**☆Just got me a new TABLET! CHEAP Commissions!☆**
Posted 7 years agoI haven't even pulled it out of the box yet BUT I wanted to throw the idea of taking a few cheap commission spots out there. Something to give me a little practice since it's been a very long time since I've played with digital art. Nothing super fancy...maybe cutsie or dark kinda fun stuff. Leave a comment and ref and I'll get back to you...thinking I would only charge between $5-$15 a pop depending on how complex the piece might be. Thanks in advance!!

Just trying to find he time to get back in the loop. Miss you all. Thanks to all the new watchers and commenters, the support and kind words do a world of good for me. I graduate with my technical diploma in May and then I will have the summer (when I'm not working) to get back into some art I owe from last summer....(omg I suck) But I promise not to take on more until I get out what I owe ^__^

Posted 12 years agoHey, I've been busy lately. Will be graduating this May from Culinary school and taking the summer off before continuing on to get my associates degree. Art has taken a pretty big back seat but I want that to change..I just don't know how to fit it in like I want to. Going to try to work on things at least once a week and post whatever I do manage to get done. Really want to apologize to those waiting on me to get out stuff. I suck.
All is pretty well other than always being on the run. My bday is friday and I don't even really have the time to celebrate because life is that crazy with school and work and family;P. Anyway, Take care and I'll try to check in when I can. <3 StarKitty

Posted 13 years agoI have be absent from the internet for a couple of weeks. I am alive and well. Actually, I am pretty busy with trying to finish up the semester at school with finals and work.
Enjoying work for what it is, but it is murdering my art time which is a huge stress reducer for me.
I've been over stress in all honesty, but hoping it will go down once I'm out for winter break...maybe catch up on everything.
I nuked the 600 journals I had waiting for me, if there is something super important I should know...just tell me personally. thanks.
I will sift through 1500 submissions soon...but...nuking them all is tempting. I'm just tired.
I owe everyone everything, will work on it little by little. sorry for taking forever..I suck XP

Posted 13 years agoOk..I just got a call back from a Bakery I had tried to get a job with about 2 years ago and reapplied at on Friday. They want to hire me and asked I come in on Tuesday to fill out paperwork ^________^ So nervous, since I am either getting into a pastry sous chef situation or cake decorating..i feel like I don't know as much as I need to, and fear I will fail miserably. I need to be learning more while in the bakery at school T_T Just gonna take it as it comes....
Still I am So excited.
Still kinda sick though :/ chest congestion...pretty sure its all allergy related too...but I feel achy and blah so..I haven't gotten around to working on much lately...I FEEL like my new job and school and life will make it even harder to fit in art...and arting make me so happy.
This is really just a post asking for more patience and understanding as my crazy life takes another turn at high speeds. I am trying my best to stay on the road but I feel like I am going to fishtail and crash through the railing over the edge of a jagged cliff....wow graphic lol.
The main reason for the job is to get my foot in the door of my careered dream job( making and decorating extreme cakes *only because making other art is hard to live off of *) and saving up money to afford apartment living for my hubby and son. Living with in-laws is killing me with extra stress.
Well, I will update more later and try to get some art rolling again.....-_-*

eratu and son starting tomorrow through Sunday.
Will be driving from Southern Louisiana to North of Fayetteville, Arkansas to a family reunion my grandparents from Cali are flying out to attend. Since I haven't seen them in over 2 years when we moved back out here to the south, it will be real nice to visit. Since I was born and grew up in California with only a small chunk of relatives around the area so hoping its not to awkward being around distant family. Just gonna go and be myself which will be nice because I feel like I have to present myself a little differently to my hubby's family.
Ok..starting to ramble! Hope everyone one has a great weekend!

Power In and Out since Hurricane
Posted 13 years agoOk, so the power has been in and out since Friday morning. Which means I haven't been home very much because of it, so not much art was done. Promise to get back to stuff soon..hoping the power stays on this time...need to go grocery shopping for all the food we lost. Hoping to post something soon...

hurricane update...
Posted 13 years agoSafe and sound...was without power for 48 hours and last night stayed with family. No much damage and no real flooding. Had to throw all food from ouR fridge out because we saved all the food from another fridge and deep freeze first. Also didn't get much art done...colored candles make it hard to do accurate work..sorry guys. Go back to school monday so we will see what happens from there. Won't be around the house much more this weekend since we had/have plans for some LSU football tailgating that not even the hurricane will damper! SO off to watch the tigers destroy N.Texas! Hurricane=arttime

I'm living right around Baton Rouge, LA and school was canceled for me, tomorrow and Wednesday. Under a tropical storm warning for my area(at the moment). SOO, hopefully, this means I will be able to stay in and safe and work on art that I owe.

Posted 13 years agoSo, tomorrow is my first day of Fall semester classes D:
Not feeling so excited, but hoping that will change once I get used to routine again.
I just wanted to document my bucket list accomplishments this summer..
Summer Bucket list:
1. Make yarn tail : This is something I did start, I just under estimated the amount of time it was going to take on top of being highly ambitious, so I have only completed the tail tip of a 2 foot long tail.
2. Continue work on the fetish : I did one more picture for the Meme..that does count right?
3. paint something meaningful on canvas : While I never obtained an actual canvas, I am trying to get started on a auction piece on a sketchbook, similar to canvas....Anyway I am justifying this as counting because once the winner sends the funds, They will be forwarded 100% to help
and family. That is meaningful to me.
4. draw as often as possible and POST stuff : CHECK for sure! I have posted so much this summer...I am thinking of doing a collage of all that I was able to accomplish, would anyone care to see that?
5. Maybe do a trade or two : I definitely did this one too, I traded several things and it was awesome.
Overall, I think I did very good with my summer bucket list and feel very fulfilled with the amount of time I did have with art. I just don't want it to end T-T . I will be lurking as much as I can and keep posting stuff too.
