Yes, I am alive and well and living in sunny Palm Beach Co Florida. I moved down here in September for two reasons: one, to be closer to my family, and two, to have a fresh atmosphere and start a new life. I've been quite busy lately working two jobs, and a few days ago I went to settlement on my first condo. This is a huge deal since I've never lived outside of my parents' house before. Anyway, I'm going to be pretty busy in the next week or two between work and taking all my stuff out of storage, moving it all into the new pad, and unpacking everything. As far as furry goes I just haven't had any time for it save for browsing around on here. I'm actually thinking about going to Megaplex since I've never been there and it's only a few hrs away. Lately I haven't been doing anything fandom related - no cons, events, or anything of that sort. But I've been busy with quite a number of things. Work, for one, is really frustrating because of the mostly crappy or non-existent tips I get from customers. On top of that, I'm using my car to make the deliveries, and the tips I get combined with my salary I feel don't compensate enough for the gas I use or the wear and tear of the car. I'm looking for other jobs and haven't heard anything back yet. When I call to inquire about applications I submitted, I usually get blown off either being referred to someone else or being told that if my qualifications are desirable someone will call me.

Now for the positive stuff. I've been doing P90X for the past ten weeks now, and I'm getting into great shape. That, and I'm adding more proteins and fruits/veggies to my diet while eating less carbs and junk foods. Exercise and diet combined are making me more energetic and motivated. I even ordered P90X2! And in my quest for securing a full-time position in the graphic design field, I got hired by a local printer to do some freelance work. I already made a restaurant menu, and now I'm working on the layout and typesetting for a book representing a local Freemasonry lodge. It's a lot of work, but I've already put in a lot of time on it and I'm getting paid nicely for it. For pleasure I'm not seeing anybody nor do I have a girlfriend, but I do see my (non-furry) friends once in a while.

First of all, my heart goes out to all the kids and families who were a part of the school where the shooting took place and those people who were directly involved with it.

Now, it is said that the shooter was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome and/or some form of autism. I won't explain what AS is, but it is a very misunderstood disability, and those who suffer from it have great difficulty with communicating socially and making friends. This guy obviously was a social misfit who had very little friends and got picked on a lot. He wanted so desperately to fit in and just couldn't, no matter how hard he tried. I, too, have Aspergers, and it has been no sleigh ride. Socially, I went through all of the humiliation and torment that he must have gone through. I can definitely understand how he must have felt - like there was no solution for what ailed him and how he wanted to lash out at something, someone, or everyone for the way he had been treated.

But you know what else? I think the guy is a total piece of shit for what he did. Twenty-six people didn't have to lose their lives because of him. Do you know how many people I've killed because I was mistreated? ZERO!

First of all, what's with Derpy's obsession with muffins? I watched every episode of MLP:FiM thus far and don't recall her ever getting in contact with a muffin. Second, where did Dr. Whooves come from? He wasn't in any episodes of the show, at least none that I can remember.

While everyone is busy brainstorming who performs this character, I would like to tell you who he is not.

I really don't know what to think of this. On one hand the gov't has no right to force citizens to buy products. On the other hand it can potentially save someone like me, whose employer doesn't pay for health insurance, some money if the law will force my employer to buy insurance for its full-time employees. Then again, I'm starting to fear for my safety as so many freedom lovers in this country are getting so fed up w/this president's disregard for the US Constitution that they just might launch another revolutionary war. What do you think? I want to hear your opinions as we could all be in danger here.

I've decided that I'm not going to attend any more furry conventions. I'm just sick of the coldness and callousness of people at these events. Many times when I walk up to someone and say hello the person just ignores me completely or gives a brief response and walks off. I end up feeling humiliated and angry when this happens, and I just feel it's not worth the time or effort anymore.

However, I have to say that my experiences weren't allbad. I have come across some open-minded, warm, and accepting people in this fandom and at these conventions at times. But it seems like they are few and far between. Also, I'm an older man (approaching his 40s), and most of the people that attend these conventions are in their early to mid 20s. I'm not a homosexual (not that I have a problem with those that are), I dislike rave and dubstep music (which is played at every convention), and I'm well past the point of getting plastered every night. Maybe it's this age difference and lack of commonality that's causing disconnect between me and most others that go to these cons.

Ah, well. I don't have many followers on here and not many are going to read this. Those that do I doubt will give a shit anyway. It is what it is and that's how I feel. I'm even looking into selling my bunny suit online.


EDIT: I've come to my senses a bit. I'd go to a convention if, and only if, someone would want to go with me and that person is with me wherever I go. I've always gone to cons by myself and attended them alone. It's more fun if there is someone to keep you company.

For anyone who can answer...

I have a vintage Technics receiver model #SA-5060 that I use to play my records. It still works great with older records, but recently I bought two newer albums on vinyl. I'm not sure if the receiver is set up to handle the quality of today's vinyl because of the wattage it is capable of producing. Is this the case, and if so, is there some sort of part I can get for it to improve its performance?

I'm working on a secret project that I will post on this website and add to my graphic design portfolio when done. It's been a long time since I last submitted anything on here aside from journal entries.

So tonight at my job I drove over six miles, three one way and three back, to deliver pizzas to someone. The order was $45 paid on a credit card. I expected to get a good tip considering the area in which the customer lived was a pretty affluent one. But alas, how wrong I was. The bitch only gave me two measly dollars! I was so mad that I felt like punching her fucking head right off. That's like an ultimate slap in the face when you're driving a far distance, spending most of your own money in gas, and you receive a shitty tip on a high dollar order. If it were me, I would have tipped at least $5 or more to make the total bill an even $50.

If people are going to be this inconsiderate and cheap, then they should either take the time to cook their own meals or go out to eat somewhere else. Lady, take your two bucks and shove it up your fat ass!

I have become a... *gulp* BRONY! I've been sucked in, and I'm recording all the episodes! I even have the urge to draw one of them! Is this good or bad?

I would like to offer a ride for up to two passengers to help pay the cost of tolls and gas expenses. My previous plans of getting to the con fell through, and now I decided I will be driving. What's with the secret identities in the fandom? Some people either never reveal their real names, take photos out of suit, or show themselves in public unless in suit. I mean, everyone knows you're a real person. Either some folks are extremely shy, or they take this fandom a little too seriously.

Sure, furries get lambasted in the media a lot for dressing up in animal costumes and being weird people that get off on porn and sexual fetishes that involve animals. But once a year a whole bunch of people gather at a place in Northern California to take part in strange rituals and do some crazy things. The thing is, this place is supposed to be so secret that you never hear about it. This place I'm talking about is Bohemian Grove.

People that are supposed to be our gods; world leaders, politicians, musicians and moviestars; come here once a year to worship 40-foot stone owls, take part in pagan ritualistic ceremonies, dance and run around naked, fuck, and, oh yeah, plan major events that are going to happen in our country and in other parts of the world. Why don't you hear about this in the news? It's because those that control the media are the ones who go to these meetings, and they tell the media what to report and what not to report. I know what you're thinking: I'm crazy, right? I'm paranoid and I worry too much, right? If you think I'm full of shit, do some research on the net and find out for yourself! This is real!

I'm not going to AC this year because I chose to spend a week in Toronto with a friend instead. To all those who are going have a great time, and give the locals hell! I'm going to be in Toronto with a friend during the first week of July. Fur cons are a dime a dozen, and I've never been to Canada before, so I wanted to take the opportunity to do something I've not done yet in my life. To all who are going, enjoy yourselves.
