Back from Vacation Update
Posted a week agoI know only really announced it on Bsky, but I have been away the past week-ish visiting Niagara Falls on a trip with most of my family. The trip was a little last minute, as I had just went and got quite a bit of blood work done before we left.
The trip itself was more a last chance to try to have a good time with family, preceding my mom going into surgery for what we are told is a particularly dangerous hernia operation, they put off doing anything surgery wise on it for over 15 years due to higher risks of complications, and that surgery is now fast approaching on the 12th of September. We are all still hoping for the best, though it is very likely that best case scenario following the surgery, she will be recovering at home unable to lift anything or even use stairs for around 6 months. I may lose a lot of time and resources just having to help more with preparing food or cleaning the next few months. So uploads and work may end up having larger slow periods, it all depends on how things go and if others are able to step up and help out here so I can get work done on the side.
We went to see the newly opened Niagara Takes Flight attraction at Table Rock, then did a lot of walking around the falls, the behind the falls, a majority of the kind of boring tourist-y stuff first. (We live only about 1.5 hours away by car so we've seen the main stuff there plenty of times in the past.) After which we grabbed some food, did the new attraction and took some video of it which was pretty alright, walked a bit behind the Falls and then visited the casino for a lot more aimless roaming around and a tiny bit of humanity gambling.
We stayed at an airbnb the first night, the Americana the second night (mostly to see the indoor water park.)
While enjoying the arcade/waterpark stuff there, I got a call from my doctor about getting a liver ultrasound, which I'm hoping is nothing serious. And after my older sister and her bf left for home, we headed to Great Wolf Lodge for the even bigger indoor waterpark there. I had never actually heard anything about GWL outside of seeing commercials as a kid, but our parents never took us in the past because of how pricey it is, but since it was both back to school week day timing and prices had dropped, my dad deciding he'd be okay with booking at least a one night family room deal. And in the one day we were there, they enjoyed the whole lodge so much, that my mom was begging him into extending the stay an extra night.
Having never gotten to experience it as a kid, it felt a little like walking into a time capsule of what could have been. Seeing all the kids running around doing the various activities and story time, interactive wand games in the lobby, the arcade, indoor/outdoor mini golf, bowling, laser tag, I would have been in wolf themed paradise back then. I loved it all. The small wolf statue outside the gift shop had a different change of clothes on each day and when we were heading out they were wearing a rainbow poncho. The "pack"(staff) all howl in the mornings as their daily routine work chant if you were up early enough to see them.
On Saturday morning, we had to pack up briefly to check out, because there was a lot more guests coming in for the weekend, but staff helped us secure another room at the opposite end of the building, letting us get in some more waterpark time while waiting for a text confirmation of the new room number to drop the stuff off in. We mostly just stuck to enjoying the water park slides/hot tubs/lazy river, I did a bit of the MagiQuest stuff with my younger sister since I picked up the paw pass anyway for the plush and the ears, making sure to pick up an extra piece of wolf costume every so often from the gift shop for the experience of getting slightly more wolf-like the longer we were there. (And also a donkey plush.)
My mom was suffering quite a bit from headaches/migraines and general pain near the end last night since she is supposed to avoid taking certain medications/vitamins & supplements before the surgery date. So we couldn't do anything too loud or bright in the room to avoid disturbing her. The previous night I did get some quiet time to draw on iPad while fam left to do stuff downtown.
On Sunday, we did a last walk around the lodge after checking out and packing up the van, seeing the other parts of the building and outdoor golf we didn't get around to doing. We were going to do laser tag but nobody was around to play a game since the water park of the lodge was closing at 4pm so everyone was getting in one last swim. We grabbed a snack and took a last look around the trading post, before we finally took some farewell pictures and headed out to last minute sightseeing in the area with the attractions and Go-karts. And ended with early dinner at Mamma Mia's before heading home.
So now for the time being, I will be recouping a bit from all the trip stuff. I need to do some sketch streams for this week to make up for all the time I was gone. If you have an upgrade in progress and wish to request an invoice on it feel free to poke me in private, most in queue for upgrade are already started on or in progress in some form.
Expect wheel streams all week. I was holding off posting so I could get some pictures sorted out, but I may just do a big catch-up upload dump soon so I'm not busy with checking art properly uploads everyday. (I wish it was available as a mobile/iPad app instead of just pc.)
Thankyou for reading.
