So my paw is doing better. Still hurts from time to time, but that's only because I work with it. Often. At least I have the day off to rest it and attempt to draw some more to work it back into commission, i have to have this darn paw back in working order soon for the current commission and future commissions.

So how has everybody been doing!? At least my FA buddies, the ones on my list and all that. Been good here, just been working and working out in the gym at my apartments. Been feeling really good about it, and the more you do the better you feel! Just like beans!

Yea this squirrel has had two cups of coffee today and they both have been super duper strong lol I mean like Denny's strong. Like no matter how you mask it, you can still taste that it is strong coffee lol

When it comes to drawing, I have been doing some sketches and random mini comics, not a whole lot because I've been doing lots of working. Squirrels and retail shouldn't mix but it does! Lol

Finally going to re-locate to a bigger apartment, and boy am I nervous and excited about it! I can't wait! I mean, being a squirrel and all, I'm already beginning the smaller packing, so we won't have to worry about doing it all in one day, or two days, or even a few hours. I'm a procrastinating squirrel, real bad about it, but in this case, our window of twiddling our thumbs is small, so we can't afford to procrastinate, although the urge to do so is great lmao.

Squirrel will have a second floor balcony to do her drawings and stuff on if she wishes to be outdoors. That's a big, big plus!

Can't wait because these kids playing around like their wild animals is getting on my nerves. I don't want to stick around and risk seeing somebody come barreling down that street at 30mph and accidentally hit a child who's parent isn't watching them. Making me real nervous.

Decided to put the laptop on my drafting table, so I have a window seat to seeing these kids run around screaming. No, there's no nearby park within unsupervised range of these kids to just walk to, so where else do they have to play but in the damn street? *Shakes her head*;;;

Listening to Scooter's new album, and drawing for a commission. "Bigroom Blitz" is becoming one of my new favorite Scooter songs. X3 I love the epic techno part of it (yes I referred it to techno part because I don't know what they call the chorus in a techno song lmao that sounded lame), makes me want to jig!

Not feeling the rap part of the song, but eh, what can you do? It's still awesome music! Can't get enough! Anyways, better get back to drawing while I still have the time to do so today. The countdown begins!

Onto lighter topics, I got some new markers and refill ink for my Copic marker (one I use often) off of Dickblick.com. A really good site that sells art supplies for cheap. Less than what Hobby Lobby or even Micheal's would sell them at. I got Prismacolor Markers for like... $3.14 each. Better than spending... Oh, around... Six bucks for one marker each. When I first started buying them, they were $2.99 each.

So, I will be drawing a bit more, and hopefully posting up more drawings. But as of right now, gonna get going and get some errands taken care of, look at another complex for possible better deals, and something slightly closer to work, all that fun stuff. Though we like the grounds of this complex, we would like to keep our options slightly more open than what we've possibly settled with now.

Anyways... This squirrel is going to bundle up and get ready to go brace the cold! Lol

Almost 6am and I'm awake with my coffee. Damn customers wanting the stores to stay open on freaking holidays. Had to work Thanksgiving from midnight to 4am into Black Friday. Greedy people... So now, instead of last year our store closing at 6 or 7 on Christmas Eve, poor individuals who close (thankfully I do not) have to stay there until 10pm at night. Thank you greedy customers!! Thanks a lot. Ugh...

So, with the wonky hours there, we open much earlier. Starting tomorrow, our store will be opening at 7am instead of (like today) 8am, or like usual, 9 to 9:30am. Pfff...

Tomorrow is going to suck, although I wouldn't mind opening, because guess what? I close. Each of those days until Christmas. And our store closes at 1:30am. Damn, I hate the holidays working retail. That's the only time I can say it without only meaning it when it comes to customers needing something now, now, now, now. Oh, you have to wait a few extra seconds because I only have two hands and ten fingers? Oh, sorry! Nope, they want what they want NOW.

Won't get into it too deeply because I have to get in the shower now, but damn... It will all speak through my mini comics when I start to post them up. My frustration, and of course goofyness, will show through the comics.

So, I'm grocery shopping with my lioness last night so we could get the whole lot of it out of the way, sleep like rocks, right? We make it to the last grocery store on the trip, and by this point, it's 10pm. Late to be out anywhere, you would think. We were in line, probably one of the cashier's last customers of the night since she was likely to clock out soon, this old lady (who should be in BED by now) approaches and says...

"Can you tell me why there are only two registers open?"

The cashier, who's friendly to boot, looks at the lady and says, "Well, it's nearly ten thirty at night, and most of our cashiers are home,"

I myself wanted to say this...

"Why? To piss off people like you who decided t o come shopping at ten at night! Dur dur dur dee dur!"

Yep, so, that was quite the venture. Gonna take care of some last minute shopping here in a little bit. Went to another grocery store last night and for three days they have 20% off their wine selection, which is a good selection.

