I know this is a little late, but I've decided to go to Furfright, and I was wondering if anyone had extra space in their rooms for me? I have a fursuit as well as an air mattress, so sleeping on the floor isn't a problem. I'm a social drinker, but I don't get totally out of control with it. I respect people's privacy and their things. I'm looking to arrive Thursday night and leave on Monday for a total of 4 nights. Another person means less money out of pocket you have to pay for the room! If you can hook a bunneh up, please let me know!

What's with all of these fat bunnies on the site lately? I don't get it; am I missing something?

To those who are straight guys or women:

I have trouble reading people's non-verbal cues and behavior. What are some ways you can tell that a woman is into you if she doesn't tell you so directly?

FA:U was just ok for me, but I saw something there that really irritated me. One night I was in Skippyfox's room hanging out with a bunch of people when we noticed the Holy Bible and the Mormon bible both laying on the floor. Someone picked them up and saw that they both had furry porn drawn on the back pages. This is just plain ignorant and wrong. Now, I'm not a religious person by any means, but I respect others beliefs whether I agree or disagree with them. Stuff like this makes me understand why the fandom gets the bad reputation that it does and makes me wonder why I even joined it in the first place. It's one thing to have fun and be entertained, but if this is how you're going to do it, fuck you. Do this in your sketchbooks, or Don't come to the cons.

I'm going to FA:U this weekend. Who else is going?

What the hell does this mean?!

Anyone know where I can get a pair of anime or aviation style goggles? It's not for my furry character, but another character I made up that may make an appearance @ AC.

I think advancements in technology can be a good thing, but the problem with it is that as time goes on and it gets more powerful, people get more and more dehumanized from it. Face-to-face communication gets more scarce. Like sometimes I go to furmeets and I see people playing with their smartphones, using their laptops, or playing their portable gaming systems in solitude, and I think to myself, "Why come to these meets if you're going to do that?"

I prefer to talk with people in person, so therefore I don't IM very much (unless I'm chatting with someone I know personally). I also don't own a smartphone (just a standard cell phone that slides), and I own two systems: a Wii and a DS which I hardly play anymore. The technology that I think is beneficial to me is the GPS because I tend to get lost when I drive to unfamiliar places, and instead of opening up a map and almost causing an accident, it's easy to just look at the screen and see where you are. Also if I wasn't studying graphic design right now I don't think I'd have a need for a digital camera.

Bottom line is this: I think technology can be a good thing when it fits into your lifestyle and makes things easier for you, but otherwise I think it's pointless.

So last night Obama's health care reform bill was passed. I normally keep politics off my journals, but since this is such an important issue I'd like to get your opinions of what it means to you (or for you). It's a disgrace to me. More of our tax money being taken and being forced to choose a policy in 4 yrs or pay a fine (and possibly go to jail)?! WTF?

Well, for the most part 2009 was just...ok. :( The biggest change for me, and a bad one at that, was losing my job last month. On the plus side I commissioned a great fursuit, went to Cancun with my family, and made the decision to go back to school to study graphic design part-time. One of my New Years resolutions (actually the only one) is to be less assuming and more social at furmeets and cons. Here's to a bright 2010.
