Green Update For February
Posted 14 years agoHey guys. Just thought I'd remind you all that I'm still alive and doing stuff.
My Let's Plays are trucking along, I finished Darksiders a couple weeks ago, and I'm currently doing Dead Space (only threeish years late :B) and I'm quite enjoying myself so far, even though I normally hate horror games because I'm a wuss. To be honest, I'm not sure if I'd have kept playing if it weren't for the incentive that I was filming myself. Wouldn't want to look like a loser online, after all.
Said the author best known for writing incestuous furry porn. <_<
>_> Hey you, knock it off.
Working on a handful of stories, mostly standalones, not sure which one will be done first. The most likely candidates are Extracurricular Activities, about a pair of high school students taking advantage of an abandoned locker room, and User Friendly, which involves a hamster computer programmer and his creation, an accidentally sentient program who is, let's say, a tad more positive towards organic life than most rogue A.I.s...
I actually finished a story last month, it was called, quite subtly, His Big Little Bitch. In keeping with my favourite theme, it's about a pair of step-brothers getting down to some very un-brotherly actions. The good news is that it is, in my opinion anyway, very, very hot. The bad news (for you guys, anyway) is that I've submitted it to Heat magazine!
See, Heat publishes erotic furry stories, but they have this thing where they almost certainly won't select a story if it's previously been published anywhere else, and that includes online. Even more unfortunately, Heat is an annual publication, generally released to coincide with Anthrocon in June or July. This year's issue is #8... but they finished story selection for that one long ago and are currently in the production stage.
The earliest I'd be able to get in is issue #9, so while I got a form letter acknowledging that they received my entry, I won't even know if they liked the story until about August, and even if they love the hell out of it, the general public wouldn't be able to read it until next June/July when issue 9 comes out. Ouch.
Well, if they turn it down, I'll be posting it online, of course, but I'm trying to think positively in terms of publication here.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know how things are going, and don't worry, I'll try to finish a story that you guys can actually read soon.
Keep it Green.

Quick Clarification
Posted 15 years agoI've gotten a few comments here and on other sites regarding Consequences, my latest story, that made me want to clear some things up.
I know not everybody was a big fan of adding an /F to the M/M on the most recent Eric and Milo story. Sure, I get that. But the female action will not, I repeat not, become a permanent fixture of that particular series. Don't get me wrong, there will be more stories with Anne in them, and I'm actually planning a story right now about Milo and his friend Angela Taylor, but there'll still be plenty of plain old M/M stories about the brothers by themselves. That's why Anne gave her little 'ground rules' speech at the end there.
I hope I've made things a little clearer.
On an unrelated topic, lately I'm finding it easier to come up with plotlines involving the Thompsons, since there's three of them to work with, not even including any friends like Gela they may have, than for the Parrishes, since there's just Dave and Kelly, and being in love (and having to hide their relationship from friends, I might add) they're not really the 'random threesome' type anyway. This is actually kinda frustrating for me since I feel it's been a while since I did a really high-quality Dave and Kelly story, and I wanted to come back to them. :P

Hail to thee, placeholder (ask a drunk writer whatever)
Posted 15 years agoThis is not me linking to the machinima song, this is me pushing that rather tall journal off the front of my page.
Oh, also I'm drunk, but that has very little to do with that.
I seem to recall the tradition is that when Green gets drunk, people ask him things. Yes... let's go with that.
Anyone?