P.S: AwooOOooOOoo

Happy Canada Day 2025 + Bday Stream Schedule
Posted 2 months ago🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Happy Canada day to all my neighbouring canucks!
Go have ice cream, hide and protect all dogs from scary fireworks and pet some cute donkeys (if available).
I will be holding my annual Birthday stream tomorrow morning since my sleep is drifting into the early hours. And may take an afternoon nap and resume in the evening. My sleep cycles have been very broken and weird lately so I'll aim for a 10am EST stream and try to see if I can go all day. Hope to see you guys there!
My self imposed stream goal this year is to make stream assets (eg: pngtuber stuff) but if it gives me issues, I may just finish more of my steeve sticker pack to publish. All are welcome to hang out and chat and throw silly ideas for stuff to improve the stream at me. Things have been crazy busy while I try to physical move a bunch of mess this week so I can dismantle and replace my art desk in the very near future.
Regular wheel sketch streams will likely resume next week at the earliest, thanky all for your patience.

I took an impromptu break, sorry
Posted 3 months agoAll the uploads I was intending to prep and post throughout the month kinda just sat and have still been sitting in postybirb waiting to be formatted/tagged properly.
This month has been physically kind of hellish for me, being back on the higher dosage of the medication makes things a bit dizzy and with all the stormy weather/heat waves the past few weeks, I've just been sleeping and sleeping and sleeping and sleeping, and kind of eating very poorly but trying to keep at least one meal a day in me.
Leftover from last month, I still have (2) more donks finished, (3) donkey sketch projects in a sketchy state (still back and forth discussing edits to some of them). As well as (3) actively being shaded, another (1) almost done actively being ink/coloured, and (3) on hold/queued for being inked and/or coloured. (Total of 10 donks in progress)[Only 4/10 are invoiced and paid.]
The [4] other non-donkey projects in the active paid queue have been gradually getting a bit of work done here and there. Most shaded/coloured stuff is between 75-90% done. But I will have to put things on hold to make sure I get some major comic work done on the 4-page/multi-pose sequences. So I may forego doing other stuff mid July while I work on them.
The last few weeks have mostly been spent in a cycle of waking up late, barely getting a meal in, then staying up all night watching movies/friend streams, barely sleeping all morning and then waking up late again. So I'm very behind on Picarto streams and have been trying to motivate myself to get back to it. The constant flow of bad news lately just keeps beating me while I'm down.
As I posted on Bluesky/Discord the other day, I found out my grandparents last surviving cat named Garfield, had to be put down, he was old, blind and in pain so we knew he didn't have much time left, but it did feel sudden to get the news that he had just passed the other day, with no real chance to see him one last time. (He was the friendliest and generally everyone's favourite, and my grandpa was extremely close with him.) I only got to see him generally twice a year since they live 3 hours away. But he made the trips bearable during dysfunctional/melodramatic family holidays. Rest in peace. <3
I'm still not sure what kind of mood/state I'll be in next week for when I do try to bday stream. I'm trying to motivate myself out of a bit of burnout period before it starts to affect me negatively financially.
I would like to plan out a better PNG tuber setup or at least experiment more with different png tuber programs and get ideas of how to go about making a flashier more "Steeve" kind of animated one.
If any of you guys have any examples or tips I'm open to chatting about it at length with somebody sometime who is more familiar with that kind of stuff. I always feel a bit overwhelmed about not having free time to really explore or figure out how to do fun stream layout stuff since I tend to have bad executive function disorder and can't do more than one thing at a time. So I find I'm always juggling either getting just one thing done a day or just losing the day to socializing.
I'm hoping that if I clear up that current queue stuff it'll start to ease the pressure a bit so I can work on my personal stuff a bit more in the future. I made a decent chunk of progress in the last year of clearing up some major ones that were giving me issues, so even if things are slow, I'm making progress. And that's what counts.
Also I need magically freeze time so I can spend like a week dismantling my desk and destroying half the hoarder mess my parents left in the hallway so I can bring in a new longer desk to set up my new PC. (It's been hiding in the box all month so I haven't even gotten to boot it up since it got built. WHO KNOWS WHEN THAT'LL GET DONE. (Please save me.)
See ya next week. I'll try to stream more soon but I'm a dumb doggy so no promises.

The Medical Donkey Computer Update
Posted 3 months agoHello heehawww.
