Posted 9 years agoI don't know why I'm posting any of this. I'm not popular enough to where people actually care what I have to say. I could post a journal saying that I'm giving away free art and nobody would even notice. Anyway, here goes:
When it comes to art. I look up to a lot of people. People can do some pretty amazing things. They're talented, wonderful, EXTRAORDINARY!
And then there's me.
I don't consider myself horrible. I can do some things. One or two people even say I can do those things well. But I'm still not as good as the people I look up to. I don't get a tenth of the praise that they do. Most of the time, I barely get any attention at all. But hey, I can't exactly complain can I? I can't expect to get triple digit views and double digit favorites from all of the stupid little things I draw.
While I'm not as good as those I look up to, though, I know for sure I'm better than one person: the person who drew this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19719285/
I drew that.
I'm better than I was a year and a half ago when I drew that. And that tells me that, though I may struggle to get five percent of the attention that my idols do, though it takes me 4 hours to do what some of these guys can do in 15 minutes, though it often feels like all of this is pointless and I'm wasting my time, I'm at least improving.
