Sudden Commission Closure **URGENT**
Posted 4 months agoHello all. I appreciate the support I have gotten throughout the years, and the friends I've made along the way. I first started doing digital art commissions very young, and it was around 2018. It was roughly 7 years ago and I was 14 at the time and as of today, I am now 21. Since then, I have grown exponentially and gained a lot of experience throughout my years of drawing for people.
However, something has changed with how I work. Back then, I was fast with my art. You'd get your commission on the same day for dirt cheap and payments were either with amazon gift cards or sent to some random guy's paypal for a discord bot unit (Pokecord, for the ogs who remember). Fast forward to today, and it's months and months so maybe even over a year if you're part of the unlucky few. If you noticed, this of course started 2 ½ years ago. I have a less will to draw, I have a real job now and have been there for 2 ½ years. When you have a job that pays you more than sitting at a computer and staring at a screen for hours getting frustrated because you can't get this one character to look right, things take a toll.
My art isn't worth the time or money it takes to come out of my queue. I will no longer be taking commissions, at least for a long, long while. Whatever is in my queue is the last I will take.

If I rethink my options, I need to plaster a big sign saying "YOUR ART WILL TAKE MONTHS TO FINISH" over a post. Perhaps take one slot at a time if possible, take less YCH, do less reference sheets, take money after the comm is completed so people don't feel scammed with their time or half/half etc. Etc.
The reason for it taking so long is ultimately procrastination and it tolls horribly, but that is mostly from my work. I want go home after working and rest, sometimes resting before 8 pm in some cases. But I make more money than I do when i inconsistently draw.
I've also had parental issues as well, which stress me to oblivion and happened in October of 2024. Had a dispute with my mother, she was mental, and now I no longer speak with her. My father has been in a nursing home for over a year. The only people keeping me sane is my wonderful boyfriend and the friends around me. But I can't blame everything on this and a lot of it was my own doing of not working on art for long periods of time, burnout, just not feeling like drawing, the same excuse. Sometimes there were moment where I was acutally busy or got sick, but those are rare.
Enough jabber about my life, but what does this mean for art commissions?
They will become less of a priority in my life, will only be used for emergencies, just for fun, or if a close friend wants one. I also have declared my reservation list clear and no longer have a reservation slot list.
The commissions I have in my list will be done as soon as possible. It Is clear that my attempt to work with due dates plummeted. Refunds will be given out if asked and according to progress done.
Art has always been my passion and I am sad to hear that this is how I want to continue with it, but that's just how it is and what I think would be best for my ability. I may want to start delving into fursuit type things, but I believe that's far down the line of what I can handle right now.
I am so sorry for all of this and so sorry for all time wasted with clients these past 2 years. I am forever grateful for your patience.

Vacation Update
Posted 5 months agoHey there! To my people who have commissioned me, I will be gone from Thursday, April 17th to Monday, April 21st for Anthrohio! (Comment if you're coming!!) During that time, my workload will be paused. I will try to get as many commissions completed before then, and then after the month as well. I have a real job as well at a frozen custard place, and can be exhausted from work and will just want to relax. That is currently the only reason why my pace is slow at the moment, putting personal problems aside of course.

Anyway, i have put due dates on select commissions on my trello. I am terrible at keeping up to date with things and may be past due your commission, but if you are waiting, it hopefully shouldn't be too long!

Refund Policy: Refunds will be given accordingly if you are unhappy with the work presented to you. You may only ask for a refund if you have waited 3 months for a commission.
No sketch: 100% refund
Sketched: 75% refund
Lined: 50% Refund
Colored, Shaded, or Background: No refund will be given
Refunded currency will be given once I have re-accumulated the cash. This is not instant.
Privitization Fees: I set this because when I am done with art (especially reference sheets) I am looking to post them on social media or websites to gain viewers from all around. Please understand that. Fee depends on the size of the commission. If you're looking for private commissions on a budget, I'm probably not your best bet.
Headshots - Fullbodies: $3 to private
Reference sheets: $5 to private
TERM TWO: I do not hold responsibility if the character I am commissioned to draw is a stolen character. Please only commission character's of yours, a friend's or someone else's character that you do not own with confirmation.
TERM THREE: You must be at least 13 years of age upon commissioning me. I do not currently take nsfw or fetish related commissions
TERM FOUR: You are not allowed to edit my artwork without EXCPLICIT permission from me, the artist. If you are commissioned or recieved a sketch of mine, you are not allowed to have yourself or somebody else lineart or edit it in any way unless asked beforehand. If I do allow art to be edited, I must always be credited if posted publicly as the original artist. This is my policy, please follow it :)
TERM FIVE: You are allowed unlimited edits in the sketch phase of drawing. After coloring and linearting, you are only allowed 3 changes. If the product is finished, you are not allowed to ask for any more changes unless money is offered.
TERM SIX: I reserve the right to post my art to any social media platform including but not limited to: Furaffinity, X, Bluesky, Instagram, Discord unless paid extra for those who wish to have a private commission.
CONSENT: By commissioning me, you consent that you are okay with your artwork being done with very long turnaround times I do not work on deadlines. I do not like feeling rushed. Please be patient as I work. I may give a deadline for myself, as I am working to be a more professional artist. I am sorry if your commission has experienced any delays.
Do not monetize off of the art I sell to you. You may not put my work on merchandize without my permission. This includes NFT and AI feeds/bots/generators. I do not support NFT / AI and am not associated with any of them. I would gladly love to work things out for monetization with you, though. We can probably work some things out for split payment such as stickers or mugs.
If i have taken too long on your project, I may offer compensation with additional art. This tends to be over the 6 month range, as of recent my art has taken past this time to complete. I have an actual job and my will for projects has slowed, so any delays come with great apology.

Anyone have knowledge with fursuit crafting?
Posted 6 months agoHey this is probably 100% the wrong crowd to be asking, but a journal never hurt anyone! I'm going to be tackling making my first fullbody fursuit for my lovely partner, hoping to at least have it by August for IFC and maybe April for Anthrohio. If anyone has any knowledge on the craft, please strike some tips in the comments. Any fullsuit tips help greatly! Thanks for the read!

Posted a year agoHey there, just thought I'd make a journal revolving around this subject. I've had an ever slowing commission speed unfortunately. This has started ever since I've gotten a job in the food industry that has paid more than my measly art has. I appreciate all of those who are patient but would like to address my speed as a problem. I have a few commissions in my queue right now, and I have some people waiting in my slot reserve list as well as people still waiting on ancient patreon rewards. All of these will be done in due time. However I was like... actually thinking of closing art commissions? Genuinely. It's weird now that I'm typing it out. I might become a generic ych artist or something of the sort. Which still works. But arts dying as a passion for me. It sucks and I'd love to get the spark back.
On the plus I'm trying to get into fursuiting so that might be my next big move in medium idk though. And hey, maybe when I'll go back to my community College I can get the passion back or maybe find something new
Anyway just wanted to make a journal, I'm so sorry my commission speed is slow. The mood is so dead and you people are waiting for your paid arts so patiently and I appreciate it so much. All will be done in due time. Just need to kick my butt and work on it more I suppose. Sorry friends.
