Six year recap
Posted 2 years agoWow, so it's been six whole years since I've last been on Furaffinity? Feels like it's been longer!
Let's see... I married the man I was dating. We moved (but not very far), adopted a puppy. Then our bank account got compromised (PROTIP, if your prospective employer needs to access your bank account, that should throw up MASSIVE red flags) (also, don't use a paycheck advance system), we got another roommate (who turned out to be a bigger burden than he was really worth. F*ck you, Dave), then our car broke (I mean, literally. A front wheel snapped off). We got a kitty (well, we got two, but we gave one away), Mom ah... passed away.... yeah even three and a half years later it still stings, and now we're here in 2024.
We also attended Anthrocon back in '18, where the Dack full suit in all its glory debuted... it's just too bad I don't have any photos of the full Dack Version 1 in his entirety now that I've retired him. Here's to the eventual photos of Dack the Fox V2.

Moving!
Posted 8 years agoThe time has come.
As of this Saturday, I am moving in with some friends nearby.
It scares me a little, leaving the nest, but I gotta grow up, I gotta make my own mistakes, be my own fox and move on with my life. If I've learned anything over the past year, it's that everybody has to stretch their wings at some point, and fly.

Anthrocon
Posted 8 years agoDespite of MONTHS of planning (I had a vacation week set aside- one which I had to schedule in duplicate back in December) I will NOT be attending Anthrocon 2017.
Something came up, and I am now unable to attend.

Prepared for the future!
Posted 8 years agoSo I got my badges (We Don't Need No Steenkin' Badges!) for AnthrOhio (loosely based on the "Shut up and take my money!" Meme from Futurama) and Fur Reality (blatantly based on Fallout 4's marketing line "Prepared for the future!").
I chose to theme the AO badge after Futurama due to how perfectly it fit with the con's retro-future "Furs of tomorrow!" Theme (hell, I actually planned to sorta-cosplay as Planet Express's own temporally-displaced delivery man, Phillip J Fry way back when the theme was announced over a year ago) though due to not knowing whether I would be attending AO2017 or not, I shelved the idea until everything lined up.
The Fallout theming was picked for FR because that's basically how It was presented when the FR2017 theme "The World After" was announced last October. They played the Inkspots "I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire" over a teaser image featuring a ruined cityscape. Could it get any more obvious it's supposed to be Fallout than that? Almost ready for it, too. I've got the Vault Suit costume I bought last year at Spirit Halloween, a gun-belt with many pouches and even a holster for a NERF pistol. All I really need is a Pip-Boy, and that's proving to be a real pain in the ass because most of the replica Pip-Boys from the Fallout 4: Pip-Boy Edition are going for stupid stupid prices on the secondary market. I'd buy one if I could get it for a reasonable price. $100+ isn't even close to reasonable for what amounts to a cell phone case.

I'm not dead (AKA recent events)
Posted 9 years agoJust want to say I'm not dead. I've just been incredibly busy.
I work at a grocery store and we're already understaffed, so I've been working, A LOT (From Thanksgiving clear through new years is the busiest time of the year at grocery stores and our idiot hiring manager was obviously not privvy to this.... Not to mention the dubious decision the NCAA had to set the goddamn Fiesta Bowl on New Years).
Additionally, I got a boyfriend over the holidays. Fantastic guy, just as busy at his workplace (a Pizzeria) as I am at mine and a HELL of a kisser. My breakup with my Ex-"Boyfriend" went a lot smoother than I thought it would (I thought it would end in tears or... something much worse) My brother doesn't like that I refer to him as my "Boyfriend", doesn't think it possible 2 men can love one-another. I know otherwise.
Haven't had the creative spark recently (aside from my AnthrOhio badge, which I'll scan and post in due time)