Finished the last of my latest commission! Can draw other ideas that are brewing in my head. I didn't while I was doing the commission because I felt it would have been rude to draw and post up stuff while I was supposed to be drawing for someone else. You know? So, now that I'm finished, it's onto drawing the funny ideas!

But first, I'm going to take a walk. Found a funny looking perverse cactus and I wanted to take a picture of it for a friend. I will then post it up on FA once I come back home!

So little time...

So, work has taken over a lot of what I do during the day. Next week I'll be doing a lot of closing rather than opening, so I will have most of the day to dedicate to drawing, and finishing up other drawings that need attention. That should be fun! ...Closing, I mean. I haven't done any closing shifts in a while, I won't be used to it. I'll be used to staying awake during the morning/day/late afternoon, and unwinding toward the end of the evening. Not staying wound up all day lol

It's money, it's hours towards money, so I guess I can't complain, huh? Shouldn't, so I won't.

Anyways, gonna walk a bit to stretch my legs out, and I will be back later to finish drawing some more! :3 I wanna draw Tanya more, really want to draw her more.

I have an itchy spot on my ankle that has been itching since before Friday, and it's really bothering me even with the use of lotion and anti-itch cream. x_X;;;

On a better note, I had a bite for a commission, but as a reminder, I work also, so I may not have the time to get commissions done in a timely manner. Now, to whom I'm doing the commission for, this is not directed to you. So, rest easy. But, its a reminder that real life plays a big part in what goes on paper and when it's done.

Work has been going pretty good, the people as always are aggravating me. But, that comes with the territory when people approach your fitting room and announce like they would like a gold star that they have six or eight articles of clothing. Yea, that takes away MY job, so please hang them up... Thank you. Lol

Other than that... Not entirely anxious about the end of the week, but what can you do, right? Age is a normal thing. ANYWHOOZLEBUTT...

And we have a ton of pictures to show for it. I mean a TON of pictures. My mate almost had to remove a lot of pictures from her memory card during the duration of our trip. Once you take a couple pictures of the ocean, you can't stop with just those few. Like Pringles, once you eat one, you can't just have one. Then the next thing you know, the memory card is all used up, and the can of chips is gone.

Going tomorrow to pick up a friend from the airport, this should be fun! We're going to take the Light Rail, thanks to the suggestion from  Faine, we would have driven the whole way there AND back again and dealt with traffic. Thank you! :3

Well, caught a little cold, so I'm going to get offline now and rest up some more because I work from tomorrow until Wednesday of next week until my next day off. x_x; Ugh... Anyways, ta ta for now!

Heading out of town for the Memorial Day weekend! San Diego! Woo! Never been to California and this is gonna be fun! Taking a little break from my drawing for a few days. Stupid pollen! x_x; Killing my squirrelly sinuses! You would think I'd be used to nature, but that's not the case, sadly... I need to figure out how to get my tablet back up and running, because we had to redo the whole computer, and may have to again next month when my friend comes out to visit. We're going to see if she knows how, and will be willing to change Windows 8 to Windows 7. Why? Because Windows 8 sucks, I don't like it! If I could go with XP I would, I really, really would! So much better in the long run... But, then again, anything is better than this Windows 8 right now. I'm used to it, but I would prefer 7.

And on another note--the antibiotics are done and I can have milk, cheese, sunlight AND coffee! Just finished my first cup of coffee in like... Two weeks, and oh my God... I enjoyed that, I really, really enjoyed that! ^3^

Negotiating plans with another friend who plans on visiting after my mate's friend leaves, and this friend needs the vacation time. Really, truly, really needs it, so I'm changing my mind on negotiations, because she just needs it. So that week will be therapeutic for her, just to get away for a week.

Anyways... I need to get ready, we're gonna go to this local park, and I need to mentally prepare myself to drive on the interstate 10. The 101 isn't anything, Bell road isn't anything out here, but... That interstate--yeeeeea, I don't know. It will be scary for the both of us, but I've conquered the other roads out here, so I can do this! I can do it! Just gotta keep telling myself that. I can do it, I can do it...

Doing some spring cleaning, to get rid of the sweats and such from winter, getting ready for the long three grueling months of Arizona summer. The bed is a mess, and the floor is covered in space bags full of stuff ready to be--for lack of better non-perverse comments--sucked! So, yay, my allergies have been kicking up the past couple days and I got word back that all I have, allergy-wise, is allergens to cat and dog dander, and various plants and shit around here; trees, etc. She didn't get into specifics, buuuut at least I know that there ARE things around here that cause my allergies to go bonkers. So, yea...

On the other note, my antibiotics are done this morning, yay! No more taking nasty pills every day! YAY! Things should go back to normal after today. I also have to take vitamin D supplements which won't be so bad. Probably will just have to stick with taking my usual allergy meds for other allergy attacks, I mean I wasn't hoping that they were going to give me something to help, because everything else that I've tried doesn't do any good. Zyrtec, Allegra-D, etc, etc, nothing seems to really do all that much good but the stuff I take now.