2010, Year in Review
Posted 15 years agoSo here we are again, at the beginning of another year. 2010 kinda sucked, honestly. Had its shining moments, and some of those were very shiny indeed, but for the most part I'd rather just forget about it. :P
Complaining aside, let's see how I did last year. I already know it won't be as good as 2009's perfect streak...
January
My Weekend with Sharon: 2010 started off strong with a stand-alone (for now) that remains one of my favourite stories. Anthony goes to a remote spa to give his twin sister Sharon a ride home, but a storm washes out the only road leading out, so they're forced to spend the weekend together in very close proximity in Sharon's hotel room...
February
FAIL: ...And I promptly drop the ball by failing to get even a two-month streak going.
March
Another Year Older: Okay, so this one was posted to FA in April, but I wrote it in March, so I'm counting it. After a rough day at the office, birthday boy Benjamin North comes home to his loving wife Vanessa... and her extra-special surprise present for him. Originally written for a contest on SoFurry. Came in second!
April
Dave and Kelly: The Next First Time: Kelly wants to try something new in bed with her boybrotherfriend, and Dave is only too happy to indulge her, but there's something weird about her behaviour that troubles him...
May
Eric and Milo: Milo's Turn: Released on my own birthday as a present to all of you, this one's about Milo finally getting to "wear the pants" while getting busy with his brother. Featuring a cliffhanger ending that took half a year for me to resolve. Whoops!
June
Honestly? I dropped the ball on this one. Didn't finish any stories at all in June, unless you count the couple of paragraphs in Her Nightly Ritual, which was literally a joke. However, in the interests of seeing as few FAILs as possible, I'll use a story I finished on May 31st and posted to FA in the wee hours of June 1st.
Life Imitates Art: Anthony the bee is working on his drawing at the local library, and becoming quite frustrated with it, until a handsome canine joins him at the table, curious about his art... or is it the artist? Written as a gift for
Beeboi.
July
FAIL: Stupid summer, being so distracting.
August
Mind Games: Also written for a contest, this time being held here on FA, I thought I'd try a new spin on hypnosis/mind control stories by making it something other than mental domination and someone being unwillingly made into an obedient sex slave. Namely, it's about a young chameleon hypnotist named Jasmine who puts her friend Ryan into a trance because she genuinely wants to help him... and of course, it being me, I threw in a dash of romance for flavour. n_n
September
Kelly: Sleep with Myself: Written partially because I missed Dave and Kelly and partially to reassure myself that I was still physically capable of finishing a story in a decent amount of time, this short is about Kelly waking up in the middle of a naughty dream (ain't that always the way?) and having to "scratch that itch" herself since Dave isn't home.
October
Very Public Transit: Inspired by a silly conversation I had with
Nogard, this short features a fennec named Ted who finds that one of the personable ghosts who haunts his home has followed him onto the bus, and wants to have some R-rated fun with him... and he doesn't get much say in the matter.
November
Rise and Shine: A Dave and Kelly Short: This quickie is about our favourite felines doing what comes naturally (if a bit taboo) in the warmth of the kitchen. What a nice way to start the day! :3
December
Eric and Milo: Consequences: The story that probably should have filled June or July's gaps, this is the conclusion to the cliffhanger in Milo's Turn. After getting caught doing the nasty by their sister Anne, Eric and Milo have to face the music for their unconventional method of stress relief. But what consequences does Anne have in mind?
Well, that actually wasn't as bad as I thought. Only two blatant failures, out of twelve months. Still, June was only a technical victory, all three Autumn months saw only short stories that took far less effort than my usual work, and March's story didn't get posted to FA for a whole month. On top of that, if you look closer, you'll notice that in 2009, not only did I post a major story every single month without failure, but several months had more than one full-sized story to choose from when I was writing that year-in-review journal last January.
Still, this was actually kind of constructive for me. 2010 was a rough year, and I had serious trouble with my writing, but it's not as bad as I thought it was, figured there'd be just as many totally empty months as actual postings. 2009 was an ideal year, really. Now I have a realistic target to beat! Here's hoping 2011 is a better year for me, in writing and otherwise, and I hope it's great for you guys too.
Thanks so much for sticking out the long droughts in my posting schedule. I'll do my best not to let you down.

Posted 15 years agoI'm in a good mood today.
And I thought I would share this good mood with you and list off a few things that make me smile.
How about...
- Adorable animals! Like kittens and bugs and doggehs and all kinds of other stuff!
- Being with family! My family's all together for the first time in months. The holidays are always fun like that.
- When movies I really like get a sequel or two. n_n
- One more kitten for good measure.
- Finally finishing a story I've been stuck on! If you haven't noticed, Consequences, the new Eric and Milo story, delayed for about half a year now, is finally uploaded to FA. You can find it here.
Silliness aside, I'm feeling better now than I have in weeks, and I hope you guys all have a happy holiday season.
Merry Christmas, FA. n_n

Oh no!
Posted 15 years agoI've been so distracted these last couple of weeks, I missed my fourth FAnniversary! I signed up to Fur Affinity on December 3, 2006.
Granted, I was a lurker for most of the first two years, but still, hard to believe it's been four years. :o
Missed it last year too, actually, but that was because the servers were down on the third.
Ah well. Back to writing.
JOURNAL OVER.

