Gonna be tested for ADHD
Posted a year agoI just got done with today's appointment with my therapist. Two big things came out of this session. One, she tought me how to do square breathing. I can tell that it's going to be far more effective at both managing anxiety attacks and to break my head out of persistent thought loops. I definitely will be putting that breathing exercise to good use. She also wants me to do progressive muscle relaxation too mainly before I go to bed. In addition, she is encouraging me to work on building structure in my life I.e. do things like daily planners and what not.
The second big thing is I did get the referral to get tested for ADHD. The only thing I need to do is keep my eyes open and ears clicked for a phone call to set the appointment for that. If I am diagnosed I won't be surprised one bit since focus is a big issue with me and I exhibit similar symptoms as my brother who is diagnosed.

Generalized Axiety Disorder

I was reviewing my medical records as part of doing E-check in for my appointment on the 13th. Looks like it's an official diagnosis. No suprise there.

Finally.... Scarabeus!!
Posted a year agoI am officially jacked to the moon tonight because finally.....FINALLY.... after spending ages scouring the internet, I found footage of Scarabeus a game I played on my old Commodore C64. I played this game allot because I loved the music in it.
A furry about to go homeless.
Posted a year agoWell a former friend seems to be in a bit of a pickle. Homelessness is somthing I don't wish on anybody. I know two homeless people and another that unalived herself. So I've heard enough of the horror stories to understand the situation sucks to a point it breaks a person. So please at the very least send some positive vibes this fella's way. https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10844562/
Moving from Facebook to Telegram
Posted a year agoTL;DR I'm moving from Facebook to my Telegram Channel Here's an invite link to my channel https://t.me/+lljjLJlmLvYxZThh
Just a heads up. For those following me on Facebook, due to Facebook's algorithms being too overly zealous I am making a transition to my Telegram channel. I had set the channel up and started mirroring my Facebook content there as a way to back up my Facebook stuff should the algorithms start giving me trouble. I had done this because a year and half ago, I could see the writing on the wall that a person like me who much prefers to present myself as the person I am instead of being something I am not to chase clout and/or be a pawn to generate advertiser dollars would run foal of the ever tightening algorithms. As it was, I had already spent a couple of days in Facebook Jail a year and a half ago for "inciting hatred and violence" over mentioning crackers as in the salt snack not the racist term that Facebook in their throws of stupidity thought I meant. (If you are a racist, don't come near me because you are a scumbag not worth my time...just to make that clear) Well earlier this fine night Facebook decided to removed two posts I had made for "inciting hatred and violence" over a joke I made about a weird hair style.
So I take what facebook is doing as a loud and clear message that states *Cracks out my rich snobby voice* "Your kind are not welcomed in our community because you are lowering our property values with your uncouth demeanor. Uuuuunnh."
So okay. Tonight is the night I pack my bags and I move from my Facebook page full time to my telegram channel. That is where you will find content that would have been bound for Facebook until Facebook decided to be a special snowflake and remove my content and try forcing me to be somthing I am clearly not.
On that note. Here is an invite link to my telegram channel. https://t.me/+lljjLJlmLvYxZThh