I would like to thank you all for participating in May's Donkey streams. There was a lot of donkeys and I almost couldn't keep up with them all, they started spilling out of the stables, onto the streets and have been growing in number steadily changing everyone in their path.
I'm very behind on posting art here, and I will try to focus on getting the Bunny event stuff from Easter weekend posted first, followed by April sketches and then start rolling out the donkeys. There's like 30 pictures worth of descriptions, alt descriptions, tags and folders to format for here on FA/Bluesky/Telegram/Discord so it will take me a good day or two just to clear all those up, I apologize in advance if they get delayed further! If you got a commission between April and now and wish to help me out by submitting a general description/bsky character limited alt post/and visual impairment description for your sketch then feel free to give me a poke! I won't bite you, rest assured (unless you ask personally)!
Back on Monday (the 26th) I had my year later follow-up colonoscopy to check how things are going since the diagnosis last year. The results weren't significantly improved unfortunately, and so I've been put back on a 10 pills of 5-ASA a day and will have to book a followup appointment to discuss things with the doctor next month. On the upside, I got approved for dental benefits so yippie.
This past Saturday I started on the process of getting a new PC built and ready, it is mostly wired up and ready to go, aside from one case fan that I plan to replace (amazon sent my buddy the wrong fan that didn't match the packaging at all (older model different type entirely), which was unfortunately the not the reverse blade 140mm fan he was going to gift me for the build). We did get it booting into Windows 11, so I need to take some time later in the month to clean up and overhaul my desk situation, I might need to just save up and replace my desk entirely with a real computer desk since I'm still currently using an older discontinued Artist's loft desk from pre-2013. So the new PC will just chill in the box for a bit, I'll need to prep my fonts, extra files and list of installs to move over to the new drives anyway.
The rest of the next few months for me is just gonna be focused on trying to finish work for people. I feel like I keep getting asked to add work to my pile every other day and I need to keep things under control before I start feeling too overwhelmed again and burn out hard. I still haven't figured out what to do for next month's birthday stream but we'll figure it out when we get there I guess.
Thank-you for reading! Will try to get bunnies and donks posted soon! For now if you wish to see things early, hop over to my patreon I guess!

Resumin' Uploads and Mini Updates
Posted 5 months agoI spent a good chunk of Sunday and Monday writing up descriptions for the past 3 months of sketch streams and commission projects, gonna slowly stagger them out at 1-2 a day so I'll have a bit more frequent uploads of things for the rest of the month.
Wednesdays are gonna try to be dedicated sketch wheel streams going forward, so I can keep on top of things a bit more, but I can't promise immediate upgrades to stream sketches as I don't want to build up more queue backlog for the time being. You are always welcome to inquire off stream at a later time.
I still have a lot to do this month and I will probably take the next few days off to clean up and look for receipts and do tax stuff after tomorrow's sketch stream.
That aside, I recently got some unfortunately news and may need to attend a funeral for a local friend's father, around Friday, but I am unsure on the timing details there.
And finally, I'm collecting parts for my new pc build (hopefully before tariffs make stuff stupid expensive) and I'm looking to raise around $2k in funds for that via commissions and such, but I'll likely get hit with a tax bill this year as well so that might set me back a bit but I don't know the extent yet. My part time work search didn't really go anywhere from back in January so I'm still just managing as it is, so I set a $2k CAD Ko-fi goal for remaining pc parts in case anyone can spare a few shinies to help out, https://ko-fi.com/steeveart.
Alternatively if you're looking more to directly support the cause I've got an amazon wishlist of some parts I am aiming to get: https://www.amazon.ca/hz/wishlist/l.....?ref_=wl_share
Gonna be uploading a lot and hopefully at minimum doing a full donkey week next month if I'm able. But gonna see how spring goes with my medical stuff in May.
Edit: Also updated an older Monkey tf sketch in the gallery so its now coloured Check it out here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/48288444/

Furnal Equinox 2025 - Full Con Recap Journal
Posted 6 months agoBig summary of FE 2025 droppin' in!
Had a blast seeing everybody who was there! Got to go have some food with a few peeps, and attend some panels/stuff. Kinda wish I could go back in time and re-experience more of the panels and game stuff that we missed at the con while catching the Looney Tunes movie and doing general walking/subway/mall stuff around Toronto. But there's always next year.
