Moved barns + YCHs coming soon!
Posted a year agoHowdy!
Real fast, I moved my horses to a new barn with more riding space and I'm **incredibly hyped** it's 300 acres of nature and places to explore. I can already see many beautiful locations and details. That being said, however, I may be a little slower next few days due to getting them settled and on a new feeding schedule.
ALSO, I will be dropping more paleo-leaning YCHs on the way sometime later next week, so keep an eye out. Will be very similar to this: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55617738/ and HEAVILY inspired by places from where I'm boarding my horses now and the sights out there.
Will be showing off my new YCH layout too with more personalized colors and such 😁
Thanks for the patience and support, everyone!

Commission type? 🤔
Posted 2 years agoHowdy
Would anyone be interested in this sort of commission style: https://bsky.app/profile/thedinosau...../3kiuxr5tuc22d
I've been making a few sketches like this recently and loved the process + results. Colored rough shaded sketches. They'd be sketchy so likely around $50 - $80 full body depending on complexity. Maybe even done on streams, since I've been back to those.
Just gauging interest and I appreciate the feedback.
I do still have (more) full render portraits--that were VERY requested--coming something soon. After I get a few more DnD Dino adopts done, so keep an eye out :)
Thanks!

health issue OTL
Posted 2 years ago[[[[[Edit: I apologize for the double post, not sure why that happened OTL]]]]]
Howdy everyone,
I apologize for another journal so soon after the last one, but this is a more serious topic and is effecting my life/workload so I wanted to provide information...
This last Thursday (directly following my trip) I spent most of the day in the ER. This entire ordeal has been very frightening and puzzling.
Woke up Thursday morning feeling completely fine and normal besides experiencing loss of sensation on the right side of my body. From head to toe, just *less* sensation. Not necessarily numbness or tingling. Almost as if there was a very light sleeve over my entire right side, split down the middle.
Additionally, my hearing was very poor out of my right ear (though that has improved some by now)
I checked into the ER at 10AM and was discharged by 6PM.
They preformed oodles of tests and took my condition very seriously, which I am grateful for.
CT scan, MRI (both with/without contrast) urine and blood tests, X-rays of my chest, X-rays of my eyes (to ensure I was fine for the MRI) EKG, constant blood pressure and oxygen monitoring.
None of these tests showed any indication I had damage from a stroke, nor that I was currently having one, despite the persistent loss of sensation I experienced throughout the entire day + am still experiencing now.
My coagulation and thrombosis both were within normal ranges. My RBC and WBC counts were in normal ranges.
The whole ordeal has been extremely frightening and my anxiety is through the roof... Not only for obvious health reasons, but I also just returned from a week-long long trip where I took time off work with no income. The unfortunate reality of beings self-employed and not being able to afford insurance... Gotta love it. 🥴
I'm genuinely not sure what this is, perhaps a pinched nerve? I'm hoping nothing more serious... I'm relieved it doesn't appear to be a stroke, but I'm worried it may progressively get worse--or at the very least, not improve without any answers as to why... I am going to be scheduling a follow up with the neurologist today now the holiday weekend is over (the office was--of course--closed Friday.)
Now, I'm trying to remain productive and I apologize for responding slower to everything. Only took one commission this week to work on slowly and may put some adopts up. But they recommended keeping myself physically moving (not excessively) and limiting stress/lowering my anxiety, so that's become my primary focus.
Thank you everyone for the support and kindness you've shown. Hopefully my next update will be better news.
Stay safe, take care of yourselves. ✨