Some Chipmunk Wisdom
Posted a year agoAnother bit of Chipmunk Wisdom:
If you screwed up and you know you did, Its cold hard reality that it rides hard on your psyche. Its called gilt for a reason. I know because I am an imperfect person just like the rest of you. I come with my own set of flaws that slips through the cracks from time to time from my own self neglect, carelessness, too much hubris, or just plain stupidity. It should be deflating because that is how a healthy amount of guilt slaps you back to your senses so you can deal with the consequences your transgressions and flub-ups as best as you can.
However, I want you to take note that I used "a healthy amount of gilt " for a reason. Thing is when you screw up. You should feel some not so good feelings as I said. It should sting in an amount directly proportional to the severity of your f*ck ups. You SHOULD hold yourself accountable. You SHOULD be remorseful. But there is such a thing as going overboard to a point that you are actually harming yourself rather than learning lessons and doing better.
If you sit there and beat on yourself and tear yourself down when you screw up, that not doing what you should be doing. That is being an abuser. Though its not on somebody else. Its abuse to yourself. You don't learn lessons that way. You don't try patching things up that way. You are transgressing against yourself every time you beat yourself to a pulp for messing up. Its because abuse is abuse rather you do it to yourself or somebody else. I know this because one of my faults is being too hard on myself. I can say from first hand experience that all it does is make it harder to fess up and do what needs to be done to correct things and do better....and it makes it very difficult to take on challenges needed to expand horizons, learn lessons, make and keep friends, and be a better human being.
I'm not saying that when you do screw up to go "oh well" and go on. That's just dismissing the transgression and/or mistake and leaving behind the damage you did instead of doing what needs to be done to fix things. In short, that's a giant d*ck move only a douche canoes do.
Instead, you SHOULD acknowledge what you did. You SHOULD, take responsibility. You SHOULD be remorseful. You SHOULD put genuine effort into fixing things as best as you can. ...AND you should learn and apply the lessons you need to learn in being better and doing better. These are the only way to seek forgiveness from those that you've wronged and learn the hard lessons you need to learn in order to be a better person that does more right than wrong.
What I'm saying, folks, is something simple yet crucial. When you spend more time and energy beating on yourself to a point where you are absolutely miserable, pitiful, and in depressions from "punishing yourself", every time you make mistakes and transgress. That is NOT healing, neither for you nor for those you rubbed the wrong way. It leaves the transgressed asking themselves this: "Why should I forgive the transgressor if the transgressor cannot find it within there own heart to forgive their self?" Do spend a good amount of time thinking about that, people!
Bottom line is its not about making as little mistakes and transgressions as humanly possible. Though you should and MUST minimize those things as best as you can. What determines your integrity in the eyes of your peers and most of all those of the transgressed is how you bounce back from screwing up and how you go about making things right again.

Father of Furry passes away.
Posted a year agoMy fiancee should consider himself very fortunate to have met Mark Merlino aka Sylys Sabel at his first furcon. Mark jumping into furry waaaaay back in 1971, that's right 1971, is considered the founding father of the Furry Fandom. Sadly Mark lost a battle with stage IV liver cancer. Thank you for blazing a trail that has lead to the wonderful and fun thing known as the Furry Fandom. You will definitly be missed by countless of us fuzzbutts. https://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Mark_Merlino
Sorry pal. Comeback when you are 18+!
Posted a year agoIf you are under the age of 18 and eager to do RP of a... how can I put this lightly.... more adult nature, Don't! Just...don't. Alright? Think with your head, not by the newly awakened hormones surging through your body. I know how insatiable those urges are. I was a late teen too in the bygone days of yore. So i know how you feel.
But, if you engage with adults in swanky RP or any other way of cheekiness online. You put yourself at risk of running into some serious trouble, worst case scenario being a sick-o kiddie diddler heading your way IRL and doing the R word on you and you end up an emotional and mental trainwreck for the rest of your life. Putting that first one under your belt right away instead of waiting is not worth that level of soul crushing distruction. Trust me. I know somebody that got R'ed when they were still a kid. Half their mental and emotional problems is because of it.
In addirion, you can get an unwitting adult into a metric eff ton of trouble as well especially if you are the type to hide your actual age until its too late. Society does NOT take kindly to adults even just looking at minors in certain ways. This makes minors eagerly looking to satisfy that itch before legal age into ticking time bombs waiting to go off. The online and IRL scorn, the court cases, prison time, being put on a registry list results in a fate worse than death as a convicted person is striped by society of all volitity as a human being and reduced to nothing but a broken husk never to be a part of society nor live any kind of meaningful life ever again. Putting adults even remotely close to that kind of risk because you are not patient enough to wait until you are 18 is NOT nice. Just sayin'.
What I said here are the primary reasons why I will turn away anybody eagerly looking to get under the sheets before reaching the age of consent. It's wrong on all sorts of levels and puts both the adult and the minor at risks of life destroying, but otherwise avoidable consequences. Have some consideration for your own safety and that of older guys and gals. Wait until your 18 or older before doing adult RPing or any adult activities online and/or IRL.

