RULES
☆ the aim is to make a base to be used in the upcoming myo
event
☆ no copying, stealing or tracing
☆ your base only needs to include the basic sugarbit body
☆ if you would like to add tail and fluff variants, the updated
species reference can be found here! please only add traits in
purple and blue (common and uncommon traits respectively)
☆ sugarbit body types are diverse so if you'd like to add curves
or draw a sugarbit with skinnier limbs than usual, that's ok
☆ winning entries must be made available to people to use for
the myo event, if you're not ok with this, then don't enter
☆ people will be required to credit you for your lineart when
using the base
☆ entries will be judged based on how neat and easy to use the
base is. I will be testing them!
☆ all prize winners will have their bases used as official myo bases
for the duration of this event. after this event you may do what
you like with them (retire them, sell commissions on them, etc.)
☆ you retain all rights to your artwork, but not to the sugarbit species
☆ submit entries by commenting on this journal with a link!
☆ your comment should include a preview image and a link to the
.PSD or .SAI file with layers intact

☆ 1st place ~ UNLOCKED
a free myo slot with an upgrade to royal/bobtail/green (rare)
traits transferred onto a base of your choice by me!
☆ 2nd place ~ UNLOCKED
a free myo slot with an upgrade to bobtail/blue (uncommon)
traits
☆ 3rd place ~ UNLOCK AT 20 ENTRIES
a free myo slot with an upgrade to blue (uncommon) traits
you can design your own prize myo or commission/request a
different artist to do it for you. the details will be made clearer
when the myo event launches
if anyone is willing to help me offer more (art) prizes, please
contact me via note! any skill level is welcomed

for people who advertise my events!
winners will be chosen in a raffle. you can earn raffle entries by
- posting a furaffinity journal about the contest/myo (1)
- posting a dA journal about the contest/myo (1)
- being a member of the dA group and/or toyhouse world (1)
- submitting sugarbit art to the dA group during the event (2)
- roleplaying or writing in the dA group or toyhouse world during the event (2)
each type of entry can only be claimed once!

GENERAL RULES
☆ each Sugarbit (with the exception of studs) may be bred up to 3 times per event
☆ maximum litter size is two - your Sugarbit may not give birth to anything more than twins
☆ breeding with a stud will never produce twins - the only way you can get them is by breeding your Sugarbit with another person's and each paying the $15 fee!
☆ please do not bother people about breeding their Sugarbit if they have not opted into the event
and therefore do not appear on the list - respect their personal space!
PRICES
☆ when two Sugarbits are bred:
- pay $15 to produce one baby
- if two Sugarbit owners pay $15 each to breed their pair, it will produce twins! (choose near-identical or non-identical)
- you may breed a Sugarbit on behalf of another user - in this case they should pay the fee unless it's a gift from you!
- this should go without saying, but please do not charge your own fee of any kind to breed your Sugarbit
PAIRING
☆ you may pair your Sugarbits with someone else's
- Sugarbits must be of opposite sexes to breed
- this can be forever or just for the duration of the event
- I will be posting a list of all participating single Sugarbits as a matchmaking service!
STUDDING
☆ for people who don't know anyone else with a Sugarbit I will be providing Sugarbit studs!
- again, the parents must be of opposite sexes
- both sexes may be studded as Sugarbits have a short gestation time
- studs can breed an unlimited amount of times
- requesting to breed two studs is not allowed

GENETICS
this is all optional reading - it's just here for my reference or if you want to try to breed for specific traits

☆ bobtails are a recessive mutation
- two bobtails breeding will always result in a bobtailed baby
- a bobtail and a normal breeding have a 25% chance to produce a bobtailed baby
☆ royal Sugarbits are recessive
- two royals will generally refuse to breed (25% chance of breeding), but if they do, all offspring will be royal - there is no fee if your royal refuses to breed
- a royal and a normal Sugarbit breeding have a 25% chance to produce a royal baby
☆ fluff type (angular, layered, angelic, pompom) all have an equal chance of passing to offspring
- locations of fluff will be similar to parents
☆ rounded tail puffs are dominant to all other kinds (taper, split, wing)
- a parent with a rounded tail bred to one with non rounded has a 75% chance to produce a baby with a rounded tail puff
☆ Sugarbits will refuse to inbreed
