I pulled a muscle in my neck today. It hurts and I can't move my neck much, but I'm going home from school and going to be stuck in my house all day, so I'll have a chance to work on art. Hopefully. >.<

Does anybody have any advice for me or have any idea how long it'll be before it heals?

So I've been seeing a lot of different artist's pages here on FA and on dA, and I've been wondering if I'm not being social enough. On FA, there's people with thousands of comments, and on dA, there's people with even more. The stats on one specific artist I just ran into on dA is what made me post this journal: she's been on dA for 2 years and made 12,464 comments compared to me, who's been there for a year and made 178 comments. Before I started paying attention to stats, I thought I'd made a lot; then I look and see people like that, and my jaw just drops, because I can't even imagine how often she must comment on things (and I can't for the life of me figure out what she must say). But then I look through several of my favorite artists on dA and all their comments are in the tens of thousands too. How do people do that?

I mean, I like talking to people and making friends and things like that, but that's very hard for me to do without meeting people in person, since I normally don't know what to talk about with people. If all these comments are conversations, I probably won't ever be able to get that many, but I assume not all the comments are conversations, so what do people say?

Basically, I need some advice on reaching out to people and on commenting on art sites like FA and dA. How do you talk to people and make friends? What type of comments do you leave on things on art sites? Any idea how people manage to have thousands of comments in short periods of time? What type of things do you say?

With my vacations ending a few days ago, my amount of time available for art is cut substantially. Sadly, my art updates are going to have to slow down. But I am planning on trying to learn how to do speedpaints and other art that doesn't take too long after I finish everything on my to-do list. For what's on the list, I have a schedule I'll try my best to follow.

For the pre-poses, I plan to have them finished by the end of this week. Most likely most of them will be done on the weekend.

I'm aiming for finishing the requests and trades by the end of the month, but that's a tentative date.

Hopefully, I can stick to this, but I apologize in advance if I can't.

I just went to Comic Con in New Orleans, and it was awesome! I saw a lot of cosplayers and took a lot of pictures, and I got a tail and the necomimi ears (only $50). But the best part was when I met some furries there! I didn't get their names but they were the first furries I've ever met in real life. I got lots of hugs~!

Comic Con was so fun; I can't wait for it to come back next year!

Are there groups on this website like Deviantart has or something similar? How does someone get exposure on this site? What can you do here? I've heard of things like role-playing, but I don't know how to do that. Can someone tell me? Can you reply to people's posts on your front page? How do you find popular artists; can you search for them, or is there somewhere you can find them? How do other people see journals; is there a journal portal like Deviantart has? Deviantart is my main art site, so I'm used to their format and interface, so I need help with this one. Sorry for asking 50 billion questions, but I'm lost.
