First job... my god, that was the most tiring thing I've done so far (since climbing Mt. Dromedary a couple of years ago, but that's different).
Maybe I'm just being a crybaby, but when you keep taking plates out of the dishwasher and burning yourself every time you pick up a cup... it's not really that pleasant lol. Let alone having seven frying pans to scrub with a washcloth, then rinsing that washcloth out to wipe down another three tables...

I'm grateful for the money I got out of it; though it was only $10 per hour, they paid me extra for the half hour I did over time. My boss was quite stressed, as I found out the hard way, but I had to just keep my head down like the others and hope for the best.

All in all, I'm exhausted. I don't think I'll be able to do that again for a while now.

Yep, I was having a coffee at the local cafe and they decided to ask me right out of the blue. It's nothing special just yet, three hours a week dish washing and clearing tables for about $50. But still, it's a job!

This is a great start to the year, as we're currently trying to re-register the car and I can put some more money towards my fursuit head. I'm not sure how I can cope with that many people in a small space every Saturday, but I really need the work experience right now (I missed out last year).

So, this makes me a very happy cat <3

Because you know, it's the end of the world and all.

This year I have a lot planned ahead. I'm going to start by dropping my ego and trying to rebuild myself as a person. I plan to take more control of my life and aim for the future by thinking in the "now" moment.

loxodrome and I also plan to start a second, Djent/Melo-death/etc. band alongside Hybrid Hardkore. No ideas on a name just yet; I like Principium but I think it's been taken.
Speaking of HBHK, I'm working on an EP which will be out in late January.

Smaller resolutions include getting higher marks in school, aiming for a license and trying to learn the Scandinavian languages. Also attempting to find more materials for this fursuit head (I'd like to go to FurDU in April) and possibly opening up for commissions.

It's just dawned on me how shitty the past seven years have been. I haven't been talking to my sister as honestly as I'd like to (this has been the case for both of us), and my brother is making my life decisions quite difficult by suggesting all my schooling options.

This isn't a rant, and I'm not asking for help. I'm just going through a moment of sudden realization. I've been tied down by all of this, and my adolescence has been a lot more pressuring than it should be. I've been letting other people control my life, moving towns so many times that I could never really establish a proper social life - and only now have I settled down long enough to really stop and think where I plan to go. After all, I'm nearly seventeen and about two more years from being able to move out. One thing's for sure, I don't want to feel like my parents are top priority any longer. I'm being held down by years of subtle blackmail and the dependency of my parents; there's an issue with control, and relying on manipulating other people.

It's an unhealthy lifestyle for me to be living, and I can't believe I've been stuck in this position for so long... so it's about time I thought about ways to get out.

So my loving mate Mitch - aka loxodrome - has turned 16 today. And today also marks our third month together. So drop him a comment and make his day a great one~

Also may as well discuss the bowling night we had on Saturday to celebrate Tobias and Ronan (straitis and cckuribon) finishing school, along with the other festivities. We met up with asidicpepsi just outside town, and the first birthday present given to Mitch was Pepsi's highly ironic Coke bottle - share a coke with *mitch's real name*. With the three of us getting a lift in Mitch's car, we arrived in town to search for the bowling alley which I had no directions for. Relying on Pepsi's memory, we eventually found the area - while Tobias and Ronan wandered from the bus stop, leaving us even more confused.

Reunited at our lane, bowling went fairly well - for Tobias, that is. I should have known his height would be an advantage. He broke the pin machine multiple times and our game was hindered by the staff manually resetting the lane. Despite the technical difficulties, Ronan's friend Ash turned up eventually and we had the whole gang. A few games later and Ronan ended up winning most of the matches.

One arcade raiding and a game of snooker later, we walked into town to catch the bus back. Pepsi found himself some transport, and we decided to take the fox for a ride down the main street. Funny sight to see actually, a fedora-wearing kid with fake pistols, trenchcoat and aviators having a shootup while five others pushed him along in a shopping cart.

We finally reached the mall and bus stop, where we were faced with a dilemma - Mitch, Pepsi and I each had $50 notes, which the bus driver wouldn't take. After pestering Tobias to run into the mall and get change, Ronan saved the day by once again lending us most of his money.

So a day well spent, with lots of madness and insanity c:

- What sort of artist would you most identify yourself as?
A character designer or portrait artist of some sort. A bit of a writer and programmer, as long as I'm creating mascots or graphics for certain things. In general, a cartoonist.

- What would be your secondary identity?
Technically I do this more than my primary identity, but in general I'm a musician and electronic music producer. Not all skrillex-y where I do everything with my laptop though; I'm trying to work my way up to buying some actual hardware and/or mixing desks. I just poke around in melodies and short tunes, really. Maybe I'd write music for game or movie soundtracks?