If you take a sock with a hole in it
Posted 15 years agoAnd you patch up the hole with different fabric, is it the same sock?
Well, yes, obviously, that's a silly question. It's the same sock with a patch on it.
But what if you keep patching up holes in the sock as they appear, and eventually the sock is made up entirely of patches?
If no physical parts of the original remain, is it still the same sock?

Ladies and Gentlemen
Posted 15 years agoI am utterly wasted right now. If there was ever a time for honest answers to questions, now is it. What do you want to know about Green?
Zombie fursona? No thank you!
Posted 15 years agoSeen a lot of people making pictures of their fursonas as zombies in honour of Pumpkins and Candy Day next week.
That's all well and good, but it occurred to me (after entirely too much thought on the subject) that Zombie Vinnie is not something most people would want to lay eyes on.
See, I've only really depicted it once, when he turned into a nondescript blob of meat in a fit of depression, but Vincent doesn't just change into other people, he rearranges the whole layout of his body, guided entirely by his mind.
And zombies aren't real big on the whole deep thinking scene; what passes for a guiding intellect in your average undead is basically 50% blind aggression and 50% ravenous hunger.
So with that delightful combination in control, Vinnie's soft, sleek pelt and not-too-thin-but-not-too-built arms and legs would suddenly give way to... whatever exactly a creature designed entirely for the purpose of murder and cannibalism would look like. I would imagine his skeleton would get quite the workout, being remade into spikes, blades, extra mouths... all that and the flesh is slowly decaying.
To sum up, he would probably look quite a bit like something out of Dead Space (example), but with a big green slavering tongue hanging out the middle. Yikes!
I just wanted to share this mental image with you, because I know it's going to be stuck with me for a while! n_n

Hey Guys
Posted 15 years agoI just wanted to make sure you guys know that I haven't abandoned you or anything.
Yes, some of my free time lately has been invested in my video side project, but that's not the problem.
I've just been finding it incredibly difficult to finish stories lately. I currently have, in various stages of development:
- An Eric and Milo story, a follow-up to Milo's Turn which I have titled "Consequences", in which the Thompson brothers face the music after getting caught in the act by their sister Anne.
- A (very) long-awaited sequel to A Blue's Embrace, called "A Blue's Acceptance", in which our farmer brings the dragoness back to his home town, with all the family awkwardness that brings with it.
- A pair of standalone stories I've been meaning to write forever, called "User Friendly" and "Her Biggest Fan". One is about incest, one is not.
And while I haven't started writing it, I do have a story in mind for Dave and Kelly, somewhat more trying for the two of them than previous stories have been.
I am working on these things, I've just found it a struggle for the last few months. I apologize for not getting these things out faster, I often feel like I'm letting people down.
I really appreciate that you guys are willing to wait while I work through this stuff. It's been five months since Milo's Turn, I never meant to let it go that far without wrapping up a cliffhanger.
I know I've asked this before, but please bear with me, I am working through this, and I hope to have something for you to enjoy soon.

Posted 15 years agoSo you remember Midnight? Adorable kitten, got her for my birthday this year?
Well, she's substantially bigger now, and I don't know if I mentioned this, but at the same time Midnight was adopted, my sister adopted one of her brothers, an orange tabby she named Mushu, after the dragon from Mulan.
Mushu was brought over this weekend while my sister chills in town. He and Midnight spent most of the day chasing each other around the house and biting each other, as playful young cats are known to do...
But apparently just now Mushu was caught trying (unsuccessfully) to get his hump on with his sister. <_<;;;
(They haven't been fixed yet, you see, still too young)
I know the term is overused a lot, but I think this genuinely qualifies as Irony.

So, Con happened.
Posted 15 years agoAnd it was fun! I met lots of nice people, tried strange and exotic American foods and drinks (American Coke tastes like Canadian Pepsi. Weird!), partially saw a bunch of movies on HBO, and went to some genuinely interesting discussion panels.
I also bought a T-shirt with nothing on it but a paw print, which I like because it's a tad more subtle than those LOOK HERE I'M A FURRY shirts I saw all over the place, and two prints of very nice pictures from the talented
Soulscape, who I somehow wasn't previously aware of. Rectified!
This one and this one, if you were wondering.
So yes. Much fun was had at RainFurrest. n_n

