Been feeling slightly nostalgic for some reason, might be a summer thing or something.
So I figured I'd go through my old art and toss up a few choice pieces and possibly say a few words about them and me at the time, sort of a retrospective I guess :3

Nothing lasts forever and it's finally time to say goodbye to something that has been a part of me for a very long time.
My drive to draw has vanished, completly disintigrated, gone the way of the dodo. I reccently realised I hadn't even given it a second thought for atleast a month, not even the slightest twitch.

So it is time to move on and maybe focus on other things, whatever that will be :3

In general life is going along fine, if a bit routine.

There hasn't been much in the way of activity art or baking wise and it likely going to stay that way for some time since work is being a tad hectic with people calling out sick way too often, so I have no real time to play around with new recepies. As for the art I've hit another roadblock and I'm honestly starting to consider dropping it all together, but time will tell.

So, I have a new tasty treat that I've made, but I am drawing a blank on what to call it.
It's a two layer cake, with a chocolate bottom and a lemon mazarin topped with raspberry glaze as the top layer.

Still haven't been able to draw anything, even though I have mostly untangled the previous blockage.
So I'm gonna try doing something that has occasionaly worked in the past, that being requests. So if you have one or two feel free to let me know :3
Ofcourse, there's still a chance I'll end up just starring at the canvas again, but it never hurts trying :3

As you can see I have been uploading some of my old things, a random mix of stuff that I find turned out okay and that I can look out without only seeing what I did wrong X3

I have also slowly attempted doing some new drawings but sofar I have not really managed to do much more than starring at a blank canvas.

So, as you might have noticed I have been less than active for awhile, for a few reasons.
Firstly, "Teca's tasty treats" is on semi hiatus due to lot's of people being on vacation at work, giving me less time to play around with recepies.

As for the art side of things, well that is a bit more complicated and it is connected to one of the reasons I draw in the first place.
It didn't start as such but very early drawing became an escape for me, from alot of issues in my life. Whenever things got rough I would bury myself in my art, focusing on it to the point of ignoring anything else, at times to the extent of negative outcomes.
Not that this was always something I noticed myself at the time.

I have been thinking alot lately, due to my current situation and I've realised that drawing has become too much of escape. So much so that now when things are getting better and I begin to feel more comfortable with myself I have lost the reason for drawing, the need to escape.
I don't know if I'll be able to untangle this part of me, to disconnect drawing from escape. But unless I do this hiatus will likely be permanent.

So my dear watchers, as you can see my two latest uploads have been from work showing some off the stuff I bake and now I'm curious what you think of it.
As I have been toying with the idea of makinga regular thing of it, showing off something tasty and providing a recipe for it.
So let me know if you have any thoughts on it :3

Lot's of things going on at the moment. Going to be spending next weekend over in norway, watch the new avengers movie and maybe bake some tasty treats for the babies. Then right after I'm back it's time for big meeting with phsychs and this time parents are gonna be there, so not completely sure how I feel about that yet, sorta hovering between dread and anxiety at the moment. Trying not to think too much about it though.

Been rather lazy for awhile now too, sort of feels like I'm slipping back into my old work-sleep-work-sleep routine, which is not very good considering I did manage to break out of that cycle before. Really need to push myself and just do all the things I'm putting off before it all builds to unmanagable levels...

As for the art side of things, I'm considering taking an extended break from drawing once I've finished up the current batch of commissions I have, either that or try and refocus on something oher than the usual by-the-numbers things I currently draw. I guess I'm starting to get back that old feeling of stagnation again. Which really hits me hard because it's the one thing I hate the most about art, both mine and in general, that never ending copy-paste flood of sameness. It didn't used to be this hard for me to change things up and figure out new ways of doing things, but now it's like I'm hitting my head against a wall over and over and the only progress is making the blood spatter cover more of the wall.

Oh well, come what may...

That's how long I've been involved in furry and let me tell you, it's enough to make a girl a hard cynic.
And while it's very likely my own rosetinted view of the past, it used to be alot better or at the very least it was easier to stay away from all the crazy and bad stuff.
Cause it seems like now you cab't go a week without hearing about a scam or fake sob story or just downright despicable behaviour.
And lets not even get started on the fetishes, YKINMK and all that and yes I have a bunch myself and I'm sure others find them just as weird, but the ones that keep showing up now are like something conjured up by a chaos lord, Slaanesh in particular.

And then on the other side we have the opposite, the ones desperatly trying to make everything seem so innocent and family friendly, which is just as infuriating.

Been lots to do at the bakery for awhile, with several people sickand extra to do for everyone else. Which is one of the reasons I haven't drawn much lately.
Work is starting to get back to more normal rythm though, which leaves me with a bit more time on my hands.

Been feeling a bit off lately and I have no idea why, it's starting to get a tad annoying. Zoning out and having that weird feeling of not being connected to my own body, like my mind is literally leaving my body. Not so good when it happens at work, especially when I'm doing things with the ovens. One major burn is enough for me thanks :3

Been trying to focues on drawing abit again and I've had some minor success but still feels like I have something blocking my output, like a humongous cork. Coaxing it out hasn't been very effective so I figured I'd try brute force instead. Which in this case would be throwing a ton of ideas at it and seeing what sticks.
So if anyone of you have a request or two just let me know and I might draw it :3

And so it has, NFC is over and I'm sitting on a train with Lure, he's fallen asleep ofcourse :3
We have the rest of the day to spend in Stockholm before he heads on back to norway.
And its right back to work for me when I get back, would have been nice with an additional day or two off to relax and recover but no such luck for this wuff.

It has been super fun though and we've meet some cool people. Hopping to do it all again next year :3
