CmdrKitsune that were commissioned on Saturday, but that I couldn't get to before the end of the stream. I won't be taking new commissions on stream until the next regular stream on 3/17/18, but everyone is welcome to join us to watch and, as always, tips are appreciated if you'd like to support the channel ^.^

Livestream
Posted 7 years agoI just wanted to announce that I'll be hosting a Livestream tomorrow: 02/17/18 at 6PM Eastern time. If you'd like to join me, I'll be taking a couple of commission drawing requests and completing them on air. I think this may be the first one of these I've done in over 3 years (damn, has it really been that long?). I'll be making use of the new graphics tablet, so you'll all get to see what I see as I draw, as opposed to a document camera aimed at a piece of drawing paper. I'm still adjusting to drawing digitally, but my results so far have been encouraging =) I haven't figured out yet how to decide a commission queue for this stream, since I don't know how many I'll be able to take, or even how log the stream will go.
As for the commissions; I couldn't decide between a first-come-first-served system, or just go with with the tried and true "fight to the death" method, so I decided to leave that up to
kishfox to figure out x3
Anyways, even if no one decides to request a commission this time, I'll still draw -something-, and it'll be a chance for me to hang out with you folks and just have fun <=)

I'm back. First of all, I owe an apology to those who have been waiting such a long time for a commission from me. When I took those commissions, I honestly thought that I'd have them done in a matter weeks/months, and not be apologizing 3 years later for failing to meet those obligations. I believe I have reached out to all those still waiting, and am either working on completing them shortly or working on another resolution. Either way, I wanted to issue a public apology because they should not have a had to wait that long, and no excuse I can give would be sufficient. I screwed up and I'm trying to own that mistake.
I believe I've reached a turning point in my art career, and I think I can stay on track with my obligations now. That being said, I'm going to hold off on taking more long term commissions until I'm sure that I have reached that point, so please be patient and understand that I may need to turn down new commission requests until I can be sure that I won't disappoint you with unreasonable wait times.
As far as my website www.taurinfox.com we've had a few setbacks in hosting it. I've been bouncing between hosting providers for years, and in the end, we eventually decided to host it on a physical server in our apartment. We're still trying to get the logistics figured out, and there might be some random downtime as a result of growing pains on that front. Also, I need to mention that we only had access to an older version of the source files for the site, so it's a bit out of date. Kish is working on a complete rewrite of it that will streamline its interface and allow searching by keywords and other features. We most likely will not make many updates to it until the rewrite of the site goes live.
Speaking of Kish, he has taken up the role of being my point of contact. Please message him if you want a commission, or are checking up on the status of a pending one. I have generally been horrible at keeping up with correspondence, and he and I both feel that he can keep up with that better than I. However, this doesn't mean you can't ask personal questions of me. I'll still try to respond to those as I'm able. I'm just using Kish as a filter and check to make sure I don't drop the ball on my communications as I have in the past,
Next, I'm hoping to restart my livestreams again. Hopefully, as early as next Saturday, I hope to host a stream once a week, chat with my fans, and do some drawings for you. I want to reconnect with all of you who enjoy what I do. I might offer quick commission drawings, or I might just draw and talk about whatever comes to mind.
Finally, I know some of you have messaged me about my DVD/Blu-ray sales. Please contact Kish if you are still interested. I have a very low supply remaining, but if enough people are interested, I'll produce more. I will produce a new disc eventually that includes my post- 2012 work, but that will take some time. I may even wait until I have a new animation to feature before I decide to do so, but that will be at least several months away.

