Help for Galileo’s Treatment
Posted 3 days agoHello everyone,
This is very difficult for me to write, but I’ll try to keep it brief and clear.
Galileo and Galilei are two cats that were left under my care after the person who used to provide for them abandoned us following a difficult breakup. Since then, I’ve been doing my best to keep them safe and healthy, but the costs have become overwhelming.
Galileo is the oldest (3 years old). He was born with a skin cancer on his eyelid that required surgery, and last year he also had a digestive obstruction due to hair ingestion that required another operation. Since then, he’s been more fragile. Recently, he developed thick eye discharge that looks like pus. Despite daily care, it keeps coming back, and I’m afraid it might affect his vision.
The vet suspects it’s related to the same herpesvirus that his brother, Galilei (2 years old), had in his mouth — which caused him to lose a few teeth. We treated it before, but it never fully healed, and it might have spread through grooming.
I’m currently trying to raise funds for another veterinary consultation and new treatment, as well as their food and litter. I’ve done everything I can with my own resources, but I can’t keep up with the costs anymore.
I know asking for help publicly might seem easy, but for me —being an introverted person— it’s truly hard. I don’t usually talk about personal matters online, and there’s nothing I’d want more than to handle this privately, without bothering anyone. Still, the situation has surpassed me, and I’m doing this for them.
If you’d like to help, I have a BuyMeACoffee page where I’ll be posting updates:

Even if you can’t donate, thank you for reading — that alone already means a lot to me and to them.
