COMMISSIONS OPEN!
Posted 11 years agoAs I am currently working on the final commission in my backlog, I am opening up for a new batch of commissions.
This round I am doing SOMETHING NEW AND EXCITING.
Along with clean and mature commissions, I am also taking on ADULT commissions!
There are a few small things to note, however, along with all that is listed in my Terms of Service:
1. I will only take on the ideas that interest me, as has been the norm for my commissions so far. Even if I do not accept your initial idea, we can work together toward something!
2. I request a $20 extra fee for adult content, but this will allow you to buy something as explicit and filthy as your heart desires, as long as it is something I will draw!
I am looking to draw more than just boobs this round. Large breasts aren't all I'm good at or enjoy drawing! ;)
For information on pricing, PLEASE view the following link! > http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10598503/
To commission me, please send an e-mail. Do not ask for a commission through a comment or IM!

High time for an update!
Posted 11 years agoSince it's been nearly eight months since that last journal of mine...
I'm still alive, and have been doing much, muuuuch better since I've posted that last journal! Therapy and medication combined have been helping me out a great deal; I no longer have panic attacks, no longer have depressing or anxious thoughts, and I have my motivation and excitement for drawing back!
I'm still undergoing therapy and taking my Seroxat at a 30mg dose, and it will be a few months before I'm weaned off the medication. However, I'm not complaining seeing how much good came out of that. It's nice to be able to go about my day without ruminations, focus, and overall have a more positive attitude. I've certainly accomplished a lot more than I ever have since I was put on medication, it's really rewarding to be myself sans the anxiety. <3
I have a few commissions in my backlog, and will be doing my best clearing those out this week and the coming. I sincerely apologize for how long these have taken, and will be putting in extra effort to make up for it. My queue can be viewed right here, and I will do my best to keep everyone informed on the progress of their commissions. c:
I would also like to note that I'm much more active on Weasyl, https://www.weasyl.com/~stereo since FurAffinity is unfortunately pretty slow on my end currently, plus I'm posting the occasional material that I don't post here over there. So make sure to watch me on there if you'd like to keep up with more of my art and such!
S'all for now, if you're interested in more updates and such, you can follow my Twitter at stereopossum~

Some Life Updates
Posted 12 years agoSeeing as I have a few commissions on my plate which will likely take some time to get around to, I figured it would be a good idea to write this journal to give a heads up as to what's been happening - some of you may already know through following my Twitter.
During the past few days, I have experienced severe panic attacks. I have made a total of five trips to the hospital because of how utterly debilitating the symptoms were. The attacks would last hours, and sometimes I'd have two of these in a single day.
All physical tests came out clean, and eventually it was concluded as being psychological. Once I was properly evaluated by a psychiatrist, I was diagnosed with "severe anxiety with a little depression and OCD". I've been prescribed two medications - Clonazepam and Seroxat. The first will only be for a few weeks, the second for around six or so months starting today, ideally... Which means that factored in with talk therapy, they are estimating a recovery time of six months.
Clonazepam has done a good job at keeping my anxiety at bay so far, and thankfully I am not experiencing harsh side effects apart from temporary desensitization, slower motor control and cold hands.
It is too early to call how this will affect me as days progress, and I still have no clear idea as to how this might affect my ability to draw.
I will likely need some time to adjust to those medications, so to those who talk to me frequently - please bear with me if I am not responsive, seem irritated, or whatever. To those whom I owe a commission, please let me know if you would rather have a refund and I will be more than happy to oblige.
Thank you for your understanding,

Commissions Open!
Posted 12 years ago[Life Update + Account Split]
Posted 12 years agoHaven't made an update in a very long while.
Everything has been going fine with my eye. It had only taken a week to heal before they were able to remove the bandage lens, which helped alleviate most, if not all of the irritation and pain that came with it. I have had frequent appointments and I'm happy to report there have been no complications since. I am grateful that it did not take long to heal - from what I've read, sometimes it can take roughly two weeks or more for some people.
I have been using anti-inflammation eye-drops for the past two-ish months and I still have to continue using the same drops for another full month. There has been very minimal, but still noticeable improvement in my sight. Nearly all of the light sensitivity has gone away and I am able to read fonts slightly smaller than 25 px. Blurred vision and ghosting however still remain and are manageable with glasses.
I have an appointment on the 1st of May, at which then I'll know what happens after and when my next surgery will be scheduled - my left eye still has some level of Keratoconus progression that has to be dealt with, despite being much, much less severe than my right eye. I was told they may be able to get the surgery done by the end of May, which would fall much earlier than initially (Late June). Hopefully on the same appointment, I will find out when I will be fit with contact lenses that should provide me with near-perfect vision.
This means I have to go through everything that I've gone through with my right eye all over again, except this time it's with my left. Should be smooth sailing, as I know now what to expect. I look forward to it. <3
On an unrelated note, all explicit, hard adult material will be uploaded to my alternate account,
from now on. I respect that some of my watchers are not into the kinds of kinks I am into and draw occasionally. Maybe I am being overly concerned here to a certain extent, but I feel this will filter out as much trouble as possible. c:

[Surgery Day]
Posted 12 years agoI had the first one of the two surgeries this morning at 8:00 AM.
It went smoothly without any hassle or problem and that I am grateful for. I got a good kick out of seeing my doctors' faces once they saw how completely and utterly chill I was through the whole thing.
The only annoyances I faced were after the surgery. Light sensitivity hit me like a fucking cement brick in the face and it was so bad I couldn't even stand any kind of light, even the faintest of lights and I couldn't bear to be in a room with any kind of light. They said that was completely normal after the surgery and wearing a pair of sunglasses helped alleviate some of that.
The second annoyance was after I got home and went to sleep off all these drugs. During the first two hours of sleep, the painkillers wore off and I was in a world of agony and hell. It's a fucking understatement when they say the pain feels like having sand in your eyes, it was a lot worse than that! But no problem, I popped in some ibuprofen and eye-drop painkillers then went straight back to bed.
Seven hours later, I feel much much better. Light sensitivity died down and I'm not feeling the slightest pinch of pain right now. I have to pop in two types of eye-drops six times a day every three hours, with ten minutes spare between each one. I was told the first two days are the hardest and that after that it should certainly get a lot better as healing typically takes anywhere from 4-5 days to a week, depending on the person.
I have a follow-up tomorrow morning at 8 AM and another on Thursday, then a few more will follow every couple of days until my eye is fully healed. I can safely say that I'm looking forward to getting this over with and getting the second surgery done in two-three months, but for now I'm just going to sit back and be chill about the whole thing.
I would like to give a big thank you to each and every single one of you who has wished me well. It helps a lot to have that support from you guys and I'm glad you're all in my life. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart. <3

[RE: Life]
Posted 12 years agoFollow up on my last journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/4287392/
Giving a heads up that my activity may dwindle in the next coming weeks as I am scheduled to go in for cross-linking on the 4th of March to halt Keratoconus progression.
I will not be fully incapacitated as they won't operate on both eyes at the same time. They'll be doing my worst eye, my right one on that date and then my left eye in two months from that. Being that they will be using the invasive procedure, I will have to go in for regular check ups every couple of days or so as the first week is the most crucial period; the healing stage.
As stated previously, this does not cure the disorder and only halts the progression where it is right now which is a good thing while I still have most of my vision. After cross-linking, I will be fitted with special contact lenses that should help improve my sight.
Currently I'm using a new pair of glasses I was prescribed a week ago as a temporary mean of providing better sight. It's not perfect due to the double vision and blurryness brought on by Keratoconus, but it has been immensely helpful and certainly provided a little more comfort - it sure feels nice to be able to actually read text from a distance!
I figure it'll be better once I have the procedure done and I am certainly looking forward to that. It will be a long way, as they are expecting the entire ordeal to take anywhere from 4-6 months.
How active I am will depend entirely on my capability, but I will try to keep everyone updated as best as I can. I will still continue to draw like I have done so. Sure it's a little slower, but that does not matter so long as I continue to enjoy it. Who knows, it might be interesting to compare my progress between now and then. <3

[Important Life Update; Please Read.]
Posted 12 years agoFor the past few weeks, I have been having trouble reading and making out the finer details of an image due to my vision becoming gradually blurry, so much that I had and still have to keep squinting to even be able to make out anything. I didn't think much of it, thought maybe I needed new prescription glasses.
That was not the case. I went to the doctor for a simple eye check, only for them to find a refractive error and thus I was assigned an appointment for a corneal topography reading, which was today, this very morning.
Found out I have Keratoconous; a degenerative eye disease that remained undetectable until now. What this means, is that it affects the structure of the cornea such that it slowly changes into a conical shape as opposed to the normal round shape, eventually leading to vision problems like what I have now, accompanied with bad headaches. More specific info about what this is and what it does can be found over here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keratoconus
It's going to be some time before my vision can be corrected. Sometime in the next few months they will be performing a procedure called cross-linking; explained better than I can do here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross-linking_(surgery) and then fitting me with special lenses. What this will do, is halt the disease's progression and eventually improving vision. If this does not work and the condition proceeds to get progressively worse, I will need a corneal transplant.
However, while my condition is not in its advanced stages, it still puts a dent in my daily activities. Currently, I have font sizes set to 20 pt - 25 pt on my PC just so I can read without having to squint much to make out a damn thing, as anything lower than that is nothing more than an amaglam of a blurred, ghosted mess. Drawing is however not impossible, but it has and it is going to become slow.
This will certainly affect my productivity and commission turnarounds. I'm going to need time to adjust and figure out how to draw in this condition, during the treatment and during the adjustment period after the treatment. Current commissions will be finished and I intend to do the same with any future commissions I take on, whenever that will be. All I ask for is a little understanding and patience regarding this matter.
Figured I'd give the heads up the soonest I could. I cannot deny that I am really bummed out about this, but hopefully soon I'll come to terms with it and try to adapt.
C'est la vie.

