Posted 11 years agoNimbuns are a rabbit-like species who live in the sky and on high mountains. Those who live in the sky typically do not live near one another, while Nimbuns on mountain tops form small communities. Rarely, Nimbuns will move to other humid areas, like oceanfronts. Nimbuns are said to have a hand in sudden and uncalled for rain showers, but only when many of them gather in one place. Typically, they're very lax and carefree, as well as mischievous -- most Nimbuns like to prank other species, or even members of their own!
The cloudy skirts around their waists serve alternatively as seats or beds for Nimbuns living in the sky. They're able to grow or shrink and are amorphous as any cloud, but they tend toward one particular shape while not being used. Clouds forming around the wrists or calves of Nimbuns have no function, but are an uncommon trait and are seen as desirable!
Despite being a disorderly bunch, Nimbuns function under a monarchy. The two Kings serve mostly as figureheads -- they do have the power to set laws, but they never really do. The Kings live in a literal Castle in the Sky, made of clouds and appearing to terrestrial creatures as a bleak, cloudy day.
