Galeacoma (GAY-LEE-UH-CO-MUH) are a genetically engineered species created by a human known as “The Curator”
Social Dynamics:
They follow their creator, “The Curator”. Though whenever “the Curator” is not around, the species functions as a matriarchal society.
The Galeacoma's chain of command goes as follows-:
“The Curator”
Scylla & Charibdis (the original pair)
SG's (Synthetic Galeacoma)
Fiori (The matriarch).
While the Curator, Scylla and Charibdis are not around, Fiori keeps watch of her populace as they develop like a chieftain. Galeacomas are devoid from religion (Curator knows it's a bad influence), but that doesn't stop them from welcoming back the original trio when they return after periods of time like gods. Getting to see the human, their creator, is a rare treat to many.
Much larger than humans if they encountered one other than “the Curator” may be killed on sight if the human is unarmed. A galeacoma is fully capable of ripping a human limb from limb.
Not a very breeding oriented species, they mostly form same sex pairs for companionship. Males and females only intermingle during important activities such as building homes or hunting.
Males form a small sub-society separate from the females and split off into mating pairs. Males have a split in their penis that allows it to accommodate another male’s shaft, thus giving them a way to mate similar to “docking”.
If a heterosexual mating pair is formed it is usually strictly for procreation and will split soon after and the two will go back to their respective sexes for “companion mates”.
Females prefer other females that are beautiful as mates. They form couples and will solicit a male for his genetic material then raise the offspring without him.
If an individual is seen as a threat to the group as a whole it will be killed for the safety and the greater good of the society. This usually only applies to unbalanced and overly aggressive individuals.
The young are educated via survival training.
They are nurtured and coddled until they can walk and start to eat meat. Soon after they are taught all the dangers of the wilds and what to avoid.
At this age they are encouraged to strengthen their wings and learn to fly and they are also taught to swim.
They learn their short history and how to manage the upkeep on their body metals.
Children have an easy life as long as they are savvy and can manage to stay out of danger and keep from drowning.
Pets:
Tame small avians and may keep feral galeacomas in their homes as companions.
The feral gene is extremely recessive and a tiny feral birth is rare.
Weapons:
Massive swords or mechanical lances. Crafted of crystal or metal. Galeacoma also use parts from their dead brethren to make weapons.
Perhaps a fancy dagger made from a wing piece or a hammer made from a Helm.
Names:
Galeacomas love being compared to things. They are often named for something their parents like or for something they look like as a child. Such as Fiori, her name means flower in Italian, she was named for her ears.
Reproduction:
Galeacoma are warm blooded and very mammalian. They give live birth and are covered in fine fur/hair.
Temperament:
Mostly calm until provoked. Each one has a different personality and can vary just like humans from meek and mild all the way to super aggressive.
Females tend to be more strong willed and confident than the males.
Galeacomas LOVE jewels and gems of any kind. They are given to cut gems and imbed them in their metal parts as decoration. They take so much pride in their metals and maintaining them that they may become suicidal and separate themselves from the rest if they are damaged.
A Galeacoma that is to be considered ugly is one who is malnourished or breaks his/her metal parts.
Wings and ears are capable of being damaged, unlike the face which is too tough to break.
A broken or wingless/ear-less Galeacoma might as well be a dead one, because they would hate themselves and envy others. Unless they are able to get help fixing their anatomy. It's more likely an 'ugly' Galeacoma is not called ugly by the rest, they feel 'ugly' and thus further drive themselves into a depression.
A beautiful Galeacoma would be one who takes pride in their appearance, just doesn't look good- but also knows how to take care of themselves.
Their manes and fur must be well kept, faces polished and wings/ears kept sharp. Bodies must retain a certain amount of tone muscle to prove they are healthy.
Females will appear sharper, more intimidating, to be considered beautiful.

It orbits on the absolute horizon of a black hole. Thus, making it hidden from prying eyes.
The planet has major deformities on opposite sides. The side facing away from the black hole has an enormous depression (similar in look to a crater) in which there is zero gravity. On the side facing the black hole the planet is pulled to a point creating a very large mountain peak where the gravity is much greater than the rest of the planet.
The planet was artificially terra-formed.
The star the planet orbits is a blue giant. It’s proximity to the black hole generates a stream of flaming gas flowing from the star to the center of the black hole.
It always seems like twilight on the planet due to the dim light of this “sun”.
The planet is very lush and rich with plant life all of which is very unique and mutated by the radiation of the black hole. Nothing is as it seems and the galeacomas need to be on their guard least a rock turnout to be a camouflaged carnivorous plant waiting for an unwary meal.
Measurements:
Average size for a galeacoma is 6’4” but they range from 5’8” all the way up to 6’10”
They are all lean muscle since they run and dodge through the jungles. They need to be agile and a bulky body is not practical.
Tail length varies by individual it is no set length.
Females are leaner and have sharper features than the males and females are larger.
Marking/colors:
Main body color is usually white or very light grey.
Metals can be black from being irradiated(blasted by radiation), brass or gold colored wings and ears or the most common steel or silver color helms. Colors can vary based on chemicals and elements they come in contact with. Anodized metal colors are all acceptable.
Manes/fur and tail rough colors range from blues and greens to reds and earth tones.
Special anatomy of interest:
Face has no nerves under the metal “helm”. The only vulnerable part on their skull is their eyes.
Their wings are embedded in their back and connected to organic harmonic resonators. They vibrate their wings at high frequencies to generate lift required for flight. Ripping these out would be extremely painful and they are sensitive to vibrations and touch.
The only overly sensitive part of a galeacoma’s head is their bladed ears. These are connected to a harmonizer chamber. Their ears pick up vibrations (sound waves) in the air and it is transferred to their brains as sound. High pitched sounds and physical assault damage them easily.
They breath through nostril slits located under the front edge of their “helm”
Galeacoma eye color varies all over the spectrum due to exposed radiation, some may even glow. The only eye color they may not have is fluorescent silver.
Language:
Galeacoma lack a uvula, so they have to 'breathe' out their words. Their brains are like a steel trap. They can pick up new skills very fast. This applies to language to an extent.
A Galeacoma's brain is like a sticky web and they can take others language and make it theirs. But, after learning a first language, the chances of them learning more begins to slim down. They may always improve, but not learn something different.