After the initial afternoon train ride, I met up with the boyf
darcin7 at union station, and we had a walk over to the hotel and checked in, registered for the con (we both went sponsor this year to skip the big lines and make it easier) and got settled into the hotel, before going to the room I grabbed sponsor stuff early to avoid the large lines while Darsen waited in elevator con, and then I was left in elevator con line alone panicked because I did not know our floor or room number yet and the WIFI was spotty and I wasn't getting Darsen's messages. As I inched closer to the elevator, just in the nick of time the internet reconnected and I got the info as I sweated cartoonish bullets. After that we smoothly unpacked, set up the switch dock stuff and had some chill time.
We then headed out to union to scout out some quick dinner. Eventually we grabbed a bite from a Shake Shack and hung out at the union food court for a bit of that Thursday evening as we met with
hardhatninja,
alphazeron and
i8cherrypie. As we all headed back to the hotel, we grabbed some food supplies for the con at a nearby Longo's and parted ways. Dem (hardhatninja) popped by our room later that night to do some rounds of Smash Ultimate, and I got in a little bit of ipad work.
On Friday morning Darsen met up with
cappuccino at reg as they got ready to do artist alley and got unpacked in the hotel. We then went to catch the tail end of the opening ceremonies, grabbed some Tim's, and had a walk around the con while waiting for sponsor early access dealer den to open. Things were still getting sorted out at a few booths, so Darsen waited in line for his stuff while I did a walk around and browsed the already prepared booths a bit. After which we walked around together and grabbed some swag, then departed to check out the panel rooms a bit. We caught a little of the tail end of the Corgicam's vtuber panel while I made plans to meet up with Tiggs and Diz for lunch.
Later we hung out at Swiss Chalet with
lonetiggs,
dizfoley, and
bcbreakaway where Diz proceeded to chug gallons Swiss Chalet sauce from a tube connected to their main supply while the staff all screamed in horror. We had a pleasant meal otherwise.
We split up with them as they went to get some Beavertails (the pastry), as we had to run up to the room to prepare to head downtown for the movie. We ended up taking a Lyft that narrowly got us to the theatre around 6:55pm, hurrying up escalators just in time for the 6:50pm showing while the preview trailers still rolled. On the way back from the movie, the food places at the mall were already closed but we spotted an Arcanine plush in the closing Treehouse Toys store. We planned to return there the next day and took the subway back, but we'd unfortunately missed most panels like cutthroat artist, the 3ds streetpass meet and monster hunter boardgame being preoccupied by the movie adventure. We had gone to the hotel bar to sit down and grab a bite, but at that point I was falling asleep and was just too tired to eat and headed back up to the room early. Darsen finished up his food and joined me later, and we ended up spending the rest of the evening resting/relaxing.
On Saturday, me and Darsen went to pick up Pokemon plushies and check out the mall a bit to browse, the ice cream place we'd went to in September had sadly closed and been replaced so we headed back on the subway and on the way back sat down for a meal at Kinton Ramen with Ron -
cappuccino, Priscilla -
priscillasheep, Selis -
selissculpts, Tolerain -
misstakemushroom, and
fouzoul, afterwards we headed back to the con and went with Ron to attend the Inflatable Monster Beasts panel where we bumped into Dem again and took a bunch of pictures with all the various puffed up beasts. Afterwards, me and Darsen went to check if anyone was in the Richmond Sketch Hall (barely anyone was in here all con every time we checked) and after finding it mostly quiet we went back to the two dealer dens for a moment and split up while did another coffee run for Ron. I went and said hellos to
teaselbone and grab some prints, as we spoke a wild large green
duncan loomed behind me poking a bit at my badge and I snagged a pic of the Roo. Also went and poked
catmonkshiro and also said hi to a gooey
aver-art for
derricksoderberg. Leaving shortly thereafter to meet up again with Darsen as we went downstairs and quietly sat down a bit late at the TF Tuesday Podcast hosted by
Zilepo and
K-Libra, bumping into Tiggs there coming in late after us. Unfortunately we had to dip out for the rest of it because we had to put away some stuff in the room and figure out dinner plans. We caught a bit of the tail end of Teaselbone's Freelance panel and got to see some shading tips and Q/A on his art process which was fun, I wanted to catch the start of it but we had ended up being asked to watch someone's stuff when we sat down in the mostly empty Sketch Hall at Dockside 4 and they didn't return for at least 15-20 minutes as the room filled up with other artists. Drew a small godzilla style kaiju in a random person's sketchbook that was left out on the table with a note and I also doodled a quick hypno sketch for Darsen, we then said hello to
fireboy224 who came by to see me and then we spent the rest of the evening climbing stairs up to the 15th floor because the elevator line was packed and we were so tired from the climb that we napped a bit early, got hotel room service pizza. My legs were to jello to go back down and do any of the night panels so we just stayed in bed and played small board games we packed with our stuff (one of which was missing a piece weirdly despite being freshly opened and unused.)
