I think that pretty much sums it up well! Things are complicated and messy, and I hope more than ever that all my dear friends out there are doing alright.

As for myself, recent events have flipped my life upside down. I don't want to get into too many details yet, but to put it simply, I've had to move out of my home.

My cat and I moved into a little basement suite by ourselves last week. Don't worry, we're safe and everything... but, it has meant a lot of unexpected complications, expenses, and other things to deal with.

I know things are tight for so many people right now, but on the off chance that anyone is interested in a fun little (SFW only) commission, send me a note! I don't have my prices sorted out, but I'm happy to discuss ideas and negotiate to fit within budgets.

The distraction, as well as extra funds to help me sort out my new life, would be greatly appreciated in these troubled times.

If you read my previous journal, you'll know I was recently scrambling to help a friend of mine who was in trouble.
I just wanted to share how things are looking now.

Thanks to the help from some amazing friends, I was able to get him off the street for a night and give him some much needed food money. He since found a social worker who helped push his file forward, and not only got him approved for disability, but even helped him find a place to live!

He'll still be mostly on the street until Sunday, but he's hanging in there now, and seems to finally have some hope.

Due to time restraints in my life I'm mainly offering portraits (although if you have something bigger in mind, just ask. It just might take me longer to finish)

The Situation:

A friend of mine is suicidal, and I'm trying everything I can to keep him alive. He made an attempt already, was in the hospital for awhile, and was discharged two days ago. He keeps returning to the hospital because he keeps having urges to try again, and his situation is dire (homeless and broke).

He lives far away from me, so I'm not there to help him in person. I sent him the money I had so he could eat, but it wasn't much. Tomorrow he has an appointment to receive income assistance, but for tonight I want to rent him a motel room so he has somewhere safe and dry to sleep. He's been staying at a local shelter, but he said the drunk angry people there just make his emotional state worse...

Soooo, any help would be amazing. I want to rent him a room for the night, and send him some more money for food if I can!!

I'm hitting the road!

Later this year we'll be selling almost everything we own, buying an RV, and going on an adventure.

For a year or two we'll be bouncing around North America. Most of the time will be spent in Canada because of time limits for crossing the border, but I do really want to see a bunch of the US as well.

Sooo, where should I go? Of course I've got some things I really want to see, but I'm also open to any recommendations of places to go or things to see/do!

Anywhere in North America is a possibility, so any suggestions are welcome! :D

For those curious, I've been to the doctor and had everything sorted out. Now I'm on the road to recovery! It sucks, my body is reeeally not liking it, but it will be worth it in the long run!

Hello all!

I figured it's been awhile since I've given much of an update around here, so why not! As you may or may not have noticed, I've been drawing and spending more time here lately. It's been so nice to be around again! I forgot how much the community and being surrounded by all the awesome furry art makes me happy :)

As for what this kitty has been up to, it's been a lot of work and life shenanigans. To be honest I went through some pretty big bouts of anxiety, which was part of the reason I started disappearing as much as I did. Luckily it's being dealt with, and under better control, so here I am!

I've also got some big life plans in the works, which is another step in feeling better. I function better when I have goals and plans. One of those includes moving overseas for a year or two next August! Most likely to South Korea, but Japan and China are also on the table (depending on work). If anyone here knows how much I've always wanted to to go Japan, you'll know how excited I am!! *Bouncy purring kitty!!*

Also if anyone has any recommendations before going, moving tips, things to see, etc, I am always open to hearing them! I have been reading/watching so much about moving there, it's almost turning into an obsession, heh.

On that note, I'm also looking to clear out my debt before going. I have lived very close to the wire when it comes to debt/survivability for years, often not being able to make payments and all that jazz... Well, it's going to be very hard to move under those circumstances, so over the next year I'm going to be opening up commissions here and there to help deal with it.

So if any of you (or anyone you know) is interested in a commission, send me a message! I like doing it on a Pay What You Want scale. That way you can choose what's best for you, and we will agree on what kind of sketch, ink or colour would work.