New website for artists and buyers looking for commissions!
Posted 10 years agoAs a side project, kishfox and I (mostly him) have been working on a new website to help buyers find artists to do their commissions and vice versa. Judging from all the questions I get from people asking where they can find artists open for commissions, it seemed like a service that was needed ;)
The idea is to make The process as convenient as possible for both parties. Interested buyers can place offers for what they're looking for, style, content, price range, etc... which can be browsed by artists looking for work. And on their side, artists can do the same thing; post commission offers with information about their style, what they'll do, price range, etc...
There's also a feedback system, where you can rate and leave reviews based on the transaction.
Please check it out! The URL is http://www.commissionr.net It's free to create an account. We don't have many users yet, since the site just went live, but we're hoping to get enough people using it soon to make it worthwhile =)
I'm personally still booked up for commissions, but once I'm free, I'll be offering new commissions through that site.

Posted 10 years agoLooks like kishfox successfully got our new web server working and all the files are back up! The DNS may still be propagating to some regions, so if you don't see it up yet, it should be available shortly. Aside from the site not loading at all (due to the DNS propagation) please let us know of any problems with the site or files. My animations should be working here on FA again as well. =)

More web hosting shenanigans...
Posted 10 years agoSo, after being promised by Bluehost's sales rep that my adult content would be fine on their servers, I was notified a couple days ago (after being on thier server for 6 months) that the content violated their terms of service. After trying to clear things up with them, and refusing to work anything out with me, I proceeded to remove all of my content and HTML except for the FLV files for my animations (so that they could still be viewed on FA).
On TOP of that, they proceeded to bill my credit card for another 6 months of service the following day. Kish contacted them and explained we were NOT renewing, and they said they reversed the charge. The FOLLOWING day, they charged me for 6 months AGAIN causing me to exceed my credit limit. Kish called again and again got them to reverse the charge as well as take the card off the account entirely. They also said our current contract doesn't expire until the 28th, so that gave us a buffer to get the site up on our new host without causing the animations to be unavailable on FA AGAIN...
Well, just now they informed me that they were terminating my service due to adult content anyways, so the animations will not be available here on FA until we can get the files on a new server. It should only be a couple days since we already purchased the service. We're just waiting for our new host to install the server for us.
TL/DR: The animations are down. Please direct your complaints to Bluehost.

Farewell AC 2015
Posted 10 years agoOMFG this con was a blast, but now I'm absolutely exhausted XD I got to see lots of friends and had an amazing time! Unfortunately I didn't get to see everyone I wanted to, or spend as much time as I wanted with those I did see.
I have to say, the highlight for me this year was that my FIRST convention fursuiting was the first time the parade went outside to the public. Seriously, walking outside in suit to the cheering public gathered around the parade route was fucking magical. Seeing all the support from the community and the joy in all the kids eyes looking for high-fives from the suiters was just amazing.
Unfortunately, suiting made it impossible to take any commissions in artist alley. However, the convention has made me hyper motivated to get back to my commission and animation work when I get back home.
Thanks to the AC staff for making 2015 the best con ever, and praise the holy giraffe. BREEE!

Color commissions available!

Also, with Anthrocon approaching, and Kish and I being a bit short on cash to get our fursuits paid off in time, I decided to offer a few color commission slots for anyone who's interested.
The slots will go to the first 3 people who reply to this journal requesting a slot and will be pending until payment is received. More slots may be offered in addition to those depending on the complexity of the first 3 requested.
Edit* All 3 slots have been filled, put feel free to continue commenting if you want one. I may expand the slots, or move someone up if someone else drops out *
Edit2* I'll make an exception for someone wanting the $500 commission. I wanted to get at least one big project out of this, so the first one stating they want one of those will get a slot, regardless of the others being full. *
Prices are as follows (all full color):
$100: single character with solid color or gradient background
---$50 for each additional character
$150: 2-pose character sheet
$200: 3-pose character sheet
$500: single character with detailed 3D rendered background