Posted 15 years agoYep, I'm actually going to a con for once. SHOCK!
I figured I should take this opportunity to be part of the Cool Crowd and do the obligatory Con Meme.
Arrival and Departure:
Friday morning, Monday night.
Staying at:
The Hilton, just down the street from RF.
Mode of Transportation:
I dunno, feet? I'm flying to Seattle, but not renting a vehicle once I get there or anything.
Room Share:
Forneus.
Major Plans at the Con:
None! Gonna play it by ear. Wander around, look at stuff, not get murdered. You know. Stuff.
Who Will I be with:
Be hanging with Manta a lot, hopefully gonna be meeting people left and right though.
Fursuit(s):
If it's really important to you, pretend I'm Vinnie Changed into the shape of a Canadian.
Attending Parties:
There are parties? :B
How best to find me:
On Friday, I'll be wearing a bright green shirt, that should make it easy. Continuing the theme, I'll be wearing a hat of similar hue most of the rest of the time. Other than that, look for the Canadian with the chinbeard and the goofy grin.
Stage Performance:
Ha ha, no. n_n
Drink:
Like a sponge.
Smoke:
Not in public. u_u </cryptic>
Hugs:
You'd better believe it.
Talk:
Be kind of weird to go to one of these things and not talk, eh?
Art:
I don't draw, but some people try to convince me that my stories qualify for the term. ;)
Do you do trades?
I'd love to, but alas, stories take a great deal of time and I shan't be bringing my computer.
What is your gender?
Male.
>_> That one was no fun.
How old are you?
Twenty-five.
>_> That one neither.
Can I touch you?
That depends entirely on who you are and where your hands have been. XD
Can I buy you lots of drinks?
Sure?
Can I give you lots of money?
That would be a Yes. Capital Y.
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
See the touching question. u_u
How tall are you?
Six foot nothing.
You look pissed off out of suit can I come up to you?
What? :u
Are you nice?
Very much so. n_n
Are you cliquey?
Only if by "cliquey" you mean "socially inept".
Can I stalk you?
What? 8u
Do you like parties?
Well that depends on how awesome the party is, of course. I've been to fantastimazing parties and totally crap parties.
If I see you, how should i get your attention?
Saying "Hi" or "Hello" is a good start.
Are you fursuiting?
Didn't you already ask that question? And didn't I give a snarky response? The answer is still no. :P
Can I ask ya to dance with me during the dances?
Again: Who are you, and how well do I know you.
Can I buy breakfast, lunch, or dinner sometime?
Well, I do like eating... P:
Can I take a picture of ya?
I recently found out that that doesn't actually steal my soul, so by all means! :D
Can I steal ya away for *censored*?
Who wrote this meme, anyway? XD
Would ya like to get a commission done of ya?
I'm a furry, of course I do. :B Sadly, I'm not what you'd call wealthy at this point.
Wanna cuddle at the con?
That depends on who's asking. |3
You like Shiney's?
Is that an American thing, an Internet thing, or a Con thing? :u
During the Fursuit Games what team ya being on?
The who in the what now?
Wanna play some Xbox games?
This is going to be just past a week after the release of Halo: Reach, so hells yeah I do! 8D
I won't be bringing my Xbox, so it wouldn't effect my account, but I'd still enjoy playing for funsies.
Wanna take a photo of me too if I'm suiting?
Probably, gonna take all kinds of pictures after all!
I'm really looking forward to this con, even if I apparently barely understand it! XD
Anyone else reading this journal heading to Seattle this month? :3
Room Share:
Forneus.Major Plans at the Con:
None! Gonna play it by ear. Wander around, look at stuff, not get murdered. You know. Stuff.
Who Will I be with:
Be hanging with Manta a lot, hopefully gonna be meeting people left and right though.
Fursuit(s):

My silly side project, which you didn't know about
Posted 15 years agoSo! These days I have kind of a lot of spare time on my hands, and while I've started writing again (at least a little) in the past few days, I wanted something to occupy my time.
So I made a Let's Play.
A Let's Play, for the less nerdy among you, is a series of videos where you play all the way through a video game while recording your progress and making commentary over the action. It was after watching an LP of an especially awful game called Martian Gothic by a guy named Mike Nnemonic that I finally decided to actually make one of my own, something I'd been toying with for a while.
I picked a game I received on a birthday ten long years ago, but never actually finished. American McGee's Alice. I post about it because after all these years, I finally beat the game today, and I have an online video series to prove it! XD
Here's episode 1, if you're interested.
(By the way, my YouTube username, "BurningDogFace", is an obscure reference to a flash animation series, and in no way supports cruelty to animals. Just thought I'd make that clear cause, you know, FA...)
Can't think of a way to end this journal, so I'll fall back on the old gem.
JOURNAL OVER.

