Well its come to my attention that I have uploaded anything in a while.
My friends keep telling me to just post my sketchbook scrawls so I will.
I've taken the liberty of starting my "Scrub Artwork" updates, unfinished stuff that I may more may not redo or finish. Its a good way of showing that I do draw.. just not anything that I feel is good enough to post.
Hell, if you guy see anything you think is good in the "Scrub" section i'll look into it (comment are really helpful trying to get better at this)

Recently I've been think about why i haven't been able to draw anything, whether it be lack of drive or motivation or work or other distraction. Yes, I have some semblance of a life, work, college, and numerous hobbies that make me smile and take up my time.
Then a couple of days ago I had when out, had some time to myself and realized why I love art.
My art can't be summoned up by force. I've tried and thought hard about this but it's just the way I work. Sure I might be able to do it now and again, and there are tremendous artist here on FA that commission art frequently and take joy in bringing visual form to others ideas. I respect and greatly admire anyone that does this consistently.
You guys/gals ROCK!
But as of this moment in my life I cant force my art right now... I'm sure with a bit more practice I can learn it, and occasionally I'll take sketch ideas and such, and I have found I do better with art trades than I do with commissions or requests (odd but true).

For now I'm going back to something I haven't done since early high school, "draw for me, with a reason". I actually remember something I said way back then when someone asked me "why did I draw all the time".
My answer:
"It's not that I think about drawing all the time.. it's weird like I look at the paper, an idea doesn't come from my head..rather my hands and the page... then as I draw it my mind runs wild, and i come up with what you see."
Yes, it's kind of cheesy, but it's true. Most of my friend who know me rl have ask "hey what you drawing?" and I've honestly answered "i don't know.." I think most artist have that raw "imagination" and some naturally learn to manipulate it to just happen whenever they want it to.
Trying to update more often than these really long ones, but at least with these I have something to say.

I'm sitting around here and am bored as hell... so I go threw my phone... and call everybody...
And I realize that with the exception of two people I get voice mails on everybody... and those two where busy with life....
Well... forever alone I guess...

BIOSHOCKED!!! A TALE OF A GAMER

Yes, i went to the midnight release of Bioshock: Infinite
Yes, This story is totally true from begining to end...
It begins with desperation....
I needed a ride... not just any ride a ride that would be willing to take me somewhere at almost 11:00 at night. I had to turn to my sister, a deal with the devil (blood signing and all) but i eventually convinced her. She drove. I arived to find what i expected other nerds waiting for the same game... but this isnt what i want to get at... waited in line, got the game, and made it home. Oh how i would F#*& this marvelous game package.. the sweet smell of pre order swag... heaven. I was, in fact, so happy id forgoten a key downfall in my plans.
As i turn to my computer (sorry folks im a PC gamer) i realized that i had so little use for physical media these days that i didnt have a cd/dvd drive installed (i used a usb version of window installation disk, and before you ask, im legit)
My Hopes... dashed...
I ripped apart my room hoping to find a drive.. failure... MY LAPTOP IT HAS A DRIVE!!! I hastilly rips my laptop drive out.. BUT NO SATA CABLE TO CONNECT IT...
All my wanting and waiting FOR NOTHING!!!!!
but whats this? i look to the back of my game case to find a code...
Could it be..

A POTENTIAL STEAM CODE!!!
I jamm you fingers on my keyboard in excitement as i enter the code:
"Oh please dont be a cd only activation code...."
HAZA!!! STEAM RECOGNIZES MY CODE AND START THE LOADING FOR MY GAME

Yes.. yes i know everyones busy but i have been particularlly busy as of recent, work, along with some personal issue, coupled with a lack of sleep and you get... "Instant hold-ups"
Now that doesnt mean i havent been doing sketch ups for some art (posting in my scraps) so check in and if you feel you must poke me in a pm or two... im pretty good at checking it and look around FA daily (unless work holds me)
Peace to all of the busy folks and the art will continue

