It's his birthday today! Go spread some love and give him birthday wishes.

Just a little journal saying my birthday is Sunday. I shall be 36. Working that day and so is Brandon, so we don't have any major plans for the actual day. Going to go to an art festival beginning of Oct. to celebrate. Also shall go looking for Boyds Bears at some point. Fun things!

I am waiting to see if his mother says anything. I'm betting on a no and that she'll just ignore the whole thing. Well she can't ignore us at Christmas I say! Going to see how she gets out of that holiday.

Hey people. Just a quick update on life.

Dad is doing well on the chemo. His mind is going far as his memory, but that was even before the chemo, now it's just getting worse. Good side though, the chemo is working and his PSA is continuing to go down. yay!

Annette was home, but was put back in the hospital Tuesday due to her vomiting blood. She's getting sent home Thursday. I just hope it isn't to soon as the doctors are saying they've solved things. I doubt it, but we'll see. I doubt because getting a finger up the bum does not solve the problem.

Mother in law ignored Brandon and me when we were there last. Made me feel like I did something awful to her. Hurt a lot especially when the brother and sister in law showed up and she talked to them, hugged them, fussed over them. This is the first time they even saw Annette since everything happened. Well, I told hubby I'm not going over there again since it's obvious I'm not welcome. I will to see Annette, but I won't see her or her fiance again. If you have a problem with me, tell me, don't just ignore me. Your 58, freaking act like it.

Anyway, trying to get into a new line of work. Hopefully that will pan out, just have to wait a little bit to find out. Would mean more pay, free schooling, and I get to stay where I am, so why not?

Knitting a scarf finally! Realizing my hands are not allowing me to do this for very much longer. Breaking down crying, then on here giving the update, then back to it. Just....I love making things. I hate that my RA is taking this away from me. Not totally for now, but I'm def. not capable of what I was a few months back. Even with my gloves on.

Ok, good news first! Annette is home from the hospital. They kicked her out Sat. because her levels were good for a week and they couldn't do anything else for her. She is actually wanting to live! Oh this makes me so happy. She's been nibbling on food, which is a good start. (she went a month without eating) I am so excited and hope she starts getting better soon.

Alright bad news. My mother-in-law is treating me like shit and Brandon as well. She ignored us and won't talk to us. BUT, the brother and sister in law show up and it's all, "oh hi guys, how about a hug? how are you?" She's been acting this way towards us for quite some time. I don't need her to help me feel like shit, I got that on my own.

Hello everybody.

Welp, on the ride back from AC I got hit with a sore throat. Lo and behold! Infamous con crud got me on Tuesday as a full blown cold. I don't know if I'll ever be able to avoid getting this nonsense from now on. Having an autoimmune disease (my Rheumatoid Arthritis) doesn't make it easy to not get and then not get rid of.

I've put my scarf making on hold for now. Sorry, , but I don't want to hack all over your stuff. I was nice, I shared it with Brandon. He got it yesterday but it seems it will go by quick for him.

First, some good news! Dad seems to be doing well with the chemo treatments. He goes for his fifth or sixth one on the 17th of this month. His PSA level keep going down after every treatment. Yay!

For those that don't know, here is a tiny explanation. "The prostate gland produces a substance called PSA, or prostate specific antigen....PSA is measured by nanograms per millimeter of blood. Most men have under 4 nanograms."

My Dad was at a PSA level of 295. Now he's somewhere around 160. Hopefully, it'll keep going down with every treatment.

Now the bad news. Annette, Brandon's grandmother, isn't doing well. Her levels are good, she's hydrated, the internal bleeding has stopped but she won't eat. She refuses to. If this keeps up, she'll not be around much longer. She's not hurting, everything is registering normal. I have a feeling she's given up on life.

Brandon is talking to his uncle now, which is her son. They are trying to find a way to fix this issue. If they can't think of something, we may loose her soon.

So, that's the news as of today!

First, thanks to all who said well wishes and good thoughts and prayers for Annette, his grandmother. If not for you, I don't think we would have made it to AC. She is improving greatly, is out if ICU, eating. I mean just wow. Big improvement.

AC was so much fun. I got to meet just about everyone I wanted to and hang out with friends. Had a ball hanging out with my friends. love you guys!
Got to suit, got to full suit. Interacted with some new people and got to talk to them for a bit. Attended a lady panel and got to meet some cool ladies in the fandom.

All the love and thanks to our friend who paid for this, otherwise, it would have never happened. Couldn't ask for a better vacation. Needed it.

The only bad part I had was dealing with the RA. Learned the full suiting can give me lots of issues that it didn't just back in March this year. Worries me that it's getting worse. (Thanks to Flying Fire for hanging with hubby and me until it got better.) Still, least I can partial just fine so that was good. I refuse to be defeated by my own body.

Now, off to bed for the big drive home tomorrow.

Hi all. Just wanting to catch everyone up to speed on what's been happening to me the past six days. Seems a lot longer.

Annette was taken to the hospital 6 days ago. Annette is Brandon's grandmother. She's been more like my mother-in-law to me than my mother-in-law. Anyway, she's been at the hospital for the past six days. Started out with needing to treat an infection around the port for her Dialysis. Now, she's in ICU, bleeding internally, has three blood clots, and it can get worse or better. Not sure right now, the doctors are trying to figure out what all is going on. My days have been spent at work and when I'm not, at the hospital. So, everything has been on hold because of this. My apologies on people waiting on art from me.

This also means I may not go to AC. If she gets worse, AC is a no. Just letting everyone know of our plans. Our friend paying for the trip talked to us and he's on the same page, just so we knew he agreed. Family comes first, especially this serious. Will have a def. decision on that come Monday.

Also, Dad seems to be doing well on the chemo. He gets another treatment today. He is looking and acting more like a little frail old man now. I'm finally getting used to seeing him that way. The man is 77 and I know it's the chemo in part of why he's looking that way. Just.....it's hard.