Home! Resuming work + small annoucement!
Posted 2 years agoHowdy everyone!
Thanks for the patience while I was out of town. Visited my folks up north + saw some old childhood locations, beautiful scenery and visited a few cities I hadn't been to in a long while (Boston + Brooklyn, NY) The journey back was long and I'm not feeling the best... But gosh am I glad to be home :) I don't feel rested whatsoever (lol) but I do feel ready to continue my work and try a couple new things.
Will be resuming work as usual now.... So long as I don't actually get anymore sick. Wore a mask anytime I was inside public places--or any large-nearby crowds outside-- so hoping that cuts down on germ exposure.
- Both commission slots this week were claimed early by patrons through my discord. If you're not a member already, I honestly encourage you to consider joining. Even $2 a month gets you first access. 🙂
- Will be making + launching the first dinosaur annual sweater YCHs in December, so keep an eye out. Will be a mixture of simple ones and a few full renders. I am beyond excited to continue this tradition I started back in 2017-2018 that can be shared with everyone! ✨
- I also am conjuring a Dino-December list of my own that will have a mixture of personal paleoart + couple slots open for portrait-style commissions to claim. Will release more details about that when the time comes and as stated before, patrons will see/access all this first.
Genuinely appreciate all the support and kindness everyone has shown. All the favorites, comments and watches etc. And the patience while I was away for a somewhat-extended period of time. Looking forward to making more content for you :)

Resuming work today (small delay!)
Posted 2 years agoHowdy everyone!
Yesterday the vet was out for check ups + horses getting their teeth floated which turned into an all day affair. My horses and my friend's horses had to be caught, brought in, floated, (one at a time) then wake up in the stalls. The medication had to wear off before they'd be able to walk around correctly and with ANY type of coordination lol So we needed to wait before they could be turned out safely. All of them did splendid though and their teeth are in much better shape. :)
That being said, I basically lost an entire work day so I'll be adding an extra one on all my current projects. That way I'm able to catch up comfortably! I deeply apologize for this delay and will work hard to ensure everything is delivered (hopefully) within the usual time-frame. Just wanted to give myself extra room just in case. :)
Thank you so much everyone for all the support and kindness!

Halloween/fall dino YCHs in the works
Posted 2 years agoHowdy!
Asked my patrons and it was decided that I'll be doing a couple Halloween/fall dinosaur YCHs this year. Probably only 4 , though, due to scheduling.
I know I wasn't able to do the usual crab+Dino YCHs this year, as summer was just... Way too hectic and busy for me. They're one of my favorite returning series, so I'm hoping next year will be improved. However, I do still have plans on beginning the annual dinosaur sweaters sometime late November/early December though.
In the meantime, Halloween/fall dino YCHs will be posted through my patreon discord first, then any left open will go public here afterward, so keep an eye out. :)
Thanks everyone for all the support!