Happy New Years; Reflections and Goals
Posted 13 years ago2012 is over and the new year's finally here, so happy new year to each and every single one of you.
The past year had its ups and downs. It wasn't the best year but neither was it a bad year; good things have happened that I am very grateful for. I may not have accomplished all that I wanted to in 2012, I may have had a lot of awful days, but I am still more than grateful for all the little good things that happened.
I am grateful for the time I've spent with my friends, who are all fantastic people. You guys know who you are, all of you are amazing and I hope we get to spend many more years together. Even despite my presence being rather sporadic, I am more than thankful and happy to have you as my friends, to have your support and all those times we've spent together - both good and bad, happy and sad. So to each and every one of you, thank you for being such great friends and individuals alike!
The above holds true for all the new people I've met and formed friendships with over the previous year. I hope that we can spend many more years getting to know each other better and having many more adventures in the future!
Art related matters; I have definitely improved a lot in the last months of 2012. Some of you may have known that during the last half of 2011 and the first half of 2012 my creativity, motivation and passion have taken a sharp nosedive into the ocean. I have spent a good half of the year struggling with creative burn-out, a story that I will not dwell upon because it's all gone and in the past where it should be, but that's not to say that I will ignore it entirely. What I have learnt from that critical period, I will harness in order to avoid falling into the same dreary situation again. In retrospect, I owe someone greatly for helping me out of that burn-out and rekindling my creative passion. You know who you are, if you're reading this. I certainly couldn't have done it without you. <3
I have some pretty big plans for the new year. Plans and goals that will require hell of a lot of effort on my part to accomplish. I've spent the past six years of my life falling in and out of the same vicious cycle that has resulted in going back to square one, every time. That is, a situation I have never at all been happy with. A situation I know that if it progresses any longer, I will remain unhappy for the rest of my life. It's horrifying to think about and as such this year I am breaking that cycle. For too long, I have gone by what my family has been telling me to do. Nothing good ever came out of that.
This year, I'm going to work very hard to save up all I can to move out of the Middle East and attend a good college. My last college did not give me the education I needed in addition to fucking me out of a bachelors degree and I know for certain that I deserve better than that. God knows how long it's going to take for me to accomplish that, but I am definitely going to do everything I can to get to that point.
I've already taken the first steps toward that, too.
Currently, I am waiting to hear back from a local company to set up an interview for a character designer/background artist position. I've been quite nervous about this for a while now, but I really do hope I get the job - provided the pay's good enough and all that!
That's not to say that I'm going to stop taking commissions either - they have been rather slow but as soon as I'm done with the two that are currently on my plate, I'm going to open up for a couple more slots so for those who are interested, keep an eye out on that!
Major goal aside, I have a number of little goals I strive to accomplish this year. I will not go into a lot of detail regarding those, but some of the important ones include improving myself personally and professionally, as a person and as an artist as well as pushing myself to learn and tackle new things and build up new hobbies like I used to love doing so many years ago. :)
So with that, here's to a new, better year. Here's to the start of many new experiences and adventures to come. <3

Hiatus.
Posted 13 years agoAs some of you may know,
and I are no longer together. Both of our lives being thrown in disarray in addition to distance and stress had contributed to this.
I truly wish it would've worked out but it just wasn't going to. Despite this, I still care deeply about him and I hope that we can remain friends.
It will be a while before I can feel alright again. Right now I need some space and as such I will be taking a short, temporarily hiatus from messengers and other internet-related things.
If I am needed for anything important, please feel free to contact me at spotsinik (at) gmail.com. For business related matters (i.e commission matters), please contact me at stereo.commissions (at) gmail.com
Thank you for your understanding,
-S

[Sketch Stream]
Posted 13 years agoBeen pondering this for a while now and I have come to the decision of taking on stream sketches. Which means I will be hosting a stream in a couple hours from now (I will upload a picture and post a journal when the stream's up).
Base price is $20;+$10 for extra character
Add +$5 for color, +$5 for shading
I am going to attempt a "wing-it" approach with these - meaning that I will decide the pose/composition. Reply to this journal with a comment or note me with a visual reference of your character and a theme (one-three words or a sentence for this is fine).
Things to keep in mind:
- I only accept payment through Paypal. Please make sure you have the money on hand before requesting a slot, as I will ask for upfront payment once all is agreed upon.
- I will take a VERY limited number of adult requests.
- No extreme fetishes such as cub, watersports and scat (or anything remotely gross)
- I have the right to turn down a commission if I am uncomfortable with its subject matter. Do not let this dissuade you from approaching me with your idea.
- Additional charges may be incurred depending on the complexity of the concept/character design.