It was finally Sunday and our final day of con together, and the three of us went down after packing our stuff up for noon checkout and grabbed morning cafe drinks, before me and Darsen took one last look at the Dealer Dens to get any last minute stuff. We ran into the StarFox cosplayer there and got a pictures with them, as well as Tiggs and Dem again shortly after. I decided the rest of that day would be spent drawing in the Dockside 4 Sketch Room all Sunday until the TF Meet/Greet,
foxlightning came by in suit around noon with their mate
xx2tailsxx dm'ing me that they there, we waved them both over and took some pics and chatted for a bit. Slowly more artists/friends trickled into the room to draw. But it was close to Darsen's departure time so I went up with him to stay our bittersweet goodbyes with lots of blown kisses and hand heart gestures and sad puppies being crushed into tear dust and scattered into the wind. I then headed back down to the sketch room full of artists where a suspicious blue dog named "Barkley" came by and sat down to say hello again while heavily complimenting the inks I was working on for Tiggs. (Totally not a tiger in disguise.)
At the TF Meet and Greet I initially sat down at a table with a few others, including
gabrielmoon (in full horse suit) and everyone got shuffled around to various tables to chat about various TF topics. At the feral table I don't recall everyone who was there but I saw FoxLightning, Diz, Tiggs, and a few others were there as we went around the table and introduced ourselves figuring out what kind of species TFs each of us prefer. I shared a bit of my art and after a bit of chat moved over to the Pokemon TF table to meet some fresh faces, I got to say hello and chat a bit with
sagimewtwo, StormyFennec, happyshiba and a few others. Near the end of the meet I moved back over to the centre table again to say hi again to
forepawz, Diz & Zilepo and Taya(Fireboy224). (If you were there at the meet or anywhere else at the con and said hello and I missed your handle here let me know and I'll edit you in!)
Returning to the sketch room, I bumped into TowerHyena (
verace) who I'd seen previously at FE2019 who doodled away in my sketchbook once again.
i8cherrypie sat next to me to work in their own sketchbook while more artists shuffled in and filled the room. I got up a bit to walk around and see some of the other artists work, said hellos to
curious~red~fox &
theother-side, GnastyStuff and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head, before I sat back down and got my sketchbook doodled in by critterdome shortly before my ride arrived to pick me up from the hotel. I got very lucky and got to say goodbye in person and give a hug to Ron(cappuccino) before heading out and loading my stuff to finally head home. And thus FE2025 came to a close.
All in all it was a very wonderful con experience, and I didn't even get super con sick this time, or have IBD issues the whole weekend, and my only regret is that I didn't get to draw more for people because the sketch room situation was so weird this year. (I swear just pick a double panel sized room and let everybody use that instead. Having two different rooms at two different ends of the con was confusing and felt like a huge afterthought. My other criticism is that the 18+ dealer den had no adult artist alley set up despite having ample space for one which was just weird.) It was very lovely meeting everyone and getting to put faces to some of your names, even if I never saw some of you out of suit. Hoping I can manage to get a room for next year and spend more time actually doing game activities and artist alley stuff next time. (I gotta get some stickers and business cards designed and printed for it though.
P.S: I posted picks of dealer den stuff and links to artists from the con I also ran into there on bsky here if you're curious of what we picked up: https://bsky.app/profile/stickmanww...../3ll7rsm3clc2x

FE 2025 - Packing and Prepping
Posted 6 months agoToday I am gonna be all busy tidying up and early prepping for the convention. Gonna be at Furnal Equinox in Toronto at the con all weekend, roomin' with
darcin7 and
cappuccino~
I didn't really plan ahead and sign up for the Artist Alley, but I will be doodling a bunch both digital and traditional and am generally available for sketchbook trades and chatting while chilling around in the lounge areas. If an alley spot is available I may try to get my name in and try for a first time but I won't stress over it.
Hope to see some of you there! Unfortunate that even basic registration is now completely sold out, but it is a Kaiju themed con during Macro March so I wonder if that's why it's packed this year.