Tentatively seeking world building/RP pals
Posted 2 years agoEDIT UPDATE!!! Pausing this for now while I talk to some of you who answered already that seem to have good compatibility! For those coming in after this was opened, I appreciate the interest, I just think I reached my compacity lol I genuinely appreciate everyone who's reached out!! Thank you!! :)
Howdy everyone!
Though my life is always kind of chaotic and busy, I have recently been wanting to explore more world-building + character design and development with a partner. Most of my closer friends aren't really into fiction... Or at least not creating it lol therefore, I'm tentatively looking into starting a new roleplay/world building series with someone. A good match with similar interests and expectations is a must though.
I included some important details about what I'm interested in and looking for, to see if there may be some compatibility :)
() I enjoy world-building a lot!! Making up the universe, how it functions in greater detail. From the methods/use of magic, to religious lore, to how the economy works. Stuff like that helps with emersion. I find it's easier to connect with others who feel the same, or at least can follow along with grand schemes.
() Fantasy, historic, medieval, Victorian, high-fantasy and DnD style worlds are what I'm really interested in. Modern or sci-fi settings are just not as appealing to create. I actually have an expansive universe (or two lol) created that I would be willing to use and expand upon with loads of information about, if that made it easier for the other party. :)
() Romantic stories are a huge favorite!! But I am honestly only into M/M (gay) romantic stories. Can be cis or trans, that's 100% open, though trans characters are hugely important to me too and I like to incorporate them.
() I prefer humanoid characters over anthros. I know that may be unpopular on a site like FA, but it's a preference. Draconic/reptilian characters would be a second choice. HOWEVER!!!!! I do love, love, love shape-shifters and humanoids with some beast characteristics. Shape-shifting can be either an anthro or feral form, just must be sapient. Not an actual animal. I have few of shifter characters already in other pre-established stories, so I greatly enjoy those and would be open to making more. :)
() I am open to NSFW topics but would prefer to gradually build into it. As previously stated, I LOVE romance--as dorky as that sounds--and though it's not required to be the majority focus of the story, I'd like it to be included. That being said, I'm down to discuss different kinks/scenarios for characters that we're both comfortable with before proceeding. 👌
() If you're not comfortable with me drawing the characters at some point, then we may not be the most compatible. In contrast, however, please do not just try to get art... I'd rather it become a passion project for us both vs a art machine. Bad experiences with that before and would like not to repeat it. 😢
() I also love spinning out on random alternate universe ideas and building off those too.
() Writing style is 3rd person and longer paragraphs (can provide examples if needed)
A couple things I am genuinely just... Not interested in for compatibilities sake:
() Characters that are consistently rude/off-putting/demeaning toward the others. I don't like the "mean to your crush" trope.
() Stories where the main focus is on gore/pain/misery/suffering exclusively. Difficult circumstances + traumatic events/pasts + brutal world settings are 100% fine. I actually like darker themes at times. But through a hopeful lens, if that makes sense? Not just doom and gloom.
() Anything involving vore. Just nope.
() Not expressly interested in anything with vampires/werewolves, though there are some expectations if the characters and settings are interesting enough.
Some examples of content that I enjoy the vibe/mood and would like to create something similar: Game of Thrones, Penny Dreadful, Outlander, Poldark, Witcher, Assassin's Creed, Skyrim, Lord of the Rings, Dungeons and Dragons, Dragon age, AVATAR (for the world-building) Ranger's Apprentice, Devil May Cry (for the characters) BloodBorne, Dark Souls, Dragonheart, somewhere in the middle of all those lol
My ToyHouse with some character examples: https://toyhou.se/TheDinosaurMann/characters
My War Demon story: https://toyhou.se/TheDinosaurMann/c.....folder:3084998 + https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery.....3859/War-Demon (Would love to expand on this one the most. A alternate version of it! :) )
Other stories for examples: https://www.furaffinity.net/gallery.....rsonal-art-OCs
Will reiterate, my schedule can be a little hectic, so sometimes I may be more/less active than others. But I communicate best as possible and appreciate the same from the other party.
If any of this sounds interesting to you, feel free to comment below or note me! Disclaimer though: I may not see notes as quickly as comments since I use those mostly for commission/work purposes 😅
Drop some characters that might be of interest, or share some ideas you may have, perhaps a world of your own you'd be interested in sharing and expanding together.
If I think of anything else, I'll edit + add but looking forward to hearing from ya'll.

Vet bills for horse + Ko-fi + May be slower!
Posted 2 years agoHowdy everyone,
As some of you may know, I own two horses who are both the absolute best boys that I love to pieces. I had to move barns recently due to my animals not being fed correctly (or sometimes at all) so things in most departments have improved. They're both back to healthy weights and on the mend! Or at least, by 50% 🙃
Now I'm dealing with another whole new set of problems, as my second horse was exhibiting symptoms of EPM for the last few weeks. I decided after trying a few simple methods--since many other things can share EPM symptoms--to go ahead and bite the bullet on a vet bill + blood test and sure enough, my gut was right...
This is by no means the end for him and he's going to be okay! The vet even said that his chances of recovery are great due to how it's progressed (he's not to the leaning on buildings or wobbling and falling when simply walking stage. If that helps give perspective) but it does require immediate care and attention along with treatment that can be incredibly costly. And long term. This coupled with my board price increasing after we moved.
I currently have a few more ko-fi sketches open for those interested in helping out in exchange for a doodle. https://ko-fi.com/i/ID1D1NUUYT
Please do keep in mind that once the goal is met (reaches 100%) these close. So check that before sending. However, donations/tips/support in general is greatly appreciated right now while I try and navigate through all this and the other personal things I have going on. Also if you like seeing content first, getting discounts and occasionally a chance to have characters drawn, I do have a patreon that's always open!
Additionally, I may work slower from time to time-- or am online less-- due to managing all this. Regardless, I plan to open some YCHs and continue taking commissions as often as I can mentally withstand to avoid burnout getting worse. I am going to try and stream once a week too (hopefully this weekend!) I just may extend my turn around time from 7 days to 14 per standard. It will depend!!
Anyway, thank you for reading, your patience and I hope to have better news on this matter next update!! Cross your fingers for Taz (my horse) !!

