The 80'S ROCKED
Posted 18 years agoNot that I was truly old enough to enjoy some of the finer points of the era, BUT, I was plenty old enough to enjoy, remember, treasure, and truly miss the cartoon, and in truth, many were insiprations to me....which i now have BACK!
Thanks to a wonderful web site which put up a theme to an older cartoons, now nearly 20 years old, that i think i was one of it's only viewers...

Oh, I spent 6 hours going over that site and finding all the things stuck in my brain but not fully remembered...
I was elated, and now I have my mind a buzz with art ideas, as it was the animation of the late 70's and all of the 80's that inspired me to draw.
If you have a fav 80's cartoon and want me to draw it, thow ideas at me, i am in the mood.

I started watching SG1 about 5 years ago and fell in love with it almost as much as i did Farscape, ( Almost, but not quite...) and one of the reasons I loved that show so much is that my at the time fiance and I watched them both together with fervor....The series finally that i thought while watching it was i wonder if she continued to follow it this far, by the gods I hope not, that was without a doubt the WORST series finally next to the one falsly laid out by Farscape I have EVER seen! an hour of "We are trapped on a ship with no way out..." HOLY SHIT! the Posiden adventure in SPACE! and since when did SG1 become about space ships and less about the gate system? we have shows like that, Farscape, Star Trek, Andromada, hell, even Dr. Who is a little about that, enough with the space ships, they were cool to see from time to time, like special effects were neat, but we have done with space ships what George Lucas did with special effects in the most recent travisty of 3 movies attempting to be as cool and break into the Star Wars series did. ENOUGH!
Sorry, a coffee induced reant made part by the letter STRESS!
On another note, my life continues to make me feel like the Matrix has me as some kind of lab rats seeing what a series of let downs can do to the human psyche, as YET AGAIN I am met with dissappointment on all sides, if it werent for theose very few RL loyal frinds I have as well as my online frineds, I do believe I would have mentally imploded and become that strange guy on the side of the street talking to himself about the gremlin/alien conspiracy to steal our shoelaces and force us all barefoot into the sugar mines and fram food for our insect overlords all praise the great queen and her endless brood!
And on a final note, I have yet to draw anything lately, cause I just dont feel like it, too many distractions would make for a lousy pic, and I refuse to do less than my best and show it to you all.

old ladies shouldnt wear black lipstick
Posted 18 years agoOk, as I was walking through Walmart today after filling out their borg like application for assimilation, I was on my way out and I breezed by this old lady and out of the corner of my eye, to looks like she is hollow! I double take and she is wearing black lipstick...ok, now I am all about the everyone is beautiful and stuff, but lets keep the black lipstick to super villans, anime characters, super hot chicks and gothics please!
On another note, I was talking with another artist here recently, they knonw who they are, my new god of art,*bow down, bow down, before the power of..* anyway, and I have realized what it was that was bothing me about my art work, I have been asking those near me for years if anything looks off about my pics beacuse it felt that way to me and everyone always said, "Nope, looks good." but my lord and master here pointed out....all I draw are pin-up like, so I need to try for some more diverse angles and pictures.
As such, I would love for requests from any of you watching me for ANY kind of pic, ( no gore please, that crap turns my stomache....and I cant draw blood to save my life.) other than that...alls fair in love and war.

Posted 18 years agoYou know what I love about this site? Everyone is polite to each other...That is unlike Deviantart, where I have been attacked and even spied on by my ex and my ex best friend, ( thats a long drama, I wont go into it ), but here I am free of all that crap.