I finally put in my passport application as well, so if any friends want to plan a get together for a USA con down the road, let me know! I know things are rough right now for travel with the current mess of trade wars and bad plane news. But we can always plan for the future.
A lot of the more rough stuff has been going on the last few weeks with family, but things are on the mend a bit and I am still working everyday on stuff. I have a lot of backlog to upload here but it will have to wait until post con, since I haven't written up any descriptions or tags yet. I may try to prep that stuff on my ipad while I'm bored on the train.
I will do more sketch streams and contact forms/update my forms post con. Gonna be mainly focused on more catch up and taxes for April, then have another colonoscopy in May to see if the meds are helping. Once I've finished some specific projects that have some personal deadlines, I'll take a month to do an event sketch stream. I'd love to do Donk Days month again this year, but I've been kind of teasing the idea in my head of planning for a different species theme'd tf month.
Also been trying to save for a new computer right now before anything big starts to fail on my current rig, been needing to update my CPU/GPU since it's close to 8 years old now and starting to show it's age. Future stream commissions will mainly go toward this goal, but if anyone is able to assist, I'd appreciate any help via Paypal/Ko-fi donations my way towards it. > -SteeveArt's KOFI- < My goal is to get something with a more current CPU and either a 9070xt/4080S or comparable gpu before tariff stuff potentially causes price hikes, etc.
Give me a poke if you're gonna be at the con and want to meet up or hang out at all!

Wednesday Wheel Stream 6:00pm ET First Spin
Posted 7 months agoDecember Health/Life Update
Posted 9 months agoHaven’t made an update journal since the September trip so I figure I’ll make a bit of a more complete picture of the last few months here.
I have a separate post I’m working on for the trip w/Darsen itself to share some art and stuff so I won’t go too much into that here, it was a good trip!
Unfortunately, around the start of the trip I had already been showing symptoms of a flare up of my bowel disease problems, I was struggling to afford the medication that month and had decided after 3 months of taking pills that were a bit hard on my body that I’d give things a bit of a break to see how symptoms would re-emerge if I was off it for a period.
For most of September I'd been doing okay, but it was around the day the trip started that minor flare up symptoms began to emerge with general pains and more trips to the bathroom. I don’t know if it was a particular food trigger or just low key stress of not knowing how the trip would go affecting me. But not having the medication around to curb the problems essentially put me at increased risk for problems.
After we got to Toronto, the issue got progressively worse, putting a damper on being able to fully enjoy that portion of the trip, but we still made the most of it. I started feeling lower back pain, likely all the constant= walking and strain but at the mid point of the trip something got me bad, every bowel movement was exactly like the week before I got hospitalized in May, just minus the blood. With a particularly nasty one in the middle of the week.
We didn’t end up going to the hospital there since I didn’t feel things were serious enough to worry about doing tests. Given we wouldn't be there long enough to get my medication sent to Toronto before we'd be gone, we just powered through the rest of the trip. After getting home from it, I got really sick. All October I was constantly coughing and would frequently experience nausea and dry heaving, I resumed my medication but it wasn't alleviating symptoms like before. As the weeks went on it was clear I had caught some kind of bacterial infection similar to what they had to clear up with antibiotics at the hospital, to a lesser degree. I never got a confirmation on it but symptoms matched giardia, aka “beaver fever” which is a pretty common problem that could come from anywhere: drinking tainted water, poor food handling, or under cooked meat, etc. It took about 6-7 weeks for that to start clearing up, which over those weeks having come back from the trip I was physically drained and mentally defeated.
My family had been very absent during all of this, they ignored and treated me like I wasn't even there. On arriving back my older sister was already self admitted to the mental institution, going through another mental health crisis, my grandmother was hospitalized and very sick. And my parents seemed to be suffering from a cognitive decline all month, to the point where my own mom didn’t remember that I've worn glasses for the past 3 years when she'd repeatedly seen me wearing them every time we've been out doing errands all that month. Feeling isolated and ill ultimately made eating healthy and keeping on my medication schedule very difficult, since family stopped looking after themselves entirely over the rest of the month and let all the messes pile up.