Anyways, gonna get back to cleaning up this mess and some epic space bag sucking!

This squirrel is gassy!! Lol, I know, tmi. BUUUUUUT... With this, I've been bloated, so... Yea. X3;; So bluntly put... I woke up this morning, took my medication, and farted. Never thought I'd be that relieved to hear a poof of air out my darier! Just hope it doesn't happen often at work. XDD

Speaking of work, they trained me in the stock room, hard line. The register up front, vigilance and patience. Then fitting room, more vigilance, and now they're going to train me in returns, thusly... My own judgement. I don't think I trust it...lol

Gassy squirrel out!

I haven't been doing a lot of drawing lately because on the second of April, I was admitted to the hospital due to some vomiting and such, luckily I didn't put up a fight to go, but turns out that I'm healthy as a horse aside from some Gastroenteritis and an infection. For the next nine days I will be on antibiotics, and will be going back to work on Monday.

So, my arms are sore from where the needles were, but that's to be expected. I'm just so glad that work has been so good about this, I really am. My mate said that when she went in on the second, to tell them what's going on, the managers were all so concerned. Made me feel so good to know that everyone around me cares about me so much like they do.

A friend of my mate said if she could she would have changed her flight to this week instead of next month to help take care of me. Which, I don't need necessarily, but I'm compromising with my mate, allowing her to help me here and there until Monday. I love her for it. :3

So, once everything is back on the right track, I'll be hopefully doodling some more! Unless I wish to in bed, but there's the update, so... Take care everybody!

So, I haven't been doing a lot of drawing lately, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of it, slowly. Had my buddy Faine over for a little while, that was loads of fun and we all plan on going to hike Wednesday morning to Camel back mountain. Woo! Hiking! I've always wanted to do that. For a while now I've been itching to see that mountain in action!

Well, gonna go sit by the hot tub for a little while, and sleep early. Gotta work in that morning. Yay... Anyways gonna head out now.

Haven't had a soda in a while, much like writing a journal entry!

Well, update... Couch still busted; but!! ...With my tax return, and my mate's we're going to get a new couch. Well, maybe not NEW, but better than a broken futon. Not saying that her dad's workshop skills aren't great, but I'm getting tired of hiking up the cushion over, and over, and over...

Work called me today... They don't need me in the morning, so I have another day off. In way, I'm glad I get another day off, but in a way it sucks that they "didn't need me" to come in tomorrow. So that means... Two days off in a row! Today and tomorrow. Hopefully next week will be better for hours.

Haven't been doing much in ways of doodling, I need to... This squirrel has been slacking real bad. REAL BAD.

Well, I've had my job almost twelve months now! And the wages for the part timers--only went up about ten cents, so far, but every little bit counts, right? So, that's awesome. Haven't been doing a lot of drawing or even doodling lately. I need to, I get so many drawing ideas from the assumptive customers day in and day out.

So, I should doodle more of these little random funny ideas. Had one this morning, but didn't write it out or even put it on paper. x_x; So, that doesn't help!

Well, one will definitely be drawn out, because... I went health insurance shopping, and the guy I spoke to was less than helpful.

First quote was $300

Asked him if he could take it down, because that's less than what I make bi-weekly

Then he quoted me at $107

Told him, again, that I couldn't afford that

Then he quoted me at $71; well, that was reasonable, but I kept telling him that I was merely shopping around, and wasn't going to make a decision right then. Know what he said after that?

I asked if there was anything less than that, and he said, "Ma'am, do you REALLY think you can do better than that?" My jaw then dropped. Dude, you're there to help me, you said so yourself, and yet you talk like an ass like that? So, I then said, "Likely not." And got the info of the website he was on, up on my web browser so after that, I didn't have any need for it. BUT, it didn't stop there.

I said, "Well, I'm still just shopping around,"

"Well, you either do it here, or go without health insurance. Either way, I can move on,"

My jaw dropped further, all the while getting more angry. Luckily, I wasn't actually shopping for insurance at that point in time. Told him I would get back to it, and he said in a cocky tone, "Okay." and then before hanging up, I said, "Prick,"

What a jerk...

So, that was the highlight of my morning.

So... For months now I've neglected digital artwork because my mate's laptop won't accept my drawing tablet, right? Okay, so... Just today, I notified a friend that it may be a bit longer to work on his reference sheet, when my mate says...

"Why not try it again? It's been updating, who knows? It may surprise you."

And the next thing I know...

"Come over here real quick," I say, "Oh?" She replies. My reply is, "Yeah, just come here a second," After I've just grumped in annoyance. To my surprise, it actually accepted my tablet. So, I'm giving all these looks and thinking, "Well, balls. NOW it decides to work!"

So, I have my tablet back, but in the process, depending on who wants digital artwork, my mate won't have her computer. All is well that ends well, she can always use my Kindle, I suppose lol. So, yup! I got my tablet back, I have my drawing capability back, yay!