Stream schedule resuming soon (Outdated)
Posted 2 years agoHowdy everyone!
Small update just to give some details on my future plans + reasoning etc. As some may know, I will soon be relocating to a different barn after things at my current one have soured tremendously due to the owners of the facility. It's been incredibly stressful and I've had to go out in the mornings just to ensure my horses are fed.🙃 Once my horses are moved, I'll have my Sundays back and will be trying to stream at least one day a week opening different types of slots. :)
Current plans are to be streaming on either Monday, Thursday, Friday or Sunday every week. Likely no more than 1-2 times a week. Depending on what sort of slots I open, they would begin anywhere from 3:00PM CST to 6:00PM CST.
Examples of what I'm offering are most likely headshot doodles such as these: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/52468891/
However, I have plans to open full body (sketchy) slots in the future just for streams. Similar example: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/42098054/ Thicker lines without complicated backgrounds, possible options for a second character for +$, NSFW optional for +$, all that stuff. I will update + post accordingly once it's sorted!
Thank you everyone for all the support and being so patient. Will keep you posted once I have more definite plans established but this is my general outline in the meantime.
Until then, stay safe and thanks so much! :)

AI images 🙄
Posted 2 years agoSeeing the genuine lack of respect for artist's actual work + skills they developed over years is quite disheartening. What's worse is the excuses or deliberate misunderstanding of arguments made by the creators. Who don't want their content used to generate these images. There is currently NO "ethical" way to source Ai generated images. Therefore; until/unless there is, it should not be permitted anywhere. Countless artists are being exploited and taken advantage of by companies and losers on the internet looking to scam people for quick commissions.
It's also important to remember that even sharing images generated from these (potentially) dangerous programs is also propitiating the entire dumpster fire. Fueling an already out of control situation. It's not "just for fun" when it's at the behest of actual people's livelihood.
But it continues... Despite hearing the loud concerned responses from the very artists they're trying desperately to mimic or replicate from. Despite the clear pushback from artists who do not consent to their work being used for training these Ai programs. Though it shouldn't be a surprise they don't care, it's disappointing regardless...
However, on the flip side: Watching as other members of the community here work together to keep this sort of content off the platform is wonderful, honestly. Thank you for putting in time and effort to help protect a space where we aren't oversaturated with theft. It's encouraging to see so many people behind each other to offer support for actual artists and their trades. ✨
FA may have it's faults--some tremendous and some simple-- but I do appreciate their willingness to stand by actual artists and block this nonsense.
Keep up the good fight, ya'll and please keep making your art.

Added raptor/canine fee + details! :)
Posted 2 years agoI wanted to make a small explanation announcement here as I'll be implementing a new small fee regarding canines and raptors going forward. Some of you may recall, this was previously in place before (about 2 years ago) but I removed it for a period of time after my situation improved.
As an artist, I get very burned out drawing certain things repeatedly and as many of you may know, raptors are not my favorite subject to draw. It's been a joke within my community since 2019 and I previously charged +$10 in some instances to draw them.
Recently within the last 2-3 months, they've been the subject of many commissions and my burn out has gradually increased (which is my own responsibility to manage and no ones fault) especially when compounded by everything going on IRL, it's made drawing somewhat challenging, but I like making people happy and bringing their characters to life.
Will I still draw them? Absolutely!!! I have nothing against them and folks are allowed to enjoy whatever they like. I'll always do my best to accomplish that for them and make unique art pieces. :)
I personally would prefer not having to draw them so frequently though (same for canines, which I outright refused to draw for about a year due to lack of interest) and my intent is to never to offend nor upset anybody by implementing something to help myself enjoy my own art process more.
It's a small +$5 fee onto any order when raptors or canines are involved *unless* it's the ko-fi sketches. Those are just flat rate regardless for everyone no matter the species. :)
I hope ya'll understand and can respect my choice as an artist to try and curb some of this burn out! Things have been rough in my personal life lately and the melting emoji pretty much sums up how I've been feeling lol
Stay safe everyone!
Thanks everyone!