A Trip to the Zoo
Posted 15 years agoSo yeah, posting this after I put up those photos (which were four among like 200 I took today XD) seems kind of superfluous, but yes, I went to the Metro Toronto Zoo today.
Here's a short list of things I saw, in no particular order.
- A snapping turtle about three feet wide
- A pair of jaguars play-wrestling in a manner very similar to that of my kitten Midnight and her brother Mushu when they get together
- An orangutan drinking out of what appeared to be a carton of milk
- Many, many sleeping tigers. Also, a sleeping lion (though the lioness was a little active) and a family of sleeping lynxes all cuddled together. Awwww.
- A rhinoceros, just chilling by a large bale of hay
- An oddly large number of owls that looked hungover
- A tank full of piranha slightly larger than my fist
- A polar bear taking a nap, leaning against the viewing window
- Peacocks and peahens wandering casually around the area around the on-site restaurant, a combination Coyote Jack's and Pizza Pizza (One peahen, followed by four or five kids, walked so close I could have bent over and picked her up)
- An incredible number of seagulls basically everywhere that wasn't indoors
I could keep going all day, really. There were a few things I didn't see, unfortunately. As I mentioned in passing in the bear picture, there were several animals that were (and here I quote a recurring sign) "Temporarily off display due to weather or exhibit conditions". This unfortunately included the arctic foxes, which I was really looking forward to seeing with my own eyes.
Also, the African Rainforest pavilion was closed for renovations, so i didn't get to see meerkats, warthogs, a whole bunch of species of bats, or several varieties of fish. Also also, the rays and the sharks were enclosed in a new special building (the creatively named "Sharks and Stingray Bay") that required a separate fee to gain admittance. Honestly, I wouldn't have minded paying to get in, but we were running late by the time we finished everything else, and it wouldn't really have been worth it to pay for the small amount of time left before closing. Which is a bummer because I was also looking forward to seeing a manta ray.
But all in all I had a great time, and I really enjoyed myself. Just wanted to share some of that with you guys. :3

Posted 15 years agoI've felt unusually unproductive since I finished Mind Games, I haven't really accomplished much of anything since then, story-wise. I've tried to work on the new Eric and Milo, but that has mostly consisted of staring blankly at the document window.
I'm not fishing for sympathy or trying to excuse my lazy ass, I just felt like sharing my frustration with you guys. I don't know if it's writer's block or if I've just got a motivation problem, but it sure as hell ain't much fun.
Bear with me, guys, I'll figure something out.
EDIT: I just realized I completely missed this 'commenter appreciation day' thing, which I think was a great idea. My bad. I always try to reply to comments, and I gotta say, you guys are awesome. I've never received an openly hostile comment, even given the, let's say "unusual" nature of some of my stories. I would like to thank each and every one of you who's ever left a comment on one of my stories. It always warms my heart to know that people enjoy my writing.

SHAZBOT
Posted 15 years agoI just realized today was August 1st. (Shows how up-to-date I am with current events)
That means I got through all of July without posting anything more substantial than that silly voice clip a couple weeks ago. :(
And if you want to be technical about it, I posted Life Imitates Art in the waning moments of May 31st, so I got through all of June without anything better than that toothbrushing fetish joke story. ;-;
I'd like to apologize for this ginormous gap in my release schedule, and tell you that I'm close to being done with the story I'm currently working on, so I'm pretty confident that I'll have something worthwhile out before August is over. Who knows, I might even (finally) finish the follow-up to my Eric and Milo cliffhanger.
My bad. I'll try not to let it happen again in the future. : P

Actually relevant for once
Posted 15 years agoHey guys, just thought I'd let you know that I am in fact still alive, and that I'm sorry it's been a while since I posted a story. (Her Nightly Ritual notwithstanding. <_<)
I was actually getting some serious work done on Consequences, the next Eric and Milo story (which looks like it's gonna be a doozy, it's already 12 pages long), but I decided to put it on hold for a bit so I could work on a slightly more time-sensitive piece, a story for
Zsisron's lizards-and-hypnosis contest, which you can read about here.
Mine is going to be called "Mind Games". I think you can guess which category it falls into. n_n
I'm not sure how well the hypnosis part itself is actually going to come out, I've never written a story like that before. But I'm still enthusiastic about the overall story.
And once I get that done, I'll go right back to Consequences, I don't intend to leave my GSD fans twisting in the wind.
In the meantime, I hope you'll put up with my delays, and I thank you again for reading my stories. n_n
Keep it Green.

