit on how many you may buy at a time. I will tell if I have a huge queue and wait line in advance, but generally I try to get the art done ASAP.
- Will draw almost anything. Ask me if I would be willing to draw it, worst I can do is say no.
- I need permission from another character's user if you intend to commission them a gift. They will need to send me a note saying it is ok for me to draw them in whatever situation you commission them for, predator/prey/bondage/fattening/etc.
- Commissioner may request an image be kept as private. Though even private images must follow the above rules, including permissions to draw a player's character.
- I need payment in advance, I have already been a victim of 'pay later' schemes. If bulk buying, we can work out a payment schedule instead of all at once.
If you have further questions, simply ask me here or send me a note.
Art Trades:
- Generally always open for art trades as well, though I can be a little picky sometimes in who I will trade with these days.
- Simply ask me and if you want to include examples of the quality I can expect (IE you mainly do full detail images but want to do just a sketch for your half)
- I generally like to do singles in trade form, but can do larger projects if it's a fair tradeoff. If you would like a comic, expect me to ask you for a comic as well!
- Don't be afraid to ask me, again, worst I can do is say no, or a 'maybe later' if I happen to be busy at the time!
- I don't mind multiple art trades, especially if the first went very well, but I may ask for some time between each trade if I have other things in my queue.
- Just like my commissions, I will ask for permission for other people's fursonas being included, and images can be asked to be kept private and not posted.
Same as with the commissions, feel free to ask topics not covered here!

Just a quick reminder
Posted 10 years agoWhile I am still open to commissions, please remember that I have dropped PWYW, at least in terms of rock bottom offers. Any commissions I draw out are at least minimum $8 per picture. Have had a few notes with people still trying to toss insanely low offers at me so thought I'd re-clarify the minimum price.
Nothing personal to anyone past or present that has commissioned me. I just had a bit of a breakdown when drawing pictures at $1 or even less and made me feel awful doing them, so I'm hoping to avoid that by getting paid a little better per piece.
I also still do art trades as well~

Re-activating/pushing hard for commissions
Posted 10 years agoWoo, account inactivity due to real life problems.
TL;DR/too lazy to write the full story, been trying to find a new forever home these past weeks/months. And for the life of me, getting one is practically impossible with my current conditions.
So let's see if I can pick back up commissions, along with my little job, and make much moneys.