Founder of Confurence suffered strokes
Posted a year agoYikes! One of the furry fandom's old gautd and founder of Confurence the first furry convention has suffered a series of strokes that's racked up a mountain of medical bills. Some other old school furries known as Vinison and Changa have set up a GoFundMe page to help foot the medical bills. https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-a-t.....ource=customer

64,000 fursuit?
Posted a year ago64,000 dollars for a fursuit that was never completed by a maker nobody has ever heard of. https://youtu.be/ILlD5nLkfkU?si=qZGQJoE48wfpGzIs
......sigh...... *takes glasses off and facepalms*
1. 64k for a fursuit? Isn't there somthing more important to spend that much money on like ....oh dunno.... a Tesla, a huge down payment on a house, paying off student loans, investing, etc?
2. The commissioner must be the most gullible brain dead moron in the observable universe to pay all that money to an unknown fursuit maker and got nothing for it.
3. Even if said commissioner got the fursuit build and in his hands, it better be hyper realistic to the point it looks like a real anthropomorphic creature made by mother nature, complete with moving ears, blinking and moving eyes, articulated jaw, voice, the whole nine yards to be worth all that money.

Paid to draw? ...DRAW!!
Posted 2 years agoSome food for thought.
If you are a budding furry artist trying to break into the scene, it's even more imperative to do the art you have been commissioned to do. If you can't do what your client paid for, promptly issue a refund. Thing is if you pull a stunt like not doing the art a client paid for leaving the client high and dry, you are doing more than hurting the unwitting client. You are also making it harder for other new furry artists to break into the scene as word gets around to other prospective clients to play it safe by sticking with big name incumbent artists for artwork ignoring those new to the game.
Bottom line. If you get paid to do the art, DO....THE...ART, for your sake, the client's sake, and for the sake of new and small artists trying to establish themselves.

Furry gets punched in face by hater
Posted 2 years agoSo at a mosh pit some pile of fecal matter decided that a furry needed to be punched in the face and laid up in the hospital, just because he doesn't like furries.
Two thing on this.
1. When it comes to how things work in a mosh pit, you have fun bumping into each other in tune with the music. A bit of bruises and scrapes are par for the course. ...BUT!!! You DON'T fix your eyes on a person, draw back a fist and punch them in the face so hard you break bones.
2. If you don't like furries, so what? But if your hatred gets to a point you intentionally lay up a furry in the hospital, just because they are different than you are, that says more about you and your scumbaggery than any furry you hate....and..heh....you need some prison time for a criminal act AND, on the civil side, you need to be sued stright into poverty to pay for said furry's medical bills.