Been super busy as of late, what with work and college, one tends to get busy.
But now for adding to my "List of reason i havent updated in a while"
MY POOR PEN IS GONE!!!
Lol actually i lost the damn thing, and since up until now i've been doing digital artwork
it has become quite a hinderance. I'll probably order ne for the new year.
But thats not to say i havent been hard at work.
Infact i have lotsa handdraw stuff for submission soon... perhaps i'll even polish some of it up.
SURVIED 4 END OF THE WORLDS AND STILL KICKING! Peace

So yeah i figure "HEY IT LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVENT POSTED IN A WHILE< WHERES THE ART WHERES THE STORIES!!!!!!"
I now have an answer... i've draw alot just havent posted any of it...
SO today i hope to to a massive dump of scanned work (which i may or many not ink and finish) so the masses can see me "DO YA THANG" (comment if you get the recent ref ;) )
and who nows i moght even do a bit of "live art" sometime in the near future
BTW CALLING ALL ARTIST : I really need help with proper inking and color SHADING (yeah thats why most of my work is ethier flat or not colored, not for lack of will or laziness)

1. Im working (although not 24 hours a day so a pretty poor excuse)
2. Artist Block (Obvious lie, i have 2 folders of ideas and 2 of unfinished work)
3. .... DAMN IT ALL OK IM LAZY

Lol but seriously i'll try and update more often so you all can see my work, starting with some

A year with a goat
Posted 14 years agoWell well well it seems that i finally have some time to finish up some of the 14 BILLION story plots, archs, and comics i has started in the passed year. First up on the table is one ive been meaning to do forever: Artistic Retreat.
OK now for the backstory:
So the talented artist
tokaga and i used to be roomates about a year ago. He actually got me into the so called "Fur Community" and i am extremely gratfull. Anyway he allowed me to borrow one of his characters "Zazhie the goat" and the only restriction was "Treat her well"
(MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA THAT FOOLISH FOOL!!!!)
Lol JK, anyway i've had this short comic idea for a while but due to advanced procrastination syndome i have untill just recently started to work on it.
"Artistic Retreat" is pretty much a sum up of Samson Blacksheep (my character) and Zazhie's time together for the past year, most of which are based on my real world travels.
...did i mention it will be one of my first Mature comics? Hope for the best as i will be trying hard to get this done.

Posted 14 years agoBecause i've been getting some rather "pushy" requests to change my icon, i decided to make a "quick and dirt" new icon. Personally i kinda like the whole "cup and art supplies" JK not really but i hope this little icon joke is liked.

Posted 15 years agoOk, Ok so maybe i havent updated as often as i should but im in a little rough patch in my life right now. OH WORRY'S ME, AN ARTIST WITH PROBLEMS!! yeah i know, not very original is it, nor does it make a good excuse, what if i said my creativity was taken by aliens to use for scientific studies... then again there are plenty of you furries out there so thats not very good either. Ok fine IM LAZY i havent posted cuz im busy doing nothing (sleeping mostly) But ok i realize i cant get better unless i post more. So heres the deal to keep me in check. Every week i dont post a pic or two i'll post part of a story i'll be working on entitled: Blacksheeps Revenge. I post more about it in another journal, K. So there now either i draw more or my story becomes public, fair no?

Posted 15 years agoAlright! To help me get "In the swing of thing" with the whole "deadline problem" Im gonna submit something EVERY SINGLE WEEK. I know terrorfying isnt it? But yeah at least something, Im still trying my hand at coloring techniques to get better at lighting/shading/highlights. Its not gonna be easy but it'll be helpful....

Being an artist (and knowing others suffer from it as well) I have an amazingly short attention span when i have ampal time to draw... and not as suprising im most creative when i should be doing work (studying or otherwise non art realated things)

MY ART PAD IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!I CAN FINALLY DO SOMETHING!!!This is the end of a 3 month long wait i finally got my art pad so i can POST SOMETHING NOW!!!The question is what to post.... umm... the first post is always important. So what should i post? Decisions, decisions....