A little clarification on things
Posted 11 years agoJust gonna make a quick journal here since I've had a few matters asked of me recently. Gonna explain things and for those diehard fans of mine (whoops, I don't got those, nvm) some more Spencer-related knowledge/trivia~
Q) Spencer never watches anyone on FA?
A) The quickest and dirty answer is that I'm too lazy to go through thousands of submissions, journals, and etc. things.
In longer answer terms, I have a huge, HUGE organization problem, that carries into many fields, be it from my clothes upkeep, my computer files and folders, or just about anything. I have an odd OCD to make things nice and neat, and I tend to check FA often and like to have my 'new messages' count at 0. ...you can imagine how much time I'd end up wasting checking FA every 5 minutes to find 3 new submissions and 5 journals, and even more time by checking what all submissions and journals were posted; I'd never get anything done at that pace.
And for my friends and close contacts, I check their pages often enough anyway.
So to be fair, I don't watch anyone. I DO bookmark people's pages I like to check often, but that's on my own time, when I got the spare time to check around and such.
Q) What's a Spencer's living conditions like/are you in super bad need of money?
A) As everyone knows, I tend to post a PWYW commission picture reminder often, and have some people think that I'm in super-dire need of money.
While true to some extent, as of the moment, I do have some savings built up, thanks to everyone's generousity (never would have expected such wild variations in the pay what you want system!) and while I do continue to look for more customers, I'm not in as bad of a situation as I was, say, months ago when I was literally on the verge of debt.
I live on my grandparent's land, and spend about full-time hours upkeeping their acres of yard, mowing, weedeating, digging and filling holes, helping plant flowers, etc. offjobs.
All my bills put together, electricity, internet, and occasionally 'rent', I tend to need from $150-200 a month to keep myself in a generally liveable situation. I got about $350 saved up right now with all my customer's help. <3
I do hope that I'll find an actual job soon enough, and spend at least a day every week going about checking employers out, but for now I still depend on drawing art for payer's choice, so please don't be too worried/offended about me submitting my PWYW reminder often.
Q) Daily art flood days missed/skipped?
A) Due to the nature of how some days can work out, I might end up super busy with commission work, yardwork, driving around town trying to find a workplace opportunity, or a mix of those and other things such as very bad weather (our internet service drops very easily in even mild rain), can make me miss day(s) in posting daily.
So don't worry too hard, I'll continue to post as much as I can, when I can~ ^^
Q) Skype contact/you removed me from Skype?
A) I recently had a huge Skype contact purge, but it was not personal for many of the ones I removed.
Again, my type of OCD has me organize things weirdly, and I had noticed that almost three quarters of my 100-ish Skype contacts had not even talked to me in the last week/month/year(s).
As for people who ask and want to add me to Skype, generally it isn't worth it. I'm usually difficult to hold a conversation with, and as I tell everyone, I don't RP/Roleplay, so the things that we can usually do is very minimal. And I felt bad enough removing a ton of people, I don't wanna make a habit of it.
Still, if you do want to add me to Skype, please know that I'd like to be adding you knowing that we have more in common than just 'we both like vore' or 'want to say hi'. ^^;
Q) Games you play/steam?
A) I've been asked this a few times. At the moment, I have no major game/MMORPG investments. I have been playing a bit of Dungeon Defenders via Skype, but I don't got many other games going right now.
If you know of a game or MMO that you'd like to see me get on/play with you, I'm always available for suggestions. :3
Q) Why do you never RP?
A) To put it bluntly...roleplaying bores me.
It feels like work I don't get paid to do. It's just not fun for me to type lots of text about things that happen, and I much prefer drawing things that happen. Hince why I draw so much!
Q) PWYW limits?
A) Some have mentioned if I have any limitations on my pay what you want commissions.
Well, as the title so speaks, it is pay what you want, and I try my best to not be the kind of person who asks for a minimum price to it, but I do have some limits, so for those who read, and possibly as a self referance I can guide people to, let me name a few things out;
- There is no subject that is off limits when it comes to what I will draw for you, but keep in mind things that I have never drawn before, such as fetishes I have never touched, or general adultish anatomy, will probably not look as...erotic as you may hope it to be. Also, any actual characters you want included, I will need written consent from them, via an FA note.
- For people who want to pay $1 or less, the best I can do is a quick doodle. It gives me a bad taste in my mouth when somebody tries to get multiple pictures/series and offers me $.50 per part, or something. I don't have any problem doing $1 doodles, but those will likely be one-time drawings, and complex characters would likely be drawn less complex.
- I try to avoid comics or lengthy sequences due to how much time they take vs. pictures, before-after images, or very simple sequences. I 'can' try larger comics, but I will likely try to ask for a larger donation and ask you to be very, very patient with how long it will take me to do.
- There is -no- limit to how many times you can re-commission me.
RossMallo is a good example of this - He generally pays me $3-4 per picture, and you all have seen the dozens of images I've done for him.
- The general waiting period I try to keep less than a week, but on good days I can try to return a picture within 24 hours, and small sequences within 2-3 days. Larger comics that get asked for...I try to wrap them up in a month's time. Pictures and comics that take more time than anticipated I try to show previews to, to show they're not forgotten.
- I can fix color mistakes, markings, and other character based details, but I will generally not re-draw an entire image unless it's a special circumstance.
I hope that sums up any questions people may have regarding my pay what you want commissions. X3
Q) Open for trades?
A) Almost always. I love art of my character, as obvious as it is. <3 I rarely turn down art trades, but commissions are first and foremost, so on very busy commissioning days it may take longer to do my half.
Q) How come you rarely comment?
A) Partly my OCD to blame in zapping recent updates, also part that I sometimes find it hard to make a unique comment back.
I think that's about everything that's been asked of me and on my mind recently. Feel free to make a comment with your own questions if you want. X3