Some food for thought
Posted 2 years agoIf the only way to be equal is to tear others down so they are now at your level, you are NOT equal. You are a parasite feeding off the suffering of those you hurt.
Hatred is not a furry exclusive.
Posted 2 years ago"I'm feed up with all this hatred in the furry fandom" .
The toxicity going on in the furry fandom, you know the gate keeping, hate mobs going after those THEY deemed a disgrace, the sh*t talk, and those starting drama over petty stuff,.... Well let's be honest with ourselves. The toxicity going on in furry is not just a furry exclusive thing. Even if you were to delete all your furry accounts, light up your fursuit in a bond fire, and leave the fandom forever, you are not going to escape the hatred. This toxicity that you are feed up with is everywhere because at this point in time the human condition sucks due to all the seismic disruptions happening in society, economics, and geo politics.
Humanity as a whole is going through the biggest most drastic changes since the transition from hunter/gatherers to agrarian societies. Change and disruptions are everywhere. As a result people are scared. When people are scared, logic and discipline takes a back seat to irrationally and self preservation, a state of mind in which new things upending the old and things that are difficult to understand along with individuals and groups that don't adhere to perceived norms are viewed more as threats than anything else reguardless if they are indeed malicious, malign, or have great benefits to offer. Seismic disruptions instilling fear and uncertainty into people is why there is allot more hatred nowadays than back in times when I was a kid.
Even the furry fandom, despite all the claims of being loving and accepting, has been overrun by hatred for years now. Behind the fursonas and fursuits, behind the furry art and creativity are human beings who deep down are just as scared of what all these disruptions are doing as the rest of humanity. Therefore furries too are under that same spell of irrationally and self preservation and as such tend to view people and new things that don't align with what they see as normal as threats that must be attacked and gotten rid of. Hence why there is all this hatred going on in the furry fandom.
There is really not much that can be done to change the human condition. Nor is there anything that can be done to stop the hatred that has overrun the fandom. The only thing that will fix the human condition, to which the fandom is a part of since we furries are human beings too, is for these disruptions happening all around us to run their course and humanity getting the lay of the land and adapt to it once all the smoke and dust finally settles down. Then maybe, just maybe, the human condition will improve and along with that the furry fandom can be that loving and accepting fandom we all hedged our bets on once again.
Until the human condition improves, you the furry and you the human being in general will need to find ways to get through this transition and make it to the otherside in one piece. Don't worry about the haters. They are merely scared and desparately trying to hold on to fleeting moments that simply can't be bottled up and preserved against the shifting sands of time. Besides haters will always hate anyway no matter how frustrated of them you are.
Instead there things you can do to help yourself to make it to the otherside of all these disruptions. Focus on the friends that you do have, I mean the people that genuinely care about you and have stuck with you through thick and thin. Do your best to disallow yourself to be overrun by your own fears and instead be a positive light to those you care about. Do not worry about the turbulence of the world around you and instead change for the better what you can change within yourself and what is within your sphere of influence. Simply doing these things will not only help you. It will help your friends and anybody in your social circles to get through these turbulent times as well.
Stay strong people. We will get through this.

Mediterranean Diet
Posted 2 years agoJust got back from the appointment with the dietitian. She gave me allot of Info I needed as well as suggesting what's called the Medditerainian Diet. It's based on what foods folks on that region eat. It should taste good, and do well for my health both in the short and long term. It's going to take a bit of work to transition my kitchen to work with this diet and soaking in allot of info. But it should be worth it. Wish me luck.

Tamias health update - 9-22-2023
Posted 2 years agoHello all. This is Phloppy Bunny filling in for my fiancee Tamias.
I just wanted to update everyone on Tamias's health status.
Before anything else, please don't worry. It's not bad news or anything.
Yesterday, he had the drain they put in his midsection taken out.
A pretty painful process. And, though I'm no doctor... I'm sure the fact that the doctors gave him no local anesthesia to numb up the area of the tube they were taking out of him didn't help.
But, from what the doctors told us, it had to be done that way, because since the area was already tender to begin with, they couldn't. Or, something to that effect, basically.
At any rate, I'm happy to say that Tamias continues to slowly keep getting better with each passing day.
And, the final hurdle to clear will be in late October when they have him back in for 1 more surgery to remove the stent they put in him.
Of course, even after that, the healing process will still continue.
This is something that will take some months yet to fully recuperate from. And, even then, his food diet will be different. Since, without a gall bladder, digesting fatty foods certainly Isn't the same afterward.
Most of all though, I'm just glad that Tamias is still here on this Earth with me. Because, had he not gotten the operation on his gall bladder, there was only just so much time before something VERY catastrophic happened.
The doctors told his father that he had maybe about a week before his gall bladder burst.
And, that would have obviously been VERY catastrophic for both Tamias, and myself, and all his friends and family.
So, this operation Tamias had saved his life, to be honest.
Tamias has DEFINITELY done well taking this whole major health issue on head first as best he could.
I'm VERY proud of him. And, I feel that he has every right to be proud of himself. Because, certain medical procedures, such as surgeries, are not really a small thing.
Tamias's midsection tummy area is still pretty sore, but with that drain tube now taken out of him, It's one more hurdle that was cleared.
The sooner my fiancee gets better, the happier we'll both be for it.