Tablet Pen problems (:
Posted 2 years agoHowdy everyone!
Long story short: Had to call (Wacom) customer service over an issue my tablet pen is having. The pressure is inconsistent right at the initial brushstroke which leads to the lines being thin, then thick, then thin despite my actual physical hand not applying it that way. Additionally, it would cut out or drop pressure/increase pressure completely at random. Super frustrating and slowed me down.
They diagnosed the issue being related to the pen, as I had already uninstalled, reinstalled and cartwheeled around the drivers twice. Restarted the PC, checked for Wacom updates, etc. Everything lol
The pen should be here within the next 1-2 days since I had it overnighted! I may be a little behind on commissions this week so I apologize in advance and appreciate the patience!!
Stay safe everyone!

Taking a small break (commissions resuming after 3/5/2023...
Posted 2 years agoHowdy everyone!
After today/tomorrow when I finish the last full render painting that was commissioned, I will be taking a small break from commission work to work on my own projects + just have plain ol time off. I'm stressing a bit about the absence and lack of income during this time, but my excitement outweighs the fears. I've been on the edge of burn-out recently (especially with so many negative/sad things happening in my personal life) so this is very much needed.
In terms of content during this time, there will be more Paleo Sounds content coming!!!!!!!!!! *AND* I'll be finishing a few of my own paleoart paintings I didn't have time for. I am so excited!! :)
There's also a horse show on the 4th that--so long as weather permits-- I'll be attending.
Now in terms of commissions, don't worry!!! I already know I'll be looking forward to resuming my usual work schedule after the first few days lol
I will be opening more thin line slots on the 5th for patrons first, then any remaining will come here so please keep an eye out!
I want to also say thank you for all the recent support and kindness you all have shown me while going through recent troubling events and having to work a bit slower than normal. I appreciate the patience and genuine compassion from this community that I've honestly not experienced in other "fandoms."
I hope everyone is doing well and please take care of yourselves, stay safe, stay warm in the winter and know that you're awesome :)
Until I return/post next, thank you!

Full render commission slot! (PENDING)
Posted 2 years agoEDIT: Slot is pending!
Howdy everyone,
This week's batch is almost complete and due to recent personal events, I plan to try and scale back the amount of work next week and focusing on just two commissions instead of 3-4+
This offer was opened to patrons first on my exclusive discord, and through there one slot was claimed (starting next week) but the other remains open. I opened these a little while ago and they were super fun and a nice change of pace (see journal here!)
These will be full render with a painterly style similar to these examples: 1.) https://www.furaffinity.net/view/43577645/ 2.) https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50685695/
Pricing is between $300-$400+ depending. Things such a wings (or multiple sets of wings) or a cityscape background request may increase price, for example.
Would especially love to make some realism paleo/dinosaur related or even humanoid as an excuse to expand in that area where I've not been able to much recently. I would also prefer to keep it to a single character this time, but if a second was really wanted it would at least +$200 or more to add. Because it would mean more time etc. This also does depend on the concept itself too.
These carry a HEAVY artistic liberty approach, however, since I find that I just... Function better when given less restraints. If that makes any sense?
If you're interested, I am opening one other slot so please comment below to claim. If you have questions feel free to ask.
Thanks everyone!

