How do you prefer a Terms of Service?
Posted 8 years agoWould you prefer a journal here with my terms, or a link to my sta.sh document with them (fully styled)? Also, how would you critique my Terms as they stand currently (under construction?) found here: http://sta.sh/0y5c2h2i50v
*le sigh*
Posted 8 years agoThat moment when you start drawing your first awesome anthro and it looks baller but you can't share it with anyone because it's for a private project...
In the mean time, I'm in a real university now, and it's kind of kicking my butt. I haven't really worked on any post-able art because I have very little free time and most of that free time must be spent on private projects (and I try my best to de-stress otherwise).
Someday, when I have the time to do art and can take commissions and stuff, you guys will be hopefully glad to note that I am capable of anthros and will have had a lot more practice with wings.
Also, if anyone knows any great tuts on posing anthro legs, that'd be sweet. I'm getting the anatomy down, but posing them is still pretty difficult for me.
Hope everything is going well for you all!

Coming to the end of another year
Posted 9 years agoHey guys! Sorry I've not been getting through my cue as fast as I'd hoped. Both me and my husband have gotten a nasty sinus cold bug and it makes us very tired! Hopefully everyone had a happy holidays :)
I'm working on when I have some energy, but I also received some good news today, I got into uni!

Sliding Through The Snow
Posted 9 years agoI am officially off for break! Now, that doesn't mean an exclusive stopping of work for me, but it greatly frees up my time ^-^ Time to get cranking on some owed art :3 We're in an awesome winter storm right now too, everything's so pretty!
Watch for artstreams too btw, I will probably try to stream a majority of my work c: you can check at https://picarto.tv/Sykaeh

Just some updates
Posted 9 years agoWelp, I don't know how many of you are computer building savvy, but we received all of our computer parts and put the thing together, no issues so far, seems to be running great c:
This means I get my computer back! Yay! This week and next week are finals, and I am very busy with school work, but after next week the semester will be over! This means I'll have time for art! More yay! I'll be doing my YCH commission first then other owed artwork. I hope to create an actual ToS over break and a commissions sheet to be able to start taking commissions.
For those computer savvy, we came very close to making a relatively easy but awful mistake during the build. I believe in using after-market heatsinks, because they are relatively cheap and work significantly better than the stock heatsink that comes with a processor and the processor is probably one of the most expensive parts of a computer (unless you get really into high-end video cards). Installing the heatsink is probably the most nerve-wracking part of building a computer. My husband and I were building together, and he really wanted to do the heatsink. It's been awhile since he has worked on the internal parts of a computer, and he's a little out of touch, but I was helping and we made sure to re-watch a tutorial video while we did it. So we install the heatsink, and everything goes very smoothly and we sigh in relief because the rest of the build is quite easy. He puts in the ram and I circle around the comp to look at something or get something and notice the heat-sink's backplate is on upside down. We look it up and that is definitely a problem! If we were to turn it on like that it would have fried our motherboard and we might not have ever known what was wrong with the thing and had to RMA a bunch of parts thinking they came DOA. So now we are freaking out, because it's like 10 pm and we're tired from not getting enough sleep the night before. We try to take off the back bolts while holding the front in place to just switch the backplate orientation, which we thought could work in theory. Start taking off the first one, once the bolt came off the springs on the front popped hard, flinging the nut behind the motherboard. Ooops.. Darn it this plan isn't going to work! So we resolve ourselves and disassemble the heatsink, clean off the paste carefully, take out the motherboard (that nut got wedged behind it), and re-did the whole thing. But we caught it and everything works. Went to bed at 3 am lol. Boy was that terrifying for a moment though!
TLDR;
We got our new computer working and I'll be working on art after this semester ends in two weeks. We almost fried our motherboard during the build process due to an upside-down backplate, but thankfully caught it relatively early in the build.

Bleh +upcoming commissions
Posted 9 years agoWent ahead and hemorrhaged out the cash to get a new computer since our old one went head-first down shit-city. At least there are good Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals going on. Will be creating a commissions sheet after completing owed art (yay!) once the new one is built to have money again... jeez this is painful.
If my two ych's are not sold by the time I finish my other owed art, they will be taken down and made into personal art. No one has shown interest :\ *shrugs*

Welp...
Posted 9 years agoSo uh.. One of our main computers died.... and we don't currently have the money to replace it. This means the only computer I can do art on is taken over by the hubbs... :|
I want to do try to crank out my new owed art and do coms to raise money, but can't...
*sigh* we'll see when shit gets done.

A new year on FA
Posted 10 years agoHappy to announce that I am once again finally completing art! The new semester starts Tuesday, but hopefully it won't be too bad this time around. I am happy to say I got a 4.0 with my three classes last semester! This semester I should be able to figure out how to do well in school AND do things like art in my free time.
Inactivity (sorry!)
Posted 10 years agoSorry I've been so inactive recently, I don't know how to balance fun and busy yet. Also the mall by where I live already has Christmas decorations up. Eww. It's not even Halloween yet.
That Incredibly Awkward Moment....
Posted 10 years ago....when you go to build your computer and NOTHING came with screws or cables.
Motherboard literally came without mounting screws. Case came without any screws not in use. No SATA cables with harddrive or discdrive. Discdrive's drivers came on a disc. Fan screws giant while holes are tiny, zip-tied in for now.
Between 2 years ago when I built my first and now they decided to get rid of sending things with screws and cables apparently.
Can't build until I can get to a parts store for screws and cables.

In case you haven't noticed..
Posted 10 years agoI have 2 YCH's up. I'm sure you haven't noticed me re-submit them both 10 times just to get starting bids or anything. Sorry/not sorry for the spam.
Life-ception?
Posted 10 years agoLast night I had a dream where I had a dream that I was doing my owed artwork. o.O'
Having dreams within dreams is really intense, and I've been having them alot lately. They get really confusing though and makes it really hard to wake up leaves me with a weird mood...

Opinions on Adoptables
Posted 10 years agoWhat are your guys' opinions? I've never made adoptables before, and I'm curious if they would even be worth my time over standard commissions and I'm probably going to be trying a few ych's. I really want to save up for a new computer and tablet, as my laptop is dying and my cat decided to semi-destroy the functionality of my tablet -.-' I'll be hiding the new one. I really want a nice upgrade, so I'm not planning on only using commission money for the purchase, because that would take forever XD
Icons (Free Stuff!) and Help!
Posted 10 years agoFirst, I want to thank all the people who are watching me already! Thanks, it means a lot!
Now, I'm going to post something crazy.
So I am asking for help. I am curious if anyone knows of any sites/tutorials to help with anthro anatomy/perspective that are really good. Because I am SERIOUSLY lacking in those departments. Well in more departments than that, but that's what I want to work on first XD
Recently I tried a new shading style, as seen on: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16186079/
(i know it's kinda hard to see with all the other crap[bf's icon,bf's bg lol]) and it seems fun/cool, so I want to practice it more.

If anyone wants, they can link to a character ref for a free icon, and I'll randomly pick some characters I like to practice with ^-^ I do not guarantee that they will be awesome, as they are practice and free lol, but I will try! I am hoping if these come out awesome that I'll be able to sell icon commissionsA Welcome to Myself
Posted 10 years agoSo.... how on earth does this site work? I'm going to backload some of my recent work when I figure out how lol!
