Art Trades and Some Requests
Posted 8 years agoBack home and wanting to crank out some artwork! Was thinking of some art trades? Possibly some requests, it just depends.
If you're interested in a trade or request, just drop below. I'm prone to draw monster-girls more than anything, but anything female is good by me <3
If it's a request, I get total freedom on my part, so just keep that in mind on whether or not you like my style!

Art Sale!!!
Posted 9 years agoHaving an art sale! 20% off your entire order! 2-3 pieces can be completed a day (Monday-Friday) depending on the complexity of the pieces.
I'm saving up to get a new tv and stuff for a dog I'd like to adopt, so I figure I might as well make it a win-win for everybody. You get discounted art, I get funds to go toward all the doggy stuff and hopefully a new tv (dog comes first though, tv is just cracked because of my daughter, who is the only one to usually watch it). If you spend more than $50, you get a free sketch (separate from your order)! Over $100 gets a mono-sketch, and over $150 gets a colored sketch!
Go check it oooouuuttttt.

Sphinxling's Terms of Service
Posted 9 years agoSphinxling's ToS
Although I am open to and can draw most fursona commissions, please be aware that I am more specialized and comfortable with humanoid/monster creatures for subjects, and I am more likely to accept those types of commissions over furry work if the fursona is overly complicated or the commissioner is very controlling of the commission.
What I WILL NOT draw:
Scat
Water sports
Vore (soft or hard)
Diaper furs
Cub porn
Anything immoral (c'mon, just use common sense)
Mecha (maybe if it's just some armor pieces, but not whole suits or machines)
Extremely obese/anorexic furs/characters
Macro anything
Way too much rainbow (portions of characters such as hair and/or markings are fine)
Extremely controlled poses/pieces. This means art so specific that I have no wiggle room or freedom to add/alter anything at all. I cannot/will not draw under extremely rigid conditions.
What I WILL draw:
Smut/porn (including tentacles and other fetishes not mentioned in above list)
Human/oid
Fursonas
Armored characters
Gore
Vent art
Any gender/sex
Chubby furs/characters
If you have a request that you're unsure of, or you don't see something on my lists, definitely shoot me a note and ask about it!
Refusal of Service:
Please understand that I have the right to refuse service to anyone (though it's only been done in extreme circumstances), and if I am not comfortable with a particular commission, I may refer you to an open artist who would be better suited to what you are looking for.
Changes to Art:
Changes can only be made during the sketch or line art phase, but must not be excessive if in the line work stage. I don't charge for any extra changes to a sketch, but once I have a line work completed, any change that is major (adding wings, changing/adding large area of tattoos, face/body angle, armor, etc) will only be done at an extra cost determined by complexity. Basically, don't leave out details when we discuss the sketch.
Payment:
Payment must be received before I begin on any line work or detail. I will provide a concept sketch for your approval before you pay. Once you have paid, you have agreed that the concept sketch is to your liking, and that is the image that will be worked with.
If you purchase a line art, and want to upgrade it to a painting at a later date, the price of the line art will come off the price of making it a painting.
**I will only make artwork private for a fee of 10% final art cost. This applies if you do not want me to post the art anywhere ever. My final products are my advertisement, thus, you're paying the advertisement cost. It's free to just post the art as "anonymous commission."
Payment only in the form of Paypal. Once terms/sketches have been agreed on, I will send you an invoice to pay at your convenience.
Refund Policy:
Generally, I do not offer refunds after 5 days of work unless there is a special circumstance.
If you request a refund within those first five days, what you get back depends on how much work has already been put in. Example:
You buy a flat colored line art, but I've only completed the line art. You will receive credit for the price of adding color, but not for the price of a line work. So if you pay $40 for a flat colored line art, and the line art is normally $25, color another $15, you will only receive the $15 back. If you were to ask for a refund after the color has already been started, there would be no refund at all, because the work is already put in.
Please be aware that in case of a Paypal dispute where you have received art and try to screw me over by filing a claim, I keep all conversations, and will screen cap them, along with my ToS, as proof of my side of the claim. Be up front with me, and I'll be up front with you.
Rights to Art:
While the character in the art may be yours, the art is mine, therefore all rights of the art belong to me, and can be used in advertisement, fundraising, or just in any of my galleries with my watermark over the art. If you wish to purchase the actual rights to the art for you to use for profit, then we can discuss a buying price and we will both sign an e-contract.
No one, for any reason, may alter any of my work. None of my work is free to use or alter, and I will take legal action where necessary. Just have common sense, please.
Discounts:
15% to active duty/reserves military members (must provide proof in form of CAC/privilege card showing name and branch, everything else can be blocked out if you wish)
If you've read all of this and still want to commission me, I am so excited to work with you! Thank you for taking the time to read and understand how I work, and I hope to work with you soon!

Home Sweet Home!!!
Posted 10 years agoYay! I'm finally at Malmstrom AFB in Montana! Hubby got stationed here, and it's been a 6 day trip getting here from across the country. I'm working on a YCH commish, but then I wanted to offer a chance at some free art! I've had my computer packed up for the entire trip, and I'd really like to do some sketching. :D So if you're interested in a rough sketch/line art of your character/sona, give me refs below, and I'll pick a few to do. You must be okay with NSFW though, because some of the sketches may turn out to be that way. Not all of them, but if the character and pose strike me...well.... haha
I plan on running some commission sales, finishing my ToS, making my FA pretty, and working through my Tumblr. I finally have the chance to make this art thing serious, and I want to get my name out there.
Thank you to everyone who has patience and has followed the few things I've (lazily) posted!

Free Art? Why wouldn't you!?
Posted 10 years agoWhy I won't make a general reference sheet.
Posted 10 years agoI had someone message me yesterday through Facebook asking me why I won't make a general reference sheet (I guess something like Waitress bases) that I could let everyone use for my species, or why I don't do them at all. Well, I guess I should address that now, before people decide whether or not they want to commission me.
Honestly, I am not a fan of generic bases that can be used over and over again. Not that I have anything against an artist that uses them, because honestly, that probably makes their work hella easier, but it's just not for me. I'm one of those weird artists who wants to make sure that any and everything I ever give to another person is unique and individual. I know that not everyone wants portrait style art of their sonas, and that's okay, but for those that do, I try to cater to their individual needs and give them something truly worthy of their characters. I'm biased when it comes to portrait art, so there is that too.
Another reason I don't make a general reference base is because I don't want people making profit off of my work. It's one thing to turn around and sell a sona that you've bought from me, but if someone were to just take my base and color it in to sell it as their own creative work, I'd genuinely be angry. I understand that some people just don't have the same talent for linework as they do for their coloring, but if that's the case, I would much rather create a line-art for someone to color in themselves and keep as their own, not for profit distribution.
Anyway, I figured I might explain that a little since it's been a questions I've been asked a few times in the past few days.

Hi There! Let me introduce myself!
Posted 10 years agoHi! I'm pretty new on the scene for 'sona art, but I've quickly fallen in love with it. I've even created my own species, called the Zyriphim. I do a lot of different things, from fursonas to game character art, animals, plants, NSFW. The only thing I'm really not great with is mecha art, so hopefully you can find someone with a talent for it if you're in need. I'll try to come up with reasonable prices for things, and under the right circumstances, I'm always up for a trade. Let me know what you think of my work so far, and I hope you'll join me on my journey as I improve and mess around with art programs!
