Well, I was invited back out west after word got around that I lost my job, So I'm movin West! I'm looking forward to it.

It's final, my job is gone. What's worse is the extremely deceptive and passive aggressive way I was let go, and the nasty fucking things I had to hear when I calmly and politely confronted my employer. Hearing someone yell profanities and insults in my face while I was trying to understand wtf was up a huge part of my life was very shocking. And a lot of personal aspects of my life (shared in mutual confidence) were factored into my termination, and announced to the whole workroom. I've never felt so ashamed, in my life, and rarely have I felt so betrayed. On the subject of things that are done, I have also finished my ten furs. WOOHOO! I can't wait to look at this first cluster of uploads, one year from now, and see all the progress that I've made. Until then, I'll keep on putting out shitty, infantile sketches, obsessing about losing my job, and stumbling through my weird life. It's only a matter of time/practice, till I get good at drawing, and find another good job, right?

I've decided to set a little deadline for myself. I'm going to try drawing a series of furs, over the next seven days. I've made a small list of the species I generally like, and I'm going to do 'em all! The list is as follows:

Lion
Wolf
Horse
Rhino
Bull
Moose
Deer
Dragon
Orc
Bison

As of today, I've already knocked out the bear, so that's ten more furs. Woohoo!

I'm probably going to get flagged for upload seven thousand images in 24 hours but I have finally uploaded a picture successfully. Apparently using the same file as your image, and thumbnail wrecks the upload. #n00b #firstworldproblems

I worked through two different studies of how to draw faces, and heads, then used them to sketch a generic little profile for my fursona, Tazil, the orc. Also looked through a little tutorial on human body structure/proportions, which was MUCH more fun that trying to capture the human head/face. While we're on the subject of heads/faces I'm having tremendous difficulty drawing animal head onto my subjects, any pointers? I'll be uploading the little sketch of my fursona today, and a couple of head-studies and body-studies. I wish I could upload more, but all I've really been doing is flipping through my favorites and sketching subjects in bubble-body form, so oh-well. Next i think I'll try sketching the hands/feet of my favorites as I've mostly been leaving them out of my drawings so far.

I've been under a bit too much stress, and I need to escape. To make a long story short, I tried to take a couple steps forward in life by moving out of my mom's and finding new, more promising employment. Over the course of just a couple months, both steps have crumbled beneath my feet in the worst way. I'm an escapist by nature (rt, video-games, playing/writing/listening to music), so naturally I flocked to my yaoi and furry ritual, scanning thorugh Y-Gallery and e621 and f-chan and jerking off for days. This time I need something better. I need to build some sort of constructive escape, rather than just drowning myself in hours of masturbation and sensory input. I'm going to make good on years of wanting to create the subjects I'm so fond of looking at. I'm going to release all of my imaginary characters and stories onto paper. I'm even going to make a 'fursona.' I am going to start drawing. Let's see where it goes.
