I feel like I owe everyone an explanation for where I’ve been lately. Most of my very close friends have already been informed, but I don’t want to leave everyone else out in this case. I have a tendency to be very private about my business, but I imagine there are a few people who may be concerned about my well being.

Astute watchers will notice that I haven’t posted much art anywhere lately. The reason for that was that I had started a new career. As always, I have to be cagey with the details, but it was another public servant job involving assisting people in a crisis. I really enjoyed the job and I thought I was making good progress.

Unfortunately my yearly eval came up and because I hadn’t quite reached the second milestone of the training they asked me to resign. They brought up that I had an open mind about training, a positive attitude and that I hadn’t missed a day of work or was late the entire time. Sadly that didn’t seem to factor in to continuing training. (Weirdly enough they said I could reapply if I wanted to). Needless to say, I’ve never had to quit a job like that before and my self confidence took a pretty grievous wound as a result.

After a week of floating around my house like a ghost, I started putting it behind me, and in some cases, maybe not working there is for the best. I did wind up with a little bit of PTSD from some of my “encounters” on the job. None of my clients ever met with any sort of harm, and I got to do a lot of good helping people. I still have the occasional nightmare from time to time and I’m plagued with intrusive thoughts about my self worth daily. But I don’t know. I think all that is starting to fade away.

Now I’m trying to figure out what I want to do with myself. I do have a degree in another public service field, but I don’t really want to go back to that. My last experience with the job was in a private setting and it killed my passion for it. I ended up quitting that position even though my supervisors had begged me to stay so I could become head of the department.

Throughout the past two years, and even further back than that, I’ve toyed with the idea of actually doing something I want to do. I always wanted to try a claw at being a commission artist. I know it’s risky. I am concerned that turning an enjoyable hobby into a career could be disastrous, but I really don’t want to go back to a regular 9 to 5 job making money for some rich asshole

At the same time, my art isn’t the greatest. I couldn’t charge very much. I have to battle with AI and payment companies that may try to blacklist my accounts because I primarily draw babyfur art. I’ll potentially be taking customers away from my friends who are also full time artists…

Even with all that, I still want to try. I love this community. It’s one of the few places I’m truly happy being in. I love working for you all and drawing your ideas. I also hope that if I make this my job and take it seriously, I can move forward with finishing my comic projects. I’ll never forget about Children of Maeria, and I REALLY want to launch Rainbow Drive asap. I have a decent savings that, if I’m lucky enough with commissions and spend my money carefully, I can survive for a while. I am very fortunate that Kiffin’s job doesn’t appear to be going anywhere, so as long as that doesn’t change I should have time to get my act together.

So yeah. I’ve long put my dreams and interests to the side. I may have been stable financially, but I don’t think I was ever really happy. I was always warded away from directly pursuing my dreams. I’m not as young as I once was, but maybe it’s not too late to don my heirloom armor, take up a splintery lance, call up my friend Sancho, and start tilting at windmills.

Hey there watchers,

It’s been quite a while.

I’ve been keeping tabs on the goings on here on FA, and it sounds like Skiggles and the rest of the crew are trying to do right for us Babyfurs for a change.

As a result, I’ve decided to start posting a few things here again. I figure I should reward good behavior when it is demonstrated (and by “reward,” I mean by posting my art here again… whether that’s truly a reward for the admins or not!).

There’s still a lot of things I’m not sure about here. What content I can post, rules for diaper usage and such. I also would like it if those banned or given strikes previously would have those taken away. There are still a lot of my friends and fellow artists who just don’t have the peace of mind needed to feel safe sharing their work on this site and I would like for that to change.

We’ll see how this goes.

In the meantime, my life has been… volatile. Good for the most part, but the future is uncertain. I switched careers. I like the new job, but I’m not sure I’m capable of measuring up to the standards required to stay there permanently. I haven’t given up hope yet, but I am still trying to mentally prepare myself to accept disappointment should things not work out. Honestly, I don’t know what I’ll do if they don’t. =/

I’m also working overnights nowadays, so that’s come with its own set of challenges and impacts on my life. Socializing with others has been a tad difficult, and not getting adequate sleep depending on what’s going on with the rest of the world hasn’t helped either. Kiffin and I are on opposite schedules so we’re not seeing much of each other either.

The pay is pretty decent though.

In the meantime, the world took a massive shit. The US has gone from its typical low energy Imperialism to a full on openly fascist regime. We’ve got a 24 hour live streamed genocide and are being gaslit into disbelieving our own eyes. Another major middle eastern conflict seems imminent (possibly even World War III, though I don’t know if it will go that far), habeas corpus has been suspended for the most vulnerable of us, families are being split up and some folks are being sent to a maximum security concentration camp in El Salvador, the US’s social safety nets are being dismantled, empathy is being demonized. As usual, those at the top are trying to get us to fear those below us while they continue to destroy our futures and reap the bounty of that destruction for themselves.

Basically, life is scary right now, seemingly more than ever, at least for me. This community has been, and continues to be a place that gives me comfort. A treasure that I absolutely want to contribute to the well-being of… as cringe as it can be sometimes. Now, more than ever, it’s important that we do our best to appreciate this little community of ours while we still have it.