Dealing with loss...
Posted 2 years agoHowdy everyone,
Just a small sort of update and even personal vent. In case I end up getting behind on work/projects. I don't expect to--and will try my hardest not to--but always prefer to be transparent.
Last week the barn where I train suffered the loss of two different animals... This is a warning in advance as I'll be (minorly) discussing death and other sort of 'depressing' topics etc so please feel free to discontinue reading if this is a difficult time for you too. I'd rather you keep happy and healthy over reading my big sad lol
One of them was a older horse who was likely in his 30s, from what we understood, and arrived very thin and not well-tended to. Covered in ticks, mud, and underweight. The months following he made improvements and was dearly loved by everyone (he would lean his head out of the stall to get chin scratches 🥺) His condition started to take another turn earlier this week, however, and he had a difficult time standing/walking. he was breathing heavily without doing much. The vet was called and through a process, they determined his heart was struggling/failing. He was put to sleep quietly and his pasture friends were allowed to say goodbye... His name was Rich, and he was a very, very good boy... I didn't know him terribly long, but it never gets any easier seeing these intelligent, sensitive and wonderful animals struggle with the fear of their dwindling circumstance. Or the sudden onset, as was the case with dear Percy...
To add to the sadness, I discovered one of the barn cats inside a stall today between morning and afternoon chores, after he had passed away unexpectedly. We don't know what happened to him exactly but it was a terribly disheartening sight... He was alone and we didn't even have the opportunity to help him... His name was Orion and he was one of the cutest cats. So smart, and an excellent hunter, he often caught mice and was always so entertaining to watch.
These losses both occurring while my brother has been rather sick in bed (and I have been caring for him) Meanwhile the world around us just seems to be in a cycle of finding hope, then falling apart... It's been difficult to remain composed when the realization of just how short life is keeps surfacing. I'll avoid delving deep into this aspect, as it's personal but has been making work a bit difficult to focus on.
Please, give your loved ones and pets extra hugs, if you haven't already. Take care of yourselves, know you're always worth it, and loved, and deserving and thank you for reading.

YOUR favorite dinosaurs! Feedback wanted :)
Posted 3 years ago**EDIT**
Wow!!! I am absolutely blown away by all the responses, thank you so much! I will be taking these into account going forward into my project. I greatly appreciate everyone who took the time to answer and provide this feedback. Hopefully ya'll will like the impending results too! :)
Howdy everyone!
I am hoping to get some feedback/ideas and sparks of inspiration for a side-project of mine. This will ultimately be disclosed more to patrons--before going public--but I am wondering: What are YOUR favorite dinosaur(s)???
Please comment below! Though be aware, "raptors" are not something I will be including in this project. So if they're you're first, feel free to share a second/third! :)
Thank you in advance!

Taking a trip!
Posted 3 years agoHowdy everyone!
As previously mentioned in journals before, I will be out of town from the 10th to 17th roughly in order to drive and visit family up north.
Haven't seen them in two years since I moved south, so it's been a long time coming.
The road will be intense, however--1,400 miles (give or take) and estimated 22 hours--so it'll be about two days of pure driving each direction. I'd love to spend more time with my family than this, but unfortunately I cannot afford to take that much time away from work.
Additionally, I've been taking extra precautions to avoid getting exposed to rona/limited my time in public and avoided all large/small gatherings, so that I don't bring any germs there.
Thanks everyone for understanding in advance why uploads will be slower and I won't likely be taking any commissions until I've returned.
Thanks for reading and stay safe out there!!

Made one: https://www.pillowfort.social/TheDinosaurMann Feel free to connect with me there. Don't know how active I'll be, since it reminds me of Tumblr but figured why not. :)
I also made a group especially for paleoart/dinosaurs too https://www.pillowfort.social/commu.....y/Paleoartists

Sick???
Posted 3 years agoHowdy everyone!
Short and simple, but recently I hurt my knee pretty bad while horse training (long story lol) and thought I may have developed an infection. Though it seemed unlikely due to when it happened + my wound care being kept up. Regardless, I went to urgent care after running a low grade fever for a few hours + experiencing chills + body aches. Just wanted to rule out any possible issues there, since it appeared quite coincidental.
Results were that it's not an infection and the fever may be a sickness of some sort. I've no sore throat, cough, congestion, loss of taste/smell etc that's linked with covid so I'm really puzzled but going to take it easy. I apologize for the slowness of art at the moment and had to basically take today off completely, just feeling exhausted/unwell then spending a few hours at urgent care. Will hopefully be back to normal soon and I appreciate the patience more than I can describe!
Hope you all are well and safe!

