As stated before however: character charts and sketch comms will remain the same.
I do also want to warn some of you that I will be more strict on charging extra for objects. Weapons especially will be extra depending on how much detail/how many need to be drawn, etc.
And yeah..it's a bummer having to pay more....but don't fret! For the new 30% off Mass Effect Sale! is RIGHT around the corner!!!

PRICES CHANGE--TWO WEEKS NOTICE!
Posted 4 years agoAlright everyone! I've finally figured out the new prices for commissions!! It took a while but I think I'm at a point where I'm happy with it. Please note that again this was very difficult for me to do but I think it's about time for a change. Regardless, the new prices will begin on this date:
October 1st 2021
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!! You have until the end of this month to get comms with the old prices!
Note: character charts and sketch commission prices will remain the same.
However here are some hints to the changes: Lettering in comic pages will be a bit more extra (As lettering is kinda a pain for me lol) and objects will be for SURE extra. This includes GUNS especially or any kind of weaponry.
Background art will also be charged in a, hopefully, more efficient way.
Forests will be charged differently from office buildings, cityscapes, etc.
NOTE: There is no such thing as a 'simple' forest. I can't count how many times a customer wanted a 'simple' background but asked for trees and bushes. Unless those trees and bushes are on the level of a Peanuts comic (And really even then, there is work to be done), it ain't 'simple.'

DBZ Sale is OVER--!MAJOR UPDATES PLEASE READ!

I do love this sale, probably my favorite of the year! It's so varied and I have such nostalgia for the series :) I truly thank all of you who've commissioned and/or supported me during this time. I cannot thank you enough, especially considering how hard that can be these days.
On another serious note, there is a MAJOR change regarding Commissions that I plan to warn you all about during this month:
New Commission Prices
Now before you panic! Let me explain!
There are three reasons for this: One, is that paypal has hiked up the percentage of how much they take from us (which was already a lot--sometimes $100.00 USD a month in my case). Two, I haven't changed these prices in YEARS upon YEARS, and three, I feel my art has improved a lot to warrant such a thing.
There IS a silver lining HOWEVER! Cause I truly feel bad about raising the prices, but guess WHAT?!
SALES WILL BE BIGGER!!
Yup!! I'm going to take off MORE than 20% from now on!!! So the next sale, which is the Mass Effect sale starting November 7th of this year, will take off a larger percentage than just 20%. I still haven't decided just how large the sales will be from now on but, I plan to keep you all updated. Please note, that this wasn't an easy decision for me and I WILL do my best to keep the prices fair. Some prices may only be $10 higher, others may be more.
I will also be giving you all a warning TWO WEEKS before the prices officially change!!
So you will have time to prepare. Nothing is quite set in stone BUT I do plan to have the prices changed either by the end of this month or the beginning of October. Right now i'm with my calculator in one hand and my budget in another to determine how high the prices will be.
Two more things to note: Sketch commission prices AND Character Sheet prices will remain the SAME.
Do let me know if you have any questions or concerns! Once again, I do plan on warning you guys TWO WEEKS before I implement the prices and let you know how large the sales will be. Thank you all for your kindness and understanding.

Commissions Closed--Paypal
Posted 5 years agoTurns out there's a glitch going around w/ paypal where it's limiting accounts that send/receive money so for now I have no choice but to close comms again until they resolve it. UGH paypal WHY.....on the bright side it HASN'T happened to my account so that's good. But until the issue is resolved comms are closed.
Hopefully comms will ONLY be closed for a few days (a week at most). Though I do have other means of payment on ko-fi so i may take some comms there.

Furry Gallery Added + Icon Comms

Just wanted to update you all with a few things before we begin the 20% off Mass Effect Sale, which begins November 7th of this year!
Onto the news:
1.) There is a new section in my gallery specifically for Furry/Scaly art.
I've been getting some messages lately from surprised ppl who hadn't realized that I DO in fact draw furry art. XD I know I draw a looooot of monsters/aliens but I also do anthros too! This sadly should've been done sooner but I've FINALLY made a gallery section specifically where you may find my furry and scaly art!! Note: There are a few 'liberties' with what I've included in the gallery (some mythical creatures are there among others).
A few examples of what's in this new gallery are: werewolves, fox ladies, minotaurs, rabbit ppl, dragons, nagas, argonians, as well as the occasional anime dude w/ cat ears.
Here's a link if you wanna see all of the furry/scaly art I've made, including my cringy old stuff from when i first joined FA XD.
2.) Icon Commissions can come in two different ways now. They may either cut off or show the ENTIRE head.
Over the years I've noticed is that whenever I draw an icon where the character's head is cut off in places, it's soooooo much faster than having to draw the ENTIRE head (and sometimes a bit of the shoulders). Officially, I'm making that regular icons, which cost $15.00 USD, are the ones where the head is cut off. Sometimes this cut off is minimal, sometimes it's a bit more, depending on the head/headwear of the OC in question. You may find an example of a 'cut off' icon in my commission info page under the 'Icon/Avatar Commission' section.
However, if you want an icon that shows the ENTIRE head (and maybe some of the shoulders but, not much) then it will be $11.00 USD extra from now on.
The thing is? I try to price things by how long they take me to draw/color so sadly this is necessary since one type of icon does take me longer to draw than the other. Similarly, if there are two or more characters in an icon (or a large object(s) is involved), that too is extra as seen on my commission page linked here.
You may find examples of my icon commissions here. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like and let me know if you have any concerns.