The stress from it all continued to drain on me, and as the month went on I finally got the MRI I’ve had an appointment for since June. I ended up throwing up during when I had to chug around 1.5 litres of cold water mixed with metamusil. It was even more frustrating that the MRI results came out obscured and blurry because they made me do small intestine scans on my stomach where I couldn’t lay completely still comfortably at such an awkward angle while holding breaths. After around mid November, I finally got to see my specialist and the giardia infection had mostly cleared up. I've been back on the medication and have been taking supplements for iron and b12 deficiency. So I've been doing significantly better since then, I've just needed to sorely catch up on taking new commissions and finishing the older ones.
Before the trip I had intended to just finish that dog sequence, knock out more of the queue and then re-evaluate prices and do stream sketches from there, but being so tired and not having streamed in awhile had put me off streaming a bit. Mostly because of tablet and technical issues that kept returning while trying to set things up. So I've started doing forms on a more daily basis, I may stream the forms occasionally but for now I just need a bit of a break from streams since family hasn't been doing well in general and it's hard for me to stream consistently without interruptions.
To wrap things up, I wish you all a merry holiday and happy new year if I don't post a journal around then. I'm getting back to things so once I'm -caught up- financially and with the queue, I'll try to start drawing more for myself again. I have been looking into a finding part time job, just for a more consistent side income source, but so far have yet to hear anything back.
Hope you all are well and stay healthy!

September Updates
Posted a year agoHey guys, just wanted to pop in and give a general update on how things are going.
I know I haven’t been streaming as much as I used to the past few months, but I’m still chugging away on some larger pictures daily. I would ideally love to have some more sketch streams going into October, since this latter chunk of September is going to largely be my real vacation.
On the 21st to the 28th, my boyfriend is flying in from Seattle so I’ll be mostly gone that week travelling around Toronto together and actually taking a break. I’m pretty nervous about the whole thing in general, half because of how hectic traffic can be there and how easy it is to get lost trying to find your way around, the other half fearing what my family will potentially try to do in my room while I'm gone. But here’s hoping it goes smoothly!
This past month my sleep schedule has been all over the place, which can largely be attributed to both stress from a broken A/C unit (it’s fixed now), and dealing with a sudden army of cockroaches that have started appearing out of nowhere in the kitchen after the family next door threw a large party a month or two back. My family has been going about fighting them in really bizarre ways and basically tore apart our kitchen trying to spray everything and setting traps trying to fight back. It's ultimately been making it that much harder for me to actually cook and eat healthy regularly unfortunately. :\
Nonetheless, I spent a good chunk of early September going through some old art files and renaming them by file creation date then a rough title, trying to create a more complete archive of my old trove of works in progress. It’s literally thousands of files to sort through though and none of them are posted anywhere online. The art ranges from my old high school really bad cringe art to really sketchy practice stuff and work in progress TF comics that have been sitting on my drives for basically forever. I have to go through and rename every single one and save it as a separate PNG to put in an archive to share though. So the general progress on that project has been much slower.
In terms of art projects in progress, my queue has been still hovering around 8-9 paid in progress things, with a few other queued up things waiting to get started after those start to clear up. At the moment I am currently inking another short dog sequence that may get posted fairly soon. I'm hovering around 60-80% done on a lot of the shaded images and I'm a little bummed I didn't get the other 3 donkey pics shaded fully to post with the others before August ended. Those will likely get finished sometime in October if I stay on track after vacationing. My real goal I’m still aiming for is to just clear up everything I owe and put a pause on taking on more than two things at a time so I can stay more focused and finish/post some more personal stuff much faster again.
My goal is still to reach a point where I'm a bit better off and can afford more time to relax and work on my personal projects more freely. I hope someday soon I can ease up on commissions make some more ambitious art/comics/interactive stuff for everyone to enjoy. I sincerely appreciate everyone who currently supports or has supported my work through commissions/ the patreon/ and ko-fi in the past. I probably wouldn’t be able to afford time to draw a fraction of what I do if it weren’t for you all. Thank you.
That's all for now, I shall return later. *vanishes in a puff of smoke*

Hi (No Subject)
Posted a year agoTaking a break today from never-ending shading/sketching to upload a few things and say hello. How are you all doing?
I'd love any feedback from you guys regarding future commissions, anything I could do to improve the process or streamline communication things a bit?
Or any just questions regarding wheels and streams and projects. Celebrating Dogust unfortunately might not be very timely or feasible this year after everything that's been going on in my life, but I've been a bit hesitant of doing excessive event stuff because all it causes is fomo and I don't wanna stress people out with feeling like they need to get in on something that's limited like that.