MOVING (UPDATE)
Posted 3 years agoHowdy everyone!
As per my previous journal: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/10115667/ you may be aware that my brother and I had to move into a new rental.
So far, everything's gone pretty well and we're (mostly) settled into the new location. Still some various things to sort out and I'll be working on getting my desk set up today.
The internet appears to be having some inconsistency issues and is rather weak, despite having the highest speed/strength plan they have available in our area.
Hoping to resume opening stream slots either tomorrow or the next day as usual (INCLUDING full render slots) I cannot wait to get back to work!! I've missed the process and it will be nice having something familiar to do after all the upheaval.
Regardless, thank you so much for all the support and patience during this process!
And a special thanks to my patrons for sticking this out with me! <3
Keep an eye out for stream slot openings **AND** will be resuming full render slots every Friday again! :)

MOVING! OTL
Posted 4 years agoHowdy everyone,
I'm generally a private person and don't mean to divulge too much personal information. I merely feel it's important to be transparent regarding how certain circumstances may affect my work-flow/response times etc.
After learning that both my parents back home have covid + pneumonia (Ma is currently admitted to the hospital) my brother and I were informed by the landlord that they'll be selling the property where we live now. Meaning we wouldn't be able to renew our lease another year. Understandably this has caused boatloads of stress between trying to keep in contact with my family's situation over 1,300 miles away. Meanwhile try to locate somewhere else for us to move when the lease ends.
Equally, this unraveled huge portions of my plans for possibly purchasing a home/farm this year...
However, thankfully they have another property for us to switch into, but I opted to secure this sooner and we'll be moving Feb 7th-8th. They wouldn't have held the house for us until the end of March--when the original lease expired--and I didn't want to lose the location + house, since it's very nice. Going to be a lot of unplanned expenses very suddenly, but... Such is life, I suppose haha
Saying all this to say, I apologize for slower responses, longer-ish turn around times, or any prolonged absences. I'm still going to be working on commissions and maintaining my schedule to the best of my ability. Between all this--then being really sick myself--I've been struggling to stay on track. But I'm looking ahead as positively as possible!
I'll be taking a little time off between the 6th and 10th of Feb to get everything packed and ready to move, then unpacked and set up. REALLY HOPING we don't have frozen pipes + internet issues this time around lol
I'm grateful for all the support, especially from my incredible patrons and friends who have been there.
Thank you everyone for reading and understanding.
Please stay safe out there and give your family big hugs when you can...

Dino sweaters!!
Posted 4 years agoHowdy ya'll!
As you may know, this is a little tradition of mine I've been doing since (I think) 2018 every year with the dinosaur sweaters/winter themes. Despite not being a huge fan of the cold months, drawing them has always been an enjoyable experience. Especially when you add dinosaurs to the mix haha
Last year I focused on slightly larger pieces and subjects, so this time I wanted to keep them real cute and simple. Almost like little snow globes for each one. :) Hoping to have a least 1-2 up every week going forward through the winter season.
Got a bunch more planned and in the works, so keep an eye out!
Please note: These will NOT take the place of my weekly full render slot, however. That will open every Friday for those who are wanting to commission me for something different!
As always, patrons see everything/get first access to slots through my discord, before they're posted publicly.
https://www.patreon.com/ArtoftheBeast
Thanks everyone for all the support and patience while I've had so many IRL issues arise, cannot tell you how much it means. Thankfully I am basically back to 100% but it was a little rough haha

Health related issues
Posted 4 years agoHowdy everyone,
Just wanting to make a quick sweeping update to inform ya'll that I tested positive for covid this evening. I will be trying to rest/recover. So far my symptoms are pretty minor, but I understand they could worsen if not managed carefully.
This came as quite the surprise seeing as I've been fully vaccinated, wear double masks everywhere in public, limit/social grouping to outside exclusively and rarely leave the house besides to the barn.
However, I'm going to take this in stride and do my best to recover quickly. Worse still, my sister is visiting from out of town--and though we used precautions prior to her arrival (and during her stay)--we're hoping it's been enough to prevent her from infection also. She'll have to stay another 14 days at least, until I am no longer infected. OTL
In the meantime work may be a little slower but I will still try my best to finish projects/orders in a timely manner. I cannot express enough how much your patience and understanding during this time is appreciated.
Thank you for your time and please be well!

In the meantime work may be a little slower but I will still try my best to finish projects/orders in a timely manner. I cannot express enough how much your patience and understanding during this time is appreciated.
Thank you for your time and please be well!