Happy Canada Day!
Posted 15 years agoSo the merest glance at my profile should reveal that I'm one of those
CanadianFurs, so it should come as no surprise that I want to wish all my fellow Canucks a Happy Canada Day. n_n
We're the raddest country there is (even if most of the other countries seem to disagree for some reason), so hold your head high and be proud to be a hoser. Then go apologize to someone for your arrogant thought. I heard the Canadian Furs group I linked to up there is having a get together in Ottawa today, but alas, I cannot make it. Hope it goes splendidly though.
Don't really have much else to say, so here's the first link I could think of, and you go have yourselves a great day.
And as for everybody who doesn't live up here, well, have a nice Thursday I guess. Happy July!

Ho-hum.
Posted 15 years agoSo here I am, sitting around, not chilling at Anthrocon with the Cool Furries. Really really bored, thought I'd do another episode of Random Thoughts from Green's Head. This should be stupid again fun again!
1. It turns out a lot of the people I IM with these days are off in Pittsburgh. Sigh. </diva>
2. My brothers and I got together today and played three-player Doom II on the 360. Hysterical. My youngest brother killed me at least once per level totally by accident. XD
3. Been working on my next story, it's the follow-up to the Eric and Milo cliffhanger. Gonna call it "Consequences". It's looking to be long.
4. Found a story contest that looks interesting, the only criteria are that it needs to be red-bordered, have at least one scalie as a major character, and involve hypnosis or some variety of mind control as a theme. Need to figure out a plot for that one.
5. While I'm on the subject of stories I should be writing, it's been more than a year since I published A Blue's Embrace, I really need to get around to the next one. :P
6. Holy crap do I ever love MS Paint Adventures. I'm almost sorry that I'm finally caught up with Homestuck, because now I can't just click over and find out what happens next.
7. Hey wait, is there such thing as a male diva? Divo? Was that a band? Hmmm...
8. Dopefish lives!
9. инцест = рульно
Alright, I can't think of anything else at the moment, so that concludes this profoundly silly journal.
This has been Random Thoughts from Green's Head. I'm your host, TastesLikeGreen. u_u

Holy eff look at this game
Posted 15 years agoSo.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising.
I was gonna do a long thing here about how people assumed it would suck because it was also for 360, and because the Guy Who is Not Solid Snake is the hero...
But instead of that, I'll just link to this trailer and say oh my god he cut that man into five fucking pieces.
http://www.giantbomb.com/metal-gear.....ailer/17-2659/
I have wanted a game that actually treats swords like razor-sharp instruments of death and not like sword-shaped baseball bats you whack your enemies with for a very, very long time.
I am deeply looking forward to Rising's release. n_n

Hmmm, interesting...
Posted 15 years agoSo there's this new furry site, just started up, 's called Inkbunny.
I took a look around there, and I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it.
On the plus side, Inkbunny features keyword blocking right off the bat, so I don't have to look at any of the things that squick me over there. They also have all this stuff built in that lets people order prints or digital downloads or whatever right off the site, which I suppose is handy if people actually pay for your stuff. One of the things that *I* found interesting, though, was that written submissions have a handy reader that lets you scroll through the story right there in the browser window, in addition to downloading the .doc file or whatever that it came from. Oh, and they feature 'pools', which are essentially folders, so I can just label one 'Dave and Kelly' without adding those words to the title of every story therein.
On the down side, though, it's either inconsistent or it takes a random period of time for your changes to implement themselves, and their keyword system, like FA's, is based on whatever you type in. This only becomes a problem when you're working with a blocking/highlighting system, because one typo renders it irrelevant. Someone who really didn't like incest wouldn't be happy to see one of my stories pop up because I accidentally typed 'icnest'. But most importantly, that on-screen reader I mentioned drops all formatting from the story, requiring me to go back and manually re-apply it.
That is, as you can imagine, a major pain in the butt. There are ten stories in the Dave and Kelly series alone, and The Next First Time has thirty pages all on its own. If I were to transfer every story over there, that would be a lot of formatting.
Ugh, I couldn't even find an HTML converter for SoFurry, where the heck am I gonna find a BBCode converter? :P
Oh well, I'll keep an open mind for now, it's only been active a few hours. I went through Afternoon Delight and gave it the full formatting treatment, you can see it here, if you wish.
EDIT: Apparently, like FA, you can only look at adult stuff on Inkbunny if you're a member, so don't bother with that link if you're not, my bad. :B
TL;DR version: A new site called Inkbunny is interesting, but going through all of my stories and manually re-applying formatting so you can read them on-screen sucks donkey balls, so I don't know if I want to do that.

