Posted 14 years agoFor real today, and I feel a fair deal better. Yeah, eating a whole pecan pie at midnight, probably wasn't the best choice, but who cares, not like I'm gonna get a cake.
I suppose today I'm going to write a short story up for myself....just a lemon to see if I have my desire to write back. Suppose if anyone's reading this and has any sort of suggestions on possibly inclusions, scenes, characters, kinks, and the like, go ahead and leave them.

Birthday time!
Posted 14 years agoAlmost anyway...it's only the 29th. Big ol' number 21 coming up, and that means I'll be legal to buy and consume alcohol. Not that I'm gonna go out and get totally wasted or some stupid crap....
In the mean time, I'm having trouble calming myself down, shaky hands, feel like my heart's racing. I really should have been quicker about tuning away from Decoded.... Just some disturbing stuff, problem is, even if the predictions were made, all prophecies were made out to be vague, able to be able to applied to most everything...
Ah well, this should be a happy time, and I'm gonna try to keep a smile on, and just enjoy the passing of another year rather than gushing on any further in a journal that will most likely go unread.

Eight days from my birthday and...
Posted 14 years agoComputer problems. -.- I'm getting real sick of Microsoft, and Microsoft Security Essentials, and Windows 7.
From best I can tell there was an optional update for the core files of MSE, I went ahead and started doing the update since I was planning to turn my computer off for the afternoon, well, halfway into it my entire computer locked up. After waiting for the better part of an hour I manually turned the computer off, waited five minutes, and turned it back on, booting as normal. Everything goes fine until the login, at which time the screen goes black save for my mouse cursor. From here I can't do anything except power down.
So, I moved to booting up in safe mode to attempt to remedy the problem, in this case a problem with MSE. Only problem is, the program can't be uninstalled from Add/Remove programs, can't be re-installed in safe mode, and the Microsoft Fix-it For Me program on the Microsoft website can't be used in safe mode.
As I'm typing this I'm having my anti-virus program performing a scan just to make sure, my next step will be trying an advanced recovery form, as for some reason my System Restore points have all been fried.
If these all fail I'll be manually deleting the program folder for MSE, and frankly never re-installing it since it's caused me nothing but trouble since I got it.
Edit: Managed to fix it...I think, deleted everything in the MSE folder, and suddenly it boots up just fine. Regardless, let this be a lesson for all Windows 7 users, don't bother with MSE, find yourself your own Anti-virus/Anti-malware programs that are free-to-use for personal use.

Posted 14 years agoYeah, it's night time on the first day of September here. My birthday is this month, and it seems like the weather was a touch more comfortable during the daylight hours than it has been for the past two months.
Maybe I'll talk myself into doing some more RPs worth turning into stories, but probably not. Something about this summer really sapped my writing spirit, ah well.
Anyways, in celebration for the more bearable weather today, I went ahead and put up the avatar I had planned on waiting to put up until my birthday.

Rant Rant Rant!
Posted 14 years agoSo, today I decided to play a round of League of Legends in the PvP, Normal 5v5 matchmaking que. I watched as positions were eaten up in the other four slots by 'Vayne', 'Sion', 'Renekton', and 'Nunu'. So, I spent a little while deciding on what our team needed and went, 'Ah, someone to hold them in place during team fights for Nunu to drop his ultimate.' Settling upon 'Amumu' that gave us a fairly tanky team with adequate burst damage and a bounty of AoE effects.
Here's a fair time to list their champions, but no URL links for these: Amumu, Nocturne, Fiddlesticks, Vladimir, and Master Yi. (This gives them a great advantage in single-target kills, but hinders them in them slightly in team fighting ability.)
Well, the match starts off, they have a disconnected Fiddlesticks and a jungler, so they have one person on each lane. Myself and Renekton went top (against Vladimir) as Sion wanted to solo lane (against Amumu). Our Vayne went mid (against their Master Yi) and the ball got to rolling. Laning is going smoothly against Vlad, Renekton even chalked up a first blood with the help of my bandage toss, but he got hot-headed and started auto-attacking minions, always keeping Vlad in the safety of his tower and us at risk of being ambushed. Eventually their Fiddlesticks returns and level four rolls around.
This is when, to say it lightly, the shit started hitting the fan. Our Vayne spent a fair deal of time complaining about not being warned when she got herself killed by lingering and pushing too hard on mid and getting ganked once or twice by their jungling Nocturne. Eventually our Nunu comes to top to gank Vlad, this idiot runs out early before Vlad even has a chance to move away from his tower, gets hit by the tower's auto-attack and runs back into the bushes, eventually the minions catch up, we go in for a kill, chalk it up, but their Vlad scored a double-kill on the other two in the process, and I'm somehow at fault for not dying too. Anyways, things roll along for a while longer, Sion is getting arrogant down on bot, gets himself killed twice by their Amumu when Master yi pops out for a gank.
All the while I've finished my second shopping trip, and gone towards mid (having seen three champions moving in on it against our lone Vayne.) I get there, and for some reason unknown to me, our Vayne leaves, goes top and spends the next five minutes up there auto-attacking minions! (This being after top got pushed when Nocturne and Master Yi popped up.) At this point I'm sitting with 2 kills, 0 deaths, 3 assists. Solid, considering there has been absolutely zero team fighting cooperation because Vayne and Sion thought they were exempt to partaking in team based activities, and now standing alone, watching my former help running to top...to farm, as three enemy champions push mid with a wave of minions... I end up getting myself killed, but save the tower for several more minutes, enough that the rest of the team stopped sleeping and got there to push them back.
All this while I'm getting to see the team tossing insults at me, and my relatively neutral score, compared to their miserable, more deaths than kill ratios on the lot of them. Perhaps it's just my fuming, but if they're not grouping up properly for team fights (i.e. Vayne is auto-attacking minions while picking her nose, or Sion is off on bottom getting himself ganked AGAIN) and my Champion, Amumu, can only to his job properly during team fights, should it really be me their tossing insults at?
The enemy Amumu meanwhile got to chalk up plenty of kills/assists off of working with his allies, and as such acquired items far more rapidly than I could and then Sion (who was responsible for giving many of those assists/kills to their Amumu) tries to point out the major gap between our items (which, really, it wasn't all that great, he finished his Sunfire cape a whole two minutes before me, but then again he got his teammate's to work with him, instead of tottering about like they were Rambo.) All the while, I spent most of my time staring at Vayne's icon, roaming about randomly instead of doing anything remotely considered useful to the team without a word being aimed at her.
*Huff* End rant, and end of story, pretty much not playing PvP outside of a 3v3 arena in LoL anymore, less chances of finding myself royally screwed there.

Trouser Onix!
Posted 14 years agoSo, I was discussing things with a friend about a character of mine, a Ditto, and how I figured that since they can transform into any Pokemon it sees, which ranges the scales from Wailord to Skitty in sizes, there's no reason it wouldn't also be able to change the size of the forms it assumes.
And that's when I thought about having an Onix small enough to fit into your hand, and dubbed it the "Trouser Onix" after the old "One-eyed Trouser Snake" joke, cause it's the "Rock Snake" Pokemon.
Where can one go with this? Who knows, I personally thought of the most aesthetically appealing Pokemon to me and went with "Gardevoir used Attract!" "Trouser Onix became infatuated with Gardevoir!" "Trouser Onix used Harden!" as my on-a-whim joke.
So, food for thought for any artists that might come across this that are a touch stuck on what they feel like drawing right then, take the joke and run with it, why not~