Posted 5 years agoHey all! Thank you so much for waiting patiently these two weeks. I'm happy to announce that commissions are once again open! My father has been recovering well from his surgery (though he is still in a lot of pain). The doctors have found NO more cancer in him :D---however the cancer did go to his lymph-nodes so it is possible it could come back, but I'm just happy that for now the treatments and surgeries (he's now had FOUR ugh...) have WORKED!!
Gonna still be helping him during his recovery but in the meantime I'd love to work on some commissions to help pay the bills <3

Commissions CLOSED---2 Weeks

I really wasn't expecting to do this again. Any of you who've been with me all this time know I HATE and almost NEVER close commissions but sadly I have AGAIN; for the second time this month. You see, my father has been diagnosed with metastatic gall bladder cancer for a few months now. Thankfully----he's been on both chemo and immuno therapy, and you know what?.....it's been working :D
His cancer has shrunk!
Sadly it did spread to his lymph-nodes but the cancer we are aware of has shrunk and has been responding to the treatment well.
Because of this, he has to have surgery so that they can take out the cancer that's left (as some has spread to the outer parts of his liver). The concern is this (besides the obvious): my father has had THREE surgeries in two years (one of them being a quadruple bypass) and this one in his liver will be his fourth.
He's also VERY old (nearly 80) and i'm just very worried about him.....I've been home helping with my mother during this time and i just need some time with my family. My mother is beyond frantic as well which also isn't helping. Please wish us the luck as we go through this. I just want the surgery to go well...
Sadly this is why I'm cancelling commissions. Current commissions in my queue are still on schedule no matter what and I will accept sketch commissions as well (As those don't take up much of my time).
I apologize again fo the inconvenience but due to the circumstances and stress upon my family, I need to take some time off to take care of things. Thank you all for supporting me during these difficult times. Take care of YOURSELVES as well too!! Stay safe!! <33

One Week Hiatus!
Posted 5 years agoHey all! Hope you're doing well. There's some seriously bad weather where I live and my area (even without this whole mess) almost always gets blackouts anyway. But due to the seriousness of the situation i'm holding off on comms for one week or so, juuuuuust in case things go dark.
Already had internet go in and out today. So yeah....hopefully a one week break and all will be well afterwards!!

Paypal Alternatives??--Any Advice?

First I want to just say that everything is fine despite how the title of this journal reads. My PP is AOK.
I guess.....especially due to this virus....it does make wonder: if PP should ever randomly decide to shut me out of my account as they do to almost EVERYONE---what would I do?? We've all heard the horror stories when it comes to this site. How they freeze accounts and often don't give you your money back. Ironically, the few times I've had to deal w/ PP support, it's actually been a positive experience XD so odd considering how most ppl would say otherwise.
Either way, my question to you all is this:
As either a customer or freelance artist, do you know of any reliable/safe alternatives to paypal?
Things like cashapp and such are phone apps. I personally prefer working on a computer rather than a mobile device 24/7. Plus, do they even send invoices? Do these apps give YOU, as customers, good options to pay for commissions?
Places like Square seem really good! But I'm worried for my customers? When I sent a practice invoice to myself on Square, the payment options were google wallet or one's credit card. Idk how many of you would be comfortable with that? Or am I wrong about this? Commiss.io also seems interesting, but idk how safe that is?
Seriously guys, if you have any ideas I would LOVE to hear them and why you like/hate certain programs. Either way, I still have my paypal (thankfully) but with how evil that site can be....who KNOWS how long? Maybe I'm being paranoid, if so PLEASE let me know, but I would like to at least be AWARE of other options. These times are tough and none of us need more heartache. Any advice you guys can offer would be great. Thank you for taking the time to read this through!
