My IP address has been banned for 3 weeks, 3 days, and an odd number of hours because of something my roommate did. For now, at least, I can use the data allowance on my cell phone but that is relatively slow and expensive so I won't be doing that. I may be back when (if?) the ban gets lifted. I may not. When did furry stop being fun and turn into a toxic cesspool of petty cliques hating on each other?

Well, shit. That fucks up what I was doing real good. Why not just nuke them all and be done with? Could have at least given us a warning so we could deal with it.

It is the Wednesday before Anthrocon. I should be kicking back in the DoubleTree munching on one of their awesome cookies. But, after 13 or 14 years as a SuperSponsor, I have chosen not to attend. Why? Well, the new board of directors has made decisions that are taking Anthrocon in directions with which I disagree. And the disingenuous "explanation" for these decisions only compounds the issue. My only way to disagree is to withhold my support for the convention. This I have done.

If you are there or on the way, have fun and behave yourselves. Maybe the board will regain its sanity and I will see you next year. If not, maybe I will see you somewhere else.

For those who knew him, I am sorry to report that Rio (my horse) has passed beyond the veil. He was surrounded by his friends (I was surprised by how many he had!) and will be missed. :(

Time for a new journal so I shall start my Anthrocon checklist:

Membership? Check.
Airline tickets? Check.
Place to stay? Check.
Reservation for Pepper at the critter hotel? Check.