- What forms of art do you dabble in, but don't excel at?
I occasionally do a little bit of textiles - plushies and the occasional cosplay thing. I'm very lazy though, even if I'm trying to work my way up into fursuiting. I'd like to do some video making again, provided I got the camera out and thought of a good enough plot.

- How would you describe your 'style'?
I've been greatly influenced by both sides of the cartoonist's world; western and manga. I've been swinging closer to the "toony manga" side lately, with lines being jagged and angular. It's all mix-and-match, really.

- What medium do you favor most?
Digital; it comes with ctrl+z. Lately I've been sketching more pen-and-paper doodles though, simply because it helps me get ideas out quicker. Anything I like out of a sketchdump, I'll scan and recreate later.

- What are your favorite subject matters?
For as long as I can remember in the furry/anthro community, I've been influenced by a lot of ryanide's work on Exetype (ginnigan's theme = unf), even Two Heroes and Dendyn Dynasties. A guilty pleasure of mine is android/cyborg-esque fighters with their own humanoid take on them, a good example being Astro Boy. I also enjoy creatures with some sci-fantasy elements, particularly felines and reptiles. As long as the colours compliment each other well enough, I'm happy.
Also a bit of a sucker for skys scenes and wide spread landscapes. Mountains, flooded valleys, things like that.

- What are your least favorite subject matters?
Fantasy strikes my fancy every now and then, but more than often I feel it hasn't been done "right". To me, everything feels like another version of Runescape or WoW, which saddens me because so many early novels depict fantasy worlds in such a great way. Also, there's a fine line for me when I view post-apocalyptic or scifi-war themes. The more muscled up and bullet-covered the subject, the less likely I am to find any interest in it. I generally don't like when things are "overdone" or "exaggerated"...

- List your Artistic Strengths
Involvement in my work; when I get into my creative flow I can't stop unless someone deliberately tries to irritate me. I also have this uncanny ability where if I tune into my mind's eye deep enough, I can picture a character or song before I even work on it - what kind of expression they'll have, what clothes they'll enjoy wearing, how they'll react in a certain situation.

- List your Artistic Weaknesses
I am my own worst critic. More than often I've crumpled paper because I wasn't happy with the result. I also can't draw human faces very well and my sense of 3D perspective needs improvement.

- Which of the above weaknesses would you most like to see improve?
Anatomy, poses and overall scenery. My characters seem to "float" in a white void more than anything.

- Adult Content. . . yes/no?
I've tried, but I was never happy with the result because most of them with five-minute-scribbles. And anyway, I'd rather be focusing on other aspects of art instead of big bewbs and cocks all the time.

- Adult Subject Matter you favor?
Being mostly homosexual (lesbian converted bi), a lot of tits and bewbs go well with me except I don't really go for the whole "cutesy foxgirl with the big muscled wolf stuck between huge knockers". I like things to be a little more though out, while keeping up a certain standard of artistic quality and realism.
As for fetishes, I'd like to keep those to myself.

- Schooling/Training received in the arts?
Other than high school I'm mostly self taught; been drawing ever since I could pick up a pencil. Had a few art books and friends who redlined for me, two or three workshops and about two years in an amateur film making/video club. Music is 100% self taught from trial and error, I've been surrouned by instruments and computers all my life so it kicked off from an early age.

- Schooling/Training you'd still like to have?
A high paying multimedia course in digital art, sound production, video, 2D and 3D animation. Maybe join a film school.

- Would you consider yourself prolific, or a 'quality over quantity' sort of artist?
I just do what makes me happy at the time. I like to keep my art up to a certain standard, but I dislike having to agonize over small details to it's a quick "think-and-draw" for me a lot of the time. I don't think about the result until I'm at least two thirds of the way through.

- Would you considering yourself a Fine Artist, or a Commercial Artist?
Bit of both. I'd like to get paid for what I do, while still keeping some artistic freedom.

- Where would you like to be in five years?
Producing my own TV series, books, CDs, films and various merch under the name of Black Static Productions. I've had my series in my head since 2007, and I'd love to see it on the big screen at some point. Even a screening at a con would be nice...

So this one teacher - we'll call him Mr. A - lets asidicpepsi, straitis, cckuribon and I hang out in his classroom at lunch (straitis and kuribon have left this year), but everyone else in the school has officially voted him "the most horrible person in the world" - he even has the sign near his desk to prove it. Anyway, the student SRC is giving away doughnuts and Mr. A gives all the guys in the room a doughnut for free.

The next events happened somewhat like this. Me, Pepsi, "Herpes", Ray and his friend are all in Mr. A's class at once:

Me: Okay, I'm back from running errands in the art block--
