A year in reveiw.
General | Posted 8 years agoHey all, I know I'm really bad at making posts on here. Some art is in the works I promise. Just been kinda slow going. Also I think it is about time to get rid of that old journal that's been on here for the past year now :P
Anyway, kinda felt like giving you guys an update on what's been going on and plans for the future.
The past year... oh boy, was there a lot going on for me. Will admit 2017 started a bit rocky, well... really rocky to be honest. Not going to sugar coat it, me and my mate almost broke up. was a pretty shitty first couple months. That being said, we did talk things though and we are doing a lot better this year, still working some things through, but I'm looking forward to having another year together. Love my hubbin so I'm putting a lot of effort into our relationship.
Some really good things I have done. Well, I quit working for that shithole job I've had for the past 10 years. Lets just say that walmart can take it up the ass just as I have taken it from them for... waaay too long. Super happy to be out of there. I haven't got a job yet, but what I am currently doing will certainly help with that. Currently going to school for automotive service technician. About halfway through actually, even though it really doesn't feel like it. But so far, I feel like I'm doing really well, been getting at least in the high 80%'s for marks. Also been making a few new friends here and there, hoping to keep that ball rolling.
Now for future stuff. As said before I'm trying to get some more art on the go, been way too stagnant on that, I do have ideas that I would like to get at least on paper. If my schooling keeps going as well as it is, I'm hoping that after I get my level 1, I'll be able to get a good spot in at least a tire and brake shop. Would also love to be able to do a couple things to my car. My heart is set on swapping a 3S-GTE turbo into it some day and have myself a great little Rav4 sleeper ;P. And again of coarse I want to keep building on friendships and continue to keep my relationship with my hubby well.

So I've been thinking...
General | Posted 10 years agoBeen kinda thinking about a few things and I have come to a couple conclusions. I have been thinking about who I am on a few different levels and looking at my sona, and sadly have been having some second thoughts about things lately. I'm not really feeling the dragon. Yeah I know I have gone years as the derg, but rethinking things, and the way things have been lately. I'm not really feeling the tough noble firebreathing brute thing anymore. I'm a little more skittish IRL and not really as assertive as a dragon should be. I'm feeling more of a connection to equine. Yup, I'm gonna change sona to horse. Might even do a name change. Something along the lines of Shane or something. This is something I have thought of for a while and hope that all my friends accept the changes. This being said, now that some of you have had a heart attack by me saying this, I would like to take the time to point out the date of this journal and give a little giggle to anyone who thought I was serious. Hope you have a happy April 1st, don't cause too much trouble out there guys. Also thought it was about time I got rid of old journal too.

For those of you who don't know her work, She is the author of the "Dragonriders of Pern" books. She had quite an impact on my life, and one of my reasons for my draconity. I loved her dragonsand, I got quite attached to her characters and her books had a way of bringing me into her world of dragons. I will miss her work.

General | Posted 15 years agoDracula, Mr.Magoo, Frank Drebin, however you may remember him, has passed today (Nov 28) at 84. The loss of a great Canadian icon. Some how it seems to hit me close to home too cause he was born in the Same city (Regina Sask.) as me means something. I know it sounds kinda silly, but I like to think having that very trivial thing in common with him. That and i like to think that, even though Sask is a bit of a boring flatland. Some great thing can com from it.