So yeah, thoughts? Or anything you'd particularly wanna see more of from me personally?

Old obscure TF Media: Seriously Weird

Mental Break
Posted a year agoI've been kind of a mess lately in both the gaming addiction (Elden Ring DLC) and physical ill/lack of sleep sense lately from all the weather, so I haven't really been able to push past a posting block. I still have so much left to do so I can post and finish the donkey stuff/bday doodles/older commissions.
I am slowly crawling out of it but I expect things to be a bit slow for another week. I have fortunately made big progress on older work, and have been half doodling more rough comic-y style work to practice again but it's all scribble and my head is not focused in an art sense right now.
If I do stream again this month, I may do 2 more donkey streams since we didn't do a full -week- but keeping up with demand for upgrades isn't really feasible for me right now, so I'd only take sketches for the time being.

Donkey Sketch Event Saturday - 4pm First Spin
Posted a year agoDonkey Sketch Event -Resumes Sunday/Monday- 2 or 3 PM EST
Posted a year agoPreppin' to do some Donkey theme'd sketch wheels tonight. May continue doin' em for a few days and aim for a Donk-week situation.
If you're looking to get one, regular sketch prices and rules apply which are found below my picarto stream! I haven't really updated prices like I said I would around April, mostly cause I was hospitalized and have just been completely exhausted from appointments and diagnosis stuff.
I will probably start off with a shorter stream and only do one or two tonight, and then spend the rest of the evening updating things that I have put off uploading everywhere. (You may have seen a few posted elsewhere.)
If you're waiting on a commission update for a coloured piece/queue thing, I will get back to those once I am caught up bills wise, still need to raise some funds for the next 2 months of medication for colon inflammation at minimum, plus pay off a new phone since my old one was 6 years old.
Rules and regular sketch wheel info applies, found below the stream window (must browse as full site to see if on mobile):

Beware, I live! RUN, Coward. I am Sinistar!
Posted a year agoIt's been about a week since I last updated on the healthcare situation so here's a small update.
All week I've been taking antibiotics, and got the call on Monday that my colonoscopy is scheduled for the 27th around 10:45am. So most of this week has been resting, taking meds, eating small meals avoiding calcium and iron and UV rays, etc.
Around the mid week, I started getting a bad allergy rash that's spread to cover my whole body. Which I think is from the latter antibiotic that they started me on later just before I was discharged, the Ciprofloxacin. I was instructed to stop since I only had 2 pills left and the rash has only worsened in the last day or two. I've taken a few benadryl to help with the itchyness.
Besides that I've just been on hold on the phone with doctors and nurses all week, going out to pick up allowed diet foods/prescription meds and taking it easy this week. This weekend I have to do the prep for the colonoscopy so after today I can't have solid foods till after Monday.
They said that the rash shouldn't affect the procedure and it would continue as scheduled since I'm not having any breathing or emergency issues with it.
~~~~~~~~~~
On the other side of things, this past week was slightly turbulent with my older sister. She ran off after an argument because she had been making bad financial decisions, and we were concerned she'd stopped taking her medications (mainly for treating Bipolar disorder, dis-associative identity disorder, manic depression, etc). We found she had reconnected downtown with the same creepy abusive older man she was in a short relationship with in 2017. We suspect back then that he was drugging and groomed/abused her, which is what led to her attempting to flee to British Columbia on a plane back then to get as far away from him as possible. So it was deeply upsetting to all of us that she was in contact with him again and was potentially going to put us through a repeat of those incidents.
She ended up going to the crisis shelter after a fight with my dad who was upset about her lying, and the social worker in charge of her came by and picked up her meds. We had a long talk with her social worker over the phone about the abuser in general. And I'm hoping that her support workers are able to work things out with her and keep her on her meds. It has been very stressful to when I need to focus on recovery though.
All things said, I've been otherwise okay aside from just very sleepy from all the meds lately. I spent the last few days mostly on my phone in bed, clearing out notifications on FA. WHICH I BROUGHT DOWN TO ZERO TODAY WOOOO. I nuked the final picture in my messages and it was the last one I faved. (The Swatcher pic) And aside from that I've been organizing my art files a bit and doing a little bit of blocking in colours here and there in bed.
I will attempt to stream next week probably starting Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on how the colonoscopy goes and what happens during it. Gonna continue to take it easy this weekend so I can focus on the timings for taking meds for prep and such.
Thanks for reading!