Also, I don't mind tasteful nudity, or suggestive themes, but I prefer not to draw porn or anything too extreme. Not that it bothers me, I just prefer not to draw it, so if you're curious whether I'll draw something, just ask! I won't bite :)

It's been a month and a half since he came home (yup, little delayed on the updates!) When I got him, he was underweight from being the runt of the litter, but since then he has grown like crazy, and is doing really well!

Yes, it's me. The illusive flying puma. It may seem a little startling, but I am fact *gasp* still alive!!

But alas, life has had me so busy that I haven't had as much time to draw or frequent this place as I would I like... I still draw, but most of it doesn't leave my sketchbooks these days.

Enough of that blather, on to the reason you might be here. I'm opening up some commissions to any who would are interested! Here's the deal, for the first time in many years I will soon be sharing my home with an adorable little kitten. Seriously, an itty bitty kitty! Cutest little ball o' fluff you ever laid your eyes on. To those curious, a Ragdoll kitten. And to those still curious, they are my absolute favourites <3

Unfortunately the little fuzzball comes with a hefty price, for both adoption and of course initial kitty supplies. My options are to kick it into overdrive at my studio and work extra hours, or to find another avenue. And well, frankly, I miss art. I love it, and I love trying to bring to life the ideas that people bring my way. So to all you lovely furries who have inquired about commissions in the past, now's your chance! Pfft, look at me, sounding as though this is actually exciting to people *snort* :3


Aaaaanyways, I'm looking to gather up $500 (canadian) between various commissions to cover the adoption and supplies fees.

Now, I'm not setting prices. Instead I'm setting a few standards.

This is a "Pay What you Want" commission (minimum $10 to make it worth the paypal fees) The quality of work you get will at least match or exceed the value.

So on average, $10 will get you a sketch, $25+ will likely get you linework, $60+ will get you a coloured picture. $100+ will get you something with some serious blood, sweat and tears, and the solid $500 will turn me into your art slave, haha.

If anyone is actually interested, payment would be needed by July 15th so I get it in time before the kitten is ready to come home. All commissions would be finished before the end of September (bear in mind I do this in my spare time, and spend a lot of time on each piece... Hence the length of time)

But, each piece would be done with an adorable kitten on my lap, and lots of love and appreciation! :3

Yes! As the journal name implies... I FINALLY went Sky Diving!

On Sunday I went for it. Talk about absolutely amazing. It was incredible. The view, the wind, the adrenaline. I loved every minute of it, and yes I WILL do again! Hopefully sooner rather than later.

I did a tandem jump, so I was strapped to my instructor, but that allowed us to go to 10,000 feet, and freefall for half of it.

This was actually a goal of mine. Well, to be honest this was a goal for my mom and me. We planned to go sky diving by the time I was 25. She is no longer around, so I was determined to still complete our goal, and I went on my own.

Feels good to complete a goal I've been hanging onto for 10 years :3

So, it's been bugging me lately that I have yet to go to a good sized furry convention.

I've been to small meets, camping trips, and small events like Howloween, but never any of the big Cons like FC and such. Well, lately my craving to get more involved in the community has been kicking up a bit. I almost dropped off the face of the earth due to personal drama and getting life back on track. But I'd like to change that and start getting out more... I miss my fuzzy friends!

I think I'd like to go to some sort of Con next year. This year won't work financially, I'm already going to PAX and a Drupal con... So I'll have to wait until next year.

I pose a question to all the convention goers, if I'm gonna come down to the US sometime next year for a Con, which one do you recommend? Just a little update from the world of the Winged Puma!

Things are going well these days, tomorrow I get to go into a studio to discuss the possibility of a job. That'll be awesome if it works out, an actual salary position to keep me alive, and let me get paid to build more websites. :D

I've got a few commissions in the works, which I'm excited to be working on. You guys are awesome, and it's so great to be back in the art world.

And last but not least, I'm in the process of putting my personal website together. It probably won't be done for a few weeks with everything else I have going on, but I'm working on it here and there.
