Stress and emotional strain is getting to me, that's why I drew gift art recently to get my mind off of things but with these recent developments I'm trying to keep my mind out of the dumps. I'm going to indulge in some more gift art before resuming regular work.

That said, I'm either going to open for a smaller batch of comms for August or might not even open for August (wait and see) because I won't be able to conclude July's workload in time. Originally it all fit but my mental health is tanking. A while ago I had planned and paid for a trip back to my old country, both to celebrate my birthday there, see family and friends I haven't seen for years and to take care of some immigration-related matters.

All of that was accounted for but with these recent curveballs I need to retreat and get myself in a stable state of mind. Hence why I'm planning on taking a reduced number of commissions for August, so I can finish off the projects I couldn't right now.

This isn't a post asking for help, though a separate one might happen depending on how my boyfriend's situation pans out.

This journal is just to inform my clients and Patreon supporters why I'm indulging in personal gift art and leisure. I need some indulgence right now to keep myself on the level.

Admittedly, I feel I just needed yesterday and today as extra days off and to myself, I ought to be feeling better tomorrow and resume regular work then. I can't promise anything when things are in the air though.

tl;dr Mentally and emotionally taking a hit, need some TLC, will catch up with work in due time.