How Furry *is* Green, Anyway?
Posted 15 years agoI'm really, really drunk right now, so I thought it would be a good idea to do a meme. Hooray! 8D
Why, yes, I do think it's amusing that even drunk I take the time to spell and grammarcheck myself.
1. (x) Have you ever howled at the moon? In my defence, I was even more drunk than I am right now, and I was with a group of non-furry, equally intoxicated howlers.
2. ( ) Have you ever barked at someone? I barked at a dog once, but that was just to be funny and I don't think it counts.
3. (x) Have you ever found yourself drawing or scribbling furry art when you were supposed to be doing something else? If you'll accept "writing furry smut" instead of "drawing furry art", then oh hell yeah! I put stuff off all the effing time.
4. (x) Have you ever worn an animal costume or tail as a child and pretended to be an animal? I was a spider for Halloween two years in a row. My costume was bitchin', thanks mom! n_n
5. ( ) Have you ever eaten out of a dog bowl? Ha ha, no. <_<
6. ( ) Have you been to at least one furry con? Sadly, no, this has not yet happened for me, and due to my epic brokeness, it is unlikely to happen in the near future.
7. (x) Do you like to look at furry porn all the time? Far more often than I look at "regular" porn anyway.
8. ( ) Do you RP or play Second Life as a furry character? Never RPed, never played SL, but for the record, I totally would be a furry character if I did.
9. ( ) Do you own a fursuit or at least a tail? Nope.
10. (x) Do you know what all these words mean or have used them at least once? Man, you didn't even use words like 'vore' or 'tailhole' or 'yiff', of course I know what all this means.
11. ( ) Do you have at least five videos of you acting or doing something furry on YouTube? There are zero videos on YouTube that show my hideous true form doing anything, at least to the best of my knowledge.
12. (x) Has your anthropersona/character been drawn in a furry porn type manner? Oh yes, by at least three artists. And for the record, "Fursona" works just fine.
13. ( ) Are you well known in the furry fandom? Pffft, nah, I'm a writer, that makes me invisible.
14. (x) Do you dream furry while you sleep? On occasion, but then I've also dreamed (dreampt?) I was RoboCop and Darth Vader, so my dreams are perhaps not the best place to judge my furriness.
15. (x) Would you transform into your character/fursona if you were given the chance to live like that for the rest of your life? Oh fuck yeah, but then Vinnie Linus is a shapeshifter with an unusually long lifespan, so perhaps he's not the best example.
16. ( ) Have you ever worn a collar? Can't say that I have, no.
17. ( ) Do you own more than 20 art badges of your fursonas or characters? I own exactly zero badges of my characters.
18. ( ) Have you been to more than 20 furry cons in your lifetime? See question six.
19. ( ) Do you think that deep down you have the spirit of an animal within you? Well my left leg is haunted by the spirit of a raccoon I hit with the car, but I don't think that counts*.
20. ( ) Do you enjoy hanging out with other furries? I've never met another one in the meatspace, unfortunately.
21. (x) Do you think we should have a furry run for president of the USA? What do you mean "should"? Apparently you don't know Bill Clinton as well as you thought you did.
22. ( ) If you ever became rich would you own a room in your house that was just to display your fursuits or furry art? I believe the appropriate response is "lolwut". <_<
23. ( ) Is your best friend furry? If he is, it would be a hilarious surprise to me. How 'bout it, Steve?
24. ( ) Do your furry friends call you by your furry name in public? See question twenty.
25. ( ) Have you been in the furry fandom for at least 5 years? I've been into the art and such for years and years, but I've only been "active" since 2008, so I'll say no.
Total: 9
1 to 5 = Furry wannabe.
6 to 10 = Furry newbie.
11 to 15 = Furry.
16 to 20 = Hardened Furry.
21 to 25 = Hardcore Furry.
Apparently I've got a ways to go.

DRUNKEN MEMEING OVER
Why, yes, I do think it's amusing that even drunk I take the time to spell and grammarcheck myself.
