I have been wanting to make a certain comic for a long time. While I was able to get it started, the tough part has been keeping it going—life doesn’t always leave much time when bills need paying. Most of my time goes to commissions, which means the comic often gets pushed aside.
The first chapter has been sitting on Patreon since... aahh god probably this time last year ahaha. And it's driving me crazy that I can't find time to work on it!!

So, I am proposing a solution. >:3

I'm looking for a TF writer for a small paid job as my co-writer, recurring monthly. Info below!

Requirements are:
• Must be able to commit to ~500 words/month for at least 6 months (longer preferable)
• Willing to accept payment through Paypal
• Must have examples
• Must be okay with me editing their work, sometimes heavily

The tone is casually scientific & a bit flowery. The subjects are usually either real life animals, mythical beasts, or various anthro species.
It is minimum 450 words, maximum 500.

If you haven't heard already, iOS did some things in regards to Patreon. Basically, there is a 30% upcharge for new subscriptions if you subscribe through the iOS app. Existing subs are not affected.
PROTIP: It's not just Patreon they do this to. So if you're in the habit of making purchases through iOS apps, consider doing them on your computer or through your phone's web browser where possible to save yourself some money.
Idk... Typical Apple moment. Just wanted to make you all aware. <3 I didn't increase my prices on anything, it's just apple wanting to put their hands in things again, grrr. Prices will be normal if you view them via any other method.

That said, if you're not on Patreon yet, it would mean a lot to have you there!! I know you probably hear it from every creator but, FOR REAL, it makes it so I can actually spend 8hrs a day drawing TF for y'all. :3

Happy to say that my injury recovery is going well, I am now able to sit at my computer for long enough to get some drawing done.
So, finally, and with baited breath, I can open up regular commissions again! It will be lighter work than before, as I still need to take things pretty slow, so slots will be greatly limited.

It's been a while!
Omg, looking back, did my arm injury really start 9 months ago? Damn, I carried this thing to full term. :P

Really, I just wanted to take this time say thank you to everyone who's still hanging around, despite the fact I really haven't been able to draw at full capacity in almost a year. I know a lot of my posts lately have been short-form, and it pains me to not be able to create all the things I want to, but things have been getting better. And honestly, seeing your comments always brings me so much joy.

So update, yes~
Last July I was at 1hr a day of drawing... Today, I'm at 4hrs/day >:D !

We know a lot more now than we did then. Tests and tests and many more tests. (Who else here has had an EMG? Oh. MY god. Can someone relate to me with that?? That was a bitch.)
My official diagnosis is double crush syndrome, basically from poor posture caused my muscles to warp wrongly around my ulnar nerve in my shoulder. Drawing so much each day caused irritation at the wrist, which would have been fine if my shoulder was normal. But because it wasn't, I had essentially built a time bomb of nerve-explosion, and I landed on my arm wrong in July aaand that's all it took!

Rehabilitation is going well. MUCH better now that we know what the issue is ^^
Still a long road to recovery, because the healing process is basically breaking down my old, crappy muscle structure with dry-needling, then re-training my arm to hold itself up properly through lots of exercise and lots sports tape so we can build up the correct muscle structure. You know how braces on teeth align things, but it takes super long? My physiotherapist said that's kinda the idea with this as well.

But she's awesome, and oh my god it's so good to finally know what's going on in my weird little body.

(Also I started training myself in ambidexterity in case something like this ever happens again. Next up I'll have a cool party trick!)

WE GOT A PLACE!!! We're moving in on tues/wed! ;; Thank you thank you thank YOU to all of your kind wishes and support and help!! I'm so relieved. ( And can't wait to get the move over with at the same time. xD )

Honestly it's even better than where we were! Location, too! It's in a bigger town than my old one (it has a starbucks... haha uh oh!), and cozied right in a bay. It's so cute and colourful and omg aaaaaaaaa ;; I can't express the weight that's been lifted off my shoulders. I can't wait to sleep in my own bed again and for our cat to have a whole home to run around in!

We've actually known since last week but I wanted to hold of celebrations until the keys were in hand - so they are. :3 We're all set!

UPDATE (Oct 31):

We are out of the house as of this weekend, which was mostly taking care of last minute IRL things. I won't be around too much for a while yet. Starting the apartment hunt early, and will be spending some time with family this coming weekend.

I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who's been supporting me through this. Whether its been kind words, art, or financial help, my heart has never been so warm. Especially to those who have helped me in the past too, you really have my back. I'm so grateful to be apart of this community. The help has been more than I could ever imagine. So, our home got condemned.

We are not entirely surprised, but this was the worst case scenario.

We live on the top level, but about two weeks ago, the pipes burst and flooded the entire lower level. Landlord passed away in 2020 and the family that inherited the place doesn't want anything to do with it, nor does insurance.

Thankfully, when our roof collapsed in 2020, the event motivated me to look into our insurance and upgrade it (because I thought we were covered for that, but we weren't! Huh.) And because of that, our insurance is going to be paying for our hotel expenses. So that is a HUGE load off... So thankful I did that. Yeah, our place was a piece of shit, but it was my home, you know?

Still have to figure out how to cover security deposit, food, lost time, temp storage, movers, etc. 2022 has been a monster, IRL hasn't been playing nice. I'm pretty exhausted, so I apologize if I've been a little slower on things for a while. Honestly, late 2020 to now has just been... a really hard period in my life. I know I haven't been at my best for a really long time, but I hope some day I can return to that.

In regards to commission work, it's really important to me that I can deliver these things as promised, so I'll still be prioritizing those deadlines <3

We'll be ok, I'm scared and emotionally spent, but we'll be ok. <3

Also uuumm. I have *particular* feelings about landlords. I'm sure we can all agree :P

Sorry for the slow output lately - I injured a nerve in my arm last week and it's still healing. Doc said it could take a while, so I'm doing my best to be patient with it! Thankfully, I am allowed to draw a little - about 1 hour a day - but MAN, it's so hard not being able to do anything! I'm the type of person who always has to be doing something, and I find so much joy in drawing, so... Aaargh! xD (But, at least, I've been doing a lot of 1-handed baking... Anyone want cookies? )

In the meantime, as I can't work much on commissions and still need to pay the bills, I have to ask for your support where available ^^
