Posted 12 years agoI'm convinced that the last two months have been trying to KILL me. I've been sick twice due to con crud, and my stomach issues have escalated to the possibility of stomach ulcers. I'm currently waiting for permission to get an endoscopy. To say working has been a challenge puts it mildly.

A note about my speed: I have had several customers confused about how fast I can turn a commission around. Part of the confusion seems to be that I'm doing them in monthly batches, and that makes them think I'll be done by the end of the month.
I can't do that, as much as I'd like to. My health is wonky, especially my eyesight, but I'm keeping a steady pace that is sometimes faster and sometimes slower. (Depending on the complexity of individual commissions.)

Delay on Commission Updates
Posted 13 years agoSorry for the delay updating and taking commissions this month. We have been going through an internal move at our place over the last couple of months, moving me and my husband to a smaller bedroom and my sister into the master. It's turned into a bigger project than I would have expected, and my studio has turned into a disaster area that is difficult -- often impossible -- to work in. Fortunately, this stupid shit is almost finished and I should be able to get back to work. If I hadn't been able to sell a bunch of my stuff on eBay, I wouldn't have been able to make rent, so I'm really P.O.ed that it's taken so long!

A note about my speed: I have had several customers confused about how fast I can turn a commission around. Part of the confusion seems to be that I'm doing them in monthly batches, and that makes them think I'll be done by the end of the month.
I can't do that, as much as I'd like to. My health is wonky, especially my eyesight, but I'm keeping a steady pace that is sometimes faster and sometimes slower. (Depending on the complexity of individual commissions.) Right now, I've been able to turn an individual commission back in 3 months, from purchase to finish.