Posted 10 years agoThe remaining issue of the playback controls not working on the animations has been fixed. Now all of my animations on FA and www.taurinfox.com are playing flawlessly. If not, let me know and I'll fix it with extreme prejudice!!!... or I'll just make my fennec fix it... or whatever... OMFG after fighting with trying to get my site back online for the last few months, I'm fucking stoked that it finally is now!!! >=D
That said, now it's time for a confession. This ordeal of trying to get my site up has drained me and I've ignored most of my messages lately since most of them have consisted of "why isn't your website up?" So, if you last messaged me more than a month ago and haven't gotten a reply, you won't... I'm making a concerted effort to reply to my new messages, but if you messaged me a while back and haven't gotten a response, you WILL NOT unless you message me again. If you wanted to contact me about the site, then you don't need to because it's working! Yay! If it was something else, message me again and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. =)
That said, now it's time for a confession. Posted 10 years agowww.taurinfox.com is back up! Which means my animations on FA are also working again =) There is a small issue where the playback controls aren't loading, but I should be able to fix that tonight after I get home from work.

It's a simple issue of pointing the SWFs towards my new host instead of the old one... which I'll do when I'm not so sleepy LOL Maybe I'll get my fennec to do it x3

I'm still working on getting the website back up and running. At the moment, the content can be found at http://www.alphafox.accountsupport.com/ which is a temporary URL until I can get the name servers set back up. The animations still can't be viewed directly online through the embedded players (on the site or here on FA) but they can be downloaded and viewed on your PC with a standard media player =) Once the name servers are set up, the embedded viewers will work again.
I'm still working on getting the website back up and running. Posted 11 years agoWww.taurinfox.com is down due to a catastrophic hard drive failure at my hosting provider. Unfortunately this means that my animations are not watchable on FA, as they are streamed from that server. I'll be working on either getting that site back up or moved so that the videos can be watched again. And yes, I'm working on a new one ;)

Back from AC!
Posted 11 years ago kishfox and I got back home safe and sound a little while ago. We're both exhausted but had an amazing time! I didn't spend as much time in Artist Alley as I have in previous years, but I did get a couple drawings done and took a few more home to finish later. My only regret was that I didn't have the chance to hang out with everyone I wanted to. Hopefully we'll be able to start going to more conventions soon, and we're both hoping to get fursuits before the next AC XDI have a bunch of new drawings to post from AC as well as the past few livestreams, so keep an eye out for those. ;)

Posted 11 years agoI jusg got set up in Artist Alley. I should be here until it closes at 5. I've got prints, DVD/Blu-rays and will be doing a few drawing commissions!
Preparing for Anthrocon
Posted 11 years agoSorry for the lack of updates, In addition to adjusting to living with kishfox we've also been getting ready for AC. I'll have a decent selection of prints and DVD/Blu-rays for sale as well as doing some commission drawings when (if) I get into Artist Alley XD
Please send me a note if you're going to be at AC and are waiting on original art from me so that I know to bring it along. I know I'm very behind in getting originals shipped out from my Livestream sessions. I'd love to hand deliver them in person at the con if you're there, otherwise I'm going to make sure I get the rest shipped out shortly after I get back, and new Livestream sessions should be starting up soon =)
As always keep a eye out for me if you're there! I'm really looking forward to seeing my old friends, and making some new ones as well. Hugs are always welcome

A fennec has arrived!
Posted 11 years agoHi folks! Sorry there was no Livestream this week. Things have been pretty busy lately <=)
Last weekend, my mate kishfox moved in with me here in Hershey. We've been busy getting his stuff moved in and getting the apartment all cleaned up and nice. We were both a little nervous about the change, but we're both very happy with how things are going ^.^ We still have a bit of work to do before the apartment is really looking nice though.
Once the apartment is cleaned up and I have more space to work with, I'm considering taking up painting again! I used to work with oil paints, but stopped a few years ago because I didn't have the space or time to spend on them. Kish is determined to get me back into it again though, so we'll see how it goes XD
Anyways, I'm very happy to have Kish here with me. This has been long overdue ^.^ And once things settle down at home here, I plan to get back on the artwork and animations even more than I have been lately.
