These commissions are pretty heavy on the artistic freedom.. Give me a word or 2, or a basic/vague idea to interpret, and I'll make you an ACEO card. No characters unless they're very vague and you're alright with me interpreting them differently/changing some (or a lot of) details.

These are pretty quick to do, since I'm much more comfortable working with a lot of freedom, so they should be done and mailed by next week.

I'll be out of tow from about the 12th to the 26th. I don't think I will have much internet access during that time, and my Etsy shop will be in vacation mode from about the 11th until I get back home. I'll be dog sitting so hopefully I'll be able to spend a lot of time painting and have some cool stuff to post when I get back though :3

Neil's job fell through, so we're moving back home in early July. This is good news rather than bad for a lot of reasons I won't list, TLDR it hasn't been worth the hassle and going home sounds pretty nice right now. This also means I'll be able to ship artwork more regularly, so all jewelry, paintings and commissions can be shipped pretty much immediately, and I'll be able to more easily stock art prints of new paintings.

We won't have any internet access from about the 4th through the 8th or so I won't be around much for a while. We'll probably take a few days to get settled again, but after that I hope to be back to painting pretty regularly, hopefully I can find a day job that doesn't devour all of my energy.

I haven't been able to go to any cons/art shows since I've been away, so hopefully now that we'll be back in the States full time maybe I'll finally be able to do that next year :) My con experience is pretty much zero and it's something I've been hoping to work on a bit.

Neil and I are in Colombia, we're still getting situated and we probably have a bit of altitude sickness, so I'll continue to be scarce for a bit. We should feel better soon, but things are pretty nuts right now, Bogota is an insane city, and our spanish is pretty bad, we'd be pretty boned if Neil's boss and our room mate Carolina weren't so helpful in showing us around and helping us communicate.

I do have a new computer, and I hope to get back to painting soon, but I'll have to figure out if it will work out well enough to just use Neil's camera for now to photograph my artwork, as we don't have a scanner here. There are little shops right next door that will scan things for you though, so that might be another option, we'll see. I hope to reopen for commissions by the end of the month, but it really depends on how long it takes to get settled. Either way, I won't be able to ship any originals until we come back to visit in December.

I'm using an older computer but it's pretty slow so I apologize if I am slow to respond to notes and such.

I'm wrapping up commissions, packing, and some other to do list stuff, so I probably won't be too active until some time in September I think, aside from communicating with commissioners/other important stuff.

Commissions are closed for an indefinite period, until I figure out how to go about them after the move, and my store will only be open for maybe another week or two.

So, as a traditional artist I'll be changing the way I do commissions very soon here. I am moving to Bogota Colombia with my fiance at the end of August, he just finished school and he's got a good job offer there. For the most part this is all great, but it will change the way I do commissions and sell artwork.

As far as I have heard/read, the postal system in Colombia is pretty expensive, and not the most reliable. I'd hate to charge commissioners high postal fees for the mailing of original artwork, and have some of those packages not even show up. I also can't afford to comp my customers for lost/stolen packages, so unless the system improves in the fiveish years we may be living there, I will likely not be mailing from Colombia.

However, we do plan on visiting home in the USA at least once per year. My tentative plan is to continue taking periodic commissions while I live there, and for those customers who would like to own originals, I will hold on to them and bring them back when we visit for mailing. Until then they will be kept filed away, and commissioners will receive a high resolution file. Original artwork/jewelry/etc will probably be set to a preorder type of system, if someone buys something I will reserve it for them with the commissions needing mailed, and it too will be sent out when we visit.

Of course if I can find an alternative, I will do so, but for now this is my tentative plan. So just a heads up that things will be changing, and if you want something from me any time soon now is a good time to get it. I can take a couple more commissions before I close for my move in late August, hint hint nudge.

I'm also running a commission special - Draconic characters, as well as monster/alien/etc type characters are 15% off! Aliens/monsters need to fairly monstrous to get a discount, a cat with horns does not equal monster, alien who happens to look like an anthro fox does not equal alien. Not that there's anything wrong with these concepts/characters, I'm just particularly fond of painting and drawing dragons and monsters, as my watchers have likely noticed. Anthro or feral characters can both qualify. If you don't know if your character is monstrous/alien/draconic enough, please feel free to ask! I'm sorry this is such a vague discount, I'll try to be as fair as possible in evaluating who qualifies <3

I don't know if any of you will be in the area, but I'll be at C4 this weekend in the artist's alley selling prints, postcards, jewelry, and maybe some sketch cards. I'll also be acting as a stand in for my table mate Teresa, as she is unable to make it to the con in person, she'll have some cute fandom mini canvas paintings and fandom jewelry at the table.

Friday night is free preview night! Event programming, charity auction, costume contests are on Sat and Sun.
