Just popping on to say I'm extending my break time until the 25th.
I haven't taken a true break since... god, June 2020, I believe? And now that I'm relaxing, it's finally hitting me just how much I needed this xD

A little late to furaffinity with this, so if you follow me on twitter you might have heard already. ^^;
My boyfriend's disability payments are being cancelled next month, we thought we were going to be okay. But then everything happened all at once, and suddenly we don't know how we are going to manage paying the bills.
It's really hard for me to ask for help, especially when I can't offer anything in return for it. I'm working really hard to do as much as I can on commissions, but I'm only one girl supporting two people & I need to be careful with my stress exposure, as it can easily trigger my panic disorder and knock me out of work for weeks to months.
So as you may guess, I'm super stressed, and am just doing whatever I can to make ends meet. ^^; Any and all help is extremely appreciated, even if it's just sharing this post where you can.

Posted 5 years agoTL;DR: The stars aligned, and I've been contracted to work on a really cool cartoon for the next 4 months.
Big honkin hiatus incoming. Not a complete stop in art, but a significant slowdown.
So, yes! Hello! I won't be around a whole lot for the next 4 months.
An old friend of mine who works in the animation industry contacted me for sudden help.
Long story short, his offer was SUPER COOL and I seriously could not pass it up, so now I'm working on season 2 for a show. ;v;
Show name not to be told for privacy reasons, "Sylvia" isn't a terribly popular name hehehe.
So what next? Because, holy moly, back in June I opened unlimited slots for comms, expecting to only get 15ish AT MOST.
So, it's been quite a daunting task, slowly working through the waitlist. xD
And, because this job is 40hrs/week, I will only be able to work on comms and other art during the evenings and on weekends, when I can.
Here's the plan:
UNAFFECTED: (Will be working on these in the evenings/weekends, no matter what.)
- The current Make-A-Chimera event.
- Any commissions that are already paid for, or partially paid for.
- Any Patreon things that are set in September (the request stream, and end-of-month files/sketches.)
SLIGHTLY AFFECTED:
- Upcoming Halloween event, as this has already been drawn and fully planned out with a friend. However, the initial 6 slots will be reduced to 3. More info coming early Oct.
- The next Make-A-Chimera event, which was scheduled for January, will be pushed back. Not sure when exactly, but when I return I want my comm waitlist to be my top priority.
ON PAUSE:

I absolutely want to honor every person in the waitlist, and although it may take some time, I promise I will get to each and every one of you. <3

Matriarch Group Picture (If you joined, please read!!)

Hope you're all doing well, or, as well as you can in times like these. And staying safe!
Important news regarding the "Giant Matriarch Group Picture", or rather, its Easter deadline:
So, I'll start by saying this was my first time ever trying unlimited slots for something. I planned according to the response I usually get for events and commissions and stuff, and well... WOW, you guys blew it out of the water! Ahaha <3 I mean, I'm extremely grateful for all of your interest in the Matriarch species!! But we ended up getting almost triple the amount of interest I had planned for.
Which means, inevitably, I don't think I'll be able to make the Easter deadline that was announced on the event (April 12th). To make the deadline, I'd have to manage 13 sketches a day for 3 days, and then lining+colouring 13 fullbodies a day for 3 days. Some part of me was like "OKAY I CAN DO THIS", buuuut after only finishing 7 sketches today, hmm... I don't think it's physically possible. Aaah!
The new deadline will be by the end of April.
My sincerest apologies for anyone who was hoping for the Easter deadline ;_;
That being said, I have some options. AND a live update system. Let's start with the options.
• [OPTION 1] If you're okay with the new deadline, you don't have to do anything! I'll keep moving forward as planned, and have this done by the end of April.
• [OPTION 2] If you need this done by the original deadline (like if it was a gift), please let me know! I will expedite your character to be finished by April 12th. They will then become part of the group picture when the rest are done. Please be honest though! Because I can't do this for every character.
• [OPTION 3] If you needed this done by the original deadline, AND option 2 is not satisfactory for you, please let me know and I can set up a refund. If you choose this option, please be patient and allow me a few weeks to gather the funds!

Sorry I've been a little absent this past week - Xmas preparation and some IRL stuff has made me a busy bee!
I'm gonna be pumping out oneeee more little thing for y'all before I head off to the land of which I grew up, aka the middle of nowhere.
So yes! I'll be out of town from later today, until sometime on the 28th, weather permitting.
♥ ♥ ♥ Now for the BIG absence news. I'll be getting a moderately significant surgery at the end of January.
It's in a big city about... 12-13 hours away. And I'm not allowed to take a plane afterwards, so we gotta roadtrip it.
We'll be leaving on Jan 24th, and I'm not sure when I'll return. If I had to guess, I'd say I'll be away for ~2 weeks or so?
I'm gonna miss you guys ;_; (And the internet. I'll bring lotsa books.)
And just in case you guys get worried - I'm totally okay!!
The surgery is to correct some genetic stuff that would get worse as I get older.

SECRET SANTA! (Open) - A TF community Event <3
Posted 6 years agoWhat is a "SECRET SANTA"?
Secret santa is an event where you draw or write for each other, and get something back in return!
Each participant will be assigned a "Santa" (who they will receive their gift from!), and a "Recipient" (who they will make a gift for!)
But the best part...? It's a secret match up! You won't know who your "Santa" is until the day you receive your gift!! It's a surprise! :D
TIMELINE:
• Applications Open: November 21st (today!)
• LAST DAY for applications: November 30th
• Santas assigned: December 4th
• Submission period: December 5th onward
• LAST DAY for gift submissions: December 23rd
• 'No-gift' recipients get assigned an elf: January 2nd
WHAT IS AN ELF? CAN I BE AN ELF?
• An elf is a kind soul who volunteers to make art or writing for someone who's santa was a no-show. If you choose to volunteer as an elf, you can still join the regular gift-exchange! You may just be assigned an extra recipient in early January. To volunteer as an elf, just reply to the "ELF SIGN-UP HERE" comment below!!
What happens if I don't receive a gift?
• If you don't receive a gift by the night of December 24th, please note TFSanta2019 with the subject "No Gift", and be patient! We will assign an elf to you! (And then we will go gently scold your Santa, uhuhu.)
What happens if I miss my deadline for my gift/can't finish it in time?
• Sadly, you will be banned from any future events of this kind :(
RULES/INFO:
- This event is open to BOTH artists and writers, but the two categories will be kept 100% separate.
- This event is open ALMOST ALL skill levels. You must have been drawing/writing for at least 6 months to join. <3
- Likewise, please do not join if you are NOT okay with receiving art from someone who might be of a lower skill level than you.
- You must have a Furaffinity (or deviantArt) gallery with at least three (3) submissions of your own work in it, for verification purposes.
- You must be committed to finishing your recipient's gift! If you are unsure about your availability, please do not join.
- NONE of the following topics can be requested OR drawn: Non-consensual sexual acts (rape), loli/shota/babyfur/underage stuff, bestiality (feral+non-feral intercourse), identity death, highly-specific OR hardcore OR niche TF fetishes (including inanimate), and fetishes not relating to transformation.

Just wanted to give a BIG thank you to everyone who gave their opinions on my previous journal.
The new way I'll be taking commissions is alternating between two options.
Form-based (primary), and first come first serve (every 3rd opening).
Hopefully this will work out well!