I truly hope that FA will ensure we have a safe place to post our art and interact with our friends. If they start mistreating us again, then I’ll leave just like before. If I continue to see an improvement with the way we are treated here, then I will gladly advocate for others to return as well. Here’s hoping we can be in the good timeline for at least one thing!

This place was a source of so much joy in my life. Thanks to FA, I've forged bonds of friendship with countless awesome folks, some of these bonds lasting for more than a decade. I got to share my weird babyfur art and get so much great critique and responses from my viewers. I'll always remember this site as the place it was, not the place it's become.

Truth be told, when they banned my buddy  friar for a picture of an adult character in a messy diaper (while it may not have been YOUR cup of tea, it was well within the TOS of this place afaik) I probably should have left this place right then and there. Heck, there were probably plenty of reasons to leave before that too. But yeah, it didn't start or stop with Friar. Many of my other artist friends also received unfair bans over the course of the year. I didn't leave because I thought it was just a mistake. Maybe cooler heads would prevail and start steering the site better? Maybe the admins would realize that, for a lot of artists, this place is their storefront and is absolutely integral to their survival in this hellworld of ours? Heck, maybe the admins would be more transparent with their rules and thinking so we could at least know specifically WHY we were banned? I know a lot of babyfurs went to bat for FA when Dragoneer passed. Obviously, doing the right thing for the site and Dragoneer's family doesn't mean that FA would have to treat us fairly and kindly, but it would have been nice if they did.

I'm not planning on deleting my account as I still want to support folks here in some way, but sharp eyed viewers will notice that I've wiped my gallery completely. I don't really know where else I'll post. To be honest, I haven't really felt like sharing my art anyway. I'm sure plenty of folks will be happy to see my art gone, but I do know that tens of people will probably miss it. I've saved every last picture I posted here in a zip file. I don't know where I'm gonna upload it, but if you want it you can message me. It's a big file though, so I'm not sure what place can host it. Advice in this regard will be welcome.

I can only speculate as to the motivations of the admins and, at this point, their very clear crusade against our little slice of the fandom. I can't rule out that they have some justified reasons for going after our content. Maybe it has something to do with a lot of countries cracking down on pornography and the admins are just doing what they gotta do so that the UK doesn't ban them or something? *shrug*

I can't rule out that the recent bans are for unjustified reasons either!

I'll probably be on other places too, but I'm currently in a bit of a lull with my art so I don't know what place I'll ultimately start flooding my art onto. I don't know where I can host Children of Maeria. I don't think the main social media sites are the right place for it. I'd prefer a gallery website, but no place seems to be the new hotness for us babyfurs yet. As stated, I have all of my work saved including a bunch of pages I haven't posted yet.

Thanks for your support everyone. This isn't a call to action or anything like that. If you want to stay on FA then I absolutely will not judge. Heya FA peeps!

I like to give away free art around my birthday. To that end, I'll be doing a stream tomorrow (July 2nd, 2024) starting at 12 PM Eastern Time (9 AM Pacific Time) for the folks that want to pop by and hang out. I specialize in drawing diapered, babyfur stuff, so if you like that sort of thing, you might be interested in this.

It's kind of a weird time, but my week is going to be jam packed with fun, chores, and getting ready to start a new job, so I really have no other time to do this! *nervous laugh*

Would you like a chance at a picture? Here's what you need to do.
1. Read my will draw/won't draw on my commission guide at https://docs.google.com/document/d/.....it?usp=sharing

2. Have a reference or a REALLY good written description of the character you'd like me to draw ready for my stream. OPTIONAL: Have an idea for me to draw or be ready to give me artist choice.

3. Be present at the stream during my raffle drawings.


How do the raffles work?
I'll be using the user entry raffle system on Picarto. Anyone in my chat present when I initiate the raffle will need to click a button to join in. After that, the winner will be selected by RNJesus (AKA a random number generator).

If the user is able to provide me with a reference image OR a very good description of what they want, I will then draw the winner a free single character line art picture that falls within my TOS. The winner may suggest an idea for their picture or allow me to do artist choice.

I will try to draw as many pictures as I can. I can't say when the stream will end. I usually have enough gas for four or five hours, though for occasions like this, I will try to go longer.

Each person may only win ONE picture. If you enter the raffle multiple times and win again, I will have to re-do the thing. So if you win, make sure to sit out the rest of the raffles so other people get a chance!

What the title says.

First off, if there's some sort of moderator clarification for specifically what babyfur content is allowed please link me to it. Nowadays, it seems like sexual content can mean "anything I don't like."

So yeah, I'm operating off the general assumption that used diaper art might be a bit too sketchy to post here. Heck, clean diaper art might be targeted for all I know.

I'll be removing anything from my gallery that has used diapers in it, just to be safe. Make sure you go through my gallery and download what you can if you want to. I think I'll start deleting stuff tomorrow.

With all these new policies, and the way many of my friends have been treated, I'm not so jazzed about being here on FA anymore. I'll still try to post as much as I can here because I know for some, this is their place of choice. I've already refrained from posting obvious messy diaper content here.
